I don't understand what people are complaining about. Figuring out how to use IDEX is not that difficult. I find centralised exchanges a much bigger pain in the ass. Especially all the repeated security checks they ask you to do because they are more vulnerable to being hacked. Simple fact is DEX's are much safer and more in keeping with the decentralised philosophy of cryptocurrency. You don't want the government or the big banks to control your money but you hand that control to an exchange owner? Makes no sense.

You have to remember that these are start ups and that most of them won't be around in 5 years. You are already starting to see coins being delisted by exchanges. There will be natural flow of new projects starting and failed projects dying, it is just a lot more visible with cryptocurrencies because in the past there were no liquid markets for startups and they would not even get on most people radar until they were already successful.

A lower available supply will theoretically increase the value of the individual tokens, but that also has to be balanced with the fact that an ICO that failed to raise anything close to its hard cap will mean a lower market cap and with that it may be unattractive to exchanges to list. Being listed on popular exchanges can be very important in the short term when the project is largely trading on its speculative value.

The leading source of dumping is people that purchased during the private or presale at a substantial discount. The way to prevent that dumping is to require that they are subject to mandatory holding periods. ICO's don't want to do that because without that substantial discount and the ability to sell it as soon as it starts trading these people would not invest. As an investor you can avoid this by not investing in projects that offered large Private and PreSale discounts but without any hold period.
