101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [TRUMP] TrumpCoin SuperPAC on: September 09, 2016, 03:16:14 AM
What the hell it is?

Competition?

Maybe, but it would be hard for them to compete with the name TRUMP. It literally "trumps" every other Trump-related coin out there.

Announcement

Hello all.

I've made some changes to LeakyBitcoins Faucets. I've listed these changes below, but first I'd like to take a moment and welcome any newcomers to Bitcoin.

Those who are new to cryptocurrency will quickly discover that using faucets is a great way to rack up some FREE coins with literally no strings attached! If you need a wallet / deposit address, please check out either of my sites below for info and a helpful link on how to obtain one:

leakybitcoins.com

leakybitcoins2.com

Now, here is just a very quick rundown on how faucets work:

     > Admin creates a website and incorporates a working faucet.

     > Admin keeps the faucet balance loaded & pays for web hosting, amongst other costs.

     > Users visit the website on a regular basis and collect FREE cryptocoins by taking the time to solve a captcha (Solve Media, reCaptcha, etc.) and an anti-bot puzzle.

     > Users support the faucet's costs by visiting any ads that interest them, using affiliate banners & links or making donations.

Affiliate banners can mostly be found on the following pages:

partners.leakybitcoins.com

partners.leakybitcoins2.com

Remember: Faucets can only stay alive if users are active in supporting them!

Now, on to the recent changes:

1) Reward payouts have been adjusted. Here are the updated numbers:

You've probably noticed I've raised the minimum payout to 125 satoshi, and the maximum to 250,000 satoshi! Other rewards and percentages have been adjusted as well.

This change may be temporary depending on how much revenue is coming in / reward payouts going out. I'll keep you guys up-to-date on any other changes related to this.

2) On Sunday, 9/11/2016, a 2-day referral commission promotion will begin! This promotion will end on Tuesday 9/13/2016.

During this time, referral commissions will be increased to 45%, so be sure to share your referral links with family, friends or post them on your websites to earn some good passive income.

To give a couple examples on how much you can earn with just one referral, everytime he/she makes a claim and wins 125 satoshi, you will get 56.25 satoshi. If they win 500 satoshi, you'll get a whopping 225 satoshi and so on! The more active referrals you have, the more BTC you'll make! Remember, this promo will only last for two days and then it will go back to 20%, so take advantage of it while you can!

3) A new contest is in the works, so stay tuned! This contest will be a bit different than the last two.

4) I've removed a few ads and switched others around; particularly in the faucet collection area. It should look a bit cleaner now.

On a similar note, pop-under ads will remain for the moment. I know these types of ads drive away some users, but depending on the revenue they produce, they may be necessary at this time. Hopefully the increased rewards will be incentive enough for users to put up with them Smiley Feel free to voice your opinion on the matter and please check out the new poll I added.

That's all for now. Thanks for continuing to use and support LeakyBitcoins Faucets!

One pop-up or pop-under for me personally was never a problem on faucets.Users do not like it but I think we can all survive one or two pop-under if this means that faucets continue to work.

I hope you find the best option to increase revenue, keep up the good work Smiley

Thanks Lucius. Your feedback is always appreciated Smiley
104  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: ☆UPDATE☆ [ANN] LeakyBitcoins.com: The Simple Bitcoin Faucet with HUGE Rewards! on: September 06, 2016, 11:20:18 PM
Thanks guys!

To my users: I'm going to be experimenting with some new ads to see if I can increase revenue outside of AdSense. These might include pop-up / pop-under ads, which I really wanted to avoid doing, but might be necessary depending on the amount of income they bring in (mostly to support the faucet reward payouts).

If they end up looking too sketchy, I might backtrack and try something else. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up Smiley

EDIT: Right now, I'm trying out PropellerAds.com for pop-unders. It seems pretty reputable so far...

Here's a little snapshot from their FAQ:

-----

I highlighted the most important part. I know no one likes to see that type of stuff pop up. I'll continue to do some testing on my end, but feel free to voice your opinion on it here.

The rewards on this site are amazing. I don't know how you can afford to do it with so few ads. Even with ads, I don't know how you do it Smiley
106  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: CetoBeto : New Bitcoin Generator on: September 05, 2016, 10:17:08 AM
Great news! I added your banners to my faucets to help w/advertising, but doubt you'll really need it.

Good luck with your new project Cheesy
107  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: ☆UPDATE☆ [ANN] LeakyBitcoins.com: The Simple Bitcoin Faucet with HUGE Rewards! on: September 04, 2016, 10:22:46 PM
I think that's enough 100 Satoshi. The most important thing is that the faucet is not drained because people get used several times a day to visit list. Eg. on the list with 100 Faucet who pay, can earn a day to 30,000. Of course when it asked users is never enough a high reward.

Thank you very much for your feedback. I agree that it's important to ensure the faucet doesn't get drained, but I believe in the referral system and encourage everyone to share their links w/family, friends and anyone else you think might be interested (as long as they're not scammers & bot users) Smiley

I wanted to take a moment and promote my partners pages on both faucets. They're pretty much identical, but here are the links:

http://partners.leakybitcoins.com

http://partners.leakybitcoins2.com

On these pages you'll find some really great sites which include faucets & faucet lists, games, gambling, crypto exchanges + more.

I personally use each site advertised here because they are high quality and haven't let me down. Also, remember that I've added my own referral codes on some of the links, so visiting and using those sites directly helps my faucets (because I use any earnings to fund the LeakyBitcoins faucet balances).

Please take a second and check this out to see if anything interests you. If you'd like to advertise on these pages, let me know by sending a PM or emailing leakybitcoins@gmail.com.

Thanks!

So, thanks to everyone who participated in the last poll. It looks like the "Medium" vote for the anti-bot difficulty won, so the next time I change it, I'll keep it about the same.

I put up a new poll. Please check it out!

Right now, I'm just kinda seeing how others feel about the rewards Smiley
109  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] LeakyBitcoins.com: The Simple Bitcoin Faucet with HUGE Rewards! on: September 02, 2016, 09:48:02 PM
Hey mate, just a simple advice, in the past 6 months almost all major faucets have been banned by adsense. You have been promoting your faucet really hard, nothing scammy about referral payouts, most of the faucets do, have earned a considerable amount of referral earnings from both of your faucets. The rewards have been lowered, but still good and in my opinion you can maintain the current reward without adsense, but with marginal profit. You are using the faucet on the main page, adsense is catching up, either use adsense with subpage, but still risky. Why kill the goose that lays golden eggs?

Thanks for the advice. Yeah, I've been keeping up with the AdSense-banning-faucets news and it sucks. Honestly, I think it's just a matter of time for mine, but it seems like the recent faucets that have been banned hold <100k Alexa rankings and are far more popular. I'd consider putting the actual faucet on a subpage, but it would really take a lot of work to move stuff around and I'm not sure if I have the time for that right now.

On a similar note, I relocated the AdSense ads to the actual faucet area itself to hopefully generate some more (organic) interest Smiley But honestly, I just don't know. I got my first real month's report in yesterday and it wasn't entirely good. There was a significant amount of invalid traffic. I've incorporated a number of anti-bot / vpn / proxy scripts, have added malicious IPs and BTC addresses to a blacklist, etc etc. Google literally provides zero detailed feedback on where the invalid traffic is from, so as an admin, it's very difficult to determine what's causing it.

People who support the faucets and visit ads regularly (because they're interested in them) are AWESOME, but I guess that aspect can be abused by continuously doing it over and over from the same IP. I'm not sure what the cutoff is to Google; maybe one unique IP visit/click per day? It seems like it's all speculation right now since Google provides really ambiguous guidelines.

The minimum reward seems to be working out well right now. I was up to paying $40 per day out of my pocket because it reached over 0.07 BTC in reward payouts. I'm not a rich person at all, lol, and I made these sites because I really support cryptocurrency and wanted to start on a project that would benefit not only myself, but others as well. I have to stay realistic about stuff, especially when it comes to finances. I know it will piss off a lot of users, but then again there's that chance at getting a much higher reward payout. Like I said previously, the 250, 500 and even 1000 sat rewards are paid regularly according to my stats; you just have to keep trying for them (and cross your fingers). The 50k, 75k & 100k rewards also get picked up by very lucky users.

At the time when reward payouts peaked, revenue just wasn't keeping up. Plus, most of it was from AdSense and I'm pretty much at their mercy on whether they will pay out or not. It's hard to find a comparable ad network that pays similar rates; I know there are faucets that exist without them, but they seem to incorporate other stuff as well, like dice gambling, etc. Honestly, I'm not the most technical person in the world, so I wouldn't even know where to start with doing that. Also, it seems like the house would need a decent cash pot to survive any big winnings, and I don't really have that at the moment.

Well, I apologize for the rant, but I appreciate all and any advice. So far it's been really fun engaging the community and developing the sites. The roadmap I provided before is still on the table, but may need to be adjusted a bit. I may also have some other plans, but am not sure yet. I'll be updating this thread as usual Smiley

Thank you all for the support. I really appreciate it!
110  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: September 01, 2016, 04:54:47 PM
Keep bumping the thread!

Please don't do that. Only one "bump" is enough, repeating this can hide some valuable information from someone else Smiley

Roger that, but I figured keeping this thread near the top of the page would be a wise move until the problem was resolved. Luckily that didn't need to happen.

Thank you for fixing it Smiley

Bumping before I go to bed Smiley

EDIT: Tried sending a support message on the website, but there was an error. Ended up sending a PM here, so hopefully it'll make its way into his email box. Keep bumping the thread!

It looks like FaucetBOX is having an issue, which affects payouts on my faucets. Please keep an eye on the following thread for updates on the situation:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1094930.0

UPDATE: The problem has been resolved. Good luck & win big!
113  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: September 01, 2016, 09:06:28 AM
Hmm, very interesting. I tried testing on my own faucets and 3/4 times failed. The one attempt that succeeded took about a minute or so to load, but finally went through. It seems like an intermittent-type problem:

I wonder if Kazuldur is aware of the issue.

Too bad things do not go as planned, but in any case it is better to react in time than to let things take their course.Chances to get 250 and 500 satoshi certainly is not bad.Yesterday when I saw the announcement I visited both faucets and claim 250 satoshi Smiley

I hope that things will improve as regards income from ads.It is summer time in Europe, many go to holidays and spend less time in front of computers.

I'm about to look at the stats again right now, but yes, I saw quite a few 250 & 500 sat payouts yesterday when I checked. I think this is a fair trade-off for now until I can get things under control a bit.

I guess the key with my sites is to not focus too much on the minimum reward, as there are currently six other possible BIGGER rewards to get!

It's a bit like gambling and I honestly based it off of freebitco.in's faucet model; just on a smaller scale Smiley

[UPDATE]
I just noticed that the statistics start goes up now. But for the moment there are no earnings for yesterday earnings.
Yep, I can confirm as well. It looks like they might have fixed the problem.
117  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Mellowads is dead on: August 30, 2016, 04:20:44 PM
Here are my stats for today. They are definitely not right, lol...

118  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Mellowads is dead on: August 30, 2016, 04:16:39 PM
I agree there should be an update, but everyone should stay calm as it really hasn't been that long since the issue was discovered.

In my opinion, all site owners need to get in the habit of providing timely updates / announcements whenever there are problems or changes. It's a responsibility that cannot be overlooked and even if the admin is away for a period of time, arrangements should be made beforehand to cover situations like this if they occur. This especially applies to large, successful sites like Mellow Ads.

There is a lot of distrust going on in the BTC and other crypto ecosystem, so it's important that communication is maintained.

Announcement

For some reason, ad revenue has continued to drop significantly over the past few days, so I am forced to make additional changes.

To all of my loyal users, I'm really sorry I have to do this, but it's necessary for the faucets to stay alive for now.

Here are the new rewards (actual numbers):

The chances of getting 250, 500 and even 1000 sat are pretty good, and the 50k, 75k & 100k sat reward percentages haven't changed.

Thanks to all of those who continue to support LeakyBitcoins!
120  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Mellowads is dead on: August 30, 2016, 03:04:47 PM
How will faucet owner earn without adsence and mellowads  Huh

Maybe we will finally see less faucets which will be good
I can confirm Mellow Ads hasn't paid and my stats are at 0.

Why do you think less faucets will be good? That doesn't make sense...
