Markets unfrozen yet? What's the status of poleoniex?

They took 12% of our bitcoin ($300) for me, and told us everything is alright now, so just continue on about our business.

No, that's not what he said. He said he'd repay it. That makes it a loan.

All these people who never made a mistake and also never checked to see if these "obvious" flaws they now crow about existed might make that take a while though. As has already been mentioned, losing 12% is not unusual in trading, not to mention crypto trading, but spreading unfounded negativity to ensure you lose more is plain illogical. No good comes of that for anyone.

If you trust the admin, that's your decision. If you don't and get out, you've no dog in the fight so maybe leave it to those who have to win or lose based on their own gut feelings or research?

Your retarded. Losing 12% is not unusual in trading does not justify shit. Taking peoples money is NOT ok. Poloniex took money from me, this is my dog in the fight. "so maybe leave it to those who have to win or lose based on their own gut feelings or research? " I dont even know what to say about this stupid shit.

Best to say nothing then, especially as your reading skills seem low.
If he hadn't reduced our balances the exchange would be at risk of owing more than it had to pay out in the event of a run...and ALL your money could have gone. This way he TEMPORARILY BORROWED 12% from us all to save that possibility. In the end he'll be the one losing funds, we may suffer too due to lost trades/opportunities ..but given the time he had to fix something unexpected it wasn't ever going to please everyone. Don't say it was to be expected like some people have, if that was true WTF was your money doing in there and why didn't anyone bring it up or offer help prior to the problem?

Another lesson leaned. The hard way.
Another negative scare story for the media, one that will hinder the growth of all crypto. That hurts us all.

Trading is back on!

I get "this account is frozen" /scrap that...busoni is on chat now helping people.

Busoni, can you answer this one single question please:
Did you implement transaction atomicity on withdrawals or not?
Eurotrash, can you explain transaction atomicity, or link to somewhere that does?

About 10 pages back in this thread

2. Same as #1, but raise fees to expedite. ?
That's saying we pay ourselves back by paying higher fees to cover the amount we're owed. This should come out of the admins funds and profits not users pockets, it was his responsibility not ours to secure the site. Paying it back over time in some way so that the exchange stays solvent makes sense, but higher fees simply means he loses nothing, we pay it all.

I'm also not clear if this involves all balances held there, or just BTC ones?

If you, for example, had a litecoin balance, would that be losing this %?
1006  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC Stolen from Poloniex on: March 04, 2014, 01:40:01 PM
I can't help thinking that some kind of agreement between entities like exchanges and wallets to blacklist addresses and make conversion harder would help. Not much point in stealing BTC if you can't exchange it to currency. We're all sitting here able to watch that guy move his ill gotten gains around, we see all the wallet addresses, if they were blacklisted, what could he do with it?

Too slow, too complex for mass adoption. Not everyone is happy with this level of pissing about, and half the people I've introduced to HUC think the resources it uses mean it's a virus. Until it runs faster, syncs faster and uses much fewer resources it's going to be a slow haul. I can happily rin Cryengine2 games with no noticable effect on this machine , yet this simple game cripples it. Even when syncing ...when I can't play.

Fucking waste considering it's possible for all to get involved in theory. Get an SSD? You EVER been advised to do that with any software and who will buy one just to mine a coin they are trying out? A new coin?

Don't ignore the fact that this is far from a playable game or easy on resources. It will die. What a waste.

Thanks for trying, goodbye!

I'm not trying, I'm telling it how it is. You knob. Smiley
If you want something to work it's got to work for consumers, not just a few geeks willing to fart about. That's the whole fucking point of it being a game and being able to mine it or play it in so many ways...which is defeated completely by ignoring the fact that it's not playable as it is now for all those people who could become involved.

Ignore that and you are stupid, acknowledge it and improve it and you won't scare people away.
Your opinion, a fart in the wind to me. You don't give a shit if it works, always another coin right?
Not like this one, this one could easily walk out of the small arena into the mainstream for many reasons...the obvious one being that it's a game. If it were much easier to get into, that would obviously be better all round.

Until that happens, your answer is byebye? What a clown. Good job it's got fuck all to do with you isn't it?

oooooooooOOOOk.

updating a pic about client, i had a lot of problems regarding pathfinding and drawing to be the same as original (because movements are checked every transaction and has to be compatible with client, blablabla to make a long story short, i managed to achive the right stuff, like pictures evince (left, original client, right mine)
as you see, i put a counter so you should know in how many block you'll reach the target (and every single step!)
of course i don't take into consideration the time that your move will take to be confirmed, so this counter is should be used as an indication or while the hunter is already mooving, to know how many block you sitll need to reach the point and take a coffee in a peaceful and resteful mood

i'm going to put online a video showing a sum of current features (well, not all just some) and there you'll can see that i've achived the same nice result even with enemies moves, so you'll see how many blocks an enemy will take to go somewhere and more important, where he's going!
previously i was drawing a straight lane between waypoint but now i've reproduced the original algorithm

here is the video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ot-sRUjmkck

im kinda new to huntercoin.... in fact i just know it today from the trollbox on polonix ...

that client up there looks like a custom huntercoin client Huh?  caz the one in my wallet does not look the same

It is, it's a work in progress he's producing to help us all. Looking great. Smiley

will go up this coin in the next 3-4 month ?

It's hardly begun, had nothing but positive media, still growing...yet to hit a lot of exchanges. My guess would be yes, big time.
Got to make your own decisions with your money though. If it does and you're not in there at least a little, how will that feel?
Better IMHO to risk it and lose a little than not risk it and see how you could have made a lot. Smiley

SBT are Crazy ! this man want to compromised the game Smiley))

Unless he never sleeps he's going to lose those. He's got to leave them at some point and when he does...boom ...they become coins Smiley

what about a wallet without the game ?
Exchanges and pool don't need to have the game in it, so why not just providing a simple wallet version.

I also do have a couple of HUC left which I can't sell just because I am 12 days back and I don't want to ruin my SSD and wait for it to sync.

Can the game actually break your hard drive?

It works them hard. SSDs it will eventually. Not in 12 days sync though lol

Game is so different now. Some players have 40-50 teams and stay in a spot. Difficult to find coins now Smiley
I remember the first day, I get around 1000 coins and was enough stupid to sell for 0.2 btc the 1000 looool.

Those players ARE coins Smiley

Just to put HUC in perspective, on Slushes pool I just had a 150GH ASIC suffer a 21 hour round for the reward of   0.00315286 BTC  Roll Eyes. Expect a lot more people to jump on HUC as difficulty and other problems drive them away from other coins. No need to spend 10k on a rig that won't be sure of breaking even with HUC, that's the situation with bitcoin.

Amidst the massive bloodletting, chaos, destruction, theft, malfeasance, incompetence, and throw in any other adjectives that you'd like...

There is some good news. A small beacon of light, bravely shining through the thickened darkness...

Huntercoin shines

The sole shining light in the sea of negative numbers on CoinMarketCap seems to be huntercoin, whch has seen its market capitalisation rise by more than 50% in the same period.

It is unclear why this particular cryptocurrency is bucking the downward trend, but the fact that around 80% of the coins are only obtainable inside a virtual universe which resides inside the blockchain, could have something to do with it.

Let's hope to see that light shine brighter! Smiley

That must be the only positive article in the world of crypto today, very cool, thanks for sharing Smiley

It's a stretch because when BTC is down, so are all other coins. In this case BTC is down and HUC is up...so it doesn't have anything to do with bitcoin.

BTC is all bad news today, HUC is all good news and brand new gaining exchanges and confidence and attention....that's obviously going to make the difference. Everything in crypto has something to do with bitcoin..simple as that really.

This might help clear up a little bit about why moves aren't "instantaneous".

http://cynic.me/2014/02/24/huntercoin-welcome-to-the-blockchain/

I hope that's not for me. I understand the fucking game and how it works well enough having been playing it for over a month now (on testnet before release), as I have said several times now it's not something I've seen before that moves stick pending over and over and over after cancelling them and deleting the transaction it just does it again...and judging by the numbers of people dying around me after not moving and long lines of chinese text in chat ..it's not just me.
1020  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HUC] Huntercoin - Human Minable - MMOCG - Update 23/Feb/14 on: February 23, 2014, 03:30:36 PM
Just sat here watching new teams spawn, refuse to move and stick pending,,,until they died. Oddly, not leaving coins when they died either.
Twice in a row that happened. That a new bug or one I just haven't encountered?
Just you not knowing how to delete transactions when they are stuck in pending, nothing new  Cheesy

So, it happening 3 times in a row is a feature of the game? Actually 4 now. Just happened a again, and this time it was only stuck pending for a couple of minutes. How you know when a move is "stuck" against just taking a couple of minutes would be nice to know...I get pending all the time, but as I said this has never happened before.
