1001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Litecoin will always be a top 2 Crypto on: June 29, 2014, 05:25:30 PM
Monero has objectively more reasons to become top 2. You didn't list any tangible reason for LTC to be above XMR beyond "LTC was the first successful alt-coin". There are no advantages over BTC, wereas XMR has advantages over BTC.

everyone should avoid this shit and invest in Cloak.

1014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: rpietila Altcoin Observer on: June 12, 2014, 11:34:21 AM
Could Monero reach 0.1 in the next years? there is a big demand for 100% anonymous coins and it seems this is the real deal to fill that niche.
1015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NUD ₦ ] New Universal Dollar | Bcrypt | 0% Pre-mine | First Anonymous on: June 10, 2014, 07:15:12 PM

It' doesnt work, im doing it exactly as they say:

Quote
Mine using the following settings: stratum+tcp://new.hashharder.com:9977 -u <NewUniversalCoin Address> -p Anything

BUT it doesnt work. I get "unexpected extra commandline arguments" and cgminer.exe crashes.

How do I calculate the amount of XMR I can make mining given my hashrate? I want to know if it's worth it for me or not.
1019  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: rpietila Altcoin Observer on: June 08, 2014, 01:16:16 PM

1020  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TorCoin? Secure and grow the Tor network by rewarding relays and exit nodes? on: June 05, 2014, 12:10:59 PM
I saw a video on YT regarding something similar to this but the speaker (whom I think was a Tor dev) mentioned it having it's negative effects. In the video however the reward was increased bandwidth or something like that for providing the faster connection. However, I think there's no need for a TorCoin they should just use BitCoin instead.

Wrong, no one on their right mind would use BitCoin if they wanted full anonimity (anyone on Tor wants full anonimity). They just should use Monero, which is already working with i2p.
