is LETH still working hard for early investors? i've actually found three threads here and getting concerned maybe it's dormant. well, that could make the supply trend lower as eth wallets tend to get lost easily...

 just in time -- i have the windows DO wallet synced and completed two receive coins from Cryptopia. however, on a test send back there's a red line on the DO address and i haven't been able to send even small amounts. incidentally, i missed the last two airdrops so my thinking was we get dropped if the third is missed. so, aside from sending my balance from Cryptopia, i've done a backup (onionbackup.dat) and sent it to my email. lastly, it shouldn't be hard to change the DO address here and at the official DO forum, right? edit... contacted support and was advised to type "repairwallet" in the debug section of the wallet. i did but still can't send out coins. still haven't sent bulk of cryptopia balance and won't until sure. edit... just now used DVault successfully and one onion was taken from my wallet, so it's sending this way but no other way...  edit... just now used the same DO address from above trans and it works fine (sent 0.025). still can't send to Cryptopia address and red line still there. edit... now it's sending to everyone!! sent 0.03 to Nova then 0.03 to Cryptopia and no more red line. thanks for reading, should be okay now.

i can see why people become discouraged at bitcointalk and go on to get probably doubly discouraged in their new homes like Telegraph and to a lesser extent, Slack.
why not pay Onions in these posts right here instead of shifting frustrated people to twitter? i need some help with the .conf file and will send 50 onions for a working solution. any takers?
1) Download .conf file at: https://deeponion.org/DeepOnion.conf2) Paste .conf file on %appdata% DeepOnion folder. To do this click on windows button, search for "%appdata%" Click on DeepOnion folder and replace DeepOnion.conf file. 3) Restart wallet and it should now work with no issues. I don't need the $Onions though, just keep them.  does anyone else want them? here's the issue, the tutorial is win8 while i have win7. so, maybe this is important although this article says they're the same. https://www.theverge.com/2012/6/29/3125837/windows-8-file-explorer-name-replaces-windows-explorerif it's a free upgrade, i'll do it. but it's probably not free and like most people here, cash flow is restricted.  progress update: had the wallet open earlier today but it's not anywhere i can see now. my path looks like this when i search on "%appdata%" C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\DeepOnion i could easily drop the .conf file (saved as not text) if i understood this sad file explorer better. also, there's just a folder called onlon with two files in it, hostname and private_key. i'm sure the helpful poster boys and girls (hero members probably) will start with the lavish jpegs now that wednesday is here. kind of a celebration like the end of a bull fight, really fair but of course. |

i just dislike windows so much it causes me to loose perspective. so, the deep onion wallet is actually doing all its functions on the tor network from what i am understanding. i've always greatly disliked what bg designs and file explorer is no exception. i'm sure many will disagree but i also can't stand grub so i'm rather in a pickle. additionally, is the linux wallet version Ubuntu or debian? i can install either of those in a puppy linux flavor if the onion team wants to look into puppy. my handle below is bankwtf and we can talk there too. actually, their use of "pets" could possibly eliminate all the little things that slow wallet adoption. http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/index.php |

hey, deep onion members. does somebody want to earn let's say 15 onions? i just bought a used laptop to participate in airdrop 18 and missed the last two. running win7p and have the do wallet installed but it's syncing still.
i guess my biggest concern is the .conf file. yes, i've read much/most of the help files at the do forum and left a question there too.
i think all i need is a better understanding of doing the %appdata% search... when you say to bring up "explorer", i don't see the same file explorer that some of the help answers display at the onion forum. i've done the search and it comes up without any indication of finding files/folders called "onion". i can't imagine missing another airdrop...
i just sent a fractional amount from cryptopia to the new wallet and naturally it's not yet here. thanks very much, as always.

Noticing Cryptopia and not NovaExchange is the recommended exchange. Hope Nova is alright because that's my only connection to these airdrops.
NovaExchange is temporarily shutting down for a ownership change. So they have stopped deposits of coins, including DO. DO devs/mods kicked into high gear and got us listed on Cryptopia in a flash. I believe Nova will restart and you'll likely be able to trade DO again, but that'll be a bit further down the line once Nova has made the transition. Well, your answer seems wrong in two regards. 1) onion deposits are still accepted. 2) the shutdown only lasts one day next year - hardly a shutdown. Really? Unless something has changed. "2017-11-30 Deposits disabled for ALL coins, all users get level 3 verified account level" Edit: To add, they also show that the trading engine will shut down in Feb and all User data will be removed in April. Seems like it's hardly just a simple "shut down for one day" thing. Yes, good points. Would you please answer my updated earlier question? Hi 9Bank, You should understand that you do not control the private keys of the NovaExchange wallet. NovaExchange can, at any time, move your funds from one address to another, you would not even notice it and be credited the same ONIONs. Exchanges move funds from hot wallets to cold storage from time to time. Nova obviously did something after announcing they were closing shops. You are not the only one as far as I can tell. Never leave your ONIONs on exchanges. Download the desktop client, get familiar with coincontrol and you are all set. I would call your answer incomplete as I made it very clear I definitely understand how ONION addresses work. Furthermore, I reinforced this fact by saying I`d buy a laptop when I can afford one. With this coin, what is a good amount? Can't get enough. What's a good amount? Never invest/buy more in crypto coins than you can afford to loose. There's no telling how high it will eventually go, the new Wraith protocol is very promising. However, before we all get to see how it actually works the recent rise is hype. This is not a pump and dump, development on this privacy coin has been ongoing for years. The goal remains to create the most anonymous cryptocurrency. With wraith it now has what no other coin has: the choice to be 100% anonymous. PRICEPrice projections are pie-in-the-sky at this point and therefore misleading. It will definitely go much much higher, but expect severe corrections on the way up. If you just got in between 0.005 - 0.008 you are now making a profit and it will go higher, but expect those who got in at 0.0005 to be taking profits of the table soon. Strong hands who hold on for the long haul will benefit the most.
