105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / 7870 Tahiti only mines LTC on: April 25, 2013, 11:02:50 PM
Hello,

I have a PowerColor 7870 Tahiti. I use CGMINER 2.11. When I mine LTC, this card goes until I stop it. The card runs with default settings for now, as I have been running into issues mining BTC w/ the same miner.

During LTC, the card is getting to 82 Celsius. That seems high to me, but it keeps going, so I don't mind. Once I switch to BTC, the temp goes up, like usual, stays about the same. However, it will end up with a DEAD result in the hash. If I change to the guiminer, using openCL, it eventually gives me a 'connection problem'.

When I get these issues, I am able to re-start the process instantly. Unfortunately, these are mining rigs, so I set them to be un-manned through the day. Suspecting I was having a driver problem, I rolled back the driver from the current beta (13.3?) to the prior. Same problem. These issues started w/ my Win8 system. So, I changed to a Win7 box, same problem.

I have also purchased a new PSU, thinking (hoping) that the problem was with a bad powerrail or something, I was wrong. So, I am stuck only mining LTC (which isn't bad) but I would like the freedom. Do you all think its a bad video card? Or is there something SO different about the way this card calculates scrypt vs sha256?

This card is brand new....but I'm at a loss.

Hello,

I am selling 1 of 2 of my v5900's. These are only a few months old. They come OEM from HP, from my workstations, transplanted into my desktop for AutoCAD. Since classes stopped, I did use them to mine a bit, but thats not why you should buy them (they get under 100 mh/s). However, they are great desktop cards. If you look at my profile in the past, I have sold a few video cards in 2011, so I have a positive rep. $225 USD/BTC/LTC/PPC equivelant or willing to trade...looking for entry level FPGA stuff to learn, or even other mining cards. I prefer to ship in US only, but can work with you if you are outside the US. I will ship USPS flatrate for their normal price ($10.95?? I think?)

Let me know or PM me.

111  Economy / Goods / WTS: 3 PC's for sale - tested on: September 17, 2012, 12:48:34 AM
I have 3 standard PC's for sale, if anyone is interested. I have an idea of what I would like to get, but am open to offers. I have sold here before, so I have a few references. I would prefer to take BTC and I am selling here first because I am getting sick of Ebay (have that account too for verification - ultraimports1)

Let me know offers, models are: 2x Dell Optiplex 755 - Core2Duo, 2GB, one has 160GB HDD, other 80GBHDD, and 1x Acer Aspire AM1641, Pentium E2180 dual core, 2GB RAM, 320GBHDD. These are standard run-of-the-mill desktops from a few years ago. They have COA's on them but for Vista, OS and OEM CD's not in hand. Will come w/ NO OS, unless you want me to order the discs from the Manufacturer (not sure if they are available). We have run them through a burn-in test and put an OS on them to be sure they are working.

Make offers, you can buy one or all, you pay shipping too (shipping from FL).

112  Economy / Goods / Re: WTS: XFX 6870 - 2 of them w/ pix (price lowered) on: December 20, 2011, 03:57:33 PM
Got the card, nicely packed

If I have any problems with it I'll post again, otherwise this shit is legit  Grin

Awesome! Should be fine, and FYI, i don't think I registered it w/ XFX yet, so it is prob eligible for the warranty if you can get it on their system.

Last it was used was mining some BTC in an always on system, about the time i re-edited the price. Let me know how it goes!

Is the price still just $100?  If so, I think we've got a deal.

Are you selling the junk silver?

I do, but let me check what I got when I get home. I don't recall now. I have another post here selling some of my junk silver, but I have acquired some more since that post.
