What is causing it to rise so quickly
I don't think it's rising quickly. Actually this is a very slow rise and should be much, much faster!

Definitely rising too fast. Too much volatility keeps the masses from switching to BC.

However, I'm thinking its a pump and dump, easy to do in such a small market. Just buy the price up, then offload your coins in the bull hysteria

Yeah, thats what I did past week. Stupid me..

Would the advent of other crypto currencies not cause inflation in a way?

If you look carefully you'll notice that image is composed from several pictures. That's because they were shot under microscope (maybe bonding machine optics).

AKK. There is a lot missing.

While not diced, the picture of the full wafer does show the separation of the individual dice.. They look awfully 'square' to me.. This single die looks rectangular.  Optical dillusion, perhaps?

Enigma

Strange indeed. I count about 35 by 35.
Maybe that´s why the image appeared split in the post?
No EXIF data again.

Shame on me, I messed this up. Sorry. Back to noob.
108  Economy / Auctions / Re: 850 (or more) ASICMiner shares for sale. 1 day auction! on: February 25, 2013, 03:00:35 PM
Anybody got their shares already? Quite a few are popping up on Bitfunder.

@ Goat: Your spelling "betatester" instead of "Betatester" in auction #1 list won´t cause any probs, right?

Meine 2 Pfennich...

Closer to what is the question. Something has to give...  Wink

Closer to the point where demand for refund exceeds new order´s value and BFL site goes off for maintenance. Should occur about March 15. It is embarrasing to see every poop of hot air acclaimed in BFL forum. Reminds me of Iphone rollouts, but Iphones are real at least.

BFL_Josh - 02-18-2013 06:25 PM -- Ok, I just got a call.. I guess the guy that we normally talk to is off for Presidents Day... forgot it was a holiday today, so that's why we haven't gotten a call back from
him. We have a call in elsewhere, but it's getting a bit late now. However, presuming the chips are done tomorrow, we'll be able to test the chip out before it's packaged, so we should know pretty much everything we need to know fairly soon and start the process on the other 6 wafers and the bulk of the chips after that.

Do you smell the coffee?
117  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Have any ASICs been delivered and currenctly in use for mining? on: February 18, 2013, 11:29:20 AM
There are supposedly 2 Avalon Asics prototypes around.
Butterfly Labs has 6000 chips, which should give approximately 6 THs, in a bumping facility to contact chips to the boards or so. Looks like a homecraft-in-my-garage-operation. No news since Feb 14. I doubt they will ship anything before late summer.
