I posted that and I KNEW someone would quote just that part
102  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: PHP martingale bot for satoshiDICE on: October 09, 2012, 01:16:38 PM
the second one, I was using the strategy in the thread about 'how to last longer' and it works really well, until your luck runs out Cheesy

but that was without the script and I noticed every once in awhile the transaction fee would go up if I didn't have enough confirmed coins obviously, so I would go do something else for awhile and come back, does this script check for that?

EDIT: i went back and re-read the code samples here and it looks like they take into consideration unconfirmed coins which would make the fee go up I think (?)

I was also wondering about the blockchain idea so I can screw around with it from work, I may do that in my spare time.  It seems like they have an api that works with bitcoind so you would just point your script to blockchain.info with your identifier (not the shortlink) and the password along with port 443 instead of localhost and it might work the same.

I have yet to actually try it because all my wallet stuff is at home and I don't have any coins in my blockchain account so don't quote me Cheesy

it's all working for me now yay!  probably has been for the past day or so, but I haven't really checked it until now :/

i like the idea of this, but feel a bit iffy actually putting it to use

Tom said Friday that they were launching a new website and it would include some new specs for the boards and such.
So we should be seeing it pop up soon hopefully!

i think he meant he doesn't get a reward for number of clicks on the link from his sig, but yes he gets a reward for having it in there Cheesy

that is disheartening even if it is a server error Cheesy  I think he mentioned he was switching sites or redesigning or something

maybe I am remembering something that was not there

as long as you are able to keep PNC bank deposits, this is something I was looking into the future for me.  For whatever reason, there are absolutely no BofA or Wells Fargo Banking locations nearby (closest is something like 120 miles away!)  PNC on the other hand is right across the street practically!

my us1 is now connecting, but 2 and 3 still having issues (as a side note, I just learned how to use the failover from cgminer heh)

would have been nice to set that up before last night so they could have all been able to mine

my nmc went from .32xxx unconfirmed to -.09xxxxx yesterday and today I tried us1 2 and 3, all down ... it looks like the last time they had work from emc was around 10 or 11 pm last night

...
IMO, they should disallow it just because of the administrative overhead.  I want them spending their time making a great product delivered on-time, not dealing with all of the hassle of managing the trading of orders.  I disagree with the opinion that managing this would only amount to a trivial amount of work.

IMO, If a buyer wants to sell their order, they need to manage the entire process, receive the product themselves at their address, and then turn around and ship it to the buyer.  Leave Avalon out of it.

agreed

can't wait to see them! Cheesy

Just made preorder on 54Gh ASIC. Payed with btc. My order number >1000  Sad. Hope it will be delivered before Apocalypse  Grin

I feel your pain, I spent all week trying to convince my bank to release my funds, the orders were somewhere around 800 when I started looking and I ended up with >1000 in two or three days

But based on what Tom was saying, some of these could be duplicates, orders not processed etc, so that makes me feel like I might get it before the end of days, but we'll see!

I am wondering if EMC will make use of stratum at any point in the future, anyone know?  Perhaps I am just a silly newb  Cry and I missed something, but I did not see anything about it on the site currently.
120  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [CLOSE] Avalon ASIC group buying on: October 04, 2012, 01:42:17 PM
i think he means he'll give you the order and you have to pay for the avalon as if you had done the pre-order yourself at least that's how i read it
