101  Economy / Scam Accusations / wallminer.com is a scam site? on: January 26, 2017, 08:00:53 PM
Hi, well i was still looking to buy an R4 and found the site wallminer.com.
I checked it out and in the bottom they "We accept paypal". So i though that i maybe found a trust worthy site.
But after creating a profile and going to the checkout i found something pretty disturbing...

They ask you to send them money to their account. and then they will send you the product. But this isn't the way you use paypal to buy stuff, this is a send me your money for services i didn't and won't do. I checked everywhere to find reviews of this site but none to be found so i decided to make this post. Maybe someone bought something and actually got it (i highly doubt it) but prove me wrong.
This is probably in the wrong section but i didn't find a scam site section but you can advise me and i will move it.
Thanks

Well the guy for 0.8btc each (which he said would be perfect and is ready to ship) isn't answering the pm's anymore >__> so still looking to buy some R4's.
I am looking for 4 units maybe 5 if the price is perfect.
Thanks

Hi,
can you specify the model of the laptop?
Are you willing to ship to Canada? If so how much to ship to this zip code: J4J2J8
Thanks

Looks like it would be about $50 to get it up to Canda but I'll split the cost with you, so you just need to chip in $25 for shipping. Let me know what you think.

Thanks for the shipping quote, but you didn't specify the model of the laptop.
107  Bitcoin / Hardware / Antminers different hashrate on: January 25, 2017, 02:46:19 PM
Hi, this has caused me some confusion...
Bitmain released the R4 batch 5 and batch 6 with different hash rate of 7.5th/s (batch 5) and 8.7th/s (batch 6).
My conclusion is that the chips in the 7.5th/s (batch 5) are lower quality so they hash at a lower rate? Is that the reason? In other words if you have a a choice of 2 S9's 1 of 12th/s and 1 of 14th/s the one with 14th/s would have a lower failure rate?
Thanks

There's still a 200-300$ profit on a used miner. But maybe i found a seller; willing to sell for 0.8btc each so lets see if that deals falls through.~ Don't worry will use Ognasty as escrow not to get scammed.
Thanks anyway

Hey,
yeah i saw that and 2200 cad is about 1600-1700$ US for a used miner.
I could buy one directly from bitmain for 916-1132US (Only batch 5's because they are all out of batch 6).
Thanks

Well, small update i asked Prelude but sadly he only has some older units so sadly no local pickup. Or maybe there's another member in the vicinity...
If there is... I will find you... And i will buy that miner from you...  Grin
(Still don't know if it's safe to mess around in this forum but will try my best to control myself (Results may vary).
113  Economy / Computer hardware / WTB Bitmain R4 Miner on: January 19, 2017, 05:25:59 PM
Hi,
I live in Montreal (Canada) and see that Prelude is from here so will send him a message and see if he got some to sell.
I would prefer to pay in cash because i don't really like the "give us your passport, drivers license etc etc that some exchanges are asking for. And cex.io has a nice 3.5% fee + a trade fee + escrow which would be a must that comes to 5-7% which i would prefer to keep in my pocket  Grin   (Don't worry after a few month's i will finally have enough btc to buy stuff with them instead)

So any sellers willing to send you can just post here or send me a pm
I am in no rush to buy the miners but I am not much of a patient person either.
Thanks

You got a problem with me? Then PM me like an adult and spread salt all over my inbox instead of being a bitch in public.

You should really talk to your doctor about emotional stability. There's medication that can help you.

The amount of salt in this soup is beyond reason.
isoneguy....... Damn
Remind me not to get on your bad side.

Yeah i am happy it worked too ^^.
I just started so I am a small miner (1 desktop: 1x 280x, 2x rx480)
Currently that is heating up my room and in about 1 1/2 month gave me a total of 127$
So far happy and want to start bigger but power panel struggles are real

Success!!
It took about 8 hours and i got the payment on my paypal account. and they don't take a cut. but paypal took a 1.75$ out of the 50$ but that's ok
So I'm satisfied. Thank you so much for your help Smiley

Hi, can you do a bar or something to be able to hold 3 120mm/140mm fans in front of the gpu's?

Instead of zip ties. (Good idea)
118  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Bitcoin wallet for Canadian's on: December 09, 2016, 08:08:51 PM

@neochiny

Hey!! The QuadrigaCX looks like a win to me Smiley
they have a pay to paypal account method that doesn't need me to give away my passport info (you know identity theft) AND IT'S FREE with a 1-2 days delay
Thanks a lot will try to transfer some money from my Coinbase to the QuadrigaCX and see then if i can withdraw the money if so they got a new customer ^^

Thank you so much~
120  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Bitcoin wallet for Canadian's on: December 07, 2016, 04:41:45 PM
Hi and thanks for your reply. I contacted some of their support and asked them if it would be possible for withdraws in Canada:

Quotes:
Coinbase: "I apologize for the delay. Unfortunately, that is correct. We currently do not offer Sells for Canadian accounts, so it is not possible to transfer funds back to your verified card."

Coinify: "We only work with EU and SEPA bank accounts, this means that unless you have a bank account registered in Europe we would not be able to serve your order."

Information:
CEX.IO: An exchange that can do a transfer to a paypal account so a 50% Win!

Coinsbank: wallet for android, withdraw to Paypal USD? (to be tested) They want ALL your information!!! Individual info, resident info and passport. I HATE that they want so much info but other than that, it's a match
So what do you think? Should i give Coinsbank all my information or is their another alternative?

Again Thank you so much for your time!
