101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CRBIT] Creditbit Hybrid POS/POW | x11 | 1min blocks | 100M CRBIT on: April 22, 2017, 08:11:52 PM
Hi!

Just checked my Cryptopia account and found info about coinswap - but looks like it's over. Is there still some way to exchange my 1200CREDIT to new coins or they are now a reminder of not checking accounts often?

Thanks!

Debian 8 x64 - still crashing with:

Code:
from src/bitcoinrpc.cpp:8:
src/bignum.h:52:24: error: invalid use of incomplete type ?BIGNUM {aka struct bignum_st}?
 class CBigNum : public BIGNUM

No blocks added to the chain for over 3 months. Guess this coin is done. Sad

restarted my solo pool and put 3 mini gridseeds on it to support network - just 1 block was generated. Will let them mine.

If someone needs it - can reconfigure this NOMP pool to be public.

Was trying to build QT wallet under Debian 8 x64 and getting this:

Code:
usr/include/boost/type_traits/detail/has_binary_operator.hp:50: Parse error at "BOOST_JOIN"
Makefile:779: recipe for target 'build/overviewpage.moc' failed
make: *** [build/overviewpage.moc] Error 1

I advise you compile your own.
You can easily build your own by following the link:
https://github.com/tpruvot/sgminer/tree/veltor
And then follow the build instructions:
Quote
Windows build instructions
See doc/windows-build.txt for MinGW compilation and cross-compilation, doc/cygwin-build.txt for building using Cygwin, or use the provided winbuild Microsoft Visual Studio project (tested on MSVS2010), with instructions in winbuild/README.txt.

tried to build all day and nothing - only Cygwin version builds and a Linux one... but has no and gpu linux rig to test (with nVidia it never works).. no MSVC version or MinGW one...

Double check that config, maybe a typo.

Code seems to have reservebalance option but I have not tried it myself.

yea it was reserverdbalance ... Thanks

is there any way to force CASH coin wallet STOP minting (tried reserverdbalance in conf file but it doesn't work)? Have 2 wallets on multicore Xeon systems and they become unresponsive while doing PoS...

It should continue syncing after some time. If not try restarting slimcoind, this fixed it for me.

tried... no go Sad

Used the same way to transfer blockchain from windows wallets to Linux slimcoind daemon. It works with almost every coin.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Slimcoin Official thread. First Proof of Burn cryptocurrency. New Bounties 2016 on: December 22, 2016, 04:37:02 PM
2. The Slimcoin-project github repository defaults to the slimcoin branch. The development work has been done in the master branch. In order to use the (pre-release) development code in the master branch, if you git clone https://github.com/slimcoin-project/Slimcoin.git, you also need to:

Code:
$ cd slimcoin
$ git checkout master
$ qmake
$ make

Otherwise you will end up using the “old” client <- please note, this is necessarily not a problem in and of itself, merely not what you were expecting.

Thanks! Missed this moment - so the 530 block-stuck was from old version. Now recompiled from Master - will see how it works.

Is there any plans to add slimcoin support to NOMP pool? - Can host one for the tests on my server.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Slimcoin Official thread. First Proof of Burn cryptocurrency. New Bounties 2016 on: December 21, 2016, 08:21:48 AM
Came across Slimcoin because Graham mentioned the integrated block explorer in another thread on bct, that made me curious and I decided to give it a try. So far I think Slimcoin is pretty unique and its Proof of Burn very interesting.

I am runing the QT wallet from https://github.com/slimcoin-project/Slimcoin on Debian Wheezy (7)  64-bit and I have so far two issues:

- Entering "help" in the debug window closes the QT client immediately, without any notice in debug.log

- synching is repeatedly stuck after exactly 530 blocks:
I deleted everything except wallet.dat and restarted, after a few seconds I am again stuck at exactly block #530. The error is mostly something like
ERROR: CheckBlock() : coinbase reward exceeded 153.34 > 50.00

These errors repeat since about 30mins and I get no more new blocks on synching even so I have 3-4 connections all the time.
Did the same a 3rd time with slimcoind and have the same results, stuck at 530. It seems the coinbase transaction does not match the requirements of the client somehow.
I am using the addnodes from OP, and I noticed that Slimcoin does not use a peers.dat for storing peers, how does the Slimecoin client keep peers information between two restarts?

Cheers - psycodad

yes - console slimcoind stucks on 530 block too... only exporting full blockchain from Windows client worked for me

Is there actually any Proof-of-Stake used currently in Slimcoin? It is mentioned but there is very little information about the PoS side..

yes and it works
