101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dual mining on: July 03, 2018, 07:31:43 PM
Would dual mining still make sense for people with free electricity? If so, which coin is most profitable?
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dwarf FPGA – the anti-ASIC on: July 03, 2018, 05:44:05 PM
I guess it is official now? This was a scam?

Are any of you guys mining and hodling ETH at the time being.

Basically it seems these days with a bunch of rigs, it will still takes many weeks to mine a single ETH.

Wondering if you guys plan on hodling until the Casper launch in the future where you can stake your 32 ETH and earn income like that without needing any GPUs or electricity.

Even before the Casper POS switch, I think they will further reduce the issuance rate to like 0.6ETH per block, I think that should cause a pretty hefty price jump due to the supply strain.

Basically think of LTC that was $2 back in 2015 and nobody wanted to mine it anymore and how it reached almost $400 last year.

I think you can't really compare the situation to LTC in 15. Back then there were way less players in the game. I feel like now a lot of people are still just mining since they bought the hardware. I think if the price is stagnant for a while more and more people will part out and sell their rigs. Also Eth will not do x100 in 1-2 years I think. But who knows.

I myself will keep my rigs, they are paid off. And i am preparing to build a couple more to mine some speculative coins. But only since I have free electricity and I am enjoying building rigs. It's more of a hobby than a serious money maker and I think right now it can only be seen as that.

Anybody who lost money should get a good lawyer and try to file a lawsuit. Maybe it is possible to track them down, if they were not careful with hiding their IPs (which I doubt). It's worth a try, though.

Does anybody know where I can buy the Onda B250 BTC-D8P boards cheap? Looking to prepare maybe 2 more rigs for when the new Nvidia gen comes out. Or should I rather buy the Octominer? I need compact builds since they are gonna be sitting in an office.

More information about cards as well as an updated roadmap would be great!!
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain launches the Z9 Equihash miner on: June 29, 2018, 03:28:01 PM
I am debating if I should buy the 2nd batch, since I have the $250 coupons?! What are you guys doing with the coupons? I have free electricity included in my apartment cost so I would be happy if I could just ROI in  half a year. But I am afraid those will become doorstoppers eventually?!
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain launches the Z9 Equihash miner on: June 26, 2018, 08:02:24 PM
Batch 2 is not being shipped, yet. Only batch 1. Just received my batch 1 today.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dwarf FPGA – the anti-ASIC on: June 26, 2018, 01:35:19 PM
I am glad I did not end up buying this. I was hoping for batch 2 - even prepared a PSU for it. Oh well, now I have a nice lab power supply for the next project.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dwarf FPGA – the anti-ASIC on: June 21, 2018, 12:31:34 PM
That’s the nice thing about ATX supplies. They also have a 5V line. My conversion has 1 5V connector and 4 12V. I would estimate I can power about 80 dwarfs with this.  Smiley If it is not a scam.. I did the conversion for another project but maybe I am gonna use it for a dwarf rig.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dwarf FPGA – the anti-ASIC on: June 21, 2018, 11:58:01 AM
I hope these are real. I just did a quick power supply conversion of a supply I got for free. 4 12V rails @18Amps each. So this thing could power a lot of dwarfs. So if this is real I will be building a nice rig with a ton of them.

113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain launches the Z9 Equihash miner on: June 09, 2018, 03:31:19 PM
I think people from batch 1 should still write Bitmain and complain, maybe they will give us a second miner from batch 2 instead of the stupid coupons.. I did my part and wrote on twitter and also created support ticket. If everybody does this, maybe we can achieve something.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Minexcoin - A new era of payments on: June 07, 2018, 01:28:40 PM
This is a long term hodl for me. Wait till the end of the year and the ecosystem is finished and we will be golden.   Smiley
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain launches the Z9 Equihash miner on: June 06, 2018, 09:13:43 PM
I am really upset, how they are treating batch 1 customers. I would rather get a second miner with batch 2 than two soon to be expired coupons. I submitted a ticket to them asking for this and will write on twitter. I think everybody, who is upset about this should do that. Maybe they will change their policy for batch 1 owners, if they get enough pressure.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dwarf FPGA – the anti-ASIC on: June 06, 2018, 12:42:22 AM
Who is Nicolas Garcia, can you give a link to his LinkedIn or some more info?
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dwarf FPGA – the anti-ASIC on: June 04, 2018, 10:39:19 PM
Can we get more information about the person/ company behind this? That would help people trust the project. Like who are the devs/manager?
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dwarf FPGA – the anti-ASIC on: June 04, 2018, 08:13:45 PM
You said they all have the same static ip? Can the ip be changed in configuration mode/by using a monitor? Otherwise it would be impossible to run more than one on the same network.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dwarf FPGA – the anti-ASIC on: June 04, 2018, 07:56:25 PM
I did contact you through e-mail on the 2nd of June and have not gotten a response. So it cannot be that you have responded to all e-mails already. And no I don't want you to spread out the PCBs on the floor, but you could just show us the open box so we see that there are a bunch more in there?!
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dwarf FPGA – the anti-ASIC on: June 04, 2018, 05:31:10 PM
Can you show us the open box and that there is really a bunch of boards in there??

Also: I contacted you though the e-mail and haven’t heard back.

And one more question. Why is the order number at 14000 if you only wanted to sell 5000 in the first batch?
