i tried to calculate how much would i make from bitcoin mining using an antminer s9, and i don't think it's worth it for me as the cost of electricity is high where i live, which is in the UK (it's 20 cents approx), i make like $300 profit a year. and obviously i can't use faucets as that will take years to get one bitcoin. so is the only way to even get any value from bitcoin is to buy it and hold it on for another few years? but it is a risky investment due to the price. or should i invest in new currencies that are cheap right now and have potential to grow to $4k a coin?  What do you want to say? Do you have a problem with how to reproduce your Bitcoins? If so, you can join campaigns. There you will earn bitcoins depending on your rank. we don't have so many currencies.
* we have fiat and then we have bitcoin.
* then there are some altcoins like Litecoin and Monero that have been trying to act as a currency, they succeed a little.
* then we have lots of "tokens". just numbers on the screen created for trading alone.
* then we have lots of different "tokens" like ETH that are not even supposed to be a currency but people mistake them for a currency.
There might be a time in the future where bitcoin users will be begging for the anonymity some of these coins offer. government will against coins like this later, because it’s anonymity is very dangerous if used for a bad purpose. anonymity is very difficult to track, different case if we talk about more advanced technology in the future. |

you should consider to mine altcoin then use the results for trading, with the difficulty of mining Bitcoin it also takes resources and huge capital to start playing on this field, only big players can play here. also consider the cost of electricity in your country will be it worth it if used to mining.

you forgot the premine part! the bitcoin gold developer has plans to premine a large amount of bitcoin gold before releasing it and letting others mine it. i forgot how much it was but i believe it was thousands of BTG. that alone puts this fork under the shitcoin categories. because coins that have a premine like this are only created by the developer to make money. they come along, live a little, get pumped then the dumps start and the price goes down to 1 satoshi per coin and eventually they disappear. no, based on what I read in their slack, they are no longer planning about it, just wait for the distribution of Bitcoin Gold coins until our wallet is filled by itself with the same amount of coins in our Bitcoin wallet. |

Now, people are just spreading rumors with no strong basic knowledge, they are just guessing it. if you are been in this industry you should be used to take risks and there’s nothing wrong to take the risk by investing some of your income, especially the income from this industry.
