Afternoon everyone,

Below are links to the polls regarding bounties, I'd appreciate it if we could get as many people interested in Renos to vote as possible as its important we try and hear from everyone.

Seeing a lot of talk about exchanges on here, I'm not focused on the trading aspect but I understand many of you are so these would be my preferred targets in order and why:

Bittrex (Good API, popular exchange = coin volume and attention)
Cryptopia (respected exchange for newcomers to the crypto scene, rising popularity too as of late)
C-Cex (Good API and will bring new attention to the coin)
Yobit (Functioning API (although not ideal for our multipool) and popular for new coin releases)

I'm a believer that coins should be added to exchange if the demand is there and would like to try and avoid paying for listings as that is money that could be spent better elsewhere. However if a few weeks down the line we haven't been added by any of these and its beginning to hinder our exposure to the cryptoworld and community growth then we should explore the options. someone mentioned it works out about 0.2btc for a cryptopia addition. I think that is the best value for money out of those 4 if we had to pay.

Also please if you havent already, join the slack as that seems to be where most people are gathering and having some discussions aside from what is posted on here:
https://renos-team.signup.team/ its also currently the best way to contact me as my PM's are still being flooded with requests for the airdrop Sad

Hi everyone,

Just a quick update before i head to sleep,

Thank you so far for all the coin logo submissions so far, its great to see such a rapid response from the community. Keep them coming because i really enjoy seeing other peoples vision of the Renos brand and community.

I sent all the required documents to bittrex today including ID verification, waiting to hear back on a response (if they give out responses)

The bounty votes will be coming up tomorrow so keep an eye for them, they will be coming out on twitter so please follow us @renoscoin if you havent already. I posted a small poll today about if there was a demand for a greek translation: https://twitter.com/RenosCoin/status/837254276737032192

Also a small update on recruiting for the core team, I've got a shortlist of candidates, I'm waiting to hear back from a few but i should have this set within the next few weeks max. If anyone would like to be considered then please drop me a PM as theres never such a thing as too much interest.

103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [RNS] Renos - A community Based Cryptocurrency on: March 02, 2017, 09:26:25 AM
Morning everyone,

Woke up to see that we have been listed on coinmarketcap:  http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/renos/

I've already received a few logo submissions via email so I'm excited to see what else people come up with. I seen a few uploaded to the old thread so if you posted them there can I ask you to submit to the email listed in the logo design rules otherwise they won't count.

I'm going to contact Bittrex today about looking in to adding renos, the multipool we are beginning to develop depends on a good API to buy renos off the market and distribute it to miners. It would be great if everyone could take the time to message them on twitter or their slack group.

How about that to raise money for a premium addition on Yobit?

to add coin at yobit a premium is needed 0.1 BTC
exclusive 0.5 btc
https://yobit.io/en/addcoin/

This is a good idea, as escrow i can manage this.

User who wants  to send money for yobit listing  should send to donation address

posted here
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1805861.msg18021067#msg18021067

33fgU4eAM52kSQNPS1s73vjXCQDe9BBiNc

when needed amount reached, funds will be trasferred to the right yobit YOBICODE

Our escrow, Parmabtc has posted an address to raise funds for a yobit addition, I think before we try and pay for it we should show them that there is a lot of interest to add the coin. I don't want the community spending unnecessary money if it can be avoided.

Later today I will be posting polls on bounty rewards, when voting take in to consideration that we only have 3m RNS in the development fund and that the coin has a lot of room to grow (we have less than a $30k marketcap)

I'll let you know if anything else unfolds today

hi everyone,

THE AIRDROP IS NOW OVER

Apologies to anyone who didn't receive coins, there was a huge backlog that builtup overnight and only a few people who sent requests today early in the morning received.

We've cleared out the airdrop in 3 days and I just want to say a big thanks to everyone involved and who showed interest, My mental target for completing the airdrop was about 2 weeks so my expectations have been succeeded immensely.

Coins are avaliable to buy here: https://www.coinexchange.io/market/RNS/BTC if you are looking for more.

I'm going to be setting up a new thread because this one is littered with addresses and people saying they sent PM's.

In the new thread PLEASE DONT REQUEST AIRDROP/POST ADDRESSES/REPLY SAYING YOU SENT PM.
The airdrop is complete and I'm looking to have more discussion on progress and hearing your guys opinions.

Will be posting about the logo competition tonight in a new thread so keep an eye out, I'll also post a link to it here
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [RNS] Introducing Renos - A community based altcoin on: March 01, 2017, 10:20:30 AM
I have not received coins((( Dev still have coins to hand out? Yesterday I wrote to you in PM.

looks like there are 280k coins left for the airdrop.

http://renoscoin.blockexplorer.pro/address/RQyi4A6b1Nogp7wTRety8xbBqA6dxnjDwr

I'll hope that I'm lucky and I get coins.

Just to clarify, thats "fake news" (lol)

there is actually 7.5m RNS left which means about 250 left to distribute and I have about 350 coin requests so about a third of you will miss out

Later once I have finished the airdrop distribution I will get round to announcing the logo competition

Thank you
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [RNS] Introducing Renos - A community based altcoin on: February 28, 2017, 11:25:51 PM
Hi Everyone,

Just giving a roundup of whats been going on today:

- we are down to just over 9m RNS left to give away which is an amazing achievement at such a quick rate. This equates to just above 300 spaces left in the giveaway. This means we are approaching the point where requests may get rejected as we are full. I am still following through with the no newbies rule unless there is a good (and provable) reason.

- Today was the first day RNS was tradeable on an exchange and I've just seen that its been a great opening day with over 4btc volume. Its really great to see so much community activity and I'm hoping that we can form a stable and liquid market as it will help open up some opportunities for the coin to expand.

- We have an escrow arranged with ParmaBtc - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=148873 He was an early Renos supporter and has escrowed for other coins in the past (the most recent being CBD Crystals and Coralpay.) He will hold the development funds (3,000,000 RNS) and the bounty giveaway (333,333 RNS) Which he will do so until we have a public escrow set up. He will also be setting up a BTC address incase anyone wishes to purchase extra giveaway coins (unlikely now because coinexchange has a market) or donate. These are the terms agreed and he will post a PGP message confirming it:

Coins can only be withdrawn for bounties or community approved projects and the intent to move coins has to be announced beforehand.
Parma will hold the coins indefinitely until a public escrow is created
Parma will recieve 5% handling fee of any RNS or BTC held. 30% to be given now and the remaining 70% in 1 months time

- Tomorrow I will be announcing a logo competition, there will be a prize in RNS and a "contract" to provide further graphics where required for the coin.

- I will be sorting out twitter bounties and signature campaigns next week

I've had some good initial conversations with people looking to help out with the coin and claim bounties/work on Renos based projects but there is no such thing as too many hands. If you are interested in claiming any of the bounties or getting funding to do a community project then please let me know.

I'm also looking for 4 board members as mentioned in the OP, I have a few potential candidates already but it would be great to see a few more

ALSO:
Made an official unofficial telegram room for Renos:  https://t.me/renoscoin

Thank you cryptotrout, I will join as soon as I can and it would be great to see a bunch of you there too

Replying to some posts:

Sent the dev a pm with my address , but I don't know if I qualify after last post...
Maybe an answer will be nice.

Unfortunately I can't accept newbie accounts anymore due to those trying to cheat the system and gain more coins, sorry about this although a brief scan shows on coinexchange shows coins are going for quite currently, If you and other newbies are desperate i would consider giving 30k coins for 0.025btc, These funds would go into our development fund.

mobile wallet dev Huh i wish you can make it for next plan
just try with windows wallet now already send you PM

goodluck for this project

Unfortunately mobile wallet is something I'm yet to have any discussions about, if you or anyoen else knows someone with the skills then please let me know

How can I receive twitter bounty?

Twitter bounties will be sorted out next week

bounty sending addres to PM still open dev
i can use exchanger addres or not
or must use dekstop wallet addres

You can use an exchange address if you wish although it would be nice to get as many people using the wallet as possible, it helps network stability/decentralisation

I have newbie status but have been a BCT member for over a year now. Mainly lurking.
I have 1800 Twitter followers: https://twitter.com/Crypto_Krill/status/836307821176074240
Already tweeted about airdrop Smiley

If its a case that you aren't a huge bitcointalk user but a bigger user on other platforms then please PM here and the other place so that I can identify you, I know there are lurkers on here who are good members of the community and I don't want to lose out you but it is very tricky to decipher between those genuine newbies and spam accounts
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [RNS] Introducing Renos - A community based altcoin on: February 28, 2017, 09:50:42 AM
Goodmorning All,

So quite a lot happened overnight from when i signed out, we were listed on coinexchange.io which is a great first step in gaining exposure but its a little funny that people have bids for coins that can be got for free  Grin

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1805861.msg18004298#msg18004298 Also check out Munti's post, I like the idea of supporting marketplaces and decentralised exchanges.

I'm beginning to get through the coin requests so they should be completed soon.

One thing that the listing on the exchange did reveal was that people have managed to cheat the system in claiming coins. I'm not too happy about that as the point was for even distribution although theres not much I can do now and I'm not going to let it impact on the positivity built so far. I had been checking date created, status and last posts of anyone below a full member to see if they were active members of the community but obviously that wasn't enough. I have attached a username to each transaction in my wallet so quickly scanning the blockchain reveals who did it. I have a list of untrustworthy accounts now and I think the most beneficial thing to do is to give them negative trust on here but if there are better suggestions then please let me know.

Unfortunately due to this I will not be accepting anyone with a brand new or newbie status and I will decline those I think are suspicious with junior and member accounts. Full member and above will continue to receive as normal

That being said, about 50% of claims have been from senior members and above which is really nice to see all the veterans getting involved.

Hope to provide you with another update tonight unless something comes up before then

Thanks,
Renos
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [RNS] Introducing Renos - A community based altcoin on: February 27, 2017, 11:01:44 PM
Hello Everyone,

Our first full day has been a successful one, There are only 16m RNS left to distribute meaning there are 535 more lots of 30k RNS to distribute. If you haven't received them yet then don't worry, I have a bit of a backlog on the PM's so i will be tackling them first thing tomorrow morning.

Thank you to those offering support or services for the coin, These take a bit more time to get through as they take more consideration than copy and pasting addresses and I will get back to you all within the next few days.

I have a member of the RNS community i am arranging with to hold the escrow and I'm just ironing out the details and doing due diligence to make sure the coins will be safe in their hands. Failing this I will contact SebastianJu who was also recommended. Longer term we are looking to have a public escrow which I am in contact with a team about setting up on their platform soon. I think its important to be as transparent as possible.

Once we have completed the coin distribution I propose we move to a new thread to clear it up a little. The thread is basically just people saying they have requested or recieved coins and won't look too appealing to newcomers. I'm going to set up a poll soon in regards to this.

I've not really publicized this but we have a discord in the OP. A few people have joined but once we get the ball properly rolling I hope for that to be the main community hub.

Also I'm exploring the best way to host a logo design competition, if you have any suggestions then let me know but i will have more details on this soon

Replying or adding to thread comments:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1805861.msg18001271#msg18001271 - Please if you have a chance do what andriebi has asked everyone to do. It will help grow a user base and in turn make your coins more valuable. It's the communities responsibility to let crypto services and exchanges that they would like to see Renos accepted there. The coins were free and took very little effort to get so its down to you guys about what sort of value they hold. Also having a constant staking power will add to the network stability.

This coin will not have a hard time getting a lot of support, because of the give away or the airdrop, the only negative side is people will dump it hard, when it hit the first exchange, dev should work out a good roadmap for his coin to minimize dumping,
Btw I just received my rewards.
you're talking about very important things, if no roadmap most just sell coins and will no longer monitor the project and will not help the development of...

The bounties are the roadmap, It's vital that we have a solid infrastructure and that the coin is accessible and relatively stable before we branch out onto bigger ventures. I've had initial talks with people for about 80% of the items on here so I'd expect it to be completed within a month or two. I do have big ideas about to take this coin but we need to get the basics right first.

Very fast network and no problems with sync wallet. I have between 10-16 connections and made first small stake already. What to say here, nothing special tech on this coin, but this is like back to time, when crypto was made for people and not for very few, who understand how works Ethereum and other Platforms.  Smiley This is pure and simple community oriented crypto coin.

I like this comment because that's exactly what its about. Once we have the community and support around the coin, we can move on to bigger and better things. Not many coins start from complete scratch these days.

30k coin received, thanks. Wink

And good luck!
You are lucky, i don't received it. I'm out to provide node. I'm lucky not to waste my time to create something or buy for this. Just wait dumping time

Yes it is, I had been recommended Sebastian Ju but if there is a member of the renos community already who the community feels is trustworthy then i would prefer that

118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [RNS] Introducing Renos - A community based altcoin on: February 27, 2017, 12:45:55 PM
Goodmorning,

Chain is beginning to move nicely along, POS coins are tricky to get going steadily until theres a decent userbase and people consistantly staking.
Coins need 60 blocks to mature and require your wallet to be open for stakes to begin.
We chose POS so that it was accessible to as many people as possible, big miners always have a monopoly on POW coins.
It would be great if people could stake as much as possible.
There isn't a huge reward per block as I don't think a huge increase in coins would be beneficial.

I'm caught up on all the PM's so far, We have sent out about 400 lots of coins in under 24 hours which is a huge success.

I'd encourage you all if you have a chance to contact crypto services and exchanges to consider looking into Renos.

I've had some good initial conversations with people about bounties and projects so I have to have some announcements on that front soon.

Also a big thanks to all the twitter activity. I will go through all tweets to distribute in a weeks time.

Hey, dev.

I submitted Renoscoin to be add to this online staking wallet https://poswallet.com/. It has an exchange and people can stake their Renos from there.

It also has a faucet system. You could distribute some coins from there too.

Please vote to have it added soon.

If everyone could help vote if possible to add here that would be great

any addnode ?
my wallet can't sync well

The problem is most peers on the network do not have a config file with "listen=1" i.e. everyone just wants to get the blockchain and not pass it on...
so i recommend adding that option to your config file and the network will role faster for everyone

EDIT:

Are provided bounties for translation on the local boards? I don't see them on the OP

The only translations I think would be beneficial would be russian, chinese, spanish and possibly japanese and I would be willing to give a bounty for these. If there is a demand for other languages then please let me know.

Theres a bit of a delay with the blocks as coins needs to mature for 60 blocks before they can stake. We are going let it play out overnight and if there are still issues in the morning we will sort them out.

Once transactions are getting more confirmations I will go through them and sort out conflicted transactions, as far as i can make out theres only been about 10 out of 250.

Thank you for all the support today, we've already given away 25% of our target in less than 6 hours which I didn't expect us to achieve. I'll be sure to keep up the momentum tomorrow and get the ball rolling with other items on the agenda

Goodnight

Hi,

Man does word of a giveaway travel fast! I've sent out nearly 250 lots of 30k and up to date with PM's for now.

there were a number of newbie accounts I didn't send any RNS to, so if you feel i made an incorrect decision then please remessage me to discuss.

if anyone received a "conflicted" transaction then please let me know so i can resolve it

Also a big thanks for the support and messages offering to do bounties or other projects, I'm working my way through these slowly as they take a bit more consideration than copypasting addresses

Hoping to get a community logo competition up and running for all the graphic designers out there which I'm going to announce in a few days so stay tuned
