1001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Strategic investment on: September 18, 2017, 05:12:16 PM
Hello community,

Like the subject says, Im seeking any kind of advice/tips for a strategic planning investment on altcoins.  I'm a beginner regarding to crypto investments, I've been around for while, however, I started investing only 2 months ago.

So, what I was thinking as a long term strategy could be:

- Each month, invest 250$ into a max of 6 altcoins (250$ for each)

I can only afford 250$, but I guess it is a plausible value to invest. I  like the idea if I can rotate 250$, each month, trough the 6 altcoins that I'm holding in order to increase the amount of coins, and get a higher ROI.

What are your opinions?  Should i diversify more instead of trying to get a higher amount of coins for the alts that Im holding?

Share your toughs with me.

my regards

Just buy and hold. Most altcoins are scam.
If you do invest or putting on new altcoins which isnt really unknown then for sure you are most likely doing suicide since you are just likely throwing your money but not all altcoins are scams specially if you do really know which coin you would decide to invest.Diversifying is always a good thing if you do really know on what you are doing but if not then better not to risk at all.

Still the many altcoins and recently introduced ICO has been provided the profit for the people who have invested on it.

I do understand that altcoin investment is giving the good profit than any one. Even in mining also altcoin is giving more profit than you find in bitcoin mining.

I would say don't look about the new ICO and wait to have a market place value with the gradual profit and invest on it.
Well its your own choice when you can take up the risk on investing either on ICO,Mining,Trading or any other ways on earning bitcoin or money. This is why we do find ways everyday on how to be profitable this is why we do decide to join up ICO as of todays date and continuing.Strategy on how to do it would really depend on ones self as long we do aware on the risk then it should be fine.

You itself explain the fear what trying mention here. ICO investment are risky to participate. If you are unable to get the value for the tokens we bought in the sale time or after some time. Then, our investment will be lead to failure right!
But trading and mining can be achievable by utilizing the price fluctuations timings.
1002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever gambled to escape worry, trouble, boredom, loneliness, grief or lose on: September 18, 2017, 04:59:30 PM
I Gamble whenever i feel unsatisfied with something in my life, so i gotta gamble out the unsatisfactory of my life, like things that i couldn't control.

Therefore i gamble it because i couldn't control the gamble result too xd

Whales use to play the gambling games whenever they expect the entertainment for them. It can be stress when you does not have a people to share your emotion but when you have people don't get into any gambling platform. I really fond of sports betting, it is really funny and enjoyable to participate.
1003  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: I have free solar energy - well, "free" except for opportunity cost on: September 18, 2017, 04:40:44 PM
In the mean time, you can try to grab old power supplies and GPUs at throwing price and try to mine some BTC while waiting for the ASICs...
You want him to mine BTC with GPUs? Are you crazy? Cheesy

I'd focus on mining altcoins. GPUs are a good idea because if you change your mind you won't have trouble selling them on ebay or amazon.
Don't buy a large quantity, make one rig for starters and see how it goes, what the temperatures will be and so on. It might be possible to run everything without AC just on circulation.

Thanks for all the thoughts and replies.   Couple of questions:

Can you install multiple cards in a single system?
Ethereum?  Monero?  What altcoin would you do on a GPU?

I had ruled out GPUs because I don't have a PC chassis - just a laptop - to my name.   So by the time I am done buying a halfway decent used chassis with a good power supply and an operating system I figured I was pretty close, money wise, to an ASIC miner like the Avalon.   But now that I learned ASIC hardware will be not available for months, maybe I'll revisit that.

Thanks in advance,

GPU mining would not be option for anyone since you will not able to get the better profit like ASIC miner. If the electricity cost is higher means also some USB miner and lower end ASIC miners will not be good if electricity consumption in your location is pretty high.
I understand you will not be able to get the higher miners for some months due to sites are not providing production and delivery from bitmain.
Doing mining using PC will not be effective to get the profit but that will be provide for the experience alone.
1004  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Why there is no more hardware for mining? on: September 18, 2017, 06:52:45 AM
If you are in the semiconductor business it is a known fact.
Forget crypto-coin 'news sites' as with very few exceptions they pretty much are just Pay-to-Place PR sites. In other words the PR site could care less if something is true or not as long as they get paid. Want an example of shortages? Try to get a top-end video card for GPU mining...
notfuzzy is right on this on,there is no conspircy to leave you out of the mining game
there is much more demand than supply for the miners as well as not enough chips being produced to satisfy this demand
if you are a business, selling a rare commodity and you have orders from a thousand of different buyers
majority of which are unknown to you,or want to buy one or five pieces
and there are some returning customers, trusted and buying in bulk
who do you think they would prioritise?

However local traders from the different countries in Ebay are selling the miners machines with the higher price than the what exact price in the Bitmain, avalon and asus sites.
These demand will never replicated in future and check the support team in bitmain site get the information why this delay has been occurred in every purchase from the authentic site for the product.
1005  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Be part of a bounty, its difficult ? on: September 18, 2017, 06:27:50 AM
Friend, each managers have their own way of checking the quality of posts. Some managers may find your posts as good and useful where as some may not. It totally depends upon them. They have there own opinion . So what you have to do is try to write posts which are relevant to the topic and  useful for other members who read that post in forum too.

Via ICO program, I noticed there are many managers now araised in this section by quality quote for manager posting requisition thread in services section. However, they are doing a best quality check and accept the members to participate in their campaign.
Still they are lack of confirming accepted members by quoting back in the thread itself. Instead they just adding the members in the campaign spreadsheet without giving note in the campaign thread also. That should recover.

1010  Economy / Services / Re: Bitmain products from Taiwan with low margins on: September 15, 2017, 05:42:40 PM
Would you guys be interested in antminers from Bitmain official chinese website with their prices (higher than on english website, compared CNY-USD) + 15% + shipment paid by buyer? I know prices on chinese websites are higher than on english site, but I am really pissed how Bitmain fucks with english/us market. Batches sold within minutes, problems with proceeding orders etc etc, we al know it. On chinese website is almost everything ready add to cart all the time. There is also G1 and G2 ETH mining rigs with interesting HW for price. I have a good partner in Taiwan, who would be able to buy from China and then ship anywhere. Let me guys know if you would be interested and we can talk more.

How about the price buddy. In Bitmain site, antminer S9 price is simply around 1350$ and PSU is cost about 300$. May I know how much it costs in the site you trying mention. If you have link about the site please share it below.
If you are doing by your own means please share the information below or shoot a PM.

1012  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: BTC transaction with very, very low fee - will it be canceled? on: September 15, 2017, 04:46:11 AM
I accidentally sent 0.008 BTC with 0.00005 BTC fee.
Transactions ID:
9c980007fccca524d34ea1e41895ca9ea9cc9314ce62051f7e5b3f54014d0f3f

I read somewhere, that transaction would cancel automaticly, after 72h when the fee is to low. But I believe, that BTC is lost, when I don't do anything.
Has someone a guide for nontechy, how to pay additional fee or how to ccancel an unconfirmed transaction? Many thanks.

I don’t know if it will get confirmed though there are very low chances of it being confirmed, why not try
accelerate it by adding more money to the original transaction fee that you used for the transaction, it helps sometimes.
In the current state, there are not many transactions in the mempool, there is no spam, and we have segwit, which means that it's very unlikely that transactions get stuck, even with low fees.

Yeah from the past two days transactions are locked and waiting to get confirmations in all the network pools now.

Good news is all wallet providers reduced their default transaction fees has been reduced 0.00025 btc. If confirmation takes long time means please utilize any transaction accelerator to get the confirmation faster.

1014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Dogecoin? on: September 14, 2017, 05:26:48 AM
dogecoin is better , bitcoin is already so much expensive

Are you kidding me? I don't know why you feel that dogecoin is better for me its a shit coin, undoubtedly bitcoin is the best of all.

Lol, Since it is an altcoin discussion. This thread has been created to talk about altcoin with bitcoin. A day before bitcoin price was declined to 3600$ least but today again start to bump and market capital of altcoins like ETH, ECH, Monero, LTC, Dodge and Dash are getting lower when we are market value.

I do think that ETH price may touch to 1000$ in this year or early 2018 but I don't have head towards doge at all.

1016  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: many ICO altcoin , What can be trusted? on: September 10, 2017, 06:46:48 PM
Now a lot of ico altcoin project , do projects that can be trusted . This makes i doubt to participate campaign bounty .
Please tell me friend , how saw projects altcoin can be trusted ?

I can not be sure which ico can be trusted 100%

I just make sure and after observing and investigating. about concepts, technology, teams and more.
I just gave trust to an ico. of course everyone is doing the same as what I did.
if we are involved in crypto we know the advantages and disadvantages are always part of the risk.

That is true still you can find the perfect ICO which give you profit for you when you are ready to buy in the time of token sale. For example, dentacoin again waiting to do their 2nd time ICO token sale in coming November. Else you can check the best altcoin using coinmarketcap site which can brief information about the market capital value of concern altcoin.
1017  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: mining wallet on: September 09, 2017, 08:33:21 PM
What wallets should I use for mining? I recently started mining and I came across several videos that warn people to be careful about what wallets you use for mining. In fact they tell people to read the user agreement before you use a wallet. Here are two examples:
Jaxx
Jaxx gives the following warning to their users - No, Jaxx is a lightweight wallet that is not designed to receive mining payouts. We do not recommend pointing any mining rig payouts to Jaxx as it may cause issues on your end as well as potentially causing issues on our end.
CoinBase
CoinBase Give the following warning to their users - Please note that Coinbase cannot be used to receive ETH mining rewards.

Coinbase have a eth and ltc wallet along with bitcoin wallet. I have seen the suggestions all are altcoin wallets like jaxx and myether wallet is widely suggested. why we cannot able to use the online or desktop wallet for mining. I know we can set the threshold value which amount you wish to get the amount to the wallet.
1018  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Offline Wallets Vs Online Wallets on: September 09, 2017, 08:17:27 PM
there is No Online wallets that are safe to use. They can scam anytime.
you can use multiple site to hold on.

Otherwise,
If you have a lot of BTC then it is better to use an offline wallet like hardware wallet.

i suggest you try trezor, it is one of the best wallet.
How can you just casually say that all those online wallets are frauds and always tends to scam people. How narrow-minded you are, you see many people are using online wallets and have no problems at all. It probably depends on what wallet you're using, if you're confident with that wallet because you've confirmed all the security measures that are required then its fine. Besides its not the online wallets have the faults but those who're using it, because they've did not research well enough to get the security they needed.

Some online wallet providers are scammed many people who have their in their site. That is why people are saying online wallets are worst to have your bitcoins. We need to be careful logging into the site. If you any desktop wallet you will understand how it will secured to you and your bitcoin will be safe for long time.
1019  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: coinmarketcap vs worldscoinindex on: September 09, 2017, 08:11:56 PM
I don't know why when looking through coinmarketcap and worldcoinindex, both site have different prices for BTC and alt coins. which site is more accurate?

You can just check the price in Google search itself to get the acurate price. coinmarketcap and worldcoinindex are the site which can provide the market value of bitcoin to any altcoin. If the ICO not yet added you can add that too here. This is what the exact you can render here. Still you worry about the means you can choose preev or coindesk to monitor.
1020  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: best softwate for bitcoin mining? on: September 09, 2017, 06:52:01 PM

hi everyone,

i am looking some software that can help me mine bitcoin.i would appreciate if anyone help me  to find some software.

regards
Zrs

Miner software will allow you to monitor than statistics will be able to calculate easily with the software. I will suggest you to try bitminter or nice hash are preferable option to start your mining career.
I have tried bitminter PC mining and used for 2 days I did not get any money from that site but when I tried to start again in nice hash mining site it will give the profit accordind to the specification you used.
