I've noticed since the Bradley Manning / Wikileaks thing started that the conservatives that hate our government so much are the first to jump to defend it and call Bradley a traitor. Our government is the one committing war crimes in our name. Bradley simply aired their dirty laundry. He's a hero and the government will continue to spew mountains of propaganda to make you hate him. He's just a kid with a conscience. If you can't see that you're probably more of traitor to freedom than you say he is.

Almost all of the alt-coins are there are going to be a waste of time. They're being created to take advantage of people who get super excited about different things and then get pumped and dumped.
Be careful about wasting time with too many alt coins.
I bet thats the kind of thinking many had about Bitcoins in the beginning but look where it is now. I am not bashing you in anyway, I just feel like qualifying your statement. People should really research what their going into because maybe one of the Alt-coins will have a boom like BTC. Agreed. Many alt-coins out there have great potential and some-not all will hit it off big. Nope. |

The poor will depend on the system. No way around it when you're born in a mud hole and told you won't be shit EVER. Not saying this is always the case but I'm surely seen it with my own eyes.. Most people that start at the bottom stay there because:
1. their born into poverty
2. lack education
3. skill-less and unmotivated
The third being a direct effect of the previous.
Give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day. Teach a man how to fish, he'll eat for a lifetime. Give a man a fish every day, he'll depend on your good graces to survive. You need a place to fish to begin with. |

It's possible that SHA256 could become compromised. Bitcoin can be changed to another algorithm if necessary. There's been some threads in the past about it.

I'm in prime wind power territory. Anyone want to invest in HashFarm? Buy some ASICs, a couple turbines, and sell extra electricity back to the grid to buy more ASICs. Use it to show energy conscious skeptics that we're not all "wasting" power. Who's with me?
