It is a logarithmic scale. I see at least five different hash rate levels. Maybe somebody can plot the 2009 hashrate estimate / block times as a linear diagram.

Also this graph  http://bitcoin.sipa.be/speed-ever.png shows wild fluctuations of the hashrate in 2009. Seems unlikely it was only one person mining. From the steps it almost looks like you could see single computers going offline / online.

Why does Satoshi not slow down / stabilize the price rise...  mid term the Bitcoin price would then rise faster.

How the heck can the engine be so slow? There is less than 11000 orders in the book! Do they match orders by hand?

I have been thinking about a good trading strategy but could not come up with something satisfying. Do you have a suggestion?

It should be relatively simple.

Premises:
80% probability of USD/BTC rising above 1000 within two years.
20% probability of price going to near 0 anytime the next two years and stay there.
1 trade per day max, better one per week

Of course it would be nice to end up with more coins than what I started out with but another goal is not to end up empty handed in the worst case.

Wenn es nicht so witzig wäre, hätte ich Sorge es könnte auf uns zurück fallen - á la "typisch Bitcoiner".  

Leute das geht zu langsam. Mit verschiedenen Browsern und TOR kann man übrigens mehrfach abstimmen

I think that is the case with most (all?) exchanges.

With a base fee it would not be a problem at all. A base fee makes calculations more complicated, though.

banning bots would be difficult or bothering to the normal users (pre order captcha?).

Also I think bots are a good thing as they stabilize the market. In theory at least.
