101  Economy / Speculation / Re: The price is below 400$, What next? on: May 06, 2016, 07:29:50 PM
You will make a lot money, but only if you also have a lot coins and a lot patience. If you have both, then you will make more than decent profits if you hold your coins for the long term.

I have very few coins. But I have patience. I believe the bitcoin price will rise a lot in the next few decades.

what you are quoting is an old comment and if i am not mistaken the drop by that time was because of the FUD which was spread by hearn and the price was pushed below 400.
right now it looks strong and the chances of drop gets lower every day.

That's right, we don't think that Bitcoin's price will drop again at least in the nearest future, however it's expected that it will increase highly after the next halving, so holding coins nowadays could being profitable.

The price is $444 now. It might drop below $420. But it will recover soon as the demand for bitcoin is growing.

Well okey. And which coin is this?

I think it is the Monero. It is truely anonymous and it has a very good community support and developments.

no it won't go to 250$, it will rise above 400$ and near 450$ now, that was just a pump and dump,  price will go up again anyway now, and that it awesome

The price dropped from $450 recently to $396. It seems the price will be around $420 for the next few months.

well i think next will be rise, typical pump and dump, then repeat, same will happen now i am sure, should drop abround 30$ next week

It has been like this for ages. I don't know Bitcoin any different. But I guess we'll see the price rise to $460-$470 before seeing another dump like we have today. The sentiment right now is great which might push the price even higher if everything goes well.

The next dump already happened. The price did not rise to $460 and it was dumped to $410. What is going on?

Right now the price is not important.
What's important is how we solve block size issue. It makes no sense there is no solution yet.

I heard the Core team is going to increase the block size in April in their road map. But that is with SegWit.

the price of one bitcoin is lower than 400 at this moment and it can keep on dropping at a very fast pace if we would switch to classics from core so i would be pretty careful about deciding on whether to buy some bitcoins or not

If the Classic wins, the price will drop fast. So the Core should adopt the 2MB as soon as possible after through test.

Right now it's unsure where the price is going. I would wait and see if there is some more information.
This is way to risky for me.

The market will recover from the recent sell off. When the stock market drops more, some people will come to buy more bitcoins.
