101  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: April 13, 2016, 10:05:39 PM
For the record, Micon WAS involved with SWC poker (he "isn't now").  It IS run by some of the same people who ran Seals With Clubs (it says so right on the website).

OK, I'll bite. Who "is now" running SWC that was previously involved with Seals With Clubs, with the exception of glitch?
102  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: April 13, 2016, 10:02:57 PM
Micon is not (and has never been) involved with SWC Poker

marlais- I Love You.  But .... never ??

Hello, I run SwC Poker and can answer any questions you may have about my site or bitcoin gambling in general.

No, you're right, I had my story messed up. The old site was shut down in February but he wasn't charged with anything, and Micon announced that he had started SWC Poker and was moving to Antigua. Then in June, he negotiated a plea deal and moved back to the U.S. after being formally charged. In any case, it would be sheer stupidity to run afoul of the law again after copping a plea, so I can't imagine that he's involved with SWC Poker since he made the deal.
103  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: April 13, 2016, 09:46:18 PM
For sure, it seems to me like at the very least they should have opened up some sort of logins on the website so that you could recover your old account and maybe chit-chat in the trollbox.  As it stands, I haven't even been able to log-in since Dec 2014.  In March 2015 when Micon said android or some sort of cross-platform ability was coming, I believed.  I don't really believe anymore.

For the record, SWC Poker is not the same as the old Seals With Clubs. Micon is not (and has never been) involved with SWC Poker, and it's not run by the same people who ran Seals With Clubs. The original Seals With Clubs was shut down a long time ago, and there is no plan to resurrect it. However, SWC Poker has a listing of old Seals accounts, and if you e-mail support@swcpoker.eu, they will transfer your old account name and krill over to the new site if there was an e-mail address associated with your Seals With Clubs account.

If you are not a spokes person you are doing a good job to promote and a even better job of making it seem like no one is involved from the ole days in the new site. If this is the case, there really is little reason for many of us to go and play since the vibe is no longer. But something tells me that the same people are around the scene in some form and this is just some smoke and mirrors.

Hey, don't shoot the messenger. I am not a spokesperson for SWC or Seals With Clubs. I was just trying to point you in the right direction, because if you're waiting for Micon to write an Android app or to resurrect old Seals With Clubs, you're going to be waiting for a very long time indeed. I may be wrong, but I seem to recall that the conditions of Micon's probation(?) prevent him from being involved with internet poker in general.

A lot of the old players from Seals With Clubs are around on SWC Poker, and the vibe is similar, but it's not the same. You can actually get chat banned now for something other than flooding, donkdown is permanently cancelled, and no more account sales. If you used to play a lot on old Seals, you will probably see some familiar names in the trollbox and on the tables. If you had krill on your old account, you can play the krillrolls on the new site. glitch is still the tournament director, but as far as I am aware, that is the only similarity between the management/developers/support of the two sites. If you have some actual information (and not just pure speculation) that says different, I'd be interested in hearing it.

105  Economy / Gambling / Re: Official Americas Cardroom Thread on: April 06, 2016, 07:56:49 PM
There are two kind of players on the site:

A) Elite Benefits players( players that are in the VIP program)
B) Rakeback players, who instead on using the VIP program prefer the Rakeback program.

Both of them can apply and release bonuses which are not an actual part of their program.

In general, micro-stakes players will be best suited to the flat rakeback program.  Micro-stakes players typically are unable to produce much rake in a given month and as such, will see better results from a flat discount program such as rakeback provides.  Recreational players will likely also be better off on flat 27% rakeback for much of the same reason, lack of rake (consistent) rake generation.  That is not to say that all micro stakes players and all recreational players will be best, because mass tabling, super high volume micro grinders can do better on Elite Benefits, specially if they are willing to play tournaments (more on that later).  Higher stakes recreational players who play stakes large enough to maximize rake generation (think 200NL plus) stand a decent chance of generating enough rake however.

The Rakeback percentage is a flat 27% based on the net rake: Net rake= Rake + tournament fees – bonuses
For example;Player A receives 27% Rakeback and rakes a total of $100, releases $12 in bonus. The calculation would be: ($100- $12)* 0.27 = $23.76
Player A will receive a payment of: $23.76

I am still unsure how this is a bonus. A bonus generally implies that you are receiving something extra on top of what you would have received otherwise. What you are describing here is an advance on future rakeback.

In regards the payout maam, we already reviewed on this situation, we sent your several emails. If we had not known how BitCoin works we had not used. None of our customers have had any problem with our processor but you. Our BitCoin processor is one of the fastest, secure and precise. You can check any of the emails we sent you with the blockchain screenshot that clearly shows the amount you sent and the bitcoin conversion

I know that this is not the truth, because I have spoken personally with another player who also had issues cashing in bitcoin on ACR and did not have the amount credited properly. Just because they are not posting in this thread does not mean they do not exist. This is just more of "the customer is always wrong" rhetoric that I have consistently experienced when dealing with ACR support.
106  Economy / Gambling / Re: Official Americas Cardroom Thread on: April 06, 2016, 07:48:59 AM
I am a bit confused about ACR's bonus system. I just had this chat with an ACR rep, and I was wondering if you might be able to clarify.

Quote
Your Question: Hi, it looks like when I get cash released from a bonus, my rakeback balance goes negative, and then the negative balance is carried over. Does ACR take 100% of the released bonus out of your rakeback balance?

Anthony F: Thank you, the answer to your question is: yes. Any bonus that you redeem will be deducted from your available rakeback.

marlais: so, is there any point in signing up for a bonus if you get rakeback?

Anthony F: Thats a question that you have to answer yourself, it depends on each person

marlais: How so?

Anthony F: depends on the game of each player sir.

Anthony F: May I help you with something else?

Is there any case where a player would realize a long-term benefit from an ACR bonus if they receive rakeback? It hardly seems worth it if it means you don't receive rakeback in an amount equal to the bonus itself. Except for players with terrible bankroll management and those receiving zero rakeback, I can't see how grinding out a bonus on ACR is worth anything, but maybe I am missing something?

Also, I have received some private messages regarding the fiasco where ACR only credited a portion of my bitcoin deposit. There is no update; ACR has stonewalled every attempt for me to have someone look at the actual transaction and I am still out the difference between the bitcoin that was transacted and the amount they credited. The problem appears to be that ACR does not really understand how bitcoin works, and relies on their payment processor to tell them whether or not a deposit has been credited, but there is zero recourse and no way to explain the problem to the bitcoin processor if they screw up. If anyone is considering depositing bitcoin on ACR, I would recommend sending it in small chunks and verifying that each chunk is credited to your account correctly before sending the next chunk to mitigate your risk of losing your whole depo if they screw up.
107  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: April 04, 2016, 05:36:07 AM
Does anyone know if they have released a new Android app or if they are planning to in the near future?  I really loved playing on my phone back before Seals with Clubs was taken over by SwC.  I haven't played poker for bitcoin since the ownership transfer, and the discontinuation of the Android app.

They have not yet released an Android app. It is supposedly in the works, but there is no firm ETA. If you had an e-mail connected to your account on the old site, you can recover it if you e-mail support@swcpoker.eu and get your krill and account name transferred to the new site.

hello ) i am novice here, and have bad English )

ts, today about couple of hours ago we discussed with my friend modern poker clients. my friend told me that everybody who own their poker rooms, making their poker client by themself. i opposite, shure that it is possible to buy already existing soft ) can some body explain me pls who are right? ) ty, hope i explain all correct )

I think SWC was built on old Grid Poker software, and Seals 1.0 was built on Poker Mavens software. Given the number of sites that are skins, I would guess that the majority of poker sites are built on existing software.

Think we should start a hunger strike so they know we mean business!

Are they scared of increase in traffic bringing down fed attention again or they just lazy?

The site gets pretty laggy when everyone shows up for the 5k povertyroll on Sundays. I'm guessing they would need to upgrade their infrastructure to handle a significant influx of new players.

Please edit your original post, when you copied/pasted the body of the email you included the phishing link.

Much like Betcoin did.

On their front page.

As I stated, I did edit the link. To clarify, I truncated the token portion of the link in the quoted e-mail and in the redirect URL earlier in the post. Neither should work.

Secondly, when you have a system in place to verify e-mail authenticity, it is insanity to include a URL to the verification location in the same e-mail. This is just asking for someone to spoof your e-mails and training your users to blindly click on unverified e-mail links.

I also just noticed that the last three e-mails that you have sent me have identical e-mail security code hashes. Why make it so easy for someone to circumvent your security system?

This was the phishing e-mail that I received. The link redirects you to the following URL, which I have broken so that people can't click on it.

I'm pretty frustrated by Betcoin right now. I deposited yesterday, and then when I was transferring my deposit from my main balance to my poker balance, the site ate my chips. I was told that it would take 10-15 min to straighten out by Betcoin Maria, and then an hour later I was told it would take an additional 1 hour for a supervisor to get online and fix it by Betcoin Aiden, and 24 hours later I just had this idiotic exchange with Betcoin Maria, in which she states that she has no information and no ability to help me. Betcoin customer service is a joke.

I agree that there is a lot of trolling going on in this thread
Remember when we were complaining about Betcoin overraking players for 600,000 hands? [...] Because we aren't trolling.  We're bringing up serious problems in an effort to get them corrected.  Unfortunately, when we bring up problems they are ignored by the individuals who will lose money by correcting those problems.  That's why we have to stay vigilant.  To try to convince these people to do the right thing.

Maybe "trolling" is a strong word, but the part where people are bringing up issues unrelated to the current problem being addressed is not helpful (e.g. overraking, which players have now been compensated for). Let's try to stay focused on the problem at hand, which is why rakeback numbers aren't adding up for some players.

I agree that there is a lot of trolling going on in this thread, but I also think ungod has a valid question. He's posted his calculations showing that a couple percent of his rb appears to be getting skimmed somewhere, and if I were xiao, I'd be happy to show him the numbers that Betcoin provided to prove that I wasn't the one skimming the money.

It could very well be that Betcoin isn't giving accurate data to xiao, and that xiao's correctly and honestly distributing rb based on the information he's provided. In any case, it seems like it would be extremely simple for xiao to show that he's doing the right thing, and it might expose a problem with Betcoin's calcuations that haven't come to light previously. I don't see why this has to be an antagonistic exchange. It seems like it's in everyone's best interests to get this straightened out.

My reply to ACR's latest non-response was as follows:

Please respond to my concerns that I have detailed in my previous e-mails and stop closing my support tickets. I am not interested in your promotions. I want you to credit back the Bitcoin that you have stolen from me.

I will ensure that this issue is detailed in full with the information and screenshots I have provided you on bitcointalk, twoplustwo, and any other website where ACR deposits are being discussed to let your customer base know of your unethical practices.

To my latest request, I received this boilerplate response, and unhelpfully, they have once again dodged my concerns entirely and again closed my support ticket.

ACR: I don't care about your promotions, I just want the Bitcoin that you have stolen from me either refunded or credited to my account.

These guys are crooks. Do not do business with them.

Our support manager is looking into it!

As an update, ACR contacted me and now say that the 1MiL address is not one that they provided, which makes no sense, because if they hadn't provided the address to me, the BTC that I sent to that address in those two transactions certainly would have never been credited to my account, either partially or fully. I have included their reply and my response below.

I would not recommend that other ACR users attempt to deposit Bitcoin, as it appears that their customer service is confused about how Bitcoin works. In the meantime, my coin is now sitting in their wallet unspent, and ACR is refusing to send back the difference between what they credited me and what I sent or credit it to my account, or even admit that I sent it to them.

Quote
Hi,

I could have only gotten the 1MiL address from your BTC cash-in form. Otherwise, it would have been impossible that either transaction would have been credited to my account, either in part or in full. As the 1MiL address is clearly one that is controlled by you or your BTC processor, and the BTC from the 2/21 transaction is still shown as unspent, could you please either refund the remaining coin to the wallet address I sent it from or credit it to my ACR account?

Thank you,
