101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: March 03, 2016, 01:26:51 AM
When is the Ethereum hard fork scheduled?

Mid of March, I think 14th if I remember correctly.

Pi day is the greatest day.

Thanks for the bitcoins. This is done.

No, thank you. Smiley

Lol. The age of entitlement. People feel this coin deserves to pump because the coin it was cloned from is going parabolic.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Augur - a decentralized prediction market platform on: January 21, 2016, 12:08:19 AM

106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: January 21, 2016, 12:03:18 AM
Today, checking my old records in 2015 on this forum and found this message on its 9 November 2015 where I stated the following:

"For example, if we compare Ethereum and Factoid, then we may well see price $9-$10 per 1 FCT in 2016.
Of course, provided that the project will be developed further and will be given due attention to the advertising promotion of the network and attract new investment. At this time, factoid really underestimated, I think that in the near future, we should see capitalization $11 million and cost about $1- $1.3 per 1 FCT"
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=850070.msg12931833#msg12931833

So I was right when he wrote it. Let's see if my prediction comes true 9-10 dollars per coin before the end of this year.
I am sure that it will come true. Smiley

True. But you also wrote it a month after this article said the same thing, here:

As a long time fan of I/O Coin, I am proud to see how far we have come as a community! I have went ahead and renewed iocoin.org which is pointed at https://www.iocoin.io/ for another year. ;] Keep rockin iocoiners!
108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Name the Year You Became Aware of Crypto Currency on: January 09, 2016, 12:37:38 AM
I heard about it around 2012 but had no idea what it was really, so it kind of just faded into memory. November 2014 I stumbled upon it randomly as hell, god knows how but I am sure glad I did. I bought my first Bitcoin in December 2014, and was lucky enough to grab a few more by April 2015. Now I find myself shelling out 50 bucks here and there for tenths of a Bitcoin even at this price Tongue
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN} LottoShares Launch - Physical Lottery based in the Caribbean. on: January 03, 2016, 12:30:22 PM
Any update on this, now that we are -3 days left?
110  Economy / Speculation / Re: prices differences in asian exchanges on: December 27, 2015, 04:52:48 PM
I believe the statement regarding the Chinese driving the market to be true. It appears the Chinese exchanges are consistently ahead and we are always behind because while when we have no movement ourselves, we take advantage of the arb opportunity, thus pushing our own markets upwards, but not beyond, consistently remaining slightly behind theirs.
111  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Got a question on: December 27, 2015, 04:49:38 PM
You can use prepaid cards with Paypal. That being said you can follow this wiki guide to buy BTC at a 6% premium following the steps, read on here:

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Buying_Bitcoins_(the_newbie_version)

Or of course, you can find a LBC buyer who accepts paypal. ^^
112  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: 150% Back in 2-3 Weeks on: December 27, 2015, 01:03:08 PM
Ok, you've got my attention. Basically, I give 0.1 to an escrow and you will return me 0.15 in 1 months time?
113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blocks 286,287,288 on: December 27, 2015, 12:52:06 PM
That's barely worth anything back then... Remember 2 pizzas were worth 10k BTC. if you buy 16 pizzas that's 80k BTC already.

I do believe this instance was an anomaly, not actually a set price for something such as Pizza Hut... Lol.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: December 26, 2015, 03:53:44 PM
Can anybody direct me to the easiest to use* windows ethereum wallet or is the link below the correct one?

https://github.com/ethereum/mist/releases/tag/v0.3.2-beta.2

It seems to be the easy windows wallet, if you dont feel quite comfortable you could use some web wallet while a nicer gui wallet is created

Thanks. I am interested in cloud mining Ethereum but seem too noob to get a functioning wallet or finding a web wallet from a trusted source. Any suggestions?

116  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: December 26, 2015, 02:51:56 PM
Speaking from my own experience, granted I am not as lucky as others I have seen on this forum. It is far better to save your BTC then to invest your $ or BTC into anything. The only time I have personally been successful is when I have locked up my bitcoins in cold storage(which are the only thing still growing in value Tongue ). Every time I try to grow my bits, it backfires and I get annihilated while the price of BTC continues to climb over a period of time.
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: December 26, 2015, 02:48:40 PM
Finally, the ICO pays off. Cool Looking good Factom!
118  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcointalk Account price estimator on: December 26, 2015, 02:03:55 PM
Surprised to see my account worth as much as it is yet alone anything lol.

Post Quality = Very Poor.

I am curious as to what the algorithm is for determining that. Definitely interesting. ^^

Can a member here please explain to me why I should buy this coin at 10,000 Sat when it was 2000 sat yesterday?

Because the lowest bid is 9000 Sad
