Morning everyone, I would like to see some thoughts about one of my ideas for WhiteCoin.
*Focus on Energy Efficiency and Organic Goods
I find that this could benefit everyone that become part of WhiteCoin community by simply
promoting/sponsoring these types of examples.
*Target Organic Food merchants willing to accept nothing but WhiteCoin as payment.
-Sponsor an event that promotes clean and healthy living at a family oriented type environment.
-Must be announced way ahead of time and widely known in order to give potential investors enough
time to accumulate.
-Target merchants that are not very well known and help expose them by sponsoring their upcoming
businesses.
-Each merchant must pass a test to prove that their products are 100% organic and have high quality
customer service.
-Must have a WhiteCoin ATM provided nearby with a staff member to help explain how it can be used
and what the coin is about for those who came unprepared or unaware of Cryptocurrencies.
-Provide merchants with gadgets that automatically distributes the coins between the merchant and
the foundation.

As some of you may know, green energy is not always seen on the positive side. It has its downfalls like any others. This is why we should help focus on improving them.
Good idea but there are already other green coins out there that focus on those things, look at mint when it first came out. Whitecoin ATM's? Look lets be realistic here, we don't even have the updated wallet on our website/thread. Limiting your already limited market is a bad idea and isn't gonna get us out of this mess. I vote against it. |

I am a bag holder of ~250k WC and would love to see things turn around.
I would use the pool but it is just ridiculous. A multipool with one worthless X11 coin, doesn't seem very multi let alone profitable. And the sCrypt selection is just as poor really. Do you guys mine with your own hardware and electric too or just other peoples? That could explain the abysmal choices to be honest.
As for the rest of the Whitecoin Foundation, just as well your "really at full steam now" or the price would still be going down ... Oh wait.
Any chance of more action and less procrastination on what a damn good job everyone is doing? Yes folk are working their ass off in the back ground we get that. Fix the pool, make it look like folk are working their ass off and the rest of us wont be left wondering if you are using our hashing power to mine profitable coins that are simply not listed on the pool, while you hand out a few worthless coins to the ever faithful.
Other than that I find myself agreeing with Ownski on much of the needed direction.
*Edit: and where is the standalone wallet? Some of us asked quite some time ago about a wallet that we do not have to install for windows, however the said request has simply been ignored, not even a nod.
I agree with you. Whitecoin needs a swift kick in the ass and so far I can't get anyone to do anything. I've been following WC since release and watched it spin into a degenerated mess. I talked to the "dev" team and it doesn't look good honestly. No one has access to any of the websites or social media and seems to lack urgency on basic things like updating the latest wallet on the first page of this thread. I hold 300k WC but at this point I do not expect to see any return. This is a sinking ship, if you recently bought in low cut your loses asap. Even if I rebranded the coin and tried to do another pr campaign I wouldn't be able to because literally no one has access to any of the websites/accounts. I thought it was bad but its far worse. At this point all we can do is hope someone tries to pump the stock and honestly, I doubt that is gonna happen. |

been lurking for a while, and bought a decent amount of WC  today this coin's daily volume on MintPal dropped a lot. that is a GOOD sign  we're running out of people who are willing to sell for cheap. How do you think this is a GOOD sign? A coin that loses its volume goes straight to the grave. Who cares what people are selling it for if no one is buying. Wake up. |

I agree that our top priority should be branding/facelifting whitecoin. Whitecoin needs a recognisable, strong face. To be honest, the original logo doesn't have much personality or appeal, and along the way I've seen some great designs from several users. Picking a new logo and implementing it shouldn't take longer than a few days tops.
And furthermore; which direction do we want to go? Do we want to be a jack of all trades (master of none) and go all directions at once, or do we want to place ourselves inside more specific trades? And what should those be?
I agree with getting a new logo. What do you mean by more specific trades? I mean to attach our name to more specific type of brands, lifestyle, sub-cultures, etc. Like Blackcoin aims to be the luxury/corporate high end type of coin. Honestly I think we should do the same exact thing as Blackcoin by being a high end investor type coin. We should emphasize being the better higher returning profit coin. You wanna put people on the horns. Give them two decisions, in this case either BC with less coins and only 1% POS or WC with more coins but with a higher 2% POS. Theres no reason that WC can't be up there with the big boys. No one has taken the time to build up the image and spread it. Like someone posted before, theres white and black. All the other color coins fall in-between. I see tons of potential for Whitecoin but It will need work. I agree, there's tons of potential for WC out there. But also time is of the essence as we're having a tainted reputation so far. I see lots of inconsistant image building with retro advertisement posters, superhero comics, recaptioned bollywood clips, etc. While very nicely done and great fun, it doesn't give a clear image what we stand for and why investors should invest. You make a very good point. A complete rebranding and marketing campaign would need to be done. We should focus and promote it as a high end investor coin like BC but with our own perks. We would have to start with the website then the social media. |

There are a few major problems that are hindering Whitecoins success. First is the original website, it hasn't been updated and links to old wallets which is a huge problem. I don't know if the devs have access to it but something has to be done about it. Either it needs to be removed from googles results or someone needs to get the admin to make changes.
Lack of social media. The Facebook/reddit pages are bare and have not been promoted at all. If you want people to know about your coin then you need to make a strong presence where everyone spends most of their time.
The coins logo needs to be changed back to the original W logo. The logos on the 1st page on this thread are crap and look like a cloudy sphere that doesn't say what coin it is etc or have a simple letter stating what coin it is.
The multi pool needs more miners. Right now there is only 125Mhash of power, half of what it used to be. At this rate the pool can only buy up 0.36BTC 175kWC a day now. I suggested a promoted mining week/month to encourage more people to mine.
Thats all I see holding this coin back. The community is great and the new devs have done a great job.

Another thing you have to remember is that Blackcoin went through the same thing that Whitecoin is going through now. It had a similar peak that topped out at 3500 satoshi and then crashed down to 500-600 satoshi for several weeks. The coin got revived with a new dev/multi pool and had a spike in interest where we recently saw the 95k+ satoshi pump. Keep in mind that Whitecoin is pretty much identical to BC other than the max available coins and higher stake interest. So far the trend has been similar, where we are at now is the same place Blackcoin was right before it took off.

I've said it before on this thread and I'll say it again. The problem with WC's market is that it has cooled down. Investors like to ride the waves. Right now the market is equivalent to a pond with small fish making small splashes here and there. Go to mintpal and look at the max history of Whitecoin, the first week giant whales made huge waves and attracted tons of investors (more investors= more volume) and now it has fizzled out and is stagnant again. In order to get more people attracted to WC we would need to start making waves again. The only way this is gonna happen is if either a big whale decides to pump WC again or if we as a community along with the multi pools do a coordinated buy to help spike the price (equivalent of throwing a rock into the pond).
I agree! We should jump with whole community on board and mine s..!#!% out of White!!!!  ps. Haters gona hate. A coordinated mining day/week would be a good start. A good idea would be to offer a mining bonus for a few days were miners would get a 10/20% bonus on payouts. Coins could be donated from the foundation bank to pay for the bonuses. When its time to buy the WC for the pool payouts the operators should coordinate the buy in together to pump the price each time they do. Jus throwing some ideas out there. |

Everytime I mine on Chunkypools on X11, I don't get anything even in the unconfirmed coins area for hours on end despite solved blocks. Supposedly there have been 10 blocks solved in the past hour since I started mining again with an average payout expectation of 3 - 4 coins per block (as I'm 7-9% of the pool hashrate) and I have gotten 0 for every block. Last time this happened for over 5 hours before coins started getting credited to my account and the total payout was about 1/3rd of what I'd get mining straight litecoin.
I'm sorry to keep harping on this, but you aren't going to get any growth in the pool if people see payouts like this. It's more profitable for me to literally mine anything else and buy WC myself if I want it.

The problem with whitecoins market is not enough waves. There haven't been any big buy streaks that caught on enough interest. Investors like to ride the waves and ups and downs for profit. A coins value begins to decline when the price stabilizes and starts averaging out. Thats when traders pull their money out and move on to more active ponds. To attract more investors and volume we would need a coordinated buy in or basically a community/multipool pump. At this rate the only two things keeping whitecoins value up are its POS and a half decent multi pool. Take it for what you will.

WC has held its ground pretty well. The floor has been holding around 400 sat with strong buy support when it dips under. The multi pools have also been helping but could use more miners. At current rates whitecoinpool can buy up on average 1.5BTC of whitecoins a day. With WC being POS and a strong community behind it I see a slow steady growth in its value. Whitecoin will have its spotlight again but it will be a while until it fully recovers. Overall a good investment.
With WC being at its lowest right now it would be a great time to mine on the multipool even if you don't have a big setup. The coin has plenty of potential and a 10 fold increase isn't unrealistic. Anyway just felt like I would give my 2 cents, I have been following whitecoin since it has been released and have enjoyed tracking its progress.
