101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 10 Best Cryptocurrency Exchanges for Crypto Trading in 2019 on: March 26, 2019, 05:58:47 PM
Everyone likes Binance, I haven't traded with coinbase pro even though they have launched it.

I just don't want to try it out. Bitmex too, I haven't tried it out but I'm hearing a lot of noise with that exchange.

Bitmex gives you a posibility of margin trading with high liquidity. I've no issues with it while use about 6 month.
But it is specific trading. So if margin trading is not for you than you do not need to trade on BitMex
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 10 Best Cryptocurrency Exchanges for Crypto Trading in 2019 on: March 25, 2019, 07:52:28 PM
As Cryptocurrencies are becoming popular, there are a plethora of cryptocurrency exchanges, which are the main reason how the users are able to exchange or trade. The cryptocurrencies are volatile as that is an unavoidable characteristic of digital currency. Let us first understand what exactly is a cryptocurrency exchange, what does it do and then we can have a look at the top cryptocurrency exchange list for crypto trading 2019.

What Is A Cryptocurrency Exchange?

A cryptocurrency exchange allows the investors to buy, sell or trade cryptocurrencies(either from fiat to crypto or from crypto to crypto). The cryptocurrency exchanges mostly support the top 20 cryptocurrencies by coinmarketcap. People look out for the security of their crypto holdings, hence they would prefer exchanges that offer great functionality, is user-friendly and secured.

Now, let us have a look at the best cryptocurrency exchanges in 2019:

Coinbase Pro was one of the early cryptocurrency exchange platform, founded in 2012, based in San Francisco, with a valuation of around $1 billion. Coinbase Pro helps enable withdraw and deposit funds easily.

#2 Binance:

Binance is the world’s biggest cryptocurrency exchange which works like an ecosystem, comprising of an exchange, wallet, Labs, Charity info, etc as stated by the CEO- Changpeng Zhao. #3 BitMex:
#4 OKEx

103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't quit investing on: March 25, 2019, 06:56:45 PM
Stop invest isn't good like this for any market. People worried to get scammed, so now initial exchange offer (IEO) another big step to investor.

IEO is very good for new projects but it also require many resources from project's team.
Not each team can allow self to do that
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Main] Bitcore- BTX - Partnership with JAXX and ZelCore! on: March 25, 2019, 06:54:34 PM

I'm no BTX fanatic but I'm still here.  I just really appreciated the use of a good graphic designer and the bold colour scheme of the coin so I hodled.

It's great method to choose cryptocurrency for investment!
I never looked on BTX at this side  Cheesy
I hodl my BTX because I bought them at 18$ and I'm not able to fix the losses
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins: to Mine or to Buy? That is the Question on: March 25, 2019, 05:32:08 PM
I will choose to buy, because last year i bought mining equipment and is not worth to mine, because i lose money  because electricity price is too high, and not worth mining anymore. Maybe worth mining only if you can buy solar panel and produce own electricity, but also on this case will take a lot of time to recover investments if the price not grow.

Solar planes is too expensive. The investment to that eneregy source will increase payback time dramatically. And It is too few sunny days in my place. But I've enough cheap electricity about 0.05-0.06$ per kWh.
And now I really have to mine coins. Exactly have to. Because I already have mining hardware and can't sell it. Recently I tried to sell some GPUs and it's really hard to do that. The market of used GPUs is supersaturated.
So I have only two ways: to sell my GPUs very cheap or to continue mining and wait price growth
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins: to Mine or to Buy? That is the Question on: March 24, 2019, 08:29:54 PM
Mining is expensive to handle and I have always had that in mind
Unless you have a huge capital; mining is really not for you

How about trying to invest in altcoins ??
Short term or long term trading will be smart

Dyor.

Mining is not only expensive but also requires special knowlidge in IT sphere.
It can be good hobby. Making cases, constructing cooling system etc. But it's not the profitest way of making money.
Home mining goes to the past. Now mining becomes an industry
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would you do to recover your losses? on: March 24, 2019, 06:24:51 PM
You have a long list of altcoin portfolio that have tanked down by 90% since you participated in the ICO.  What was $5000 is now worth $500.  You are at a loss of $4000 and there happen to be an upcoming token sale that is pretty hyped.

You are in desperate need to recover your losses and you plan to invest in that hyped token sale in hope that you can earn 5-10x.  Would you:

1. Pump fresh fiat out of your pocket into the token sale or
2. Trade off the the altcoins you have for BTC/ETH and invest into that hyped token sale.

Share your thoughts.

I have several altcoins that droped even more than by 90%. But I still hold them because now selling is meaningless.
As you said right that was 5k was transformed to less than 500usd
Though several other coins have given me some profit in the same time
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All about bounty payments and its effect to the project on: March 24, 2019, 06:18:56 PM
I do not agree if you blame the bounty hunter for causing a decrease in ICO coin prices. because not always selling cheap prices is a bounty hunter because we all know only a few percents of the allocation of coins for bounty hunters and if indeed the ICO project is good should even though all hunter allocations are sold cheap does not take long the developer can return a good price. moreover, we all know before the bounty hunters sell their coins cheaply the price on the exchange has gone down much earlier than the ICO price. I even suspected insiders that caused the fall in the price of ICO coins.

Absolutely right. Bounty hunters never affect on coin price.
Bad idea, bad planning, bad marketing, bad project finally are the reasons of coin price fall
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VOT]: VoteCoin - a new era of anonymous crypto democracy on: March 24, 2019, 06:13:09 PM

What are you talking about?
If new service/poll based on VOT project is created why there is no info in VOT official social media?
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins: to Mine or to Buy? That is the Question on: March 24, 2019, 06:09:05 PM
Money is best kept in several boxes. Sometimes the profit is more from mining, and sometimes vice versa is less. Do not stop at one way!

But could you tell just two examples of coins that were more profitable to mine than to buy?
And boxes should not be too much because in that case they will be small boxes
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins: to Mine or to Buy? That is the Question on: March 24, 2019, 01:37:39 PM
Mining up to last year was profitable. But, after the last price fall, nobody can make profit with mining.
But trade depends on skill. If you have the skills, the situation does not make any difference.

I would no be so sure. For me mining is still profitable, I already paid back my hardware cost and got some profit. And my electricity is not free.
But if I bought coins instead of buying GPUs I could made much more profit
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins: to Mine or to Buy? That is the Question on: March 23, 2019, 11:30:01 PM

Some of people still do this and even use it like the resource of heating for their houses, but there are not so many people.

Exactly there are very few people who want and generally can do that. They are pure cryptoentusiasts. To make heating system with miners is really hard task. And unfortunatelly it is not economically justified because it is individual system not serial.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Main] Bitcore- BTX - Partnership with JAXX and ZelCore! on: March 23, 2019, 07:24:18 PM
As many others Roll Eyes
The only difference with big projects and some other projects is that old Bitcore's supporters were not true supporters and the mass of supporters of Bitcore is shorter than in the other projects.
It is why we do not have a good rebound as the well-supported projects. Wink

Don't know many coins that fell more than 200 times from ATH.  Undecided
Yes, blame holders that are not loyal enough.)) If I see no progress for a long time - I sell, don't want to be fanatic and believe in better days, seeing how my investments/mined coins are going to zero. There is no liquidity and interest to buy, even no trusted and reliable middle range exchange to buy/sell, only shady, fake and small ones - the main reason that price dropped so much down, IMO. Better recognize your mistakes and try to work it out instead of looking for guilty around, maybe then you will return old supporters and find new.

I think all that already sold their BTX don't even read this thread. Only fanatic BTX holders are here.
In fact I said goodbuy to my investment in BTX but I don't sell my BTX now because it's meaningless at the moment
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins: to Mine or to Buy? That is the Question on: March 23, 2019, 07:18:33 PM
With the current price, mining is not going to be profitable so buying them with the money which has to be invested on the mining equipments is really a wise decision and you will make good profits once the price go bullish.

I talk that not only at current prices buying coins is better choise. Even during pump of 2017 year buying cryptocurrency had given more profit than buying GPUs/ASICs
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins: to Mine or to Buy? That is the Question on: March 23, 2019, 02:18:06 PM
Sometimes you can mine a coin that just started, and network difficulty is low, and it is not yet on exchange, I was lucky a few times, but the last time it was a year ago or even more. Most often I mined trash.

I can remember only few pojects that was profitable to mine than buying. And it was only at the very beginning of that projects. They was Zcash(ZEC) in the 1st month after start while the reward increased and Bitcore (BTX) two weeks after listing on Cryptopia
The most popular altcoin - Ethereum was should be bought and hold and nothing else
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Altcoins: to Mine or to Buy? That is the Question on: March 23, 2019, 01:37:07 PM
PREVIOUSLY....

Analized my experience in cryptocurrency since 2014 year I made a conclusion that PoW mining is less profitable than just buying coins ever. With several exclusions that just confirmed the rule.
So what is your experience?
Cons and pros of both methods to make money in cryptoworld?

Now I prefer holding coins, PoS mining and other methods without noisy and hot hardware

117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Government does not like crypto? on: March 22, 2019, 05:12:03 PM
Because crypto holders do not pay taxes and this harms the governments budget. I think that in the nearest future, government would accept crypto currencies but they would regulate them and get their taxes for sure.

But in fact cryptocurrency buyers already paid all taxes when received money for their job in fiat. It could appear air or rain taxes. Just remember Cipollino Adventures
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you think would be the best in the long run? on: March 18, 2019, 06:05:53 PM
Which coin do you think would be the best in the long run?

Please recommend the coins.
I don't want to buy for short investment.
There are so many blockchain projects in the world.
What project looks most promising?  Smiley Smiley

Today there is no cryptocurrency better than Bitcoin for longterm (several years) investment. It has the most of application in compare with other cryptocurrency.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: please recommend some Altcoins on: March 18, 2019, 05:22:45 PM
There are so many recomendation of top10 altcoins or new projects from top 100.
But why not to pay your attention to older altcoins like Feathercoin or Primecoin. They are traded on major exchanges like Bittrex and Poloniex and have enough daily trading volume.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Main] Bitcore- BTX - Partnership with JAXX and ZelCore! on: March 18, 2019, 04:54:41 PM

And what relation has all that to Bitcore project?
Now the situation with BTX is follows: no enough trading volume, no liquidity. And this is the result of unknown future of BTX

It has everything to do with BTX.

If you hodl too many BTX and one day find yourself hodling $1million worth of coins, there is no way you will be able to cash out them.

And it is the problem of lack of enough big exchange for Bitcore. Bitcore can have many techincal innovations but without corresponding market it will never be popular.
Of course I hope as BTX holder that will not occur. But in my mind I already take leave of my BTX investment
