Solving problems of interoperability and scalability: Blockdaemon partners with Aion Network
https://blog.blockdaemon.com/solving-problems-of-interoperability-and-scalability-blockdaemon-partners-with-aion-network-770c1afd2e70

Hey elitecstrike! Thanks for sharing great news! "Blockdaemon assists with driving Aion’s mission forward to bridge the gap across multiple blockchain solutions for global interoperability. Blockdaemon provides the fastest and easiest way to launch an Aion node and connect your node to the Aion wallet."
In my opinion, this partnership is important for both companies.

104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a Digital Gold?? on: October 02, 2018, 11:50:27 PM
After reading a lot of posts made by people on this forum, I realized about 75% of them see Bitcoin as a digital Gold. For me, I don't think Bitcoin is a digital gold. Cryptocurrency or Bitcoin to be precise, was developed to be a safer option for transaction of goods and services and also the best mode of payment. Bitcoin was introduced to disable all the restrictions that banks and the financial system presented. A lot of people have lost huge sums of money because they saw bitcoin as a digital gold. I know others will argue that bitcoin has also made people rich but for me, I don't think it is advisable to consider Bitcoin as a digital gold. Bitcoin is a digital currency.

Think of it this way, when oil becomes to costly to extract don't you think other alternatives will be put to use because they are cheaper?  Same with BTC. Once it gets too expensive, other similar yet more efficient coins will be primarily used...
105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the King ! Why ? on: October 02, 2018, 10:22:03 PM
Bitcoin is known as the king(father) of crypto currencies , but why is that so ?I have been for several months now reading a lot about the whole crypto ecosystem, i even bought several bitcoins.
Enough background, now on to the topic at hand.

1. Low Fees - Nowadays the average fee for BTC is under $0.5 that was a very good sign for adoption of Bitcoin on large scale. In late 2017 Bitcoin fee was very high around $15 and that time the model of Satoshi Nakamoto  is seems to be failed to transfer across the world with almost no fee but the fee is very small and one can easily make a transfer of $5 anywhere in the world.

2 Store of value - It's still a lot. Physical gold has survived wars and governments. Now we have it's virtual version(Bitcoin) that can't be falsified and is easy to carry and trade. Isn't it great?
Bitcoin is functioning as a payment system in Korea and Japan. I could even order food with it or pay the dentist nearby. It's fun to be using something nobody else does, it's a great talk at parties and a great speculative asset, just ask all those traders who made it their full-time job.

3. Lightning Network - LN is making Bitcoin more valuable. Small stores and companies accepting bitcoin using LN that was perfect for small transactions.

Mostly the name, the established brand, as well as the community. Currently people are using it as a safe haven during unstable times. Read what's happening in Venezuela and Zimbabwe. A similar thing was happening in China before the ban. People are using it to do everything the governments are trying to stop them from. Moving money out of the country, hiding income, buying banned goods and services, gambling. It's a rebel coin and the rebel in me is supporting it in full.

In addition, Bitcoin is more accessible, with more exchanges, more merchants, more software and more hardware that support it. Bitcoin is far more liquid, with much larger volumes than every crypto currencies. Bitcoin has the largest developer ecosystem with more software and more implementations than any crypto currencies. Bitcoin has the most entrepreneurs creating companies around it with a lot of intellect, dedication and creativity going toward making it more useful.
When you compete with Bitcoin, not only are you competing with its much larger user base, development team and mining operation, but you’re also competing against the very large ecosystem of startups, open source projects and entrepreneurs.

Hey harshmonty3,  BTC will only be 21 million Bitcoin already HAS value. It has important characteristics that are not replicable. With institutionalization, on-ramps & adoption happening at a global scale. Scarcity will catch up, it’s a matter of when.

107  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial Crisis Will Come on: October 02, 2018, 09:53:09 AM
every country will always experience a financial crisis when the economy goes down but as a developing country it will certainly try to overcome this crisis by stabilizing the economy, and I think when crypto rises again financial will also improve again
The fact that the national financial and economic crisis does not really matter to us. As a matter of fact we can not do anything for the country. This is related to the organization of the country and they need to have specific plans. And our job is to plan to increase sales and a lot of money. The main purpose is to care for the family.
i think we must have a role in country, so that economic crisis that hit our country can be overcome, in addition to thinking about family finances. i hope that cryptocurrency will be legalized immediately in order to pay tax

Who is to say that BTC (crypto) isn’t being prepared as a lifeboat for smart money before the world economy crashes. Let’s face it, what else is it’s long term purpose? Next crisis will most likelly be debt crisis - everyone will try to minimize counterparty risk incl banks etc.

109  Economy / Economics / Re: Global financial crisis on: October 01, 2018, 08:58:07 PM
I'm expecting a new crisis to arise in the next 4-6 years, i think what's happening in the loan and reposition industry creates a pathological state.
Banks are still feeling too safe for what they're doing, their mistakes will sooner or later bring on a decline.
Also considering austrian cycle theory, i'd say we're in the boom. Soon gold and solid cryptos might be the go-to when it comes to keeping your money safe.

How long do you guys think we have until we face the next crisis?

Hey Cristopherus, Crypto as a whole will be destroyed but BTC will stay the same and shortly pump after a major crisis. Volatility in Bitcoin is due to speculation and not due to monetary manipulation so common in today's financial markets. BTC is still king of crypto and will retain it...  But this is just my opinion I do not know how it will be in reality because write what you think Wink
110  Economy / Economics / Re: The economic crisis in 2018 on: October 01, 2018, 08:50:16 PM
Hi All, the next crisis won't be a job loss/stock market crash, it will be the hyperinflated dollar collapsing on itself after 10 years of being printed/loaned out at negative or near 0 interest rates. You're looking at it in a purely American context, this will be global.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ontology ONT - Price speculation on: October 01, 2018, 08:29:38 PM
i think this is a good project for long term and hodl investment .

Ontology is one of the best projects. I am sure that we have to buy more ONT to be sure that we will earn a lot later. Just look at the graphs of this awesome token: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ontology/

The reason I never sell my minimum long-term stack of $ONT is that one  day soon people will realise that it is actually how the SmartEconomy onboards global enterprise. Any idea what happens when people start buying it purely for staking.

116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we Need Central Banks? on: September 28, 2018, 10:20:34 PM
Well, central banks and fiat currencies are only a pretty new concept to humankind. The economy, as well as the currency, can definitely function without a central bank, as demonstrated by the days where paper currency did not exist and we used gold and silver as main forms of currency.

These are essentially the most basic forms of decentralized currencies, and they certainly worked well to serve their purpose - to store value, and to serve as a medium of exchange in transactions.

It's up to debate whether or not society would function better without a central bank, but all I know is that if I wanted to save my net worth in something, I would not put the majority of it in something which value is based on a central organization's trust, and they essentially can inflate the supply of as much as they want to.

Yes , still we need the central bank. As we stepped forward to modernisation that every country produce their own local monetary identity which helps to organise  and monitor their national economy.

Join the Cryptocurrency world, there is no central banking, no middlemen. You are your own bank. Protest doesn't ever do anything, if you want a better system you have to get educated and help build it...
117  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Market Manipulation on: September 28, 2018, 09:15:55 AM
If you've been around the cryptosphere, you've probably heard both camps on whether BTC is manipulated. Many say it's the "weak hands", others blame large institutions, while other's say it's all that MT GOX guy doing another dump? What do you think? Is it manipulated? Please include your reasoning on the matter.
Yes, we have a lot of manipulation in the crypto currency market. Pumping and dumping of prices, news background...

BTC approaching to one of the most important levels of the whole chart. Moving into the uptrend channel while facing a key horizontal support at 6,800$. Afterwards comes a monthly and heavy downtrend resistance around 7,000$. Time to pay attention.
