101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Did you download the BTC blockchain for personal use ? on: December 01, 2015, 02:24:51 PM
I downloaded it once, but since last year I use Electrum to avoid the overuse of HD and network.
102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What did you buy on bitcoin black Friday? on: December 01, 2015, 12:12:58 PM
Nothing at all.
Even with fiat I bought almost nothing, there were almost no good deals here.
103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many bitcoin address you have right now? why you have more than one? on: December 01, 2015, 12:11:11 PM
Well, not counting change address, I have like 10.
Most are pre generated by Electrum, and 2 are imported private keys from my old qt wallet.
Some address I use for one time deals, and some of them are "public", like the one in my profile, so people know that this is me.
104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Storing money on Smartphone is far more secure than desktop or laptop on: November 23, 2015, 07:37:57 PM
Android is far from secure.
And iOS is secure only because it avoids you to installing unwanted apps, since anything outside App Store iOS says "no".
105  Economy / Economics / Re: How much Coca Cola can you buy with 1 Bitcoin in your country? on: November 20, 2015, 05:29:02 PM
the bitcoin purchase price index, looks good. especially when things get more measured in spendable value of actual items and not directly fiat.

http://bitcoinppi.com/

Never heard of it, it's pretty nice that it have so much countries.

@Topic
Each 2 liters costs 0.00415
So... 2 / 0.00415 = 480+/- liters of Coca Cola
106  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Paris France ISIS Killer had $3 million dollar BTC Wallet on: November 19, 2015, 10:06:26 AM
If this is true, it'll be another bad story.
But since the source isn't realiable and it has no real info, like, what are the adresse, this changes nothing.
107  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: November 18, 2015, 10:57:46 AM
Press is no longer counted towards members' post counts.

Press tends to be a very productive section as most of the topics there are created and Bitcoin related even if they are news links people don't tend to abuse the comment section, a bit curious why its not counted as well.

Press even seens more productive then the main bloated Bitcoin main section.
People answer things over and over again, do some trash talk like "I think that wont work" or even question things inside a post that was already answered but they don't bother to read the fcking post because all they want is an increase in the payout of the campaign.
This campaign without minimal post quantity is ideal for me, because I never again needed to made some dumb posts to get to 50 posts or what.

109  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Problema do Mercado Bitcoin on: November 18, 2015, 10:36:38 AM

111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anybody getting the 21 bitcoin computer? on: November 17, 2015, 10:22:38 AM
It's all about convenience & the API guys.

This is a dev kit. It is not addressed to regular consumers

If it's a dev kit...
Then why not just buy an Raspberry PI 2 or an Arduino?
They are cheap, awesome and has community support.
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many active users of bitcoin are there? on: November 13, 2015, 01:53:50 PM
People try to know this exchange accounts and the rotation of money in the blockchain, but that's not going anywhere.
It's also a problem because we'll never know if the user base is increasing or decreasing unless there's a major occurrence.
113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are there journalists that think this way about Bitcoin in 2015? on: November 10, 2015, 06:08:59 PM
God, still this crap about pyramid in Bitcoin.
I thought this was past.
114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Brazilian exchanges hit all-time volume high in October on: November 10, 2015, 04:05:57 PM
Great for Brazil!

I wonder if there will be a boom in activity and "bitcoin accepted here" signs leading up to the Olympics next summer. Anyone know?

I would like to see the "bitcoin accepted here" sign in Brazil. That will give enormous publicity to bitcoin and help its adoption.

Some rare places accept it. And of course, the tickets for entering Olympics games won't accept Bitcoin.
Although it got a new all-time high here on Brazil, remember 2 things:
-There's a crisis going on here. Last year 1 USD = 2.50BRL, now its over 1 USD = 3.80 BRL
-Rise in the value of BTC

So it's not that all good news.
115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are there journalists that think this way about Bitcoin in 2015? on: November 10, 2015, 03:55:26 PM
A paid economics news website seriously?
I could spend some time to remove the popup to read but I'm too lazy for this.
Next time either quote the text(if allowed) or don't even bother to post this.
116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fake LocalBitcoins Android App is Phishing For Bitcoins on: November 06, 2015, 10:14:41 AM
How did this end up approved and released by the store?

Because no app is approved or verified on the play store.
On the first report of an abuse or something like that Google will take a closer look first before it removes.
Google (and apple for that matter) will check apps so that they fit their T&C and are not viruses. They can't really do much else to verify whether an app is scamming or a fake since that is hard to determine automatically. Doing that needs a person to check the apps, and they don't have enough time or people for that.

You're right except that Apple truly have human verification.
Sending an app the the App Store take at least 30 days, if you're lucky enough to not have nothing that needs to be changed, so it means another "at least 30 days".

118  Local / Primeiros Passos (Iniciantes) / Re: Pagar Boleto com bitcoins on: November 04, 2015, 03:26:48 PM
www.paguecombitcoin.com

119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: check it out Girls do use BTC! on: October 28, 2015, 09:55:26 AM
I wonder why it's so rare for girls to use btc.....  Huh

Because it's hard to find tech savvy girls.
120  Local / Primeiros Passos (Iniciantes) / Preciso sanar algumas duvidas antes de aderir, ajudem!!! on: October 23, 2015, 01:27:31 PM

Bancos 24 Horas ? ), existe algo do tipo ?

____________________________

______

1- Isso qualquer carteira faz. Você pode ter quantos endereços quiser;
2- Isso é MUITO improvável. Acho que só a MultiBit faz isso. O porquê é que existem as change address e aí ele se vira em usar o saldo delas ao invés de só ficar acumulando;
3- Ou é web, ou é desktop. Não existe uma carteira assim.
