101  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price fall to Zero? Possible or not? on: April 13, 2021, 11:50:28 PM
I guess, those might be a possibility, but even so it's kinda impossible for it to reach zero. Maybe it will be worthless, but it might still have little value, not suddenly turned into zero.
And i guess, bitcoin is still so strong, even
Please read to understand the concept and the potential of Bitcoin with the advantage block halving because the chance for Bitcoin to be worthless is zero even before the institutional investors join the crypto investment.

without many option of using it to trade into goods or services
There are many options of using Bitcoin to trade for goods and services if you're well informed about the crypto activities created by PayPal, other online stores, and payment apps/platforms.

and bitcoin getting banned in a lot of countries, bitcoin still can rise up high up until now. There's no other cryptocurrency that seems to be able to overtake bitcoin position too for now. So i guess no need to think about it too much for now.
The government doesn't have power/control over Bitcoin its impossible for them to ban Bitcoin but they can place a certain restriction on its uses.
102  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What is the cheapest way to buy bitcoin? on: April 13, 2021, 09:39:31 PM
If you live in the USA and cant buy it on binance.

(Binance totally locked up my account for some reason and wont get back with me, which is whatever because I didn't have any crypto on it anyways... and I guess they think I'm trying to do something against their rules as they wont let me create another account)
Yes, Binance is one of the cheapest way to buy Bitcoin in the US and if Binance locked up your account for some reason it mainly because you sign up on Binance.com instead of Binance.us but if you canll have problem with that best alternative are cashapp, coinbase, kraken or coinmama.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Taking the opportunity, or nothing ! on: April 13, 2021, 09:11:04 PM
There were ICO, IEO, IDO. Know what's next ? Security token offering - STO. The biggest player here is https://stobox.io/ Pay attention and accumulate $STBU now

All this altcoin are shitcoin, they just create some characteristics which they blended with sweet words to hype the project so they investors can be interested in the project and their plan is to make drift away from Bitcoin investment.
IEO, ITO, STO etc are just token created by people who missed the early adoption of Bitcoin.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BNB price on: April 12, 2021, 03:00:16 PM
The hype of CZ Binance on twitter is working perfectly and I saw that the ETH is just 3x ahead of BNB, this mean to me that hey are aiming to replace ETH on top and they are already delivering the good prices in the market, this is possible to happen soon.

We are able to reach $600 in just a week, now we're looking forward to hit $1000 this quarter. BNB is indeed on of the best altcoin today, they keep on growing, can't way for the next tweet of CZ Binance about the "not a financial advice" series.

At this point, you can't really compare BNB with ETH. Right now, BNB is mostly known as an exchange token and not many projects are opting for the Binance chain. ERC-20 Blockchain is still preferred by the vast majority of the projects (irrespective of the sky high fees). In the smart contract sector, it will take a long time for BNB to catch up with Ethereum. So these talks about BNB replacing Ethereum sounds a bit premature for me.
This is the unsophistication habit some investors had when a certain coin or their holding makes a unique effort in terms of an increase in price, they tend to compare it another coin in the market without examining the fact and features that will make it possible or impossible to happen but I guess is their own way of creating hype.

Having said that, ETH is like Bitcoin of altcoin market and shouldn't be compare with BNB. Besides, if people survey very well they will know that CZ also integrated the idea created by ETH and once the ETH2.0 last phase is executed the chance BNB had over ETH will be over.
105  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoiners Show Me Your Scars!! on: April 12, 2021, 02:32:36 PM
Most times, what we hear about bitcoin is usually the good stuff, especially in an environment such as this, I mean its hard to say anything other than. Every time there is a bull run the media suddenly changes its opinion about bitcoin and are in favor but as soon as there is a correction, there comes the attacks.
That's people for you, when you are doing something good or they are getting some free gifts from you they will say something nice about you but the moment you seized from giving more gift they manage to say something about you and forget that you're the same person who was once nice to them.
The same goes for the Bitcoin market, you'll see different people including the forum high rank members losing their trust in Bitcoin.

But truth be told we have all had good/bad experiences in our journey in the crypto space.
There are two categories of people in the crypto space; the wounded and the "scarred";
Yes, that's how things works in every investment.

The "wounded" are those people who have had it rough, probably got scammed during their first bitcoin trial or lost a significant amount trading and are bitter about it. Some are unfortunate to have invested in fake ICOs.
All this can be prevent only if newbies listen to security provided to them on this forum and also do adequate research before invest in any project.

others are those who bought bitcoin and somehow forgot their password. These are "wounded" people.
Crypto is not for uncautious and lazy people because almost every crypto wallet shows the options alert message when creating a new wallet "if you lost your seeds phrase/private keys you lost your coin."
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All Eyes on BTC Dominance! on: April 12, 2021, 01:25:53 PM
What's the lowest do you guys think BTC dominance will touch down to? 50% or lower?
Footing the information provided by market capital Bitcoin dominance is currently 54.10% and in the last previous halving market Bitcoin dominance dump to about 45% if I could remember correctly so I don't expect it to go below 40% dominance level.

Once btc rallies to next leg up to $70k then will that mean btc dominance will recover and from there will alts go sideways or go down in price?

- Once btc stops at $70k and go sideways between $60-70k like it is doing now between $50-60k then will btc lose dominance and its alt season again for another month or longer right till btc takes the next leg up to $80k right?
We're dealing in a volatile market and it hard to tell the momentum of the market price since every thing I determine by the level of market demand and supply but it Bitcoin shoot up some altcoins will allow it to trend while some will be caught off guard.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If BNB will reach $500, what's next? on: April 12, 2021, 12:01:14 PM
It's just Binance that's behind BNB really eager to make the value of this coin going up. All those efforts including burning coin, launchpad crowdfunding using BNB, all the while developing an alternative blockchain to ETH called BSC now it's just getting more and more popular it's just obvious why it gets pumped again and again. Many people also think it deserve the value of $1000, there are BNB fanatics aswell but if you ask me the main cause of pump maybe I'd say it's because the launchpad crowdfunding that uses BNB like a lot, also there's staking etc.

The only thing that holding it back though, the fact that it's centralized, it could go south like anytime.
The centralized in nature of the BNB is not holding its surges in price or support back because 95% of all cryptocurrency investors are after profit and the last time I check BNB was leading the exchange token market. However, it free coin benefit involved in holding BNB. Though the coin have reached the $500 price range said by the OP but I still believe the $1000 price is still impossible in this current bullish market and if it happens there will be some price correction.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My first two ICOs will be Mina and ECO. Good idea? on: April 12, 2021, 11:44:39 AM
Just so you know, your plan about invest in ICO is terrible because we are in bullish market season and the best thing every cryptocurrency investors should do is to invest in long existing coins that are doing well in the market, have good market data, and real life product which will make it gain the attention of the crypto community in a long run. However, most of this newly created coin will only try to get the attention of investors for now and major investors won't dare to invest in it.
to do this when you are just starting, of course, it is more reliable, but in order to make money quickly and increase your bankroll for investing in the beginning, it is better to take a risk.
When an investor is still a newbie it reliable for him to invest in an existing coin but if he want to make a quick profit which will approximately increase his bankroll it better to invest in an altcoin? Please explain what you particular because altcoin investment is never for once a good investment for newbies and having the thought about making quick profits is what causes greedy in most newbies.

110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Transactions Fees x Gambling on: April 12, 2021, 02:22:07 AM
I prefer to use altcoins for funding the gambling accounts, the top cryptocurrencies have insane withdrawal and transaction fees. XRP or LTC has an average fee and it is faster to top-up an account or request a withdrawal of less than $0.2. For gambling platforms ask either BTC or ETH, I use Kraken exchange that has the lowest Gas fee for withdrawing from the exchange.

I've never use kraken yet, can you give us an idea how much is the fee for bitcoin and Ethereum withdrwal respectively?

less than 1 usd is okay, paying 10 usd and higher is really like stealing our money if we are not really gambling with some big amount, we want to save as much as we can so we can still have our desired bankroll after sending money to a certain gambling site.
Kraken is the best and cost-friendly exchange unless you trade more than $1000 during the week. The ETH withdrawal fee is around $3 last time when I needed ETH to fill up Duelbits account while the other alternatives have huge transaction costs. Just send altcoins to Kraken and trade for ETH, pay $3 which is higher than $10 on other exchanges and you are good to go Smiley
Their withdrawal fees are maybe quite cheap for Ethereum but for Bitcoin they cost almost 10USD. Currently you need 15 000 sats to make a withdrawal in BTC from a Kraken account, I don't think it's cheaper than most of exchanges currently.
https://support.kraken.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000767986-Cryptocurrency-withdrawal-fees-and-minimums
Each exchange has there own advantages and disadvantages but I think luno and binance seem to have competition withdrawn fee. However, Litecoin is the best altcoin to use these days and Bitcoin can also be another option if send from personal Bech wallet when the Bitcoin network fee is down especially when it the weekend.

111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wyoming legalized online sports betting - crypto wagers allowed too on: April 12, 2021, 01:49:27 AM
As Elon said when fiat currency show 0% interest only a fool won't look elsewhere and for the Wyoming 33rd Governor to legalized cryptocurrency for online sports bet he totally understands the better the integration will give to his state that why he legalized it and if we think about some restriction gamblers experience in the US, I think Wyoming legalized crypto for gambling site a reasonable settlement.
Still the gambling site needs to register in the US to be able to accept bets in cryptocurrencies. As long as the government gets the money they do not have problems with what you do with your money, be it gambling or anything else  Cheesy.
Right from the beginning no online gambling site that is not registered with the US government is allowed to provide service to the US customer and it not the gambling site alone because the same thing applied to other businesses.

Need to know more about the situation as many sites restrict players from the US and i do not think this news will make any difference to those restrictions that are imposed but it is a start.
The news will make some difference since the US have the highest number of cryptocurrency users in the world and the legalization of crypto for an online betting site may increase the number of betting site providing service to the US.

113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Thinking more what should I buy more? on: April 11, 2021, 04:26:55 PM
If you hold bitcoin and wont pay high fees for swaping, wont do any KYC. There will be DeFi for bitcoiners. It is Sovryn and the developer is edan yago. Pomp also put his btc on it. It will be the next big Token DeFi. Maybe more valueble then any DeFi. Its real compatitor is stacks

I agree that sov is worth looking at, good thing I was among participants so I can hold my little sov for a good price, the first defi on bitcoin definitely worth everyone's attention not to mention pompliano huge investment and his unknown syndicate, am very bullish with sov as well as stc, they have had a very successful ieo sale with good results.
I respect Pompliano because he's one of the most influential Bitcoin enthusiasts, he has defended Bitcoin on several occasions and also calmed to have invested almost all his fortune in Bitcoin some years ago. But this dont change the fact that all altcoin are shitcoins.

I also read that the SOV project raised about $10Million but all this cant be used to judge the future success of a project and going for an already listed project that performs well in the market is always the best decision.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How to predict a coin is going to be listed in one of the top exchanges? on: April 11, 2021, 03:58:15 PM
There is no way of predicting it not unless you directly know someone working for that crypto exchange or part of the team core of a project you won't really have any way of knowing if their cryptocurrencies will be listed in an exchange of course what I have said also doesn't have any guarantee of happening as things can turn around while the duration of the launch. I don't even see any advantage in this I don't see any benefit of you knowing in advance where the cryptocurrency will be listed.
There are so many ways to know a coin will be listed on a top exchange without knowing anyone among the project team.
1) The white paper can tell some certain exchange a new coin will be listed though we have a situation where some project team lied about the white paper.
2) Community demand.
3) How successful the project is during the initial offering.
115  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis of Bitcoin and other Altcoins on: April 11, 2021, 03:47:04 PM
This behavior of bitcoins is abnormal in my opinion and bitcoins are used to cash in on oil, weapons and drugs, and bitcoins will return to 55,000 and have a debt to channel 55.
Bitcoin trading volume is getting less and less every day. Yesterday it was 77 billion dollars and today it is 56 billion dollars.
Market dominance was 70% a month ago, 56% yesterday and 53% today
What do you think these numbers mean?
First, if you believe in what antiBitcoin people/governments said about Bitcoin being used for weapons, drugs, etc then you're meant to join this forum or participate in any crypto investment because Bitcoin is not totally anonymous while cash can be used to make anonymous payment locally just like we watch in movies. Besides, the last time I checked cash is used mostly by those drugs and weapon dealer,s not Bitcoin.

Having said that the decrease in the number of Bitcoin dominance in the market is just a number because after the implementation of DeFi and then NFT alot of new projects are created and added to the market cap every day, this the reason why Bitcoin dominance decrease.

Do not sell any currency you have under any circumstances because you will regret it badly.
Maybe but it depends on the particular coin invested in because some coins will fail/dead when it market bloodbath which will happen after the bullish market is over.

Well, this decrease in bitcoin dominance and trading volume means that many people are selling their bitcoins and 90% of them are professional. And they are waiting for Bitcoin to fall to the range of $ 55,000, eventually $ 53,600, to the other currencies below, and then they will brutally attack other currencies to buy. and it can really be said that they sweep the floor of the market.
That's doesn't mean they are waiting for Bitcoin to fail, there's something we call the setting of goal in the cryptocurrency market, and when the goal is achieved the best thing is to sell maybe thatd what we're seeing now.
116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have $150,000 US dollars and my target is a 10x gain. Stop me going all in now on: April 10, 2021, 08:16:25 PM
1.  Starting today on April 10, 2021 if I invested 150k in bitcoin, how much do the gurus expect me to have in 1, 2, 5, and 10 years? Like would any idiot who just invested today and didn't sell expect a 5x increase within the next 10 years?
Invest in Bitcoin for years while expecting 10x is not an idiot strategy because its something alot of people has been over the years but it good to understand the market halving season.

2.  I would use dollar cost averaging, but over what time horizon?  Invest 150k over the next six months?  Or just invest it all today since we all know it's going up?
Time horizon doesn't come to play, the market trend is what you need to put into consideration cause the best time to invest is when people panic sell.

3.  I could withdraw the old retirement fund and get the initial investment up to 300k.  Would you go all in using that?  I would not have much of a backup plan for retirement if this is the case, but like I said I have a high risk profile.  I do believe this is once in a lifetime.
Going all in every investment setting is a wrong decision and I will advise you to invest 75K while you set aside 75k to buy more when there's some dump price in the market. Mind you, the first 75K was for long term investment while the 75K is for short/seizing the market opportunity and selling at profit price.

4. If I want to pursue some alt coins, and again, I have a high risk profile, what % mix would you recommend?  33% alt-coins and 66% bitcoin, or 50-50, etc?
Altcoin are high manipulated coins but since you have a high-risk profile, you can invest 20% in altcoin like BNB (keep on  Binance to get some free coins which you can sell asap), ETH, Link, and DOT.
117  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can anyone tell me what company this btc address belongs to? on: April 10, 2021, 07:04:08 PM
It is very difficult to find an address with thousands of blocks and transactions.
It's not difficult to find an address byt it's difficult to know the wallet owner but from what i see about the wallet it's an exchange hot wallet and I don' know know why the OP is Interested in knowing what exhcange the wallet belong to.

that's why bitcoin transactions are called anonim ..
Bitcoin was actually pseudonymous not Anonymous.

Until recently, I personally had never come up with a way to detect such a problem. maybe I will listen to the seniors to give their knowledge in this thread
I think some crypto currency security analysis like chain could do it.
118  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19, Lockdown and repercussions on: April 08, 2021, 11:14:37 PM
The pandemic totally changes everything and makes us see the world as a different thing but one thing I understand about complying with the total lockdown and dealing with the financial and the mental repercussions caused by the pandemic/lockdown is that it better to stay alive than get kill by the virus.
The only way I depressed about the financial and mental repercussions is by taking an online class and looking for an online job that will bring something good for me. In the meantime, the Greece government ought to make a huge step in getting the virus vaccine.

Yes, because of this coronavirus, there has been a lockdown for this epidemic of corona virus all over the world and the world has changed a lot for this lockdown. The economic and mental conditions have changed a lot, especially education. Every country has taken initiative to make up for this loss.  I think it would have been a good initiative to take the class. It would have been better if all the countries had arranged online jobs in the midst of this lockdown. Now the world has started applying the most common vaccine. Hopefully, the acquaintance will return to normal.
It will be long before the acquaintance will return to normal because the damage done by the virus is not small and none of the current vaccines developed were authorized for use by WHO which mean we still have a long way to go. Meanwhile, it will be good if country arrange online jobs but online jobs is still not good for all job classification.
119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government ban on crypto on: April 08, 2021, 09:25:10 PM
Bitcoin is normal investment someone can adventure into, that's the reason most prominent people in the society likely to go into it currently, so government banning cryptocurrency, whenever I hear such I laughs because I noticed that government can't ban crypto because people in government don't have power over crypto, they can only restrict it movement or popularity in their country not in any other country, restrictions is different from  bad, people misunderstood the point between ban and restrictions, Ban simply means it can never exist again across the continent, while restrictions means eradication for a specific place or a country, which other countries will partake on it with willingness, so the difference is very clear.
I believe the lack of sophistication of some people about the major concept of Bitcoin is the reason why some people thought the government can actually ban Bitcoin and the last time I checked Bitcoin posed total liberation from the government. Besides, people from countries like China still trade/invest in Bitcoin despite their government stance about it.
120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fate or lack of control - Gambling on: April 08, 2021, 04:53:10 PM
First and foremost using gambling as a source of income is never advisable and it's one of the first Dont's of gambling because it can cause collateral damage.
Of course it would be wrong if a gambler considers gambling as a place for a source of income. If so, they should be consulted to change their mindset at gambling. But I don't want to blame those who are used to it, they will shape their own destiny on gambling.
This is not about blaming them but inform them of the possibilities of what will happen to them because they will only shape their destiny in a negative if they are not informed about what will happen to them through the lack of control in gambling.

However, I said earlier gambling is not for everybody because it was meant for people who can deal with the risk involved in the game not people who will turn it into an addict or blame the provider for his own mistakes.
I think it is true, for activities that risk money, they must consider the risk and accept the consequence. Gambling is a place where our money is always on the verge of defeat and victory. Skill only minority supporter, luck is expected and decisive.
So there is no harm if they are used to it, because with them being used to gambling I'm sure they must have their own way when losing at gambling. Therefore, when they have control then making gambling as a source of income might be fine for those who are used to it but indeed, the most important thing is not to make gambling a source of income because after all gambling is just for fun with any outcome that will be obtained.
You make a point but this is about gamblers who are used to gambling but lack control and the last time I checked those gamblers don't have their own way whenever they lost the game. However, no individual that uses gambling as a source of income doesn't experience trauma at some point.
