102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do your parents invest in bitcoin ? on: June 01, 2024, 01:30:19 PM
where I live, many parents invest in land or build rental houses. If people found out that we were directing their thoughts to investing in digital currency, they would be laughed at and they wouldn't want to hear about it because for them it was just a hallucination or just empty talk.

That is the situation in most places where elder people have no interest in anything that is done online because they believe it is something useless. I have often heard elderly people saying that the internet and everything in it is only here to keep us away from the world and our lives because they see people using mobile phones and other electronic devices all the time and have less to no time for their families.

This is one of the reasons why it is difficult to convince a person from old times to accept cryptocurrencies and make investments in them because they would say that they would rather invest that much money in something that has a physical existence instead of doing it digitally on something that they can't even have or see.
103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin been backed by Dollar then what will happen if the Dollar collapsed? on: June 01, 2024, 12:58:30 PM
It would be better for you and your brain if you do some research twice a day instead of thinking about things that don't make much sense.

Satoshi didn't create Bitcoin to make anyone rich, and you should know this if you have some sense of understanding that Bitcoin didn't have the same value when it was created nor did it have this many people interested in it. There were only a few people including the developers and testers who started using Bitcoin initially, and then it started gaining attention because of how it was designed.

Those who became rich because of Bitcoin deserved it because they believed in the technology and adopted it when it didn't have any value at all unlike most of us who are into it after seeing how it can provide good profit.
104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't forget to HODL your BTC on: June 01, 2024, 12:45:16 PM
Title.

Whales are going to start selling like last cycle.

Don't fall for the trap. Do NOT sell.

Bitcoin is freedom. Do not sell your freedom. Hodl it until fiat goes away entirely. Give it to your grandkids if you have to. Do not sell your freedom.

I don't understand how we can get freedom if we are not selling at all. To use the benefits associated with it, we will either have to sell or use our assets or you will only be keeping them forever, giving them to your kids and grandkids. How will Bitcoin provide us freedom if we keep holding it forever? It's freedom when it is used, and if we are honest with ourselves, we should know that fiat is not going anywhere, at least for very soon.

The world might become completely digitalized, currencies might turn into digital currencies and the concept of cash might disappear, but fiat will still be there, the government and traditional financial institutions will always have their control over us because we are compelled to use their currencies even if we don't want to.

107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Converting bitcoin to fiat without problems on: May 29, 2024, 06:28:36 PM
Some people messaged my telegram account and they told me that they buy bitcoins and they are ready to pay any currency against bitcoins. I don't have any bitcoins right now so I can't tell you how to sell bitcoins and convert them to local currency but maybe I can convert my bitcoins to local currency when I have bitcoins through those who messaged me on telegram.

You wouldn't want to do that, my friend. Telegram is the most famous place for scammers, and you shouldn't believe anything you see, hear, or receive there, make sure that you are not interacting with unknown people who try to approach you with offers and stuff in your DM because they don't go around and help people or help them make money but they are looking for preys and vulnerable people whom they can scam and run away with their funds.

Whenever you need to convert your assets to fiat, make sure you use a trusted P2P platform where your assets will be escrowed until you receive the funds in your account, and then you can release the assets yourself so that you don't get scammed. Don't try to use online services offered by unknown people.
108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin become better on: May 29, 2024, 06:01:38 PM
There is no doubt that a politician can make big promises and say many things before the elections only to get more votes from people who have these things in mind and would support the politician who promises to work on these things. Now these politicians understand that Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are a trending topic and there are a lot of people who are in support of these things, so if they show support for Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, those people will support them in the elections.

Politicians play a lot of mind games, they can tell a lot of lies and make a lot of fake promises to the people only for personal benefits and gains, and as you said, they would forget their promises and claims after the elections. This is at least what happens mostly in third-world countries, I'm not sure about developed nations though.
109  Other / Meta / Re: Is this forum getting worse and worse? on: May 29, 2024, 05:21:42 PM
It doesn't seem to me that the forum is any worse than it was a few years ago

Couldn't agree more. The forum had started to become a place for shitposters to post nonsense and earn a lot of money for it when bounty campaigns were at their peak, accepting all rank accounts and paying them tokens for making nonsensical posts all around the forum. The merit system came as a savior and we have seen the forum changing for good since then. Of course, there is no existence of perfection in anything in this world, but it's way better than before if you ask me.

Some sections of the forum such as Bitcoin Discussion and Altcoin Discussion were highly spammed during those times, you wouldn't even blink you eyes and there would be 2 pages of posts in a newly created thread in any of the two sections I've mentioned, that's how bad the situation had become.
110  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading reliable here? on: May 29, 2024, 05:10:18 PM
If you don't have the idea on reliable trading exchange market, i will advise you to follow some of the links sent to you through this trend to confirm if they are genuine before proceeding in your crypto trading.

It will be good, if you can use small money to trade before You will begin to use big money to trade in that exchange market because you sound like someone that is ready to use big money to trade to make big profit.

You can use your phone or laptop to find some reliable trading exchange website, which you will like to achieve your goal because if anything happen to your coins there, you will not hodl people responsible for the loss because they only suggest the exchange market to you but you have the final say.

Even though you are right about what you are saying, this topic isn't related to exchange platforms where people can trade cryptocurrencies but OP asked about a service where people trade things and the platform is accepting Bitcoin, now he wanted to know whether the service is reliable or not if someone wants to buy something from them.

As far as I can understand, services that you don't know much about shouldn't be used when there are finances involved because you can't take the risk, but as said by other members earlier, one might want to try them out but only with a small amount so that even if the service disappoints, there isn't a lot of money on line to be lost.
111  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop paying money to learn trading when you can learn it yourself on: May 29, 2024, 04:41:51 PM
Yes, having guidance in matters like this is really needed by everyone when trading in the cryptocurrency market. We can share information with each other about indicators that are often used in trading. We can grasp this information much more quickly compared to learning by ourselves or self-taught which takes quite a long time compared to having a mentor.

It depends on the mind of someone and their ability to grasp ideas. If a person has a sharp mind and is a quick learner who doesn't take a lot of time to grasp ideas and stuff then they can learn everything by themselves without needing a lot of time, but if someone doesn't have such abilities and they find it hard to understand simple concepts, then they are surely going to need someone who can guide them and be their mentor for each step they take.

To be honest, trading is difficult for someone who isn't very fast, doesn't have a quick reaction time and has the ability to make decisions quickly because in trading, at a lot of occasions, a trader will need to make decisions very quickly or they will miss a trade that could be very beneficial for them.
112  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Waking up a dead or concluded discussion in a topic on: May 29, 2024, 11:39:59 AM
I do come across threads that have been inactive for more than four months and all of a sudden you will just see a user make a reply on such post that have been inactive for a long time and possibly the discussion is the OP looks concluded from previous replies of other users and this is mostly done by newbies so is it necessary to wake up an inactive thread or the OP is to be blamed for not locking the thread when the thread became inactive and the information required by the OP has been ascertained and if it is a case where such discussions in the OP arises in the future can that same thread be reactivated or it will be better to create a new thread?.

Mostly newbies without much knowledge and experience do such things because they don't know how they can check the times of the threads started and the last posts were posted long back, so they write what they feel about the topic without realizing that they are waking up a dead thread from the past.

We don't need to blame anyone, but if we think that a thread has served its purpose and it should be locked but the OP isn't active anymore in the thread, we can report it to the moderators and if moderators think it deserves to be locked, they will lock it up, but if they think it should stay open, there is nothing wrong with people making new posts in it for the sake of continuing the discussion.

If you have hints that you are talking with a scammer, then the best thing to do is to get rid of him instantly. Don’t act as if you can take advantage of him instead by biting his own offer, scammers can sometimes be smarter than us and may left us falling into their traps instead. Besides, lost coins are someone’s ownership already and not yours anymore, so just forget it and move on. And don’t let scammers have in contact with you, you’ll never know what’s running in their heads and they can easily locate you if you fall on their traps.

Not sometimes, scammers are usually smarter than us, especially if we are newbies in the industry and don't have much experience and knowledge about these things. Scammers know the vulnerabilities of newbie users in any industry and they trap them using those vulnerabilities because it increases the chances of them getting a higher success rate in what they do because newbies often don't understand and comprehend things quickly.

This is one of the reasons why it is important for everyone to stay vigilant and understand that they aren't supposed to entertain anything coming from an unknown source over the internet because almost 99% of these things are scams and they are only here to get your money and run away.
115  Economy / Economics / Re: Money addiction on: May 29, 2024, 05:53:21 AM
Its only a greedy and stingy person that will be regarded as one who is addicted to money because everyone by default is expected to have interest in having money to spend and use for basic needs of life, we should know this and also expect that there are ways in which we can spend money without making it appear as if we are being addicted to it, especially when we engaged the use for the right and appropriate reasons.

Addiction to money is when a person already has enough money but they still want to have more, however, it's not always wrong trying to earn more money by working as long as you are doing everything in the right way. There are billionaires and millionaires all around the world who don't stop working once they earn a lot of money because they want to continue working even if it's not for money.

Money is an extreme necessity these days, you can't do anything without money, but then again, if you already have enough money that you know you can live your life easily and have your future secured, you shouldn't try extremely hard to earn more money, as long as you are earning some, it should be enough for you.
116  Economy / Economics / Re: Marketing Strategies in the Digital Age on: May 29, 2024, 04:28:57 AM
With the development of technology today, maybe television is a little less competitive with the internet or the use of many people who use their gadgets and internet connections. Of course, in my opinion, the most effective marketing in this era is through what most people use, namely social media. Many people spend their days on social media whether it's for work or for fun or something else.

With this, of course, companies must take advantage of it by advertising for marketing strategies in the current era, which in my opinion utilizes the internet, social media and current technological developments effectively enough to be able to cover many people, apart from that the rest is on the company itself who puts up the advertisement like what, if it is interesting, surely many people will be interested when they see it and vice versa.

I'd say it depends on where a business is being run. A business that runs physically can utilize both physical advertisement positions such as billboards, etc., and online advertisement opportunities such as social media platforms and other online advertisement opportunities. However, a physical business would focus more on physical advertisement opportunities so that they can attract more people from the locations they are targeting.

An online business would focus more on online promotions because they wouldn't care where they are getting their customers from if their business isn't geographically limited and can serve customers from all over the world, and they can also use targeted ads where they can target specific ages and locations.
117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When investing in Bitcoin: what to consider? on: May 28, 2024, 02:58:44 PM
It is indeed the safest to invest in Bitcoin, no matter how much money you have and at whatever time you will get a profit in the future, but the main requirement and it seems easy but difficult to do is to be patient. with patience we can see bitcoin reach a new ATH, but even though it is safe, many also suffer losses, due to their lack of knowledge about bitcoin fluctuations. Therefore, it would be better to learn about it first before investing

There is always a possibility of the price of Bitcoin going higher in the future, but there is no guarantee because we can't see the future and we know how volatile and unpredictable the market is. The price of Bitcoin can be much higher than where it is right now, but it can also be at the same level or maybe lower if the price keeps going up and coming down after each cycle because we know there are bear and bull markets in every cycle.

People getting into Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market should understand that even if Bitcoin is considered to be one of the safest investment options available these days, it has its fair share of risks associated with it and an investor needs to understand those risks before they put their money in it.
118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't advice anyone to invest on Bitcoin if he doesn't have Alt. income on: May 28, 2024, 01:51:34 PM
You did the right thing, obviously.
A lot of new investors in the market have a wrong perception about cryptocurrencies because they think they can make an investment and keep earning money constantly like how one can get some commission by staking their funds in a pool or something. They don't understand how cryptocurrency investments work which becomes the reason for them to lose money when they make their investments and then panic sell when they see the prices declining.

So, if someone comes to you asking for advice on making investments in cryptocurrencies, you should let them know the risks involved and tell them what they don't know and then ask them to do their research before they take any step to avoid unnecessary losses.
119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's impossible to copy Bitcoin, and the price will always rise because on: May 28, 2024, 08:44:30 AM
If many people wanted to buy another PoW coin instead of Bitcoin, the price of Bitcoin would rise, meaning it would generate more profit, which would make people buy only Bitcoin. Therefore, it is not possible for people to buy another
proof of work coin instead of Bitcoin because this would make Bitcoin's price increase generating more profit, which would prevent competition.

How so? I don't understand what you mean, if people buy other cryptocurrencies instead of Bitcoin, that wouldn't make the price of Bitcoin rise up or grow because the whole concept revolves around the demand and supply mechanism where the price of an asset only increases if the demand is high and supply is low, but if there is no much demand, the price wouldn't get affected even if the supply is low. So I don't see any reason why the price of Bitcoin would go up if people buy other PoW coins.
Please explain this a bit more.

In a normal company, competition forces companies to lower prices. In Bitcoin, the logic is inverse, it raises the price and prevents competition from emerging, which makes proof of work impossible to copy.

Cryptocurrencies are not like companies because their prices are not controlled by a central authority but their price depends on how much demand they have. Bitcoin has such a high value only because it is the most demanded cryptocurrency and it has a limited supply, another cryptocurrency can compete with it if it gets the same level of demand and has a low supply like it.

CONGRATULATIONS KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS.

So the most interested tournament of the year has been come to an end. Starc proved that Shah rush khan payed high price of 24 Crore Inr was not a bad choice. He picked very important wickets at the start and build a pressure.

The final match was not interesting as it was fully one side game from the start. we were expecting a tight match...

Interesting to see that no ine predicted KKR for final win. Most of the users predicted CSK. I have updated spreadsheet but still Final match and one time prediction points remains to be added. I will try to final the spreadsheet today and then winners will be announced aoon. Keep it up guys
