101  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Lost BTC BITBLENDER.ME is a SCAM SITE on: September 14, 2018, 04:04:11 AM
You fell for a phishing site like FlamingFingers mentioned. I've seen this a lot recently, and I feel that there should be a more noticeable warning that Bitblender's only available on Tor (besides the informational .io site, which is a bit confusing), but I cannot see any way you're going to get your funds back, unfortunately. It sucks, but Bitblender's not completely at fault in this situation. You should've done more reading or checked the Bitcointalk thread before mixing such a high amount of funds.

For reference, the following is the Tor link to the legitimate Bitblender site: http://bitblendervrfkzr.onion/

It would also be more advisable to click links made by trusted accounts and threads in the forum and then bookmark them in your browser.

Having that said, middlemanager, can you post the transaction ID of your said transaction? Ty.

DuckDice.io, you have a very good list of accepted cryptocurrencies. How do you choose what currencies included for your gambling site? Do you do your own diligence on them or are you open to suggestions from the community?

We have a built-in survey bot on DuckDice, so we just ask our members which new currencies they want and we implement them.
Actually few weeks ago we had a survey about new coins and based on the survey results we've chose 5 new coins to add on DuckDice and we plan to integrate all five during this autumn.

Okay ty. Can I ask you what those 5 new coins are coming out this autumn or will you be keeping it private until announcement day?

They continue to mine because the cost to do it in Proof of Capacity is very low. If you already have the hard drives then it would be better to mine with them than leave them idle. But if you are planning to buy hard drives to mine, it would be cheaper to buy Burst.

105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Burstcoin [BURST] Price Speculation on: September 13, 2018, 04:16:53 AM
Daltonik, Burst is still going against the current lol. Do the sellers have nothing to dump anymore? Have Adam Guerbuez and his supporters sold everything they had?

Having that said, Burstnation is now bitcoinstacks.com. Good luck to them and I hope they support Burst again if its more suitable for them. The whole Burst community should work together and not attack each other.

The article has some mistakes in it. They are also quite unexcusable mistakes. Please do your thorough research before you release one for the general public. Ty.

Thats false advertising lol.
107  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Why I think blockchain will revolutionize small business marketing on: September 13, 2018, 03:45:49 AM
Proof of Completing Challenges lol. It might work, might not work, but it would depend on having people solving the challenges. What about the nodes? Does each challenge solver have to run one, or can they join a pool?

How do you protect the system from 51% attacks? The challenge solvers might collude and hard fork the project.

We are considering to build the solution under NEO blockchain so I don't think we will have enough volume to over take the platform. So Challenge participants will just simply sign up the Challenge that got posted. Then when they complete, they are rewarded with tokens. They won't be having nodes nor voting power under this structure.

That being said, we have considered to build our own blockchain in the future. In fact, our co-founder is investigating the idea now as we suspect it may cost a lot of GAS for the community validation mechanism when we are scaling. We prefer to have registered businesses to be nodes instead just anybody. We are targeting specifically at small business owners, which mostly aren't techy/interested enough to coordinate a global 51% attack of a blockchain. Business owners will have to option pay tokens to post Challenges so should be in their interest to be a node as well.

Why did you decide to use the NEO platform if it would make your tokens easier to he listed in exchanges if it was an ERC20 token issued in the Ethereum platform.

Have you considered less known but time tested platforms like Burst maybe?
108  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Why I think blockchain will revolutionize small business marketing on: September 12, 2018, 04:21:33 AM
I am not sure to understand, from a company point of view, why a company should implement a cryptocurrency instead of the traditional loyalty program. And the same, from a customer point of view. Why a customer would prefer a cryptocurrency instead of the loyalty program.

Are you talking about a cryptocurrency that could be listed on an exchange? Or just a token usable on the site only. Because in case it's about a crypto I see a problem in. Let"s says the token triple or more within months, the company will so start to see reduced profits and so losing money.

These are really good questions. In fact, I've asked them to myself and the rest of the team a number of times. Below is what we have came up with that helped us to solidify the use of blockchain for our solution.

First, we want to utilize blockchain's ability to gather consensus from all users for marketing purposes on an immutable and transparent ledger. Nodis.io allows businesses to post up Challenges for people to participate and receive crypto as reward. Upon completion of a Challenge, participant will submit the proof (image, video, etc) on our website for validation. This is where blockchain comes in. We will open up to all users on our platform to validate the submissions. Majority side of the voters will receive a small portion of tokens as reward for the effort. All votes will be tracked and recorded for transparency. This community validation process will give businesses significantly more exposure. The best part of all is that this whole process can be automated. All businesses have to do is post a Challenge and done. This can potentially solve the lack of time issue. And when participants/voters are paid in crypto, it'll resolve the lack of money issue. The only cost is that businesses are required to post up discount vouchers for exchange with tokens.

As for the token pricing fluctuation issue, that's truly a tough one. We will be listing on an exchange as we are looking to do token sale. Our current option is to have a fiat-to-token conversion calculator so that people know how much token to pay for each voucher.

I hope these explanation helps!

110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BURST SPECULATION, the next big thing, Proof of Capacity mining on: September 12, 2018, 03:53:36 AM
We have another interview with Burst's community leader and evangelist, nixops.

Nixops on the Elysium Project Podcast

In this Podcast nixops talks about the banking system, the history and the need for Bitcoin, cryptocurrencies as a replacement for the banking system, mining, Burstcoin and Proof of Capacity.

Its a very relaxed interview and no shilling, only truths.

230GB is nearly nothing to play with the others in this game! Come back with at least 50TB to get some very small earnings...
Ok, thanks.
But still what is the reason for error on submitting nonce?

And how much approximately it pays daily if you have 50 TB?

Use this Burst mining calculator.

Before you invest in 50 terrabytes worth of hard drives, you should have a good plan on how to plot all those hard drives lol.
Thanks

Calculator says that 1 TB's yield is $0.3/month

So it doesn't make any sense to try to mine it =(

No its not. It would be better to buy Burstcoins now because they are very undervalued if you ask me. Once your Burst investment grows in value, you can use some of it to buy hard drives to mine because the higher price would make it profitable to mine.

Theres also a new coin called Chia that will have hard drive mining. Be ready for that if you want to mine in Proof of Capacity.
112  Economy / Economics / Re: What will happen if the all countries convert to cryptocurrency? on: September 11, 2018, 05:15:38 AM
Now that more and more countries are starting to go cashless (http://www.bbc.com/capital/story/20180427-does-a-cashless-society-benefit-everyone), is it possible that we also start converting to cryptocurrency? If that happens, what do you think are the advantages and disadvantages? Paying virtually is very convenient for me as I do not have to bring cash and it prevents petty theft but what is the disadvantage?

Its very possible. Once the banks start to take over the cryptocurrency market and have 100% control over it, that when its ready for mass adoption.

The advantage would make it very easy for banks to track your payments for you.

Theres no disadvantage because it will be the banks job to process your payments directly without the need for physical cash.

Are those the answers you were looking for?
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Ploutos Coin Project Philippines First Crypto-Funded Financial Instruments on: September 11, 2018, 05:03:45 AM
Newbie account, anonymous and the project is from a third world country which might not have a good team. What could go wrong?

Can someone post the identities of each team member working on this project?
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Burst weekly report! The future is bright! Proof of Capacity is here. on: September 11, 2018, 04:55:00 AM
Thats another encouraging weekly update. Burst, after a long time, has some marketing work behind it by real people of the community. Not like the pump marketing it had with Adam Guerbuez some years ago. This time theres real value in Burst.

116  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Shapeshift Membership on: September 08, 2018, 04:18:03 AM
I'm afraid that sooner rather than later another Instant exchange such as Changelly is going to completely dominate the market.

I wouldn't trust Changelly with my clinkers, let alone any money.

Read the responses of their support on Reddit and tell me that sounds like a place KYC free - https://www.reddit.com/user/changelly_com

Yeah I heard many negative feedback about them too. What other services are there thats like Shapeshift and Changelly? This is the best for them to market themselves as the service that will never require KYC on their users lol.

Its also the best time to open a TOR darknet cryptocurrency converter.
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: September 08, 2018, 04:06:30 AM
Burst uses a new algorithm for mining capacity evidence and given a period of time until it can be exploited. It is a decentralized platform open source to connect people, companies and financial institutions. It supports more convenient for users.

That PoC algorithm is not that new. Burstcoin exists since 2014.

Since blockheight 502000 (currently we are at 530k-something) Burst uses PoC2, a modification of the old PoC(1) mitigating certain time-memory trade offs the old PoC had.

Proof of Capacity is also the next natural progression for mining cryptocurrencies. The same as how car engines progressed from wasteful gas guzzlers to the efficient machines of today. Theres so much unused cheap capacity in the world waiting to be plotted and used for Burst.

Yeah but its good to have some practice in plotting and how to set up some hard drives for mining. Proof of Capacity and Proof of Space and Time will be the future of consensus algorithms because of its low energy requirement for fairly distributed cryptocurrencies.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Burstcoin [BURST] Price Speculation on: September 08, 2018, 03:33:17 AM
It's nice to see how BURST is going against the current right now against the background of the fall of the altcoins market, I would like to believe that it will continue. Smiley
0,00000158 BTC (5,23%)

Thats because there were some good news from app community development to outside business adoption this week. There may be some new investors buying Burst carefully without causing it to pump.

The investors might be themselves be the people behind the business adoption lol.
120  Economy / Marketplace / Re: John McAfee's Unhackable Bitfi Wallet Is Hacked Again on: September 06, 2018, 04:07:09 AM
Good for him, hes nothing but a hype artist. He was collecting payment to pump altcoins last year during the acrive phase of the bull market. He was paid by someone which the community assumes is Adam Guerbuez to pump Burst which made it look bad.
