Stole quite a few coins?  Undecided

No. cinni.dgbpool.com and it's not proven they're stolen. They are saying they were hacked. (doubtful)

Edit: Not proven who they were stolen by...

do you recall the net hash of that pool?  I find it hard to believe 660k coins were just sitting in accounts on that pool.

I don't. Though I was autopaying yesterday. Only lost ~80 coins of leftovers.

I think some coins were jacked by pool operator, not 660k. He is trying to play the victim.

I agree, anyone who was mining seriously there was autopaying, just like what several people have already say.

Yesterday they were also accepting shares and not crediting them. Then they released new pool ports and still accepted shares on the old port 4006. Gee wonder where those shares went too. probably lost 2k CINNI before realizing. I'm saying away from this pool in the future. And to think, I was donating 3% too.

ya, no way to be 660k.  its probably FUD.  can anyone mining with this pool confirm anything?

I can confirm no withdraws or payment address changes are taking place on http://cinni.dgbpool.com/. No RPC connection to daemon.

105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MEMEcoin- Exchange, Updated Info and Store Items on: July 22, 2013, 03:37:10 AM
Network seems fucked. I still can't connect to any peers despite adding these. I can verify my client is attempting to connect to them.

A transaction from a mining pool to Crypsy still hasn't shown up in an hour (Nothing to do with my client).
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MEMEcoin- Exchange, Updated Info and Store Items on: July 22, 2013, 02:09:29 AM
nice tip. Thank you!

Any good nodes up for this coin? Any good peers.dat files? Would be much appreciated.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [LTC] [PPS] [OTP 2FA] [Stratum only] LTCMine PPS mining pool (3.3%) on: July 01, 2013, 09:46:20 AM
It was a rewards calculation problem, caused by bug in vardiff handling by the new software. It was impossible to detect this problem using low hashrates, that's why offline testing wasn't helpful.

I hope more people come forward and send the funds back. I've been double-paid by an exchange and a mining pool and always sent the extra funds back. Of course there was a temptation to keep it, but that hurts the entire community as evidenced here.

Good luck and I hope the pool recovers.

Really unfortunate what's happened. I'm mining on :3334. I hope more honest users come forward. Did I miss it or was there confirmation of an attack on the pool or was this a bug?

Really shitty. This is one of the best LTC pools. It's really sad the amount of scumbagery seeping in to cryptocoins. With DDoS attacks, 51%+ attacks, scams, botnets, pool manipulation, etc. Really poor and pathetic.

I hope the pool recovers, Balthazar. You've been too awesome and helpful to deserve this shit.

I'm happy to dedicate my hash power to help out what little I can....

110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][FC] FC Simple Pool - dontmine.me [LP/Stratum] on: May 04, 2013, 02:28:44 AM
for those who get 5% rejects, are u guys using the stratum ??
im using the normal http://fc.dontmine.me:28339 and getting +- 3% rejects

Yes. and that 5% doesn't count the dropped shares for when stratum shuts down. I had to go to a PPS pool. So far I'm at 1.3% stale on a longpoll.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][FC] FC Simple Pool - dontmine.me [LP/Stratum] on: May 03, 2013, 10:09:02 PM
I have been getting about 5% rejects over the past few hours and the cgminer has been loosing connection to the stratum every half hour or so and I restart it.

My rejects also went up to 5%.

One trick to mitigate the stratum downtime might be to set the LP server as your backup pool. Though I do believe some shares are still lost when the stratum goes down.

I can't keep switching PPLNS pools and they all seem to be having problems, so I'm just living with the problems here.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][FC] FC Simple Pool - dontmine.me [LP/Stratum] on: May 03, 2013, 07:31:57 AM
How are the stales in the past 20 minutes? I just finished tweaking some things and I've got 200 accept 4 reject.

It's true, I had no idea I'd be pooling 1200 MH/s

MySQL Queries:
Total    per hour    per minute    per second
539 M   4.02 M   67.04 k   1.12 k

Block notifies are going out in about 50ms now, down from 2-35 seconds

If a new block coincides with the 1 minute window when the server takes a backup, it can be delayed a little bit which makes a stale trap.

Edit #3: 300:4

Welcome back I hope. Thanks for your work. Donation to 3.8%.

I have this FTC pool in a --load-balance setup with an LTC pool using cgminer, it was working well, but for some reason today cgminer keeps dropping fc.dontmine.me and only mining the LTC pool. Has fc.dontmine.me been going up and down, or experiencing lag or similar today?

It seems like all the big FTC pools today have had their fair share of problems. I've had problems with dontmine, is-a-geek and a little bit on featherpool. featherpool seems the most stable currently, but will be back at dontmine.me when the problems are sorted.  Perhaps it's an attack on the pools? Or just over capacity? I don't know.

I have been having trouble with LTC pools as well today. If this persists for more than a week I am going to have to make my own private pools for reliability and put up with the pathetic slow block discover rate. :-(

Ugh. And the net hash was way down on LTC today. Are you seeing slower blocks or connection problems? I was on ltcmine.ru for a long time. Figured I'd switch back when FTC either balances or crashes. It's had a bit of a "too good to be true" launch, but hey I'm not hating. Cheesy

Annnd it's not a scam....

Please be kind to the exchange. Mugen has done a lot of work on it.

(It's back up)
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptonit down on: May 02, 2013, 01:12:40 AM
Most clever scam ive seen
step one:set up a site that looks legit
step two: make it a pain to withdraws with google authenticator, so people keep coins in it
step three wait for a coin with mega hype
step 4 bee the first to exchange it bringing tons in
step 5 close down account take coins as soon as vircurex opens up
step 6 sell on vircurex

Perhaps. Though I hope not for that sake of many people.

I'll be more worried when my coins leave the wallet they're still in. So far that has not happened.

Perhaps a mass of people tried to withdraw to move to Virc. Or possibly the trading volume increased to the point the application couldn't handle. Or maybe the site was maliciously DoS'd with many micro-trades as has been seen on other and larger exchanges.

I'm not ready to call it a scam just yet. Could be, but not ready to call it as such.
117  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there a PPS Litecoin pool? on: April 23, 2013, 05:25:07 AM
I have been mining LTC at wemineltc.com for the past 2 days.
It's been good so far. They use round base PPS.

I think wemineltc is PPLNS. http://wemineltc.com/about.php https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=169249.0

Again, not saying PPLNS is bad! It just didn't work for me personally. Maybe it's better for higher hash-rate miners.
118  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there a PPS Litecoin pool? on: April 23, 2013, 05:04:45 AM
I am not even sure what that means!!  I understand PPS but not the other one you said lol

https://give-me-ltc.com/faq will explain PPLNS in detail.
119  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there a PPS Litecoin pool? on: April 23, 2013, 04:51:02 AM
I decided to roll with Give Me LTC

I wasn't patient enough with PPLNS beyond 48 hours. The numbers were simply lower than what I was getting with PPS. But perhaps I didn't stick with it long enough.

But plenty of people are happy with PPLNS, so go with it!
120  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there a PPS Litecoin pool? on: April 23, 2013, 04:42:00 AM
litecoinpool also has pps

Dang, not accepting new members.

Yeah, I've been trying to 3 weeks, but ltcmine is working fine. I was originally on notroll.in until the recent debacle there. I stayed even after the 25% was taken (as it worked out to about what I was double-credited), but then I noticed that some shares were not being counted (comparing cgminer stats vs. site stats) and that was the last straw.
