101  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think Bitcoin can end poverty? In a nation today on: May 03, 2024, 09:36:29 AM
For me proverty is not the problem of a person but of the whole nation in my country the eradication of poverty has becomes necessary for the sustainable and inclusive growth of the let state the fate here Bitcoin has helps the poor by Increasin their savings and access to capital also it has help around 1.7million people in my country and also it has also impoverished people to control their investment.
How can you be sure that bitcoin can solve the problem of poverty throughout the world or only in a small area in your country. Bitcoin is independent and run by individuals for the investment and trading process, so there are opportunities that we can use to solve the problem of poverty. Poverty can be interpreted as a step in which financial difficulties are experienced by people and they are unable to meet life's needs in the process. So how can people who are in poverty try to invest and trade when it is difficult to meet their living needs?

It is impossible for poor people to invest and even if there were, maybe they would not be poor but would not have much money. The mindset of poor people is not how they invest, but how they can eat for today or tomorrow. There is no opportunity for poor people to invest because the availability of money limits them from getting involved.

Bitcoin is a very valuable asset and to be able to own it we need money and even a lot of money, bitcoin is not created and distributed for free. It's funny that he said that bitcoin is helping 1.7 million people in his country escape poverty. Not to mention, bitcoin is a highly volatile investment and most people lose money investing in it, not too many people make profits from it. So, it would be a lie to say that bitcoin is helping alleviate poverty.

To reduce poverty in a country, that country needs to create jobs for its people and help them generate income, thereby ensuring their living needs and poverty will gradually be eliminated. It is not that we rely on risky speculative assets to solve the country's poverty problem.
102  Economy / Speculation / Re: Inflation and Bitcoin's Potential Impact on: May 02, 2024, 10:30:25 AM
No doubt, like any other asset, Bitcoin has helped to hedge against inflation in the past, but with the current status of the coin, I do not think it would be easy anymore. Take for instance, if you buy Bitcoin at $65,000 and the inflation in your country bites to the point that the goods you want to buy or the service you want to purchase has truly skyrocketed to at least 4 times as it is currently happening in my country, whereas Bitcoin could only move to $125,000. What do you do? This obviously cannot hedge the inflation, but as an investment, if it moves higher for at least a reasonable degree, it will still help the person to limit the effect of the inflation and it depends on the performance of Bitcoin at the time.

And I must advise you, do not invest in Bitcoin simply because of its past history, it may fail you and a good investment warning forbids that. You should invest in it because you believe in it, that's better in case anything bad happens. Bitcoin enjoyed its low price then and the early investors were so lucky, but at this time when the price is somewhat high, extreme care is needed to avoid issues.
I do not think that it would be impossible, it is just taking sometime to get back to ATH levels, but look at how much we increased in the last year. Remember, this coin was under 20k for a while, I think the bottom hit somewhere close to 15k or 16k whatever, which means that we are still four times higher than that even with the current situation.

People look at the top, but they never calculate the bottom and the reality is that compared to the bottom we are doing a lot better right now, that is all that should matter. I personally believe that we are going to have some trouble one way or another, and shouldn't really be doing anything bigger than that. Just focus on the benefits that we had, maybe you and I couldn't, but the general market went up a lot.

But not everyone can buy bitcoin for less than $20k and there are new investors entering the market, some have bought for $70k. Not to mention currently bitcoin is correcting and there is no guarantee that it will recover and rise again.

I agree with what EarnOnVictor said, don't invest in bitcoin just because of its history because things are changing with time. In the past, we have seen bitcoin increase by 1000%, 10000% and more. But I think that won't happen anymore because things have become very different, bitcoin has become bigger to be able to bring us such big profits.

In addition, to solve inflation we need many solutions, not just relying on bitcoin, because anything can happen. Think of the scenario, bitcoin doesn't go up in price or worse things happen to it. Don't be subjective and especially with a volatile asset like bitcoin.
103  Economy / Speculation / Re: Now is the best time to buy the dip and HODL on: May 02, 2024, 10:07:34 AM
Yes, now is a good time to buy Bitcoin again at low prices. Investors are already taking their time to accumulate more Bitcoin by buying at these low prices. Maybe later we will not see this low price again so we should take advantage of this time to increase the amount of our Bitcoin investment.

Those who have purchased above $60k, need to be patient and not panic. They can buy Bitcoin again at the current price and that will lower the average buy price. That is why we should not buy all-in in anticipation of a decline like this time.

After the Bitcoin price experiences a correction, we will see an increase. At that time, many of those who have bought Bitcoin will smile and see the large profits they can get.
No one knows to what extent the price correction will occur as it is now and indeed if buying now is the right time, especially for the future, of course it will be quite profitable, but I think after the Halving there will be a Bitcoin price correction that will occur over a fairly long period of time. before recovering and soaring high.
So waiting a while for a deeper correction is also not a bad thing.

For Bitcoin holders there should be no panic because we can see from what happened in the past and indeed Bitcoin prices are always able to recover higher, price corrections that occur like now are normal.

If you say that no one knows where the current price correction will end, then what do you base your belief that a deeper correction will take place in the near future? And if bitcoin doesn't correct further and recover from here, what will you do next?

The funny thing is that when bitcoin goes up, everyone thinks it will go even higher, but when bitcoin corrects, people think it will correct even deeper. Predictions that bitcoin will reach $75k or $80k after the halving have gradually disappeared, and instead, predictions that bitcoin will fall to $50k or $40k are becoming denser.

No one has a crystal ball to predict the future, so invest when you're ready and take profits when you're happy and satisfied with your profits. Don't try to be smarter than the market, we will pay a heavy price.
104  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Hong Kong Bitcoin ETF Responsible for Recent Bear on: May 02, 2024, 09:55:53 AM
Hong Kong bitcoin ETF approval is not the reason for the bear market. I can remember United States said Israel fired some missiles to Iran and the market went below $60000 again at the time like two or more weeks ago. Not quite after that Hong Kong approved bitcoin ETF. The price of bitcoin moved back above $60000 and got to almost $67000 before this bear market started. I think the bear market is just how the market wants to be normally.

I got your point here, what I meant was base on this recent experience with the market price which was all that just transpired between yesterday and today, following the news, the Hong Kong government just officially made the announcement yesterday to recognized Bitcoin ETF as approved, this make the market between that same yesterday to the early hours of today to fall below $60,000, while the one you're having in consideration was from the initial fall from $70,000 below as a result of the Israel attack from Iran.

Although macro news can impact the market, things don't always work out that way. I don't see any impact from the war between Iran and Israel on the market since the war broke out, it's all just our imagination.

Let's accept the fact that large funds and investment organizations also need profits and this is the financial market. After a long time, bitcoin ETFs continued to buy bitcoin in large quantities every day, and it is understandable that they began to take profits, causing the market to plummet.
With continuous negative cash flows for many consecutive days from bitcoin ETFs, it is not too difficult to understand why bitcoin prices are falling and we do not need to blame the war or anything. No financial market can increase vertically, if there is an increase there will be a decrease and we have had 7 consecutive months of growth and correction is inevitable.
105  Economy / Economics / Re: Stagnant Salaries vs. Inflationary Savings Tax on: May 02, 2024, 09:41:10 AM
Which of these economic situations would you prefer to find yourself in?

A- Your salary is stagnant but prices fall. Where this happens, your real purchasing power has increased.  It's called constructive deflation. And even if your salary falls, but prices fall faster, you are still ahead.
I'll always prefer this because no matter what you collect as Salary it can still be used to afford atleast the basic things you want, this makes life very easy. It is better than collecting high salary but still struggling to afford things and it make no sense. Inflation is very bad and earning a high salary is not a solution because even with that the money won't even have value to afford things.
But I doubt if this will ever happen because inflation will always exist and this is the reason price of things won't remain stagnant or even go lower.

Inflation is the reason why their will be an increase in the salary of workers and why people also strive to get more sources of income. If their is any where the price of things falls people won't even bother or struggle to get more income.

Everyone understands and knows that things are getting worse due to increasing inflation, but controlling inflation is not as simple as we think, it is not simply necessary to limit money printing to reduce inflation. Growing population, fluctuating supply and demand and even huge gaps are the leading causes of inflation. Not to mention the growing population and if the government does not print money, it cannot meet the needs of exchanging goods...It can be said that controlling inflation is not as simple as we think and depends on many factors, not just focusing on printing money.
106  Economy / Economics / Re: Surviving in this economy needs a new minds set on: May 02, 2024, 09:29:37 AM
A better mindset would have to be functional following a good plan, else, it's just a wishful thinking.
For investments in Bitcoin, when one has a source of income and can occasionally set aside some funds to follow a plan, the mindset of such an investor would have been reprogrammed to better produce results that fit the plan and ideal goal in mind.
Another thing also is that mindset shift can be a result of affirmations that can influence ones energy and thus manifest results in the direction one tends for it happen.
By having a good mindset, of course it will be very good in making good plans because without a good mindset, of course it will be impossible to have a good plan. It is true that to be able to invest, of course you have to have a source of income that you can get. savings so that we can invest because without a source of income it will be very impossible to be able to invest because of course they have to think about their own needs first, so it is important for everyone who has the desire to invest that they have to have a good mindset so they can develop themselves in a better direction than before.
But what is good thinking and what is a good plan? To me, how to bring good results is the most important thing and deserves the most attention, not a good plan because planning and implementing it are two completely different things. It's easy to say but not as easy to do as we say. So don't exaggerate things to an unnecessary level, we don't need new thinking, we just need to try to adapt to social change.

In addition, I do not agree with the OP that to invest in bitcoin, we must need a new mindset, investment has existed for hundreds of years and bitcoin is no longer a strange asset to us, it has existed for more than 15 years.
107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: May 01, 2024, 05:27:48 PM
Yesterday in the Spanish League Barcelona vs Valencia match between two teams, Barcelona team scored 4 goals and Valencia team scored 2 goals. There was a lot of fighting between the two teams until the half time. The player of Barcelona team R. Lewandowski did a great performance in this match. I thought that both teams  In between the match will be a draw but the Barcelona team played very well.

In the second half of the match Valencia were down to 10 player, so Barcelona were able to turn things around and Lewandowski also managed a hat-trick in thematch. But I sure, Barcelona would not have gotten such a victory if forexample Valencia was still playing with 11 players too. Because after all, in the first half the fact that Valencia had won with a score of 1-2 and of course, that factor would make Valencia easy to maintain the victory that had been obtained. But unfortunately, the red card received by the Valencia goalkeeper made Valencia fail to maintain the victory it had in the firsthalf.

Quote
Robert Lewandowski scored his first hat-trick of the season
Barcelona cruised to victory thanks to Robert Lewandowski's second-half hat-trick after Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili was sent off.
Link- https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/68925357

This was a great match for Barcelona. But the only problem was, that Barcelona's defense and the Barcelona goalkeeper made mistakes in this match. I hope they will be able to fix those in the future. the defense of Barcelona is going to have to play carefully when they have lost possession. Upon losing possession they will have to turn back and play defense properly instead of pressuring the ball. But Robert Lewandowski was on point and rescued the Barcelona team. Scored a Hattrick when Barcelona needed him.

Also, I have to talk about the tackling inside the penalty box from Barcelona. That was a horrible tackle. I know she was really close to the ball and he probably even felt like he actually got the ball but I think it is better to not make those kinds of tackles in the penalty box And stay on his feet. In the penalty box, I believe you should do that only when you know the opponent is taking a shot and you want to block it.
108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: April 29, 2024, 05:30:04 PM
Snip.
Arsenal skipped pass Tottenham who were predicted to be a problem for the team in top three as they all fight to finish well this season. Manchester City will face the same conditions as Arsenal did, playing the game at Tottenham's stadium. Tottenham press very well, and if Manchester City are not careful, they can make things difficult for them at this crucial point in the season. It remains a fierce battle, Arsenal lost one game this year and it looked like it ruined their chances already, it shows that this season in the league is very competitive.
The victory over Tottenham certainly means a lot for Arsenal and the three points achieved are very valuable because they were obtained at the headquarters of a team that is considered capable of stopping them. Arsenal have three more matches to complete all the matches played this season, two of which will be played at the Emirates stadium vs Bournemouth and vs Everton, one more match will be played at Manchester United headquarters. Nine points is of course Arsenal's target in these three matches. If they are able to maintain the performance they did when they beat Tottenham, perhaps Arsenal will get full points in every match.

If this scenario occurs, Manchester City will have to win all the remaining games this season to surpass Arsenal points tally. Tottenham is still Manchester City toughest challenge, winning is also their target so they can finish in a better ranking. It is still not certain who will win the Premier League title race this season because the two teams are only separated by one point.

I mean Tottenham did fight till the end in this match. But they were unable to win in the end. Only if they could avoid some mistakes. But anyway, Arsenal keeps the hopes of winning the English Premier League title alive with this win against Tottenham. I thought it was going to be hard for Arsenal to win this match. And to some extent it was. But now Arsenal is going to hope that Manchester City loses or drops point in future matches.

Otherwise, Arsenal does not have a chance to win the English Premier League title. Remember, Manchester City has played less matches compared to Arsenal and Liverpool both. if Manchester City keep winning, none of them are winning the English Premier League title. Well, Liverpool might not be winning the title anyway, the way they are performing but I just do not want to count them out already.
109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Premier League #IPL Cricket on: April 29, 2024, 04:41:58 PM

Kolkata won the previous match against Delhi by a huge margin of 106 runs. A huge target of 273 runs was given by the Kolkata team. On the other hand, Delhi players were able to collect up to 166 runs. Kolkata team got a nice win.

Having lost the previous match by a big margin, the Delhi captain won the toss and decided to bat first in this match. But even in today's match, Delhi is not playing well. Delhi managed to collect 80 runs in 9 overs. Despite a good enough run rate, the Delhi team has already lost 4 wickets. It will be very difficult for Delhi to give away big targets in this match. going on Given a target of 150-160, Delhi has no chance of winning. Kolkata batsmen are in good form.

Today I am very annoyed with the batting of Delhi Capitals players. Delhi batsmen are not able to bat well even on such a batting friendly pitch. At the end of 16 overs, Delhi collected only 128 runs. The interesting thing is that Delhi have already lost 8 batsmen. Delhi team will not be able to collect even 150 runs. None of the batsmen in the squad can bat responsibly. RIshab Pant managed to collect maximum 27 runs from 20 balls. Besides, no batsman can stay at the crease for long.

Every bowler in Calcutta squad except Starc bowled well today. Starc took a wicket with 43 runs in 3 overs. Varun Chakrawarti bowled well today. He picked up three wickets with just 16 runs in 4 overs.

A completely one sided match we are enjoying today. Although I thought the match would be competitive. But the performance of both batsmen and bowlers of Delhi is very poor. None of the batsmen in the squad could play a big innings. Kuldeep Yadav scored the highest 35 runs. Besides, no other batsman could bat so well. And now we don't see any good performance from Delhi bowlers either.

At the end of 6 overs of power play, Kolkata managed to collect 75 runs without losing any wicket. Phil Salt is batting very aggressively today, and Narine is batting very slowly. Salt remained unbeaten with 60 runs from 28 balls and Narine collected 15 runs from 9 balls. Calcutta need 75 runs from 84 balls to win. Kolkata team is going to get an easy win. Kolkata team will reach the goal of victory before 15 overs.

111  Economy / Economics / Re: Nobody is not ready for this fiat currency volatility on: April 29, 2024, 10:11:55 AM
Fiat currencies can get weak due to economic problems and other reasons surrounding the economy of a country, but I don't see any point in your post where you describe the reason why you think fiat currencies will become volatile just like cryptocurrencies because an asset will only get volatile if it has a limited supply and it isn't controlled by a central authority. A country can't let its currency become volatile, it can gain and lose purchasing power, but that's a different thing altogether.

What makes you say that?  Roll Eyes Someone with good enough knowledge about economics would know that when a currency loses purchasing power it means its value has become volatile.  Smiley Take any third-world country's currency as an example, their value keeps changing when checked against currencies such as USD or GBP, etc., and this happens because they have a weak economy.
The value of fiat currency depends on the economic health of the country. Only a handful of countries have high inflation due to government corruption and mismanagement causing their currencies to lose value. And that is not enough for us to assert that all fiat currencies of all countries will become as volatile as cryptocurrencies, the likelihood of that happening is very unlikely for countries with large economies like the US or developed countries.

Cryptocurrencies on the other hand will barely become usable on a larger scale for multiple reasons. The very first reason is that countries and their governments won't allow cryptocurrencies to take over because if that happens, they will lose control, and they won't be able to do anything if they lose control because control gives them power.

I quite agree with this point of yours and the reason is that we can see how governments get restless when cryptocurrencies start spreading within their countries.  Tongue It's pretty evident with countries such as the USA who is constantly trying to push them away either by imposing enormous taxes or suing every other cryptocurrency platform or company.

The government has never been restless or worried about the development of cryptocurrency because it can grow and become popular requires their permission. If you come from a country where cryptocurrency is banned like Bangladesh, you will find that it will never be widely used by the people if the government still issues a ban. Don't be delusional and overestimate cryptocurrencies, and don't forget that the government is still the one who controls this world.
112  Economy / Economics / Re: World price tag on every product. on: April 29, 2024, 09:52:16 AM
I don't know if you think the world is a country but I can say it's never possible for such a dream of yours to come through, reason being that the world does not operate on the same economy, we don't share same currency hence buying product of a particular price tag could be killing in some economy while ate the same time it could be very cheap in some other countries.

You can say each country should have a price regulation to enate a price fur every product but it shouldn't be the world generally because it's going to be a destructive decision. I don't know your country of origin or location but I believe this topic of yours is so much biased by the economical pressure in your current location.
In other words, each country's economy is not the same, the average GDP of each country is never equal. So it makes no sense to suggest that poorer countries should spend the same amount of money on a product as developed countries. If this happens, underdeveloped countries will soon disappear from the world map.

I guess OP is from a 3rd generation country and has quite high tariffs on imported products and he will have to pay more for imported products. So he came up with this idea  Grin Grin. Similarly in my country, cars are taxed by the government at more than 150% and we have to pay a much higher amount than other countries to own a car of the same brand.
113  Economy / Economics / Re: Getting an MBA before starting a company or directly starting a company? on: April 29, 2024, 09:21:56 AM
MBA is nothing if you dont know how to use knowledge or havent developed right set of skills for business. A lot of MBA students know theory, but when they are given tasks, they cant do anything, because they dont have any experience. If someone thinks, that after getting MBA, his company will be more successful than other on the market, then such person will be surprised to find out that market is rules not by the level of diploma, but by people.

It is also because many students have such short-sighted thinking that they think that today education and degrees are useless and they do not admit that that weakness comes from themselves. It is true that a degree cannot bring them success because knowledge alone is not enough and they need experience. But it should not be blamed on the degree or education, but their stupidity in not being able to promote what they have been taught. Why don't we ask the question that many people who study with us have the same degrees as us but they can get stable jobs and become entrepreneurs while we can't?

A degree does not guarantee our success, but if we own it and take advantage of what we are taught in school, we will certainly have a higher chance of success than many people who do not have a degree or education.
114  Economy / Economics / Re: Prioritizing strong foundation over quick gains on: April 29, 2024, 09:07:24 AM
There is no success without having a strong foundation and it requires extra patience and a long time for us to process it. Many people take shortcuts or shortcuts to get big money, such as gambling or other things, I think they are taking the wrong path. And many who invest in meme coins, I think they are trying their luck there, I think they will play in the short term and they already know the risks. If we want to be successful, we have to make more than one income. If we don't have one yet
The foundation of earning more than one is not yet considered successful. Success cannot be achieved in the short term but requires quite a long time.

I don't know gambling is a shortcut to earn big money, all I know is gambling a shortcut how to lose money quickly if the sole purpose is to earn profit completely ignoring the fact that it is just for a past time  fun. Well, in rare cases, I may not call it a wrong path if a person indeed win huge money and decided to put up his own business with that same money he won from gambling. This goes the same with the memecoin. Those coins are the closest investment we can compare with gambling. It's like a lottery, people put a small amount of investment capital then leave it there and hope that it will take off  in the next coming months despite the fact that most of that kind of coin only has a very little to no chances of becoming successful nor even getting a good value to the market.
I will not mention gambling because everyone knows gambling never brings good results. But investing in memecoins, I don't think all memecoins are bad. Doge, shiba and floki are the top memecoins on the market and I rate them even more worth investing in than other top projects. Look at how doge has evolved to this day, or how shiba and floki are creating their own blockchains and not just animal-named tokens for fun.
If we don't take the time to learn everything, we should not rush to equate everything as the same and bad, many memecoins have become symbols and culture in the cryptocurrency industry.
115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: April 28, 2024, 05:44:39 PM
Girona managed to win away from home and move ahead of Barcelona with a game in hand.Although Girona didn't play better than their opponent, they had a good squad and Girona made the most of it.Although there were 3 penalties in the match, only 1 of them was converted into a goal.First, Las Palmas won a penalty in the 8th minute and failed to convert it. Then Girona won it and scored on the return ball.Las Palmas have been struggling to win for a long time. They have the potential to finish in the top 7 of the league, but their inability to win for nearly 9 weeks has put them far behind in the league.Maybe if they had won even 3 of the matches they played in these 9 weeks, they could still be in the race.
The point is that Girona is currently in second place with just one point difference from Barcelona but it's actually not important who will be runner up because just being part of the top four is more than enough to get a UCL ticket next season and I'm sure Girona is also in the hunt to maintain its position to be in its current position. I don't think Xavi wants to see Barcelona experience a decline, let alone get out of the top four, because for him it is important to get a UCL ticket next season because Xavi is still staying and not leaving Barcelona this season. This.

So there is still a chance for Xavi to form a strong team at Barcelona until next season because he has to be able to overhaul everything and learn from the failures of this season so that in next season everything must be able to achieve the target of winning several important trophies besides Laliga, I think Barcelona after experiencing defeat yesterday when they faced Madrid, they will improve it by playing even better in the next match. even though Madrid will still be champions of Laliga this season and Barcelona must accept that gracefully.

Girona has played one match more compared to Barcelona so far. they also have a match left against Barcelona to play. So I think Barcelona has a great chance to finish in the second position and the same could be said for Girona as well. Barcelona probably has only two matches that are going to be hard for them. One is against Girona and the other is against Real Sociedad.

I understand that Barcelona coach Xavi has said that he is not going to leave Barcelona as the manager, but it is still going to be a great motivation for him if he can finish in the second position instead of third. Even though it does not make much difference on paper. But the biggest thing is finishing the season behind Girona might actually demotivate them. Barcelona does not have a good amount of money, they also do not have the best coach in the world, they are also losing the La Liga title this season.  But they will have to accept it and make the best out of it as much as they can.
116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: April 28, 2024, 02:47:08 PM
In the Champions League it is quite difficult to predict because there are many surprises that occur and in this semifinal round only strong teams remain who have beaten many other teams so they can be in the semifinals.
Bayern Munich is not a team that can be underestimated, Bayern Munich is one of Europe's top teams, regardless of their downturn in the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich's success in getting to the semifinals is enough to prove that they have strong enough strength.

In terms of percentages, I don't put Real Madrid too much as a favorite to beat Bayern Munich, I'm still quite sure that this match will be quite fierce because this is a match between two of Europe's top teams, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
Bayern Munich made it to the semi-finals of the Champions League although they were never favourites at all, as well as Dortmund who managed to beat Atletico Madrid to reach the semi-finals this season, both teams showed us how the atmosphere in the Champions League is very different from the domestic league, so when a team like Bayern Munich performs poorly in the league of course in the Champions League they will play quite well because the knockout stages applied in the Champions League so far, this season maybe only PSG and Madrid are favourites to reach the Champions League final but I think there will be surprises that might make this season's Champions League finish far from our expectations.

Madrid are an incredible team so it's no wonder they are favourites to win the Champions League this season, but I think facing Bayern Munich will certainly be a challenge for Ancelotti's squad because Munich currently have high motivation to win trophies after their failure in the league, honestly for now I dare not say if Munich will lose easily to Madrid,  Because in my opinion Tuchel has certainly prepared his squad to face the pressure of Madrid in the first leg.

You know what is going to be funny?
If Bayern Munich and Dortmund face each other in the finals. Because I think that is going to be the most unexpected final in the Champions League.

Anyway, the most expected final that should be happening is probably between Real Madrid and PSG.
Because I do not think Real Madrid is going to lose against Bayern Munich and I also believe most of the people also expect that as well.
At the same time, no way Dortmund should actually win against PSG right?

we have seen the performance from Dortmund in the Bundesliga competition. it is pretty inconsistent, to be honest. So I do not think they will suddenly find consistency in their performance and play really well in the Champions League competition. Munich mostly because of the coach that they have. I do not think he is good enough. If we compare both the Squad, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid, I do not think we will find much difference. But the coaches have a lot of differences. And the coach of Real Madrid is far superior in tactics.
117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: in future are you hoping to see some countries in Africa legalis bitcoin. on: April 28, 2024, 12:39:39 PM
There’s only two options in the end, either they will legalize it because majority of the other countries are already into it, or they will continue to neglect bitcoin and eventually left behind by other countries. Well, I don’t think they won’t be competitive at all. Of course, if the government leaders will focus on the citizens welfare, then they will prioritize bitcoin without any doubt, regardless if they are trying to impose an authoritarian type of government.
A optimistic side and a pessimistic side indeed. I guess that is what the country people are feeling at the moment. Keep on with your work by spreading the awareness and information about crypto in your locality, it needs to be well ingrained among the natives that crypto is nothing but a moneytary method, bad people have used it for bad things, but it is essentially a good thing for the world.

If the message goes through strongly enough, eventually the government will turn and legalize the use of bitcoin or put it in grey area like many other countries.

But we need to spread the word in the clearest way, I mean any method of making money will have wins and losses, and cryptocurrency is no exception. Don't just spread the word about the huge profits that cryptocurrencies bring and hide the risks that it brings to them just because we want cryptocurrencies to become popular.

In addition, leading cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin, in addition to being an investment asset, we can also use it to protect our assets. With its decentralized nature, it will help us improve privacy and can make us our own bank, we do not need to depend on third parties to preserve our assets.

With the spot bitcoin ETF, the easiest ways to add bitcoin to ones portfolio is seamlessly assured and there won't be all the need to own exchange accounts, digital wallets, private keys and bother about network transfers or the fees to pay, that may be varying at the time.
I wouldn't recommend bitcoin ETF. research about the real bitcoin and buy the real bitcoin, learn about private keys, learn how to hold it yourself in an airgapped wallet, learn about its security.

What you say is not wrong, investing in a bitcoin ETF is no different from investing in stocks, we don't actually own bitcoins or have full control over our assets. But you also need to understand that not everyone is qualified and knowledgeable enough to learn about private keys, non-custodial wallets...and we cannot deny that thanks to the emergence of bitcoin ETFs, bitcoin is gradually becoming more popular with everyone. Many people hesitate to invest in bitcoin because of concerns about its legality, their wallets being hacked...and do not invest in bitcoin. But now with the emergence of ETFs, they can invest in bitcoin without the technical barriers they were concerned about.

Believe it or not, the existence of altcoins is why this space is crowdy today, many people cares only about altcoins and it favours them, the difference is we can never know how smart and strong the team of a new project is, either its going to fail or survive is hard to know, but still, the future builds are only possible on altcoins right now. Its a fact that I have learned to accept.

I agree with you, I believe that without altcoins, the cryptocurrency industry would not be able to grow big and attract new investors every year. If you conduct a survey of new investors. I believe up to 90% of them entered this market because they were attracted by the x100, x1000 growth of meme projects, shitcoins being created, Bitcoin was never on their radar.

This is true and what is happening, but maximalist bitcoin investors are trying to deny this and they claim that it is bitcoin that attracts new investors, while altcoins are ruining reputation of the cryptocurrency industry.

As of now, my portfolio is over 70% bitcoin but I don't want to lie that investing in altcoins is bad, it's not as bad as many people are saying.
120  Economy / Speculation / Re: Post halving investing strategy. on: April 28, 2024, 08:42:59 AM
With the halving event come and gone,  we are now left to determine if the market now is going as predicted or not, with the reduction in mining rewards, which makes the supply of BTC low and demand high, investors can take advantages of this and adopt long positions and also invest in other altcoins,
After all the hypes leading to the previous halving event which drastically surge the price of Bitcoin at that time, investors are meant to invest before the halving and then sell after the demand, because demand Wil be high and supply will be low, which will aid the surge in price of BTC, thereby putting BTC in the bull direction, which will in turn affect other altcoins,
So in summary investing in BTC at this point in time should be our priority and other promising altcoins. And also taking Risk management strategies just incase the market becomes unfavourable.

Isn't it obvious though that no matter what cycle we are in, majority of the members here prioritized investing their money on Bitcoin and not on some promising altcoin. Definitely the demand will shoot off as we go, after the halving, predictions are 6 digits and there could be guesses that it could even reach $200k.

Not much of a difference I guess even if we are now in the post-halving. DCA, accumulate Bitcoin as much as you can HODL till next year. This strategy has been proven already, so it's just a rinse and repeat process for us. Anyhow, I don't have anything against those who invest on altcoin, it can even give them huge profits as compare to Bitcoin, but still though, they are greater risk for investors as compare to BTC.
The greater the risk, the greater the profit when investing in altcoins. To be honest, altcoins are riskier but I think if we invest at the right time, we can minimize the risk but still have the potential for high returns. If we invest in altcoins during the bear season, it is too risky because many projects can go bankrupt and disappear if the bear season is too harsh. But for projects that can survive the approaching bear and bull season, investing in altcoins will significantly reduce risk.

As we know, during the bull season, the entire market grows very well, so we can consider investing in altcoins in the upcoming bull season. And the important thing is that altcoins should only be used for speculation and if profitable, you should take profits, never consider it a long-term investment. I believe that if we have the knowledge, have a plan and stick to our plan, investing in altcoins will be very interesting and not as bad as many people think.
