101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Year of changed altcoin discussion mentality on: January 08, 2020, 03:29:05 AM
It's a new year guys and we all expect changes and this changes we expecting them to be of the positive side.
And especially we need that positive Energy directed towards the altcoin discussion section.
If this section is free from all the vices or bad posting it would become beneficial to everyone. We have so many investors some who are not yet even registered but Check up on the forum for information or something they can lay there hands on to direct them so it becomes bad when the get to read so much post which are not useful to anyone.
This is a new year and there might just be a good chance for altcoin to raise. And a good conduct here on this section would go a Long way to increasing the Chance for that

Ugh, this is not all about the comments made by unknown and random people. For sure investors have the right mind to study and research on the projects they want to invest before they actually do it. They do not just read what is written by members here who are not even bearing some badge of credibility.

Every altcoin project has its credential that investors can scrutinize.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Mining on a cell phone on: January 08, 2020, 03:05:11 AM
I am mining Pi for about 2 months and still the only function of the app is a bottom where you click on mining and that´s all. No use case for the token, no exchange listing, so why we should use the app?

Is this the same PI of PCHAIN or is this different? PI of PCHAIN is already offered in the market. But this PI that we are discussing here is different, right? They have the same ticker that is why I am confused.

PI Network is not yet on any exchange right now. I think they are still on development process.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If Altcoins Won't Moon Can't I Just Short the Hell Outta Them??? on: January 08, 2020, 02:42:55 AM
I waited for alt season for many months now and it seems that instead of a bull run, all I do is bleed. So, I'm thinking this hodling thing ain't working for me anymore, is there any decentralized platform that allows me to short all possible altcoins out there? It's time to bet against the market.

Unfortunately, for now, I'm only aware of the fulcrum.trade leveraging platform. It only allows me to short a few cryptos: Eth, WBTC, LINK, ZRX and KNC. Need another one with more options.

Any ideas guys?

Look for exchanges that offer leverage trading and you will find all the coins that you want to short. But before doing that you have to know that your decision is purely based on emotional outburst. In other words you are like a desperate person trying to waste everything because his expectations are not met. And do you know how this will end up? This will only drain your account of the last value it got. If you are this emotional you will not really thrive in this crypto world. Harden up your hand and don't fold.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto history making year 2020 started it's journey ! on: January 08, 2020, 02:22:30 AM
We are hoping with crossed fingers that this year 2020 will be the year of history and of turnaround. But we should not be setting too high an expectation or else we will be disappointed in the end because of it. Because the truth is that we do not know yet what will happen within the year. We are all positive of block reward halving, Ethereum 2.0, and other developments but we cannot remain too confident that everything will be smooth this year.
although not smooth, but expect a change that is better than last year's price.

I also hope that many major events this year will increase positive demand. as investors, maybe we will be lucky enough to buy at an affordable price. In addition, I also expect good news from how to get the latest earning method that no longer ends without value, or even scam.

I almost forgot, we do not have a smooth road after all. The path of crypto is always bumpy and has a lot of obstacles. Well, so be it. I am used to it. I have been rocked several times and even worse. I know we all went through the same ordeal after the happy days in 2017. The year 2020 appears promising though with a lot of major updates on the list.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STOs are still growing but very slowly on: January 08, 2020, 01:57:31 AM
Many thought looking up to STO projects because many of them failed since we start hearing the name but few STO projects still manages to break good records, I saw a great deal of pivotal STO development, including Blockstack, a $33.8 million Bond-I by the World Bank, a $20 million bond on ethereum by Santander, and an association with Asia's biggest land speculation trust to dispatch Connection REIT. All things considered, buys were delayed due to

1. Persistent regulatory concerns
2. Little value add beyond higher relative liquidity which wasn't enough to convert most investors to purchase STOs

But truthfully the space is growing but just slowly

STO is old. It came out even before IEO came out into the market. Security Token Offering, more known as STO, is just almost similar to ICO and IEO with slight differences. Perhaps the only difference between ICO and STO is that the latter is offering security tokens. But both are public offerings. I think the success of this kind of token sale still depends on the specific project.

107  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bitcointalk Account seller on: January 07, 2020, 03:38:35 AM
No need reporting today because the account is already tagged for "Account sales encourage scams, spam, and account farming." way back in October of 2018. That is done more than a year ago already. Everyone dealing with this user will see that the account is already red-tagged. No one will be dealing with this user illegally thanks to the red tag.

Now this Central Banks Come to think they have rights to touch crypto?

Im quite sure that they themselfes holding crypto 4 sure

I am afraid they have, not just the rights but also the privilege. Crypto is not owned by anyone. It is not registered as a trade mark of any company or business. In fact, the codes are open to the public. Everyone can copy it, change a little here and there, and they have their own version of cryptocurrency. That is also something the very powerful central banks can easily do.

U and I can be afraid Yes but what can you do??
Notting!!

If I resist they have Military to kick your butt!

So whoever got power has power!
They might play Nice at first with their laws rules and regulations..... But later on I dont think its all will look so soft and Nice

There is nothing we can do? You are wrong. Do not be too defeatist in this situation. You are giving up even before it happens. Why too weak and pessimist?

If you resist they will have the military kick your butt? What are you, an independent nation or a group of rebels or a private army? You are only a single citizen. And you can actually do something.

Have you ever heard of civil disobedience? We will not use their crypto. We will use Bitcoin instead! That is good enough resistance especially if everyone does that.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coin you love to see die soon and why? on: January 07, 2020, 02:57:37 AM
Right now I would recommend BSV and DOGE. I really hate these coins. Bitcoin SV because it is a scam coin created by the ultimate crypto-fraudster (Craig Wright) and DOGE because it is a parody coin which refuses to die down. I was holding some BTC in my wallets, so received BSV from the airdrop. But within minutes, I dumped that coin and converted it to BTC.
Why hate dogecoin? I wouldn't argue with the other coin but why is it that you don't like dogecoin? It's a known meme coin and despite of being like that, look how far it is right now. One of the most old altcoins that seem to be a joke but became useful during the times of need.

It's one popular coin that's being used as what it used to be as alternative crypto when bitcoin transfers are too expensive.

Same here. I am confused why people are hating Dogecoin when it is very much in actual use in real life nowadays. I am wondering if they are even using cryptocurrencies to make an honest comparison. Using Bitcoin is oftentimes costing us huge in transaction fees. With Doge, the fee is much lesser. Doge is actually efficient especially in terms of tipping and even gambling.

It started as a parody coin and then what happened? People actually loved it, they used it, because it was more efficient.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Mining on a cell phone on: January 07, 2020, 02:37:07 AM
I have also heard of this Pi token which can be mined through a cellphone. But I am wondering if how much it could drain my battery because my smart phone is basically designed when I am mobile. I may not be able to reach my contacts because a few hours is all it takes for the whole battery to drain because of this.

Another question. What if you are turning off your data or your wi-fi or your smart phone itself, will the mining also stop?
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coin you love to see die soon and why? on: January 06, 2020, 03:39:34 AM
I really want Bitcoin SV to die as soon as possible, because it has harmed many investors because of the hype for just a moment.
I am more happy call Bitcoin SV as shitcoins, because it must be BSV immediately become dead coins. Especially its creator
Craig Wright never get bored claiming to be satoshi nakamoto, this makes the name of BSV worse. So there is no reason to defend
BSV. Hopefully there are no new investors or newbie who buy BSV, because it will only suffer losses.

I forgot I haven't posted a coin I love to see dead yet. I am voting for this one also. Let all the forks of Bitcoin and the forks of their fork die. Bitcoin SV and Bitcoin Cash should all go together in their death. They are all copies that claimed to be the original, shittier than shit.

Add to them all the thousands of shitcoins in this suffocating crypto world.

Whats Ur take on that?

War situation USA Trump Economy and crypto Currrency?

Do u Think that current situation have any impact on crypto?

More or less, big events that affect the whole world will have an effect on Bitcoin. But it may not be direct, because Bitcoin is still isolated somehow from the economic slumps, trade wars, and even violence in some countries. But in the long run, everything is connected. Bitcoin may rise or fall due to the events in the world. If there is a fall or uncertainty in fiat's value, for example, Bitcoin will somehow serve as a safer way to keep their money's worth.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next big thing in crypto? on: January 06, 2020, 02:34:43 AM
I am still waiting and hoping for more businesses that would integrate cryptocurrency in their accepted payment already. This would happen more easily if transaction speed would be increased significantly and the fees would also be decreased significantly. This would encourage not just the businessmen to integrate crypto in their business but also the consumer to spend them in their purchases.
Others are still not into using yet as they are waiting for the time it will have a mass adoption it can be in bitcoin, fut for some alts that are really created as payment coin then we should really use it to let others know and be aware that something like this exist and this is much helpful than the traditional ways we know.

Mass adoption will not easily happen if the people owning Bitcoin cannot spend them in shopping centers, coffee shops, hotels, resorts, restaurants, and more commercial and business establishments.

Before altcoins came out as alternative cryptocurrencies to Bitcoin, Bitcoin was already there as an alternative currency to fiat. Bitcoin was created as a payment tool. Bitcoin should be used first in payment before considering altcoins.
Well it will be really hard for us to spend bitcoin oftenly to buy some stuff because the initial thinking of us is to invest it and not spend it because of the fear of losing some big opportunities when bitcoin pumps up. Well that is before but now bitcoin has a really big value so spending it or using it as a payment is like a wrong move for every crypto enthuasist so altcoins are really the best choice. Our individual efforts is what we need in order to close the gap between our vision and reality because if we will continue on waiting then were wasting time, make bitcoin and altcoins known to your friends and loveones and we'll see progress.

So how do you make your friends and loved ones know Bitcoin? Do you just tell them that Bitcoin is a form of store of value or an investment opportunity? Do you only tell them that Bitcoin is going to be more and more expensive someday that you need to buy them today and keep them without spending a bit? I guess that is how the majority of the people treat Bitcoin. In that way, Bitcoin, which was originally made as a form of currency, as a payment method, is slowly dying.
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coin you love to see die soon and why? on: January 06, 2020, 02:14:28 AM
Does Dogecoin have a purpose? I don’t care if this one dies because I don’t see any reason for it. Maybe someone can explain it to me but I just don’t get it.

It does not mean that if you don't see any reason for it the coin does not have a purpose. It would be better for you to get to know the use of Dogecoin first. You are talking of a coin that is worth hundreds of millions, ranked 28 overall, and with a very large community and users. Why don't you start with those shitcoins ranked 4,000th lower and with zero volume and marketcap?
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just a quick warning on: January 05, 2020, 03:58:58 AM
No matter how promising a project might look, especially if they are new projects just look them as if they have nothing to offer and invest only what you can afford to lose. Do not keep your eggs in one basket, do you fall in love with a single coin, no matter how good they are always keep digging, many more good gems won't hurt than relying on a single gem 💍. Be smart

Same old same old advice. They never die. You know why? Because people still need them. They are still doing the opposite.

It is better to treat all projects, especially new ones, scam or failure until proven otherwise. And when they prove to be legit and their prices rise above, sell yours, it will not probably last.

Lastly, keep only your Bitcoin and top altcoins.

118  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold and blockchain Technology on: January 05, 2020, 03:17:00 AM
If the blockchain Technology rises more miners more it Technology and servers and computers.

Then the Gold Price will Go up as demand too
Coz Every electronic device need gold Gold is best metal for Electrical wires and small things.

Gold / electricity/ blockchain are similar asset or resource group

That's my Conclusion:)

Wait a minute, we have a lot of technologies here in our home and I cannot see a single one that has gold electrical wires and other stuff. The only stuff that has real gold here are jewelries and that's all. Your conclusion appears to be based on something wrong.
No he is just right dude, some computer or its components have golds and other materials but of course you can't see it by just looking outside, it is inside of them just like computer wires and circuit boards, it contains gold but i kinda disagree with gold having a high demand for we don't need that much and the world are using not just gold but also other materials so gold will still be the same and not be affected by blockchain technologies in a way that gold will have higher price for its high demand.

Just like the gold in sim cards? That's too insignificant. Well, it is still gold but that's not really much. And if the companies manufacturing all these things will see that gold's price is rising and that would make their products more expensive, they might switch to other materials not so expensive but equally efficient. I still can't see the connection.
119  Economy / Economics / Re: You want to get rich, don’t pay taxes, don’t get married, don’t use bank, and... on: January 05, 2020, 02:56:33 AM
I don't agree to some of your advice or suggestions. Marriage is meant to be a blessing, and this shouldn't make one poor, payment of tax is okay in a decent society to ensure the fund is available to the government because this is their only farm.

you are right that marriage is not the way to become poor, and i know that some countries have rules to half the property after divorce but i think one should maintain their married life because marriages is not done for the divorce that one should afraid of it. And about tax payment i would say that in a better society tax play a very important role.
In my locality there is a saying marriages are made in heaven, which means it is given such an importance. Marriage life is a life change in everyone's life, because till that it is two souls and once married two souls get united as a single soul. Everyone expect love, care, and one next to us to share our feelings. This gets fulfilled with marriage life, so at any cost should not avoid marriage. When it comes to taxation, if you aren't satisfied with the government then don't pay tax. I suggest this because the tax is being collected to do good to the people while very few governments does it right.

Marriage in your locality is somehow idealistic. In the real world, however, marriage is nothing but a ceremony which is done because it is necessary according to tradition. But it does not actually guarantee even those who are married themselves of a love everlasting.

Taxation is where the governments are getting their ill-gotten wealth. If I were to choose, I would not pay taxes. The people who have access to it are not using them honestly and properly.
He has a bad mindset about getting married. Being married or not cannot guarantee you if you're going to be rich someday. If you are single but you are lazy nothing will happen. The richness you wanted to is impossible most especially if you dont work hard and strive for success. When it comes to tax, in some other countries all their citizens are allowed to pay taxes most especially when you are already an adult so how come that you wouldnt pay tax? In every action we take the taxes are their like for example when you buy from the grocery, you will pay for the item you get including its tax. And tax is part of our daily lives.

Indeed, tax is something no one can get away from. The moment you buy food, you are already paying taxes. The moment you buy a shirt or a pair of shoes or even a piece of pencil or bread, you are already paying taxes. Where the taxes go, I am not sure but you are actually paying already. But if you have income that did not pass through a company such as a freelancing job, then you can avoid paying income tax from it.
120  Economy / Economics / Re: Grandma tell you to keep old coin in piggy bank on: January 05, 2020, 02:34:16 AM
Times change. The old paradigm is obsolete and has to be replaced with a new one that is based on the current and the future technologies. The blockchain technology, cryptocurrency, online transactions, etc are the ones that will be dominating the mainstream. It is time to say good bye to piggy banks, even actual banks, fiat and fiat savings, and so on.
