Gosh, I really don't want to be the rain on your parade day, but if you got your appraisal for insurance purposes, and your collection is insured, you would be a lot better off just having them stolen than trying to get $200 worth of btc for that collection.

Any decent comic buyer would look at your list and maybe offer you a crisp $20 bill for what you have and tell you that you should take the money and run. Unless they have all actually been graded as 8.5, are coming slabbed and graded intact from a reputable and recognized grading service in which case that $20 might go up to $40. 8.5 is not an impressive grade for recent era comics, none of them are key dates, and you don't even have a single full story arc in the collection.

Donate them to a children's hospital, take the $400 tax write off, and be dollars ahead.

And as to shipping? Bags and boards? Individual cardboard envelopes over that (I like FedEx envelopes) then double boxed, wrapped in waterproof protection, sealed with tamper-evident tape, all floated in an ocean of Styrofoam peanuts, insured for the full value, and shipped priority. Of course most of the comics that I ship are worth $500 a pop, so I tend to be a little overdone about it, but that's how my eBay rating has managed to get over 25,000 positives.

Agreed

112  Economy / Goods / WTS 1979-1980, 1999 Susan B. Anthony Year Set in Showpak on: January 22, 2012, 12:59:56 AM
This 3-coin year set of Susan B. Anthony dollars in Littleton's exclusive Showpak is a great way to showcase your growing Susan B. Anthony dollar collection! Designed by Chief Engraver Frank Gasparro, this first-year-issue coin honors 19th century women`s rights leader Susan Brownell Anthony.

Selling this would like around 6 bitcoins which would include shipping for these 3 coins.

Thanks

Looking for a setup that could run SWTOR/BF3/SKYRIM with ease on high settings. I also need the monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Not sure how we would work out payment and such, have to have some sort of middle man. Please reply with your specs, any pictures you have, and how much you're looking to get. Thank you.

115  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Giving loans out on: January 21, 2012, 08:29:46 PM
Alright what would be a good interest rate for a 5 day loan? Thanks
116  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Giving loans out on: January 21, 2012, 07:14:08 PM
Well it's high risk, and the market has moved more on occasion. While I can see the math behind it I still don't think this will fly...

-coinft.

What if I did based on the usd value of the bitcoins to avoid fluctuating prices?
117  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Giving loans out on: January 21, 2012, 07:11:29 PM
20% for a 5 day loan?
Is that high? I looked in the lending section and saw a lot of people doing 20%+ loans
118  Other / Beginners & Help / Giving loans out on: January 21, 2012, 07:04:01 PM
∆You must have credible reputation on the forum
∆Must be able to pay the loan back 5 days after loan (can ask for specific circumstances to extend)
∆Will pay back 20%+ loan
∆At this time will do loans up to 100 bit-coins

Thanks
119  Other / Beginners & Help / Stock investing? on: January 18, 2012, 09:59:59 PM
Hello, I know this is very novice question but could anyone give me some advice regarding stock investing. I have about $300 (I know not a lot, only 16 currently) I would like to attempt buying some stocks. I noticed that AA Alcoa inc has a very low peg ratio on Yahoo Finance, and would be a good stable investment? Thanks for any help. Also is $300 to little to begin investing and trying to gain profit off the market? Thank you,
