101  Economy / Economics / Re: When do you buy Bitcoin ? on: March 14, 2016, 01:53:47 PM
Just wondering when everyone buys bitcoin, weekly, monthly or just on the falls?  thinking of setting up something regular to ride out the waves.....  Grin

well i buy them monthly, one in 2-3 months when i run out of ones that  i have,

and of course i buy when price is very low, like when Mike created huge panic wave, price was really low so i bought lots of them and  i won a lot of money too
102  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You Should Never Sell Your Bitcoins Ever on: March 14, 2016, 01:51:44 PM
Reading the responses to the recent topic titled, "I would sell all my bitcoins if…." has left me concerned.

The kinds of responses on that thread reveal a deep misunderstanding of bitcoin and the current monetary system in many of those who are speculating. Let's consider the scenario in which bitcoin reaches $1000 or let's say $10,000 per bitcoin. Many have said they will cash out if bitcoin reaches this point. Why??

If bitcoin reaches $10,000 it will have to be because the fiat currencies of the world are tumbling to worthlessness via a hyperinflation type scenario and bitcoin is the safe haven, which if you know anything about the current monetary systems of the world, you know this is inevitable. (there have been 3800 fiat currencies throughout history and EVERY SINGLE LAST ONE has crashed to worthlessness; a value of zero) Why would you then sell all of your sound money (Bitcoin) for a bunch of fiat money that is inevitably becoming worthless? I don't understand the logic in doing that.

If bitcoin ever reaches $10,000 per bitcoin, you will NEVER see me selling for fiat paper money. You may however see me having a shopping spree at Overstock.com or TigerDirect.com or NewEgg.com! I will be buying things I want with my bitcoin profits DIRECTLY WITH BITCOIN, not selling my bitcoin for paper fiat. Hopefully by then there will be many more options, perhaps even Amazon.com will be accepting bitcoin for goods and I can have my shopping spree there.

Point being, selling bitcoin for dollars seems counterproductive. Why convert your paper fiat currency into sound value storing superior bitcoin, only to sell all of your superior bitcoin back for worthless antiquated fiat currency again? Why not just spend the bitcoin itself to buy what you want instead of taking a loss by converting back into dollars which will inflate away eventually anyway?

of course you should never sell your bitcoin because you will kill price even lover, if you would keep them for while you will get more money later  if you'll sell them later, always trust in bitcoin, even after larger falls they always rise to top
103  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: March 14, 2016, 01:40:38 PM
Andrew Haldane said one solution would be for the Bank of England to issue a state-backed digital currency based on bitcoin. Supporting this initiative would be a negative interest rate levied on paper currency relative to the digital currency, with these measures do you think there is more possibilities that sometime:

Paper money will be banned entirely?
How long do you think that happens?
would it work?
What security and privacy risks would it raise?
And how would public and privately issued monies interact?

i think in near future, like in 20 years, we won't see much paper money in use, because we will play with electronic cards or bitcoins only, ofc younger and older people will still use it, but rest won't do that anymore, and countries will try to make people toget rid of paper money
104  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: March 14, 2016, 01:20:46 PM
If I answer you no then I'll be lying. Even though my hope is for us to see 1 btc equivalent to 1 btc some day with the price of fiat mean nothing to us, the current movement of the price still gives us the indication in how well accepted btc is and its demand. I do agree with your reasoning but until the I will still closely follow the btc price movement.

i agree with you, price now is important because we will see how bitcoin healthy is, how it is accepted in world and so on, if people will sue bitcoin instead of other currencies, then price won't matter anymore, but for now price of bitcoin means a lot for us
105  Economy / Goods / Re: Any interest in cupcakes for bitcoin? on: March 14, 2016, 01:16:55 PM
My girlfriend and I have been thinking about launching a cupcake business for bitcoin. She's been doing cakes, cupcakes, cookies for about 4 years now, until the company she worked for shut down. Just seeing if there would be any interest in this. Average price per cupcake is around $2.65 each, please post any interest, if i see enough, ill help her build a domain and accept btc as a payment option.

Thank you

price for one cupcake is pretty expensive, but if they're good then it's worth that, also how about shipping? where you would ship only? America or europe too, also if shipping will be really expensive and long, i don't think that peopli will want to spend their bitcoins on food
106  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What type of marketplace site you are looking for? on: March 14, 2016, 01:11:17 PM
What type of marketplace are you looking for? which one is still lacking in bitcoin world
Put your wishes here!

i search for site that have good shipping prices, because if i find a good bitcoin accepting store, shipping price will usually be 3x times larger than price of product, i think everyone wants fair prices, not overpriced shipping, i know that it's expensive but better to ship slower but cheaper
107  Other / Off-topic / Re: What would you like to be able to buy with BTC online? on: March 14, 2016, 01:07:48 PM
As the title says....

What products would you like to buy online with your BTC? Anything that is not yet available?

I want fashion men's products can be purchased online with BTC, because I am very happy to shop such as jackets, t-shirts and jeans. in my country is not yet available, but most of them accept BTC only to buy pulse.

same here, can't find any in my country, also i am afraid that it will be very bad quality products, so i don't risk to buy clothes online for bitcoin

and  i would like to see food for bitcoin, i never saw any of food stores that accepts bitcoins, would be nice to have some in every country
108  Economy / Goods / Re: Where can i buy proteins and creatines using bitcoin? on: March 14, 2016, 01:05:32 PM
So ye guys does anyone do buying stuff like this with bitcoin?

i searched for site that sells them for 15 minutes but couldn't find any, probably no one wanted to buy them so there are none

and  i wouldn't risk to buy even if i would find any, it's very risky to buy from strangers things like that, can be poisonous or very old products
109  Other / Off-topic / Re: The craziest shit you can buy with bitcoins right now? on: March 14, 2016, 01:01:11 PM
Just looking for something crazy to spend some bitcoins on. Feeling bored and hoping that some irrational spending would cheer me up.
(I'm not interested in drugs, thank you)

to be honest, i think that you can buy everything online with bitcoins in year like this, you just need to search

but from what i know, yo can buy drugs of course, you can buy guns, explosives, also maybe fake phones is crazy enough
110  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Brazil has more than 150 stores that accept bitcoin on: March 14, 2016, 12:55:58 PM
Brazil is huge, 150 stores is nothing Grin

Seriously speaking, this is good news. A huge country with a lot of tourism accepting Bitcoin in many places is always an amazing thing!

well yes, Brazil is huge country, but 150 stores is still awesome even if they don't ship

and it is good thing because other stores will think about doing that too, accepting bitcoins, so in few years we should see bitcoins in stores everywhere
111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can you earn with gambling? on: March 14, 2016, 12:14:05 PM
Any sites you recommend?
Strategy?

it depends how lucky are you in gambling, if you very lucky then you can win lots of money, if not so lucky then you will lose only

and best strategy is to play dice game and bet small amounts of money each time, double on lose and if you win, reset your price, hope that will help
112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much BTC have you gambled? on: March 14, 2016, 12:12:33 PM
For starters, I don't do much online gambling, but I do promote most of the BTC casinos and play with bonuses for fun. I recently got a no deposit bonus and am playing around when I see another player making bets of 20 BTC at a time. This specific player has been making consecutive 20 BTC bets for awhile now. Obviously he wins some and he loses some, but most of them are losses. What I can't wrap my head around is why in the world would anyone with this much disposable BTC be gambling it away on a online casino. I understand people have gambling problems, bet wow, I can't even imagine having this much BTC to just gamble away. I can think of a thousand things I'd rather be doing with that money, one of them simply being saving it.

So my question for you guys is, do any of you gamble like this? Do any of you have these kinds of funds, and if so, why are you still gambling?

atleast me, i gamble like 50 cents in week only, sometimes i win more than that, sometimes  i lose all of y weeks money for gambling, but i can't imagine myself risking 20 bitcoins on luck based internet game, and like you said, he did this few times so probably he lost 100 or more bitcoins, he's just dumb
113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be considered as a Sickness!! on: March 14, 2016, 12:09:43 PM
Gambling is risky game of money from which most people lose and just a few wins. Gambling too is addictive and fun especially when you're winning and that's why most people can't get away from gambling once they get in it.
In gambling you only win from the start then you lose whenever you win a certain amount.

of course gambling is very risky, and it's already considered as illness, gamblers sometimes even needs psychological help from doctors, because they can't stop doing that alone, addicted to gambling is pretty same as addicted to drugs or anything else
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Anywhere to Gamble Ethereum? on: March 14, 2016, 12:07:05 PM
Hi, I have 2 ETH. Does anyone know where I can gamble them other than just by trading? Is there a dice/casino/sportsbook/other that accepts ETH?

*EDIT: So according to the responses in this thread so far(thanks), the sites where ETH can be used to gamble:

crypto-games.net
bitdice.me

after first 5 minutes of googling i found bitdice.me and crypto-games.net, crypto games, site looks really nice, gambled there few times and won

it is quite hard to find sites that accept gambling yet, since etherium is still very young, not like bitcoin or lite coin, there will be more in future
115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice game strategy? on: March 14, 2016, 12:03:48 PM
I've became interested in playing dice games with my BTC but every time I play I lose. Is there something that I'm doing wrong, or dice games are supposed to be like that? (sorry I'm new to this) Isn't there a guide or tutorial where I could get started playing these games? I don't know how this really works. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks  Wink

So far, I like dicecoin.io  Cheesy

i think that you play 50/50 chances one, so best strategy here that i know is to bet small amounts of money, if you lose, double your bet, and if you win, go to beginning, since dice games are based on luck, you have to be really lucky to win few times in row usually
116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any advantages from gambling? on: March 14, 2016, 12:00:50 PM
I saw people discussing only issues of gambling but no one telling about advantage. So many gambling houses are coming up so is there any advantages to player or houses?

maybe because people lose more than win, so you see more issues than advantages in forum,

and advantages are these, you can win lots of money, you spend good time and you're happy for that, that's like hobby that bring you fun
117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best strategy in Roulette ? on: March 14, 2016, 11:57:34 AM
There are many types of Roulette strategy available, and each one has its differences from the others, or lucky numbers...

don't believe in lucky numbers, they aren't real, every number have same chance of win as others,

best strategy that i know is 50/50 one, bet on color, so you will win or lose only, reminds me of dice games too as there is 50/50 chance too, but i can't find better roulette strategies
118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: March 14, 2016, 11:55:26 AM
I don't know why but I always get a feeling to gamble, after then losing my money, I quit for some time and then continue, but I know I will lose my btc Sad

Why is it so addictive?

i know why you do that, you're like everyone else, after losing your money you want to win your lost money back, so you gamble again and again,

it is addictive because you can win easy money pretty fast, so after few tries you will want to play more
119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling problem on: March 14, 2016, 11:52:18 AM
I see there is so many people trying hard to stop gambling their money because they've losing so much
If you not ready to lose your money, then don't even try to gamble!
well said
addictive to gambling is very bad and is illness
please read this http://www.responsiblegamblingtrust.org.uk/

yeah his words are good, and gambling is considered as illness, it makes people do bad things ust to get money to gamble and mostly lose

sometimes people aren't ready to lose money so they wan to win it back and they become addicted to gambling
120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider trading as gambling? on: March 14, 2016, 11:50:05 AM
Hey people,

I've always been a huge gambler. I like creating useless schemes (as we all know bank always win ^^) and betting whole nights long in order to find THE right way of betting.
But I need change, I can't bet over and over on the same game cause after I see that nothing can be done to change the odds, I'm bored.

So I thought a bit about trading and I started not so long ago. and it feels a bit like a betting game without knowing the odds and with an infinity of parameters!

Does anyone else takes trading as a gambling game? Smiley

i think that gambling is everything that have 99,9% or less chances to win, because you're not sure if you will win or lose, not like a job, there you always will get money, but in gambling you also can lose it, and i think about trading same as gambling for same reasons
