101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is more risky? Bitcoin or bank investment? on: June 07, 2018, 06:23:30 PM
Bitcoin is indeed risky. But bank investments are risky too. In our country (coz I'm not sure if this exist in other countries). When you have a large amount on your account they will call you and ask you if you want to invest, minimum of 20,000 Php (or 400 USD). They will propose some investment plans where there is a choice of low, medium, or high risk investment. When you choose the high risk there is a chance to lose or gain 100% of your investment (Medium is 75% and low is 50% if I remember it right). It doesn't make sense to me, it sounds like a scam, they will invest using your money and you don't have any control to it. That is why I like bitcoin more, coz Though it is risky and it's very volatile, you have full control on your investment.

What do you guys think?

In my opinion banks are good if you are planning to live via fiat and want to spend life away from cash that has volatility. On the other hand bitcoin is good if you know what you're doing and ready to play with a volatile market.
102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best way to store Bitcoin safely ? on: June 07, 2018, 05:46:54 PM
Download electrum from a trusted source.
- Make a new wallet copy and save the seed somewhere in your encrypted pendrive and keep that pendrive somewhere safe.
103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where do Crypto poker players play and why? on: June 06, 2018, 09:11:36 PM
At the current time of me posting , I do not believe that there are a vast majority of crypto only poker websites. But, there are various casino websites that allow you to deposit bitcoin, however, I’m not sure if you can withdraw. One of the most popular poker websites would be pokerstars you should check it out if you’re interested.
104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING ADDICTION: when it begin, and how to stop. Let me help you on: June 06, 2018, 08:33:27 PM
This is good advice, but I believe in my opinion advise is not enough. This is due to the person giving advise thinking that it’s easy to quit. However, they are not in the state of mind that the “addict” is in. I think the best way for someone to quit addictions is for them to experience a big hit. In gambling industry possibly, it being them losing lots. In drug addictions maybe, they get really sick or close to dying.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your best ICO? on: June 06, 2018, 07:47:43 PM
Which one was your best ICO you invested in? How much money did you make?

There are many good ICO’s throughout the market, I would be careful which ones you invest in as they could be scams. I would also like to give you some tips; 1. Do not be too greedy, cash out when you’ve made a sufficient amount of money as many ICO’s will die off; 2. Research each ICO thoroughly.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple or other altcoins? on: June 03, 2018, 07:17:09 PM
Some people say that ripple would reach the moos soon. So I invested $5000 in it. To my dismay, it is decreasing in prices, incurring me a heavy loss. What do you think guys, will it increase in prices? or should I sell all ripple coins I have and go for another?

Ripple has been shown around the world including on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, it has potential but at the moment the price is not showing this. One major thing I think is holding it back is due to its affiliation with banks as bitcoin (being a successful crypto) strives off of this and is why people love bitcoin. If Ripple were to find something that the people love it will also do this.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How you divide your wealth between altcoins and bitcoin! on: June 03, 2018, 07:08:32 PM
BTC Allcoation would be : $80ALT Allocation would be : $20 My reasons : I believe that bitcoin has more long term potential however, for a quick dollar I would put around 20% of my money into alt coins as they pay off well if you do your research well and cash out at the right time (not be too greedy).
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why wouldn't you invest on ripple? on: June 03, 2018, 06:37:34 PM
Ripple is a centralised currency ran pretty much by banks. One of the key features of bitcoin was to avoid this and to make it easy to send money without high fees. However, it seems that it is growing well, and I believe it was also on Ellen’s show which I assume would have affected the price.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have 12 Bitcoin. What should I do??? on: June 02, 2018, 06:43:39 PM
12 btc is a good amount of money and I think you already have some good options to choose from but i think the third one is a high risk attempt and i wouldnt be for the idea...

Hodl half of those coins and the other half try invest it in ICOs and cash out into fiat from the 3 btc.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So many new ICO, how to check if it's scam? on: June 02, 2018, 06:37:39 PM
Research will help you and better not listen to random people on the internet for your investment guide in the hope that your brain will not have to play any part.
Gl investing.
111  Economy / Economics / Re: Peer to Peer Exchange on: June 02, 2018, 06:33:08 PM
Is there any trading/exchange site that have a feature where people can directly trade and communicate with each other? Like a social media type platform?

I believe what are you describing is called a decentralized exchange and I also believe that there is none which could be called a decentralized exchange. A decentralized exchange relies on no third parties meaning that technically if there was a social media or service for this it would be a centralized exchange in some sense.  I believe if you wanted to do a real peer to peer exchange you should be doing it out of your wallet.
112  Economy / Speculation / Re: The coin that will not die. on: June 02, 2018, 11:05:24 AM
Think about it, $7500 after everything that has been thrown at this market? LOL, the manipulators have only proven how strong Bitcoin is. Saddle up, 25k BTC and overall market cap 1 Trillion coming this year.

I believe that everything in the world will eventually die. Although I don’t believe google (jjk). Anyways back to the topic, if you think that a coin like BTC will not die you are wrong! You need to acknowledge that there are developing coins right now that have far better technology that could take over BTC within the next 10-30 years.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Bitcoin Cash on: May 31, 2018, 05:49:09 PM
Look there is some improvements in the technology of bitcoin cash vs bitcoin but I strongly believe that it will not over take bitcoin nor stand a chance against bitcoin as It seems that its trying to be a bitcoin 2.0. I think there are much better coins like ETH, monero that you should look at.
114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is energy consumption going to hold bitcoin back? on: May 31, 2018, 02:59:16 PM
Energy consumption In no way would hold bitcoin back. Before bitcoin there were already tons and tons of server rooms using lots of electricity. Yes bitcoin miners will need a bit more electricity but I believe that this is not one of the limits that is holding bitcoin back. I think it’s the companies and governments trying to hold bitcoin back so that they can create their own regulated crypto.
115  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Master the trading on: May 31, 2018, 02:47:00 PM
In order to increase any skill as they say Practice makes perfect. I would strongly advise you practice with small amounts on some up and coming alt coins. Just remember to become a pro trader you can’t be too greedy which is the hardest part (In my opinion) of trading. You need to make plans about when you will cash out and at what price.
116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Benefits of gambling? Yes - it exists! on: May 28, 2018, 08:26:11 PM
I like your thoughts on this thread, whenever someone is talking about gambling they are generally talking about the negatives of gambling and not always thinking about the good sides of it. In my opinion I believe when you gamble it trains you how to take risks in life. This could train your brain that risks aren’t always a bad thing and that have good reward if you take “smart risks”.
