Is it wrong of me to watch clock countdown on investor knowing I could deposit small amount and save them or is this part of the game?

It has happened to me though woke up one morning to see one of my deposits expired

But all in all Great game just wish I threw more at it at the beginning but was a bit weary after that weekly ponzi

Does anyone know any other games like this?

The coins are yours to do what you please with.

The ideal world, everyone would save an expiring transaction, this is not an ideal world though.

Thanks for playing!

I wish there was some more activity on the altcoins DOGE / LTC / RDD although I am really happy about current BTC activity, lot's of payouts now.

I believe BTC will always be much more active, I did expect Darkcoin to at least get a few deposits though.

The alts will always be there for any who wishes to play on those games so there is no worries.

Thanks for playing!

I'm a new Monk and started an interesting [id://1118487|thread] that lead to another less interesting [id://1119002|question] where I was directed to reading this node: http://perlmonks.org/?node_id=754085

...and my worlds collided.

Oh wow. I'll just say skål.  Smiley

I don't remember reading that before? Has that been made clear before now? If I overlooked this then my bad.. but if not, this could really upset someone. Luckily I only had a few peanuts on the line here just in case something like this were to come up.

Well it's clear as in with how a user can lose and that's if their transaction reaches 00:00:00
which is explained in the OP as well as in the FAQ and as your timer reached 00:00:00 albeit
the same time as the deposit in front of it, it still reached the 00:00:00 so expired.

Maybe I should make it more clear, although most would assume since their transaction reached
00:00:00 it would be classed as out of the game.

No fundamental rules of the game will be changed while the game is still active either as it would
be completely unfair to others who have lost, although I will think on the opinions of how the
transactions are added and how they expire and possibly set a delay so inputs cannot start on the
same countdown. Although like I said, this will not be adjusted while the game is active.

Thanks for playing!

Hey I know your sick of this but I really think I should have been paid and I wasn't.
my deposit was for .01556172
The deposit before mine was .06 and unpaid but expired at the same time as mine however there was a balance of
.02790540 in the bank. Shouldn't that have been enough to pay me when the one before mine didn't pay? I thought that balance would rollover and pay me off and the remainder would go the next payment in line? Please help me to understand where I got confused here. Huh

No worries and all questions and queries are welcome.

There would of been enough had your deposit not been confirmed at the same time.

Sadly though it was confirmed on the same block as the other, larger deposit.

Therefore if that 1st in line deposit was not going to be covered, your deposit and
any following that confirmed on the same block would expire.

Over 500 deposits, I remember when there was only 6 or something, awesome! I've only lost a bit in DOGE as well, won in everything else.
i remember that too, and nine9 its doing the things right!

Thanks for the positive feedback and thanks to all the players on helping the game be the success it is.

Currently 520 BTC deposits and almost 100 BTC in total deposited.

There was a problem, I should have been paid. My transaction confirmed at 18:10:21 and my game should have expired at 18:44:39.

There wasn't enough funds to pay out that transaction.

There still isn't as of this post.

Balance: 0.01307769 out of the needed 0.0132

Your 0.0125 + 5% fee of input amount ( 0.0005 ) + 0.0002 miner fee.

37 minutes to get a block to confirm the incoming transaction before I expire!

It's agonising, right?

Perhaps there should be a grace period(next block or expire) to any unconfirmed deposit that's older than 15min.

The game works how I want it to work currently, the whole concept of waiting for a block makes the game more dynamic
and more intense, especially if you try and cut it close.

It also helps users who may not be able to pay out their own transactions sometimes be paid out by those who don't want
to cut it that close or expires the transactions of those who leave it too late.

Yeah, I loved it and then I needed it an it didn't work and things were sad.  After a few days I stopped waiting for it to get fixed and I started working on it.  Developed this fix in about 3min, then I was like I waited days because of that.  I've emailed and posted, but maxmin is not responsive.

This one is cool too.

Woah I missed the bitlisten one but I have been listening to it now, it's really cool!  Cool Awesome!

I also like neat little websites like this.

Nice find.

~Also search will display all of the transactions of the given address, even those beyond the 250 limited default list.

The search by address function should work correctly and display the transactions in order.

Also the Reset function resets the searched parameters.

Ninja I am enjoying your game ! Thanks for being legit, I can see the site being around for a long time..
Just a thought, I keep having to find my transactions, wouldn't be cool if there was a search field I could put my address in and the site would locate my transaction for me?

I actually created a search function pre launch but decided to not include it.

I will add it back in shortly.

Thanks for playing!

Progress to next payout: -0.00050000 / 0.00410000

I don't get it?  Looking at the JSON, I don't see what values are even used to calculate this.

I was tinkering with miner fees (disabled for 10 mins while testing things) and a transaction went through.

It ended up paying out 1 extra transaction as it shouldn't of had enough to pay with the miner fees.

No worries though the game remains the same.

Also the balance being ~0.001 in front of the recorded balance is deliberate (~0.001 was included from my own funds).
It's a fail-safe measure for paying out larger transactions that usually accommodate fees up to 0.0003-0.0004.

I tried it out and I got paid.
I hate to put in a promo for the competition, but hey, the site works, and it pays out!
I want to see more FAIR ponzi's like this one.
Good job Ninja

Thank you for the positive feedback, especially as another provider.

Much appreciated and as you have tested out my site, I will test out yours.

This will be sent via the main address so if it gets paid out it should keep paying back and forth.

Shouldn't it instead say time_wait or something?  Borrowed that from TCP.

http://superuser.com/questions/173535/what-are-close-wait-and-time-wait-states

Well I could set it to say that, but would still have the same effect, the script will still need it's pause time.

I personally don't see it as a problem, granted it does look odd when it occurs but for the sake of 20 seconds, it's fine.

I added the test funds manually as to be fair to the expiring transaction.

Thanks for playing!

In fact, to avoid any further confusion around this I will add the test funds
to the main pool as a sort of gift to the users for continued play.
118  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Nine9.ninja - [PonziGame] ★ 77+ BTC Input + Altcoins - Automated - 125% Return on: March 04, 2015, 12:18:24 AM
Things aren't correct.

Instead if expiring the status started counting up.

There should be at least 0.02721 + 0.01036734 BTC progress, but site lists only 0.00177810 BTC.

The balance on 1Nine9waAcCQtDsAqM9XwqLnLSsgg1ij2o is 0.1303339 - 0.0223839(over 0.107) confirmed, but it is not paying out a 0.10490200.

There is a 20 second parse time, so the expiring transaction can last up to 20 seconds more, but no more.

As for the balance, this is because of my test funds I was sending funds to another address within the wallet for a test of address grabbing, it has
used the funds from that address instead of the main address.

I was doing some learning and discovered that a softfork can cause a single or even double confirmation to be orphaned from the main chain.

If relying on single confirmations one will need to ensure that they always track software updates.

Yeah this is true, I am following the coins feeds for any updates or not.

No, just misunderstood

Ah, okay no worries!
