101  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Legalization of drugs? on: January 31, 2018, 01:19:39 PM
If all drugs are legalized, it then means that poison is also legalized for some combination
of drugs have chemical output very harmful to health.Hence, legalizing all drugs could abet
poisoning and fatality from those who may fall victim to the pangs of such ''hard drugs''.There
should be absolute control to drugs people are permitted to use.

Bleach is already legal my dude.

Problem is addiction and no one gets addicted to  bleach.

Very dangerous drugs should not be legalized.

I think the taxes are calculated on an yearly basis and you are very late for that.

Cybersquatting is registering a trademarked or business use name with the intention of selling it for profit to the rightful owner of the mark. Wikipedia defines it here -
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cybersquatting

Parking is the hosting of a domain, and placing a lander page on the site pending sale or development. Here is one of my parking pages -

Bitcoin Knife

A parking page may ( and usually has) got paid advertising links and banners, and a domain for sale link.

So if you create a domain before a business is even created then it's not cybersquatting?

It's not really the creation, but the reason for the creation. If the main purpose of the registration was to attempt to sell the name to a trademark owner, then that can be considered as a "bad faith" registration, and you could have the name taken away from you.

There are some interesting anomalies though. Allowing a name to expire and drop is considered as showing a lack of interest in the name, and can be a defence in a bad faith case. Of course the normal commercial laws still apply, and misuse of the name could be considered as "passing off".

When a name drops and is re-registered, then the age of the name starts at the time of the registration. However, if the name is purchased in an expired auction, and it isn't allowed to drop, then it retains its age. For example, last December I bought TissueNews.com in an expired auction, and that name had been in continuous use since 1999. When the name was transferred to me, then the age came with it. This can be helpful if one is defending a trademark action.

So if I created the name to sell to someone other than the trademark owner then it is legal?

The Bitcoin community is deeply divided
Transactions take too long
fees are way too high
no real end in sight.

Note: This topic is about Peace not War.
Seriously, how to end the "BTC Civil War" before it gets worse?
I don't think that bitcoin community is deeply divided
we are online and people express their opinion but it doesn't mean that the community is divided
maybe people are a little frustrated but it is normal, this is a big revolution and bitcoin is the game changer
all the focus is on bitcoin

everybody knows that lighting network is operative now that it means veeery low fees and fe seconds transactions

just be patient and HODL!

The community is divided that's why the bcash forked bitcoin.
107  Other / Serious discussion / Re: How to end the "BTC Civil War" before it gets worse? on: January 21, 2018, 10:20:27 AM
I have read important views and how to go about it but from my point of view is the beginning of the situation is when the BCH fork happen because before then, all we do is complain and complain about how situation of things are but nobody was thinking of taking sides. The only competition was between bitcoin and ETH but at the outbreak of the fork then we see infighting with people taking sides.

Solution to the problem is what I will agree with what Darkstar_ propounded because every other options will only be temporary while having a body to regulate will defeat decentralization. The moment the lightning network is done to have maximum adoption, lots of issue surrounding bitcoin is 70% solved while we live with the rest.

What will this body to regulate do?

I'm fine with eating meats , i don't love vegetables that much.

There are many vegan dishes not just vegetables. There are vegan pizzas and burgers.
109  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Crypto related domain names on: January 21, 2018, 10:15:29 AM
There are already laws against cybersquatting.

Cybersquatting is a different issue, and it is deprecated in the domain name industry.

What's the difference between cybersquatting and domain parking?
110  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Crypto related domain names on: January 18, 2018, 03:18:50 PM
It's a really a shame people are snapping up all the decent .com related crypto domains. Hope to see this kind of practice made illegal by ICANN.

What a strange comment - should Supermarkets be allowed to buy food to sell on at a profit? How about all those people buying Bitcoin, and saving them.

What really annoys me about domain names is when a great name is registered, and somebody puts a Mickey Mouse site on it. and they won't sell it for proper development.

It takes a lot of time and skill to find decent domain names. Would you spend 3 hours looking through lists, and not buying anything?

There are already laws against cybersquatting.
111  Other / Serious discussion / Re: How to end the "BTC Civil War" before it gets worse? on: January 18, 2018, 03:16:24 PM
You cannot end it. The fork has happened and the two coins have gone their seperate ways.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin dies does altcoin die? on: January 15, 2018, 09:47:50 PM
Bitcoin dying at this point doesn't mean altcoins will die also. Crypto is too big right now for that to happen. But it would be a major blow.
113  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Are Your Thoughts On Vegans? Or Going Vegan ? on: January 02, 2018, 07:19:25 AM
I think going vegan is good in most ways, but there is nothing wrong with eating meat once a month or a few times a year.
114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Can You Say On Bitcoin's Transaction Cost? on: December 18, 2017, 05:19:41 AM
We cant use bitcoin for daily use. Bitcoin is useless because the main purpose of bitcoin is for peer to peer transaction but how can use it if the fee is too much. They introduce bitcoin for investment not for daily use

Some people are saying it is now a store of value and not a currency.

117  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin business success on: December 03, 2017, 11:51:08 PM
This totally depends on whether you'll be providing a service that is dedicated toward people who are directly involved with bitcoin and prefer to conclude deals with this particular payment method , or you'll be selling goods that can be sold or bought in fiat .

I'd be more interested in doing business with goods that can be also bought in fiat , i know a guy who owns a bar in France , he's been accepting bitcoin payments for drinks since 2012 and the guy is very happy of making this decision since at the moment he started , a Mojito cocktail costed 0.25 Bitcoin , a simple beer was around 0.1 Bitcoin .
And for the cherry on top of the cake , he has been keeping all payments received in bitcoin from the day he adopted it , the guy is a young millionaire now and still works in his own bar , he even opened up 3 more in other regions of France .

Such business can be very beneficial if you look at it from the long term perspective , because bitcoin is certainly going to rise even more and what you sell for 0.01 bitcoin today is worth ~110$ , in few days/weeks it could be worth 220$ .

Most Bitcoin businesses are not good for the people if you consider that they usually close within 5 years. I don't know of many BTC businesses that have been open for more than 5 years actually. There are a few that come ti my mind, but they can be counted on my fingers. The reality is Bitcoin business is super risky and it is like 1995 of crypto. Most of them which exist now are going to fail in the very near future.
118  Economy / Economics / Re: Difference of Trading and Investing? on: December 03, 2017, 11:46:52 PM
Trading is something you should only do if you are a genius with crypto. It is extremely risky and you are asking to lose everything by doing it. Eventually you get stuck with all your moeny in one crypto because the price wen very high up or down after you invested and you cannot buy/sell or you will lose money, so you get stuck bagholding and that is the worst part and scariest part about trading whereas investing doesn't come with such greats risks.
119  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we should fear a cashless world on: December 03, 2017, 11:43:36 PM
I fear a cashless world because we do not know what it entails. Although if you think about it, we are living in a cashless world today. Most countries don't even use cash as a primary tool of monetary exchange anymore. It is simply a fact.
120  Economy / Economics / Re: Easiest way to make BTC? on: December 03, 2017, 11:35:36 PM

I can tell you one way that I make easy BTC is by an affiliate program, LocalBitcoins to be specific, I make some extra money in BTC every day from LBC who pays me a small commission from everyone that buy Btitcoin on their site. It really is a great way to make extra cash ona  daily basis without doing much work... passive income for the win. Smiley
