this coin is great has a big potential but i think you should add masternodes, or other feature like anonymous, to make it more appealing, with new feature we can see high value to 10k satoshi or more, and compete with other strong x11 coins, i'm holding many now, because the staking is very profitable
What sort of profit are you making on staking 10k rain? I currently have ~7k and am syncing the wallet to stake as well. I will consider purchasing more if it is that profitable. EDIT: Going to start staking anyways, but I'm not sure how to go about doing so.. I have my rain in my wallet but don't see anywhere to select how much to stake. I'm using the Mac wallet. i have 100k rain and i'm making 300-500 rain per day, which is very good because it's 100k satoshi per day just by staking, no other coin give that much, maybe only decred? New shit and scamcoin:RAIN I like this guys that hiding behind newbie accounts and typing shit from their mouths, crypto is more much funny with them  nobody getting scammed here, besides those whom miss out  Literally hard coded the entire premine into a locked address inside the latest release  |

Yeah if you are solo mining or adding a node. Open Notepad and put down : server=1
rpcuser=[username]
rpcpassword=[password]
rpcallowip=localhost
rpcport=9337
And save it as rain.conf in appdata folder. If you want to addnode than put it in confirm file like this: Thanks. I found the problem. Norton blockked the wallet. Doesn't make much sense, since it has been running and staking, then suddenly blocked. Some reason this wallet gets much more attention from security programs. I never experienced this issue with couple of other staking wallets. What was the reason norton flagged it? Was it IRC-related? Because if so, we're working on removing IRC as its unnecessary (and the host it pulls from isn't the greatest). If not - please post your logs here Thanks in advance! |

Updated links in OP. Bittrex next? I'm already running the old Mac wallet. What are the steps to change to the new version? For example, will I need to download the blockchain again? You could place the bootstrap.dat into your roaming directory, should speed things up a bit when syncing. Re-downloading the blockchain shouldn't take long, though Do I have to delete any files of the old wallet first? I would cut and paste everything into a new folder as a backup, leave your wallet.dat in that folder, then run the newest version of the wallet. Cheers! |

The virus/malware BS is because of the IRC we're connecting to. Apparently it isn't used for the most upstanding purposes...although 100 other coins pull from the same address. Ran it through hybridanalysis.com - images from TORcoin pulled up on the site  Next up - poker chip giveaway.. ..thinking x number of users puts x number of rain into a specific address to participate - then we bet on a specific number from x block for the winner? The chips look alright, I was looking into proofs and it seems plastic tokens is the cheapest way.
I for one am looking at double sided custom designed car wash tokens as an alternative to precious metals for physical coins.
