101  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Can Be A Savior! on: December 21, 2017, 11:02:50 AM

To see MONEY consist of all 5 key aspects of what sound money constitutes,

Money is supposed to be

1.) recognizable,

2.) divisible,

3.) portable,

4.) fungible,

5.) And it needs to be scarce.

Fiat currency doesn't share many of these properties, one of which is scarcity. The value of Government-backed fiat currency can also be manipulated and corrupted. Right now, the Federal Reserve is printing more money in to the world Economy than ever before and it's killing the value of every dollar in your pocket and all other fiat currencies around the world as well.

Nice joke about What you mentioned about fiat currency. Fiat currency is better recognition. Also compared to bitcoin, the fiat (with help of internet and many payment gateways, payment banks )  has better portability. I'm not sure how bitcoin is fungible and fiat not. Would care to explain that part please?
Till this point we all are assuming that bitcoin supply is scarce. It cannot be produced more than that. What if developers changed that notion? After all its a software. When stakes are high anything can happen.
102  Economy / Economics / Re: Legalizing Bitcoin on: December 21, 2017, 09:54:45 AM
So in the most countries, bitcoin is neither declared legal or illegal. In some it is declared illegal and some are actually allowing it and also promoting their own alts.
So what would a government needs to do to regulate bitcoin in the country? And how can a government actually benefit from legalizing bitcoin in the country? How can it actually support the economic system of the country.

to be profitable then the country should make its own coin which is used to transact daily in the country, if so I am sure the country will also get the benefits
The governments are not required to make their own coin because they can just study the existing cryptocurrencies in the internet and accept it and make it as a fully legalize cryptocurrency or another form of money. It will be easier for them since they are already existing and they have a lot of different projects that the government can get benefits.
Every government is not as generous as Japan’s government. There are certain set of rules to be followed by the currencies creators (which usually are countries) and by the users of the currency. It is not easy for any government to allow a cryptocurrency as a legal currency because government always demands for the identity of the person owning a currency also government demands for the proof of the currency one has to be proved as white i.e. not earned though any unfair means.
Government always want a command and control in its own hand instead of anyone else, cryptocurrency don’t meet this requirement of government which makes it challenging for the government to legalize it.

There is nothing as government being generous toward anything. If they are getting tax then there should be no problem for them. For bitcoin some countries have started taking initiative to track the holders of coin and verify whether they have declared the coins in possession in their tax returns. In way I think this is better that government is going after those who have bitcoin or other alt-currency and not disclosed it in tax return. At least government is ready to recognize this whole bitcoin matter as legal. This will again help the bitcoin community. Many govt and economists, bitcoiners think bitcoin and crypto is best way to hide their wealth. thus giving bitcoin a bad reputation. This will start to stop now.
103  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC as a national currency? on: December 12, 2017, 09:23:00 AM
So as far as we know BTC currency is growing wide, do you think there will be when it become a national currency? If yes, why?If not, why?
Lets understand what is a currency and what makes any object to become a currency. First thing first a currency:
* material required for creating a currency should be available in quantity
* material should not be overly available as well. Like a silica or ice.
* A ruling government should be the sole owner its national currency. Otherwise forces from outside will demolish that country v\by manipulating the price/value of currency.
* That is why  government should be the one who make the decision when it comes to a currency.

Considering above points we understand that earlier copper, silver, gold were used as currency. At some point in history aluminum and other things like sea-shells, beads were also used as currency. However as time evolved due to one thing or other these material were abandoned as currency. For example aluminum became much cheaper and easy to extract. beads and other things became obsolete because of oversupply. gold, silver, copper coins followed same suit due to scarcity and expensive nature of these material.
As time evolved, paper currency became widely accepted as currency medium by almost all countries. Paper is readily available however type of paper required for the currency is not easy to acquire. So paper currency become mainstream. Over the period of time e-money became popular and more and more people are tend to use the e-money (creadit, debit, internet transactions).

* Cryptocurrency is an active concept from the economics point of view. Some countries are/may be considering to shift their own cryptocurrency.

* At this point we saw what makes for something to qualify for a currency. Coming back to bitcoin, as it is clear that bitcoin is decentralized by its nature, any country or outside force will change its price at will. This is a disaster for economy.
* Next point is bitcoin value is too much volatile to qualify for a currency.
* Value of bitcoin is way to much costly to qualify for a currency.

Bitcoin can not be a national currency. Forget national currency.. at this stage it can not act as a currency in first place. Bitcoin is the best commodity we have on this planet right now which IS giving highest return on investment.

105  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think bitcoin ever be safe for any investment ? on: December 08, 2017, 08:51:47 AM

yes I really believe bitcoin is a very safe coin for long-term investment, because in the future bitcoin is the answer of the future that is digital currency that can replace the circulation of paper money.
[/quote]
you are not even close to stratosphere of being correct about bitcoin able to replace the circulation of paper money in future. There are too many limitation on bitcoin to be able to replace the paper currency. Bitcoin is not safe for long time.. i've elaborated this point in my previous comment. The amount of currency required to handle the transaction of single country per day is much more high than what bitcoin network can do in a week at this stage. Main reasons are slow blockchain network processing. This need to be changed, transactions need to be very faster then and then bitcoin has ability to stand a chance as alternative and cost efficient way of money transfer.
106  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think bitcoin ever be safe for any investment ? on: December 08, 2017, 08:20:30 AM
Not all. There are a lot of risks when you want to use Bitcoin to invest in anything in cryptocurrency world. It's the reason why there are some people earn but also some people lose when invest with Bitcoin. But everything will be fine if you have enough experience and knowledge about which you will invest in with your Bitcoin.
but if you want to invest right now I think the risk will be very small, because you can see bitcoin is still in the stage of rising trend and if you buy now you can get a profit very easily in the near future, because it is still an uptrend, so wait what else? buy bitcoin right now
Sad Just wake up after a short rest and know that I missed a big chance to earn more when Bitcoin down to 14.500$ Sad It rise back to more than 16k$ at the moment Sad. So bad Sad. Maybe I'll try to earn a little bit more by joining signature campaign in this forum but I think i'll not invest my money into Bitcoin cause I don't have much cash and the my main income come from here Smiley)

I think bitcoin is the safest one for the any investment, bitcoin not only make invest safe but also it promote the invest and make the value of the invest high form the value when it was invested in the bitcoin, because the value of the bitcoin increase which increase the value of the invest directly. bitcoin is also safe for make invest in the project because it is online and you can get the help from people all over the world, which can make your project more successful, while in other you get only the help of the local people.
Bitcoin is NOT the safe option for any investment at all. Let alone safest. With high gain comes high risk. Bitcoin is yielding highest profit at this moment. There is no doubt about it. However at the same time you need to understand that bitcoin is not regulated. This unregulated nature which allowed bitcoin to grow so rapidly could also be the cause of its downfall as well. Remember prices will not go down till there is saturation and there is time for it. Today anyone with deep deep pockets could manage bitcoin trading patters at his/her will.
We have the time to make huge with whatever you have right now. Because price will keep rising. Now that you will have to work with satoshis instead of a whole bitcoin.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: best altcoins to invest on: December 05, 2017, 08:03:11 AM
Hi,

I am new to crypto and am planing to invest some amount in following coins. Please let me know these altcoins are good or need to change.

IOTA,
digibyte,
cardano,
adex,
ripple,
bancor

Thank you .

I think you can put XEM on your great list and I believe that XRP will pump next year.
XRP is kind of off after their debacle early this year. thus it is better to stay away from it. Coming back to the OP, what is your holding period. How long do you wish to keep the coins? That matters a lot. If you are planning to keep the coins for more than two years then most of the coins are good. I'll still advice to keep xrp at last place.
108  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can you refer any campaign that is accessible for us newbies? on: December 05, 2017, 07:50:56 AM
Can you refer any campaign that is accessible for us newbies? I really am having a hard time finding one, so if you can help us we will be so grateful hope we'll succeeded together. Thank you
I would suggest instead of focusing on participating in the signature campaigns at the newbie stage, you should use this time for studying the various ways of earning the satoshis from the forum. For example, you could check the bounty section which offers not only signature campaigns but also facebook campaigns, twitters campaigns, bounties, translation bounty, logo designs, webpage developers, blog writting. You could earn decent with these type for time being. Meanwhile check the rules and study how to be a better quality posts writer.
109  Economy / Economics / Re: short term investment or long term invesetment on: December 04, 2017, 09:22:46 AM
Watch the people who bought some bitcoins few years ago and picked a long term investing strategy. Now they are very rich people(if they HODL) still.
What is more, long term is much easier than short. Basicially trading is not eay taks, maybe here in crypto it is a little bit easier than in common stock exchanges because of huge boom which we have currently.
Well, with other alt-currencies are also on same track of returns. Like if you check the price of litecoin a year ago or so, it was somewhere 8 USD or something. Now it is 100 USD. That is within a year your return on investment is 10 times. Same with monero, a year ago it was around 24 dollars and was there with steady pricing. Now it is at 180USD. Same with the Ethereum, it was 25 dollars and now it is 400 usd. Thus point is with alt-coins you could still earn profit. Just make sure to stick with it for long. A person with some stock money which can be experiment with can return tremendous returns or some times it could crash and burn as well.

Most of indian bitcoin traders charge heavy premium compared to the international market. Though they have declared the reasons for the prices being high on the Indian exchanges or vendor compared to the international counter part, you could call it as bulls**t. Nonetheless long point short, they are here to earn profit. There are other exchanges which allow better pricing compared to these vendors.

118  Economy / Economics / short term investment or long term invesetment on: December 02, 2017, 01:35:46 PM
When it comes to the investment, many newcomers or people with frequent requirement find it difficult to invest for longer amount of time. Here by short investment i mean any investment which is less than year old. That investment has been cashed out within a year. And by long term investment I mean investment which will be kept for more than year ( ideally 10 years or so).
What do you think which is more beneficial short term investment or long term investment
119  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Cryptocurrency regulation - pls explain on: December 01, 2017, 04:37:45 PM
Hi!
I'm a cryptocurrency newbie and have very basic/dumb questions about regulation. Here goes..

1) What does regulation mean in practice? Is it like they want to register people who invest or something? Is it all about taxes?
2) Why does governments want to regulate crypto?
No government can regulate the cryptocurrency at this moment. Because the very nature of decentralized crypto market it is not possible for a country to regulate the prices of crypto. They could curb on ICO.

3) I see "securities" a lot when googling regulation. Are only coins/tokens that governments deem to be securities in danger of regulation?
4) What are the drawbacks (& advantages?) for an investor who discovers his/her crypto investment is to be regulated?

Thank you for your time & patience Smiley
Looks like you are  googling  with less correct phrases. If you are interested in the crypto then decide which crypto you find promising. Almost all investor find bitcoin as ideal investment. Most of countries in this world allow purchase of bitcoin. You pay taxes depending on your country.
One thing is sure, each country is treating bitcoin and crypto differently. Thus you need to find the laws in your country. Check which local (countrywise) exchanges allow purchase and sell of crypto.
Depending what kind of regulation being proposed by government decides advantages or disadvantages.
120  Economy / Economics / Re: Almost All Cyrpto Currencies Are Down At The Moment on: December 01, 2017, 04:30:44 PM
Price always depend on the supply and demand. If supply is less than demand then price will go for high and if demand is less than supply, then price get down. It depends on selling rate also.
Price dependence on supply demand is basic or fundamental of price pattern. The real reason lies in whether that supply and demand is natural or staged one. Many times the natural supply and demand in the crypto mostly alt crypto is observed when investors of bitcoin want to transfer the value to some safer alternative crypto.  This causes the rise in crypto price. When correction is over the bitcoin starts to rise again, then alt crypto value is transferred back to the bitcoin. Some people this way.
Many times, in the alternative crypto you could see that a sudden price surge is observed where the price goes more than 100% up within few minutes and after hour or two plunges back to somewhat original. This is typical pump and dump where investor pumps money in choosen low value crypto , after others starts to trade n purchase that crypto original investor cashes out investment with good profit.
