- VMOD1(425kh/s), VMOD2(510kh/s), VMOD3 (560kh/s) **
- opzionale: downvolt ventola a 5V (decisamente silenziosa)
STATUS: DISPONIBILE511kh/s@1200mhz gridseed appena modificato![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FU7fZncO.jpg&t=663&c=hRZj6JtB0G4iGg)

Here's my solution to the uneven contact of the heatsink for thermal bliss. I simply used a dremel and a standard cutoff wheel and cut out a small section where those two offending components are. The cut is about 3/4 the thickness of the cutoff wheel. Now the base of the heatsink comes in complete contact with all 5 GC3355 chips, and the other two components make contact with the space I cut out. I applied Arctic Silver Ceramique that I had on hand to the GC3355 chips, and a thermal pad for the other two components. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi61.tinypic.com%2Fsenh5h.jpg&t=663&c=pBoUiEb_7shSbQ) I realize that it most likely didn't NEED this done....but why not? It should have come from the manufacturer designed right in the first place. Nice solution nst6563, I've a milling machine so I can easily make a precise groove in the heatsink ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) I'm almost sure that the oscillator don't need cooling but I'm usure about the U20 6pin chip since I didn't found the datasheet. Probably simplest way is to briefly turn on the gridseed touch the chip and see if it run hot...if remain cool I'll mill all the heatsinks ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Infact the original pad is very thick (over 1mm), probably gridseed noticed the unleveled components and used that pad just to play safe. I don't say that all modules have that issues, I've checked just on 2 and both where not leveled... As you said jamieb81 a better/thinnest thermal pad could work...but thermal paste would have been much better @suchmoon : Yes you right, mine too have some uneven deep marks on the pad...obviously I was interested to improve the dissipation due to the voltmod ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Someone read the article about removing the thermal pad and put the paste in order to have better overclock? It's this one: http://gridseed-blog.com/gridseed-overclocking-1000-mhz-without-voltmod/ Well, I suggest to avoid it because as I've thought the 5 chips and some others component aren't perfectly on the same plane, so the result is that one or more chips will not be even in contact with the thermal paste...WATCH OUT! You can cleary see from this photo: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FXYCkGCO.jpg&t=663&c=a5cgYV97-G03ew) I've evenly tightened the screws more that one time but still there is a gap on most of the chips, in this case the U20 6pin chip is the culprit, it's a bit more high than other components so the heatsink surface touch only that chip.

I'm building various mining rigs all in extruded aluminum, that first model is very compact ( about 52x25x28cm) good for places with little space (like my room ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) ) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FO6J8faw.jpg&t=663&c=8HUaE3P2WTrnZA) the rig can host about 6 gpu, with those spacing: - 4 gpu - 11cm
- 5 gpu - 7cm
- 6 gpu - 4cm
![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FBcHPHNu.jpg&t=663&c=i3M7hLnkAYtCnQ) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2Fp3yBByl.jpg&t=663&c=wXpAtt5b5l9aKg) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FI6GFOck.jpg&t=663&c=IXAd-qChTfB8hQ) It can fit big PSU like the Corsair AX1200 (15x86x20cm), 1 or more 2.5"/3.5" hd, some possible future accessories and ATX motherboard I've added a profile adapter slim ATX motherboard like the Asrock H81 pro btc Some Features: - Adjustable: upper bracket is adjustable in height and depth, lower bracket is adjustable both height and depth , in that way most gpu's should fit
- Stackable: rigs can be placed one on top of another
- Modular: the base frame can be used (with some optional profiles) as a gridseed rig for 10 modules wide spaced or 20 modules with the fan shut off, plus some accessories can be added (es: cooling fan)
![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2F2Ij58Yl.jpg&t=663&c=9ad4rD2PMnF65w) Accessories: I've made for first a cooling kit with 3 Aerocool 14x14 low-noise ( 22dba@48CFM ) mounted to an additional bracket that can be placed (and adjusted vertically) on front or back of the rig . ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2F7HxX9vX.jpg&t=663&c=PQjuvzaSflK11w) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FC0VdONA.jpg&t=663&c=v4yqhLdznDy-XA) Long story short I'm thinking to sell some rigs if someone is interested, I'm from Italy and I should be able to ship in EU with a decent price ( must check before ) The rig price is around 60€ ( plus shipping ), it come semi-assembled with keys and spare parts for complete the mounting Cooling kit with the Aerocool fans cost about 25€ I can accept obviously also BTC/LTC ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Any suggestions, modifications or critics are accepted

![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Lol, stop complain about "lost" coins...you mined hundreds of thousands if not milions on the wrong blockchain with difficult 2-3 and now come here shitting around? bha ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Maybe you might not care about your coins... but these are my life and blood. I stay up most nights until 3 or 4 o'clock researching and picking what coins i want to mine.... and no i dont pump and dump. Yes i do sell some coins on the market, but that is just to compensate for overhead costs. Those 10 million coins i was complaining about were very special to me. Take your negativity somewhere else. thankyou If you follow the coin releases with so much attention you should be aware of what an hard fork is or at least ask yourself why you suddently got so many coins in your wallet...plus the dev announced it clearly. I've also mined for 20min on the old blockchain and made about 4 milions coin but it was just for fun and nothing more. I have a day job man, which is paying for this all of this unused electricity. Hey you know whats worse than complainers?.... people that complain about complainers. My miner has the capability of mining that many coins within the timeframe i mined them at. Hey why dont you send me some of your coins... you know, since its all for fun and all. Decagrog i will give u 955,937.00681768 coins. gimme your CTD adress. For the moment i keep them in my wallet. Not selling. so i could spare 1 mil from 7. Any one care to give to decarog 1 mil? or 500k to cover his loss? znakistu I'm not complaining about any loss here, you probably misunderstood me for the user lorbocasust...anyway thanks for your generosity And lorbocasust: for fun I obviously intended the coins mined on the wrong blockchain...because i was AWARE that they were worthless. Apart that I'm not playing but I'm here for a deep interest about the cryptocurrencies world, related projects and surely also for make some profit. Just keep in mind that altcoin mining is not a plug&play activity, you can't put your miner on the pool and forget it for some days because everytime there are a lot of unexpected situations just around the corner.

Updated to hashra controla 1.33 but I can access anymore to the web interface nor ping the raspberry, seems having some issues with the DHCP...anyone have experienced it?
Does the yellow and green leds light up on the PI? if only the red leds light up, it means your SDCard is corrupted. If all leds light up, then the PI is alive, and probably got assigned a different IP address. Check your internal network for new devices (in the router, or FING app) Yes the green leds are on, the image is not corrupted since I've logged directly to the raspberry and checked for the connection...a ifconfig command returns me UP BROADCAST MULTICAST for the eth0 but not IP assigned...I've also tried to assign manually the ip but still I can't see the it on the network The raspberry is connected to a little tp-link switch and prior the 1.33 I've had no issues...any suggestion? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Hmm no suggestions other than reinstall a fresh img on the sdcard. the firmware updates do not go outside the /var/www directory. It simply replaces the php files. So no system configuration is changed during a controla update. sorry man. I tought the update was related only to the web implementation but wasn't sure, thanks for confirming it...also I've just connected the raspberry to the office network and it works good (included the web interface). So the issues is related to my home connection... go figure what is, sorry for the misunderstanding
