West Ham is one of the worst defenses of the league. Trust me I have Areola and I am quite pissed at myself for getting him. He will be out as soon as I have a transfer to use. Regarding those viable options I can tell you why not for every single one of them if you insists, write them in the post and I will pass trough them and comment. Only viable options for me when I can take into account everything are Arsenal defenders so leave them out. All the rest are bad options now, and I will rather not spend transfers in vain effort to chase a least bad one. And if Trippier hauls in just one of the next 5 games, he will outscore most of them if not all. Fixtures are bad for Newcastle and they have problems with injuries, I am not arguing that. I am simply saying there isn't a defender out there I want enough to use a transfer on him. |

I'm not saying Trippier is a bad choice overall, I'm saying he's a bad choice at this point in time. I see Newcastle conceding 2+ goals on average, and I'm really not sure how many they'll be scoring with most of their offensive players injured.
This is the aspect Trofo has overlooked; no one is arguing Trippier is a bad player, but he's in a difficult situation with bad injuries and a mental health condition. If I had Trippier, I'd sell him to smooth out the midfield and bench for a possible bench boast chip. I didn't overlooked it. My point is that I can't find a better combination for my team. I still have money in the bank, i have all the players I want to have, why would I transfer Tripper out? Newcastle played a couple of bad games just like they did beginning of the season, they will rise again and I am happy to wait. If I had wildcard maybe I would remove him, but not gonna use transfer on him. If they kept a clean sheet against Bournemouth nobody would have a problem with Trippier. Same way nobody would be looking at Solanke. Remember what happened with Doku? And every other high profile transfer. They all failed, you can't chase past points just pick players that are delivering constantly and for me Trippier is just behind Salah and Haaland. There isn't another player in the league that gets bonus points like him. Clean sheet or one assist and he is almost always on max bonus. That sort of thing compounds over the season. |

Jedna sezona i kasnije film da zaokruži priču snimljen na nogovor mora fanova i to je to. A onda ta neka dosadna sranja se vuku u nedogled. Čitao sam negdje da je osnovni pokazatelj kućama poput Netflixa kada odlučuju koju seriju produžiti za još jednu sezonu postotak ljudi koji je prethodnu pogledao do kraja naspram onih koji su stali usred sezone. Most of us got the point with the Czech Republic exiting in the quarterfinals. Tomorrow, i'll need some solid defense from PSG since I need a clean sheet from them to tie the score and if Trofo gets this right, then i'm done for this round. Well... I got lucky with that red card because my opponent had over 1.5 goals and under 5.5 cards while I got everything wrong  But the problem is tennis where I lost a point because jeremypwr went with Czech getting kicked out in the quarter final. I really hoped they can go trough after they won straigth 3-0 against Serbia. Oh well, it's 2-1 for me now and I guess it will be a hard fight until the end. I was too lazy to check but I am quite sure that was Serbia without Djoković since I can't imagine any of these Czech players even getting to tie break with him. Davis cup in this format is useless competition and it is really depressing to see Davis cup played in front of empty stands. Bring back the old format and a dash of football atmosphere to tennis. Nono, there was no chance for Wales to qualify as second as Turkey was 4 points ahead before the match started. The only remaining question was whether Turkey can defend their lead or whether Croatia can benefit from Turkey losing in Wales and claim the lead in the last match of the group stage. The draw was enough to secure that first position and that is why I went with Wales not winning the game. I also did it because Turkey has beaten Germany in the friendly game with a team that was also supposed to be a B-team of Turkey.
Oh, could be that I misunderstood something. Anyhow I'm glad Croatia managed to secure another Euro championship. I was starting to doubt it will happen after two loses in October. Last night they didn't play very good, but it was enough to secure a win. You did not misunderstand. It was peculiar situation. Team that finishes first is going into second pot and team that finishes second is going into third pot but due to other results third pot actually gives better chance of easier group on EURO. And that was known before the game, that is why Turkey used some reserve players but still managed to get a draw. Good move from sporting side, now let's see if they will get awarded for that with the draw. |

City is always rotating, I already have Tsimikas to cover good Liverpool fixtures, Gabriel to cover Arsenal and thinking of getting Saliba as well. Maybe James after Chelsea gets on better run and if he stays fit. And that is always a big if, with James.
I want to get rid of Cash and I have nobody to bring. If I did not have Trippier I would probably go for him actually, at least he gets attacking returns and bonus points.
Well, if you look at it from that angle, fair point. But if you take Walker for example instead, you've got an extra 1,5 mil or so to invest in the team. Maybe Walker doesn't outscore by himself, but him and a better midfielder probably outscore Trippier and a weaker midfielder. I would not go for Trippier for sure at this point. I do think he was a great pick so far, he did enough for the cost, but Newcastle might be getting into a really rough period. I'll give you one more angle to look at it. He outscored all players in the game with his price or below except Mbuemo. I for one would love to be able to play with 8 midfielders but it isn't possible. And while I can get value in mid even for 5.2M with player like Palmer, I can't get value in defense no matter how much I pay for it. If I did not have him and I was on wild card, he would be among first players in no matter current problems at Newcastle. You can't look at Trippier just as expensive defender, he is scoring more than enough to be looked at across all positions, and then he is one of the cheapest players available and what is most important, he isn't a mid so you can use those precious spots on other players. |

A question for you, why didn't Turkey loose this game? You had perfect opportunity to let Croatia take first spot and jump into second pot. Third pot look much stronger than second one and that loss would virtually guarantee you one easier opponent on EURO.

Maddison was another one but his injury stopped that unfortunately. Getting him off for a few GWs isn't a horrible idea given the club's present circumstances and the amount of money he sit on. With Burns and Shar out for a long period, he'll be playing a much deeper role. If he's getting anything out of those fixtures, it's a slew of yellow cards and getting into heated argument with home fans like last time. I think that Sportsbet free bets always had short expiration date, so this is nothing new, but someone can correct me if I am wrong. I had very good tickets last few days but Hungary against Bulgaria and one more team messed up my chances of winning something. International matches are one of my weak points It is different if you have to use the free bet until expiration date or if it has to settle by then. I don't think it actually has to settle even if it was written that way. Better now than couple of weeks later. Really disappointed with all those people, it shouldn't be that hard to let us know you are not interested in playing and we could have had one Div 3 with engaged players instead of 2. Div 3B will be very strange this season. Lot's of games will be 3:0 by default and participants will loose a lot of BSFL experience this season. On the other hand they have a very easy shot at promotion to Div 2 next season which should compensate at least a bit. |

More than 22 ACL injuries have occurred this season; there is no way you can blame the coaches and not FIFA for arranging these fixtures and increasing game minutes.
I am blaming FIFA, they are the main problem. And to make it worse they are making both EURO and WC even bigger and less appealing. It is all about the money and we will enter into place when football will start loosing its audience. Few years ago I was still watching every CL game, every big derby in Spain or Italy, every game on every EURO or WC. Now there is so much football that I am basically watching just Premier League, and some big matches in CL. Other leagues are ignored and it never crosses my mind to watch some stupid national team game, unless it is again a duel between top teams, Croatia or I have a shitload of money on it. |

In some cases it's perfectly logical. Look at what happened to Gavi yesterday - ACL tear in a fully irrelevant game vs Georgia. Odegaard did not play as well for Norway - in some countries the fans even understand these choices. In Croatia everybody would be fuming - all our players constantly play for the national team and the pressure to perform is high, whereas Norway has no such atmosphere/expectation in the national team. If I was a manager at the club, I'd do all in my power to keep important players from playing in unimportant qualifiers - and 80% of these are really unimportant. Gavi, at the age of 19, has a greater international legacy and is more patriotic to his country than Halaand; it's a greater honour to get fucked up playing for your motherland than it is to play for your club side. Gavi will be remembered for giving his all for the Spain jersey. Mikel OBi is Nigeria's most decorated player today after sacrificing his Chelsea career for the country. No international game is unimportant in Africa; every player wants to play. It is logical that some players are calculating. Haaland is well aware that his trophies and accomplishments will come from club football. His maximum with Norway is to maybe pass a group at some competition. Gavi on the other hand know that some silverware could well come from national team. Players should be always available I agree but national team selectors should also be aware how many minutes their players have in them and then rest them up in unimportant matches. If it is late stages of World Cup of course you play them but if it is a friendly or qualifier game against some week opponent, give a rest to tired ones. Spain could have won that last game with their 4th or 5th choice player on every position. |

Overall, the system of eliminating players that misses submitting answers 3 times is good to me. Even that, I’m at risk of getting disqualified but it’s only fair. I have one question, does the offenses goes away after playing the next rounds?
It is 3 offenses per season. Meaning you must submit all the rounds until season ends or you are out. Please do so, really don't want to go trough all the games and change them manually once again
Genaral remark for all late submitters. Also if you guys get disqualified, I am not sure if you are gonna be alowed to play in the future. Obviously you are not really interested in our competition and we prefer to have less players but those that enjoy coming here to thread every week and competing with the rest of the gang. Did not discuss this with my colleague crypofrka yet but I am leaning towards allowing offenders to play but making tham pay some sort of disqualification fee, maybe in the same amount div 1 players pay. I am quite sure nobody would forgot to post answers if they had to pay 2.5mBTC for the privilege. |

We already had to disqualify 3 players this season for late submissions. There is a couple of more on 2 offenses and just one more will mean disqualification as well. DireWolfM14 & Rikafip will not be replaced, all their games are from now written as 3:0 for their opponents and their negative points removed, just so that table looks nicer. Situation is not good but at least it show that our promotion/relegation system is balanced just right. All the problems are largely contained to Division 3 as we would like it to be. We know this isn't that good for engaged players in div 3 but nothing much we can do about that. use this as extra incentive to climb divisions and get to better leagues with much better rewards Quite possibly we will redesign Div 3 next season with engagement as the main factor.
