Please post always MD5/SHA checksum of the client download, to verify that the download is not compromised.

See also: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=315938

I download http://dogecoin.org/downloads/dogecoin-qt-v12.zip now an have these values:

sha256: 6fc88daa16ce5b156d46daa6d801fd7ffb9d7bc0692d661706ebde0cf3cbcc91
sha1: 9108fa9db2dfac0aa3c540a4362b2fad269272fe
md5: 725d101016e45335bc0ddaee3791c464

Can somebody confirm this?

The antivirus scan results is here: http://virusscan.jotti.org/en/scanresult/50170acde163438c51814706aa71f78ed7cdb61e/20d005c6ac888a65f6b3814c875565f470746554

Maybe one hit W32.Net.W.Allaple.gen is a false positive???
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: An Important Message to all Crypto-Currency DEVELOPERS* on: December 20, 2013, 01:22:18 PM
And of course please always utilize and include SHA-256 Checksum details so we can ALL verify what we download are not compromised by way of an end users SHA-256 Checksum Utility.
That's my wish, too. But only a few developers play it safe Embarrassed
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MemoryCoin 2.0 (MMC) - CPU Mining on: December 20, 2013, 12:11:29 PM
Its recommended to scan the files in the compressed folder.
That should a good antivirus programm do by himself...
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MemoryCoin 2.0 (MMC) - CPU Mining on: December 20, 2013, 10:54:33 AM
I didn't know why it's so costly to build some checksum after every compiling???

I downloaded the client from both sources, now:
http://www.memorycoin.org/downloads/memorycoin.zip
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-5Ax5kejTpMOWZjXzE1UEs0bG8/edit?usp=sharing

Has the same checksum:
sha256: ae7969d681ce775c4cae5c2939ee223125454c51523478fde0d944f3e76bbefb
sha1: 0fb629562eb573531bdac9ed77fc5db7a430e88e
md5: 746669a259a04a61548bb57a6a81b268

It's v0.8.52.0 from 20.12.2013 - 02:32

Scan results: http://virusscan.jotti.org/en/scanresult/1210a156db9ef752be1534048bb8a0302abe5889 is clear...

Can anyone confirm?

If they don't get my already earned BTC back, im not going to mine there anymore.
+1

The only way is to use a pool fee to to pay old bills. Maybe then it makes sence to mine there...
114  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Bitcoin Wallet Stealer? on: December 20, 2013, 08:05:17 AM

* Primecoin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=251850.msg3721907#msg3721907
* Infinitecoin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=225891.msg3721179#msg3721179
* QuarkCoin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260031.msg3719061#msg3719061
* ProtoShare: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=325261.msg3706191#msg3706191

115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2 all altcoin developer: Please, provide the hash of your downloads!!! on: December 20, 2013, 08:04:33 AM
e.g. i started request here:

* Primecoin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=251850.msg3721907#msg3721907
* Infinitecoin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=225891.msg3721179#msg3721179
* QuarkCoin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260031.msg3719061#msg3719061
* ProtoShare: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=325261.msg3706191#msg3706191

in the meantime the above developers has provide hashes...
Still missing:

* MemoryCoin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=370806.msg3990347#msg3990347

In the past, there exists some wallet stealer...
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MemoryCoin 2.0 (MMC) - Large Block Rewards Soon on: December 20, 2013, 07:49:22 AM
My first request of the hash values is from December 16, 2013:

Where can i find the hashes of the client download???

I get for 'memorycoin.zip' this:

sha256: fbd1553a2babe9755c79bc33177a15fe8c92f7972f373e51ca54b9f8604de965
sha1: af10bcdfce8e80887ea29bcb6c0e77beed4f36d2
md5: 68c37aa751148bd1a78e55ca441cf02f

Why does mostly developer doesn't protect the users?

And still there is no official hash values posted. Why?
117  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Bitcoin Wallet Stealer? on: December 19, 2013, 11:17:46 AM
Was ich nicht verstehe, das es immer wieder Altcoin Client Downloads gibt, bei den keine Hashes veröffentlicht werden...  Huh

Fully reengineered 50BTC is ready for beta-testing
Hello Everybody!

We have reached important milestone - we got all components of our new system up and running. All software was redesigned from scratch and currently we are ready for the public beta. We have applied our hardest effort working 24/7 during this two months to get back with the totally rewritten much more secure and robust code.

New system was launched on the new infrastructure with clean database. But we have migrated most of the user accounts and workers. All other data was backed up.

Another thing that we would like to share is that some of our users helped us to identify intruders who probably has performed the attack. We are still working on that.

At this moment we have enabled PPS mining and payout into BTC. In next few days we will introduce DGM and PPLNS mining modes.

Please note that at this moment system is still under heavy testing and development and we are highly appreciating any kind of your feedback on web-site, mining and user interface. Your support is very important for us.
Also we are continuing to communicate in individual way with our users to resolve issue with the old billing.

50BTC team wants to thank all people who are supporting us and especially users who have participated in alfa-testing!
Thank you for staying with us! We are working really hard to justify your confidence!

from: https://50btc.com/news/view/141

But why should i mining there??? ALL BTC set to 0!

First they must return our BTC... Then maybe start mining there... ..or better not...
