108  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] IceDrill.ASIC IPO (500 Thash Mining Operation powered by HashFast) on: October 18, 2013, 03:08:24 PM
Hi All
As it looks now this is our plan:
Everyone will be able to trade until the 1st of November, at this time anyone who has not been verified or are US citizens will not be able to trade the shares on BitFunder. We will be able keep paying dividends on BitFunder up until the 1st of December. At that point we will receive a list of all non-verified users/ US citizen accounts (the address and amount of shares). We will take this list and convert it (destroy at BitFunder and maintain a list internally) into offline shares. We’ll call them “direct shares” and pay dividends to the bitcoin address we’ll be given by BitFunder.

To this end, please ensure you are in direct control of the bitcoin address we’ll be receiving from BitFunder on 2 December. If you cannot sign a message with the address then you are not in direct control of it. For example, a deposit address at an exchange is NOT under your direct control. This is to ensure future tradability of the shares. If you cannot prove you own an address then it will remain untradable indefinitely.

Just to be clear: the solution to making these shares tradable is not technical, it’s legal. We’ll be exploring several different options hard to allow these direct shares to float once again.

With FW 0.96 my numbers have gone from 520,525 and 540 to 450,500 and 520 Ghash. This is quite the decrease in performance.
I have been running them for about an hour so it might still be variance, anyone else getting similar results?
//DeaDTerra

are those numbers at the pool or reported back form cgminer ?

thanks
anyway  FeedbackLoop could be right:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=170332.msg3356843#msg3356843

e.g. slush found 3 block in less than one hour
I got a hold of Marcus and told him about my numbers, I told him to not start investigating it yet and that I would get back to him in 24 hours with my new numbers as it is possible that it is due to the flushwork as you guys said.
//DeaDTerra

perfect! really appriciated, maybe the'll finally fix it.

I am sure they will if it proves to be something wrong, but there shouldn't be any performance issue according to Marcus.

Sorry for not follow the latest news.

As a non American citizen, what if I just want to keep my shares and receive div?

You have to Verify your account at WeExchange.
We are working on a third solution,
If you don't want hardware and you don't want to verify/you are a Us citizen.
Please be patient, we will post more soon.

If you have sent me shares to trade into hardware,
Or you want to trade your shares into hardware.
Please send me a email or pm
With the following info:
1. User name of Bitfunder
2. Amount of sierras you want to trade for shares
3. Hosting yes or no
4. If no, send us your shipping address
5. if hosted, send us your bitcoin payout address, and any pool preferences you may have, if not we'll deploy your hashrate into the same pool we'll be using for the rest of the icedrill
6. An email we can contact you on

After you have submitted this information you can then send the shares.

Please note this proposal will necessarily have an execution deadline of midnight 15 October (UTC) in order to ensure ample notice for delivery re-routing, as required.

It seems time is running out,

Can we have an update of our current options or if there were any modifications/changes to existing options?
We are finalizing the conversion to Hardware option and we are also working on finalizing a second option.
A update will be out soon.

For some reason I can't get this to work.
Can someone kind explain the steps I need to take from that I download the file to that I import the block into the wallet?
So far it doesn't seem to recognize the file until I shut the wallet off and then I get an error message.
//DeaDTerra

Well, I've made a symlink at .bitcoin directory to bootstrap.dat, but you can just paste the file into your bitcoin config files directory.

If linux: ~/.bitcoin

Edit: Check here: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Data_directory
Where do I want to paste it,
The database directory?

Wow, glad att jag såg detta inlägg nu. Ska nog ta och göra ett direktköp med Handelsbanken då. The price is right.
