101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I dont like airdrop. on: February 21, 2018, 09:17:18 AM
The reason is that..

Please have a look at the worst case of NXT.

Bye~

That's just one Aidrop situation though..  If this is the only reason why you do not like Airdrops then it's not a valid reason. If you had multiple situations that went south, then I would excuse you.

You need to do your own due diligence before signing up to any Bounty or Airdrop campaign, some coins or tokens might not be successful and you will not receive your tokens as "promised". Look for successful ICO's with a promising future ahead, and do not look at the amazing price they offer. Be cautious of scams, do research!
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you guys use this in future? on: February 21, 2018, 09:03:30 AM
If it becomes beneficial as an idea, and trustworthy to the public then why not participate in someway. It certainly does sound like it will make things easy for the community. But perhaps an MVP or Beta is needed?!
103  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Earn crypto currencies. on: February 21, 2018, 08:25:16 AM
Is there any way to earn crypto currencies by offering services?

I am a student and i am new to crypto currencies and i want to bag more and more good cryptos so tell me is there a way to earn different coins by offering them services?

It will be very helpful

Best way to earn some money is during ICO crowdsale periods. Usually ICOs have bounty campaigns that you can participate in and earn some coins or tokens that you can later on sell or trade in an exchange platform. Bounty campaigns consist of a few sub campaigns some of which are Signature, Translation/Moderation, Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Telegram, Youtube/Blogging/Media/Article campaigns.
There are also Airdrop campaigns that require no work normally, just a simple sign up to a telegram group or something easy as that.
All the above are a means to make some money on the side, depending on how successful the ICO is ofcourse.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins vs Tokens on: February 21, 2018, 08:17:59 AM
The main difference is the way they are structured. They have a few difference which i will mention below.

Altcoins are a digital currency similar to Bitcoin, and the term stands for alternative to Bitcoin. altcoins are created by diverging from Bitcoin consensus rules or by developing a new cryptocurrency from scratch. Most popular altcoins use the same fundamental building blocks as Bitcoin. This approach is relatively easy to carry out because Bitcoin is a free, open source platform. When an altcoin forks at the blockchain level, an alternate system of consensus rules must be used and the coin will have an entirely different distributed ledger. The same is true for altcoins built from scratch. Some altcoins have different monetary policy rules built into the currency to encourage different uses and treatment. Policies such as minimum spend, or positive or negative interest on coins stored, can encourage or discourage hoarding. Policies for coin mining may function differently from Bitcoin, as may the number of coins paid out per new block mined. While some altcoins can be attempts to enrich founders and offer little new, many have found niches because of way their differences encouraged new miners and uses. Since Bitcoin's inception there have been upwards of 500 altcoins created. Litecoin, Dogecoin, Blackcoin, Freicoin, Peercoin, Vericoin, Myriad, NXT are just a few examples of altcoins.

Tokens are a representation of a particular asset or utility, that usually resides on top of another blockchain. Tokens can represent basically any assets that are fungible and tradeable, from commodities to loyalty points to even other cryptocurrencies. Creating tokens is a much easier process as you do not have to modify the codes from a particular protocol or create a blockchain from scratch. All you have to do is follow a standard template on the blockchain - such as on the Ethereum or Waves platform - that allows you to create your own tokens. This functionality of creating your own tokens is made possible through the use of smart contracts; programmable computer codes that are self-executing and do not need any third-parties to operate. Tokens are created and distributed to the public through an Initial Coin Offering (ICO), which is a means of crowdfunding, through the release of a new cryptocurrency or token to fund project development.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] GoNetwork ICO - Winner of ETHWaterloo - World's Largest ETH Hackathon! on: February 20, 2018, 02:56:05 PM
Where can i see my progress on the bounty program? Would appreciate an answer here on in PM, thank you.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think will/can hit a 100x this year? on: February 20, 2018, 02:48:53 PM
This isn't meant to be a VERY serious discussion that some will use for investment advice, but I am sure it will influence what a few people do buy.

In 2017 Ethereum went up close to 10,000% and even still was outperformed by 3 other cryptocurrencies.

2017 top performers:

Ripple: up 10,900%

NEM: up 14,000%

Einsteinium: up 169,800%
---------------------------------------

If we hit just one of these on the head by buying early on in 2017 we would be millionaires 10 times over if not more.

So let's have a little fun, while possibly changing someone's life in the process.

Make 3 guesses on what you think can 100x between Jan 1, 2018 and Dec 31, 2018.

My guesses:

Waves
ADA
XRP

***To clarify, we are trying to guess which coin will hit 100 times its current value - Example - XRP hits $100 from its current $1.

I would like to see Ethereum Classic or Ripple go sky high this year. Another one that i would like to see rise is NEO. These for me have the high potential to reach new ATH.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to sell? on: February 20, 2018, 02:38:57 PM
I’m new to crypto world and have made a bunch of bad choices. Unfortunately, as of yet, I do not have the knowledge how to distinguish bad coins from good coins. But I’m willing to cut losses and use the current opportunity to buy something of value.

I’d appreciate if you could give me insight which ones of my holdings do have less value or potential. Which ones should I get rid of and which ones should I keep (they all bear huge losses now):
XRB, SEQ, EBST, THC, DOGE, SC, VTC, ZCL, XMR, XLM, LTC, EOS, NEBL, ETHOS, XEM
Tnx!

I would hold on to whatever coins you have because everything is still on a low. Altcoins still need time to rise, but if you see that the coins you plan on selling are simply "dead in the water" then i highyl recommend you sell them and move on to better coins. But give them a chance to rise first.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 💠 DIW 💠 [ANN] [WHITELIST IS UP] 💠 DIWtoken.com 💠 Decentralize Security on: February 20, 2018, 09:53:04 AM

The DIW project is here to stay!

We have grasped the public's attention, including some expert ICO rating! Read the full article here.

Those are impressive rating scores, and in some highly regarded Rating sites. Well done guys and keep up the good work.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New generation ICOs on: February 15, 2018, 02:06:47 PM
In my research on different ICO's, I've recently come across a new ICO called DIW Token, and i would like to know your thoughts on this upcoming ICO.

This is their website https://www.diwtoken.com/

Do you think it's good? Is it promising? Invest or not? Let the community know your thoughts on this ICO. In the meantime, here is a little bit about DIW Token that i have found, perhaps you can share more about this ICO in the thread below.

DIW plans to bridge and solve issues with the introduction of its global, blockchain-based, decentralized network complete with its own ecosystem and currency.

To gain access into the network, members will be provided with a Secure Vault, where they will be able to store their entire ‘Digital Life’ including documents such as identities, passports, KYC & KYS, financial, contracts, health records as well as login details.

Organizations as well as individuals around the globe, will be able to join in and exchange their services in the form of a Global Directory. The network will ensure that their identity is validated and their details accurate. Transactions will be completed in full transparency and all network members will be able to see each member’s real life performance in the form of a rating score.

The DIW token will be used and accepted throughout the network for transactions between its members, enabling higher security. Additional security services such as a digital contract-based escrow service will also be offered.
To top it all up and follow the crypto currency trend, DIW plans to introduce its own Payment Gateway that will be easily integrated within e-commerce websites accepting both fiat as well as crypto currencies enabling the utilization of crypto currencies in everyday life.

To finalize, I believe that this project is set be one of 2018’s biggest ICO success stories as it provides solutions to current major problems. I think that participating in this project would be a safe bet and a sound investment. That's just my thought, what do you think?
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advisors importance on: February 15, 2018, 02:01:02 PM
I agree that Advisors play a big role in an ICO. That is why you should see at least 3 or 4 advisors in ICO project. In most cases, they will guarantee the success of a project by giving the right information regarding the market, the company or the ICO itself.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What project is scam? on: February 15, 2018, 01:49:54 PM
Everyone should do their due diligence when looking at investing in any ICO. It's very important when your looking into ICOs and researching them. You need to do so thoroughly. It can be hard choosing especially now with all these scam projects around.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 600$ - Invest in altcoin on: February 15, 2018, 01:37:41 PM
How about investing in multiple coins, for maximum profit. It's nice to have more than just 1 coin and you can trade with those that are doing well. I would recommend Ethereum, Ripple, Litecoin, Stellar and Ethereum Classic. You will have a combination of Long term and short term coins.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO 2018 on: February 15, 2018, 01:08:37 PM
I highly recommend DIW Token, its currently at whitelist stage and moving on to PRE-ICO soon. If you like the idea of a safe and secure decentralised platform, then you should surely look into this. It's bounty and airdrop is running at this moment, and more information can be found on their official Telegram group.
For more info go to https://diwtoken.com/
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Ripple considered as potential coin? on: February 15, 2018, 12:52:18 PM
I think the main factor is because its market cap value is quite high and has potential to reach bitcoins market cap value if the actual price reaches $5 or more. Theoretically it can be done.
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $500 Portofolio on: February 13, 2018, 03:19:46 PM
I would consider going for Altcoins that have high potential and ones that developers are being updated. Ethereum, Ripple, Ethereum Classic and Stellar would be in my portfolio. I've seen good profit from those before.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ripple rise again? on: February 13, 2018, 02:58:16 PM
Ripple will slowly but surely rise to $2, it's hovering over $1 right now, but soon new tech will be developed and people will start to invest and price will go up again.
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is KYC requirement in the ICO sector making customer vulnerable on: February 13, 2018, 02:32:21 PM
My thought is that the ICO KYC will limit the act of scamming and promote diligence in the ICO sector but I read today that the KYC requirement in the ICO sector is making ICO full of the possibility of danger and failure through customer data linkage. Is true there's possibility of the KYC requirement in ICO making customer vulnerable?

Even me, i dont understand why KYC needs to be implement.
KYC or know your customer is such a wall for those investors that came from countries that can't join the ICO though, they are just few compare to those investors who want to participate though they have the Identification that qualifies for KYC, some reason is the identity that everyone dont want to expose.
cryptocurrency is made to make all transactions be anonymous, that's why i dont understand why they are doing this now.

I understand what you're saying from your standpoint, but KYC is implemented for a reason. Usually the reason being is for people from countries not allowed to join the ICO, because they are restricted because of their rules and regulations. KYC can be look at as a stepping stone but it's exactly what it states it is. It's part of being something fully decentralised. Perhaps it is a positive thing.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Girls in the world of crypto currency on: February 13, 2018, 02:24:56 PM
I have been trading crypto-currencies for almost a year now, investing, participating in bounty companies and building my own mining farm.
I wonder how many more girls are in this forum?
Or who of the guys is teaching his girlfriends and wives to invest and trade in crypto-currencies? It is very interesting to me!

There is probably many in the cryptoworld that do that, especially if One is in it full time. Personally, i feel that it doesn't matter whether you're a woman or not. Trading and Investing will have the same effect on both genders. It's all about character at the end of the day. You need to be patient and quite smart to be investing and trading in the crypto.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I want a long term investment what s the best choice for now? on: February 13, 2018, 01:56:18 PM
I recommend going long term on multiple coins, and Bitcoin would probably be one of them, especially now that its low on price value. I would seriously consider Ethereum, Ripple, NEO and Ethereum Classic because they have high potential and the devs keep updating them.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best ICO on: February 13, 2018, 01:49:58 PM

A promising ICO that is currently in Whitelist stage and closing nearer to PRE-ICO is DIW Token. It's about Securing and Decentralizing your virtual life. Safeguarding your private data in a digital wallet for you to access and use at any time. I have done my research on this particular project and my thoughts and views on it say that it's a good ICO to look into and perhaps invest. If you are interested in a good ICO i highly recommend it, so visit the site at www.diwtoken.com and read the whitepaper and go to the telegram group and ask the devs your questions.
