No, I want it to quit when its supposed to quit to mine another algo when it is time. It can't currently do that with a hard-coded 3 retries and 5 minutes of futility before it "gets it". |

Not sure what you're talking about. Linux and Windows miners for MNX were available long before Optiminer. But yeah, I'm not too sympathetic to the 13-year old Wind0ze whiners that can't setup Linux or deal with the memory leak that Optiminer has/had. This isn't a free lunch. You work and you get paid for it. Easier it is, less you get paid. Its how the world works and no one gives you anything on a silver platter just for your own economic benefit. |

You can restore all bitcoin address you have only with 12 word mnemonic, so it's not necessary to backup all the private keys. You better make sure to backup/remember those 12 words instead. But, backup the private keys if you still feel anxious  Hello, can you give an example of a situation when BTC owner MUST have private keys? In other words, a situation when 12-word recovery phrase won't be sufficient? For forks. Not all seed-protected wallets support exporting private keys, e.g. Ledger Nano S. |

Optiminer for Windows will not bring anything good. Only the number of miners will increase, and profits will go to many more people. This will ruin the profit of all Minex miners. That's why you will not even miner Minex but something else ((if you are normal). It's not clear to me that there are people who know so little about mining.
Optiminer already "ruined" Minex coin (it's not Minex which is a token); daily profit is substantially below other coins now and is no longer worth mining. |

What's the use case for BOAT? What unique features does it offer? Why would anyone be interested in it over the majors? Hope and expectations is not enough. This is a toy image coin better suited to Disney, Game Show Network or online gaming for bored housewives. Are we gonna go with that and run with it? How about a sweepstakes or lottery to win the Pirate's booty? None have succeeded with that concept yet. |

Being first to the game, it's only a relatively recent phenomenom. They have a "small fraction" of their 300,000 regular newsletter subscribers. Liquidity concerns always keep the total number of subscribers low in trading advisories, in the several thousands, hence the high price. In this case, you've got a lot of dumb money with a lot of capital. It's mostly old farts that have literally no clue about the cryptosphere other than what Teeka has taught them. Please don't buy from criminals illegally offering pirated subscriptions. |

It will take time to run out of reserves as of right now. Yes they do get 261 MNX per day but after block 500,000, then add 300 mnx per day and everytime the it reaches a certain block number, the minexbank will take a bigger cut from the miners. I believe it will be a while before they run out of reserves.
Not sure what you're referring to about block 500K. It'll be about 4.75 years since mining started before the Minexbank tax increases to 30% at block 900K. The algorithm needs to factor all this in as well. |

You could look at the top 10 or so balances on the rich list. The miners generate about 261 MNX to the reserves every 24 hours. But, yes, it is a concern. In the real world, [central] banks can and sometimes do run out of reserves when taking positions against the market/economic fundamentals. So far there's no evidence the algorithm is active and selling MNX to get the price back down to $28. But it will be necessary for the price to yo-yo, otherwise the algorithm will never get a chance to buy back any MNX to replenish its reserves. It is a delicate balancing act. It's best this all gets sorted before listing on any major exchanges. |
