Site down, da hell?

More worrying is that the site is hosted on microsoft azure. Oh dear.

it's only for frontend, we don't keep any private information in azure

And some strange thing all numbers after the decimal places are 0 which is not normal.

tell me one thing...when we order card,we can use it like debit?and can we buy things in shops? Cheesy   Roll Eyes  Huh

It's visa debit card, you can use everywhere (online shopping, in store, atm etc.)
109  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: February 12, 2015, 04:10:03 PM
I can confirm that the card is accepted by paypal. It took only seconds to confirm the card in my paypal account. Very nice now I can buy stuff with bitcoin wherever paypal is accepted.

Oh really? I hadnt even tried as I just assumed it wouldnt work  (didnt work with these mbank cards).
Gotta try this, this would be very handy indeed.

edit: indeed, it works Cheesy

just make sure that primary currency on your paypal account is set to USD to avoid currency conversion fees

Maybe I missed it somewhere.

If we order a card now the USD one can it be converted to a EUR/Multi later on?

If you order the USD one now, it will remain a USD card, can't change the physical piece of plastic later. You will be able to order the EUR one rather soon and the multi-currency one a bit later. The benefit of getting the USD card now is that it costs $10 while in beta, whereas when the other cards are released and we move out of beta, the price of the card will be $17

Thx ordering one now. Damn BTC blockchain is slow it took more than an hour to get the funds there.

just ordered a card for you, should be delivered withing 5 working days (might be less, it's quite fast in Europe)

A minute is just fine by me.
But if you are going to launch your android app, you might want to give the customer a choice between "instant" and "normal" or something.
I could imagine queuing at an ATM and not wanting to wait a minute.
Well..  even then hardly,..

speaking of which, eta of the android app?

instant and normal mode is what we are currently implementing.

re android

it's really question about priorities: would you prefer to get EUR card first and then mobile app (given we've got responsive ui, so you can use it from mobile as well) or vice versa

Thanks for the quick fix, but not quite fixed it seems.
3776 is now pending.

Well, took a minute or so, assuming you didnt intervene

the thing here is every time you load your card we place an order on exchange to give our clients the best usd/btc rate, most of the time it completes instantly, sometimes a minute or so.
we can reduce this time, but price will not be the best

thoughts are welcome
114  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: February 03, 2015, 09:36:05 PM

It's instant in our case

Not so instant right now. I did another btc -> card withdraw, and its been pending for a while.
Okay, to be fair, only a few minutes now, but hardly instant like the previous times. Thought Id try a withdraw outside of banking hours.

If it helps its transaction #3775

edit: Im guessing a problem with mychoice. I tried logging in there, but couldnt. I might have forgotten the password, so I tried resetting it, but Im not getting any email (fro mychoice). Tried logging in via card number, but its asking last 4 digits of my SSN, which I never gave (and we dont even have).

And 30 minutes later I got a confirmation mail from mychoice that the card is loaded (also reflected on e-coin website).

I suspect pmatveev being online had something to do with that Wink.

always online, shall we do it again just to check if it's instant?

it's appeared my choice was upgrading it's API, it should be fine now. you can try again just to make sure that it's instant even in non-working hours

I vaguely remember something about identity verification where we need to upload a picture of our ID on the site? But I can't find anything about now for some reason, how do we remove the 2.5k/year limit again?

Please send ID and proof of address to support@e-coin.io, we will add an option to upload documents in a few days

Been 12 days now and I still haven't received my card within Europe. I guess it could be my lousy postal service ;/

that is strange - Europe is normally quite fast.
Which country in Europe?

Seems interessting , do you guys ship only to Europe ??
Almost everywhere apart from US, India and countries on sanction list. We posted exact list of countries in this topic

Where is that man , you didn't say anything on the OP . at least I don't see any list

I don't feel comfortable posting my location on a public forum if you'll excuse me, it's south eastern Europe.

Hopefully it will be delivered to you shortly
