101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which gambling sites have 0% house edge? on: March 27, 2020, 02:36:00 AM
That's a rare occurence, I don't know any gambling site that doesn't have an house edge. And if they do have one then that is suspicious because why would a business-minded person ever think of a business that would not get a profit. Before gambling to this Zero house edge gambling site, make sure they are legit and have a good reputation.
102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does good side of gambling overcomes its negative side? on: March 27, 2020, 01:43:28 AM
With your pros and cons listed, you should also evaluate the weight or impact of each item. For me, the list of cons outweigh the pros by a large margin because most of the cons involve finance while pros tend to favor emotional.
103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will the gambling addicts do now that the casinos have closed? on: March 27, 2020, 01:02:40 AM
If I were to put my shoes in a gambling addict, I would probably have a withdrawal problem and I will be irritated for the time being. But unconsciously, I am thanking about this situation because it helps me rehabilitate.
104  Economy / Economics / Re: New Coronavirus Stimulus Bill In Congress Creates U.S. Digital Dollar on: March 26, 2020, 10:56:33 AM
Damn, they are making a digital currency to control the circulation of physical currency. I think this will be an ephemeral solution for the current crisis. I hope that this will be a threat to btc if this plan will ever be successful.
105  Economy / Economics / Re: Are we heading towards Recession? on: March 26, 2020, 07:27:48 AM
I don't think that it will come to that, people are just quarantined. Though the pandemic clearly damaged the economy, I think it will not come to the point where companies are laying off their workers.
106  Economy / Economics / Re: U.S. Recession short term on: March 26, 2020, 06:41:17 AM
This recession will have a big impact on the deciding factor whether the US economy will head to a long recession or a short one, China is making a good move, I commend that because for me that is how you play politics, you make a good decision out of the bad situation.
107  Economy / Economics / Re: Sans monetary stimulus and injections, how do you respond to an economic crisis? on: March 26, 2020, 05:50:49 AM
I propose that we should use cryptocurrency as a mean to give financial to people for relief operation. This ensures that the circulation of fiat will not be affected and there will less chance that a virus is contracted when you use digital currency.
108  Economy / Economics / Re: India - Complete Country Lockdown - Is it on the Verge of Economic Crisis ? on: March 26, 2020, 05:13:43 AM
If the government has a cleàr plan on what to do with the crisis, like relief operations for people that are in lockdown.
109  Economy / Economics / Re: I think I Found The Reason For Bitcoin's Latest Crash on: March 26, 2020, 04:25:04 AM
This is a interesting insight on bitcoin crash but I think this breakthrough still needs more solid evidence to be considered for a factor, there are quiet a lot of factors for the crash and some point the roots to the pandemic, this is a proof that is tested for a long time in many economic models.
110  Economy / Economics / Re: CoronaVirus USA - Open by easter? on: March 26, 2020, 03:22:44 AM
I hope that he will back up what he is saying because people are worrying, these kind of times are in need of responsible and reliable leaders. If US opens by easter as he says then economy will stabilize as soon as possible.
111  Economy / Economics / Re: Here is how Iran plans to use cryptocurrencies to evade economic sanctions on: March 26, 2020, 02:40:49 AM
That is a very bold move to go with against another country. I think that this is a very strategic move and these kind of plans are not new and they are proved to be drastic when executed. One example is the Germans try replicating a perfect copy of British notes to crash their economy during WW2.
112  Economy / Economics / Re: Help of cryptocurrency in globalization. on: March 26, 2020, 01:41:32 AM
Well, globalization aims to make a borderless world where anyon and everyone can connect with each other be it economically or socially. Cryptocurrency is one of the many that is laying the foundation to bridge those gaps and I think it is doing its job right.
113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to protect bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies from hackers. on: March 25, 2020, 08:54:27 AM
The safest you could do is consult a security expert, they know what to do and how to prevent this malicious schemes. Hardware wallet and paper wallet seems the safest. Next thing you should do is have a common sense, think for yourself, don't click when the link is fishy and trust your gut feel when you are deciding.
114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I realise Coronavirus is not a reason why on: March 25, 2020, 07:35:38 AM
There are other factors that play whenyou are considering the plummet of bitcoin but I think that some factors are rooted with the pandemic, we can't blame the people who are selling their holdings at this time. Maybe they are in dire need for necessities which we all should understand.
115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Calling the Bitcoin community to help battle COVID-19 on: March 25, 2020, 06:35:50 AM
This is really great though I don't have a PC, the least I can do to help is not go out and risk contracting the virus or spreading if I have it unknowingly. That goes too for other in this forum, wash your hands. This is the the time you can save the world by just being a couch potato.
116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and illegal activities on: March 25, 2020, 05:53:07 AM
I understood your point but the graph is very hard to understand, thereare overlapping colors which makes the graph confusing. If you can provide a cleaner bar graph many will appreciate. I am sorry that I don't understand the graph that you provided but this is a good insight on what is going on with the crimes and illegal activities that uses bitcoin.
117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How About Bitcointalk raise Money in BTC to Donate on fight against Coronavirus on: March 25, 2020, 05:08:57 AM
Your idea isn't bad, but most likely theymos (admin) isn't going to raise money for donations. Probably he will not involved with any kind of fund related matter on forum. There is so many reason and that's why admins never hold users fund. But I believe forum have enough fund (raised from donations, forum ads auction & fees) to donate for most effected countries. But question is, will government accept bitcoin donations? If not then nothing can be done. If government accept bitcoin donations then it will be a positive move for whole bitcoin community. But don't expect raise funds from community via forum admin.
I agree that they wouldn't likely donate, maybe they are using that funds for a project and we can't blame if they don't donate. Donation is something that is given without a hevy heart and a pressure from the crowd will only make it worse. The other better scenario is when they donate which is addressed by the quote so it is a very icky situation for the forum to join in.
118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC + Corona on: March 25, 2020, 04:24:04 AM
It may attract investors but the problem will be that people with no knowledge about bitcoin will not bite the hype but that is a easily solutioned problem. That information dissemination about cryptocurrency will surely help a lot.
119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How bitcoins is helping during the lockdown on: March 25, 2020, 03:45:04 AM
Bitcoin helped in making sure that transactions are completedwithout the hassle of using paper currency. This pandemic is very good for the reputation of bitcoin because it can help in making sire that people are trusting and knowing more about bitcoin.
120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Credibility in shock on: March 25, 2020, 02:52:26 AM
Don't worry about that, bitcoin endured lots of criticism and I think that it will stay here longer than you may think. How many times does bitcoin have to prove its trustworthiness, the problem is not with the cryptocurrency but with the people who are handling it.
