Those ETH, DAO and Dash as far as i know have wallets too. Is there going to be a Windows wallet released for this new coin ? I like to keep my coins in my desktop wallet and to this day I only dealt with Bitcoin and Litecoin, so I know really nothing about these new coins like Etherium, DAO, Dash...
Lite client will have offline wallet storage option and you will be able to run it on any device so it will be much simpler to use for the end-users. That's a good thing. Maybe you will also have a web wallet as an option for thoes who only have few waves like me. Hard drive wallet is great though, synchronizing however is just a pain in the ass. ^ Lite client with no blockchain download, connecting instantly which you will be able to run on any device in your browser. You will be able to import and use it quickly on different devices also. No blockchain sync needed. How about running a full node? Are there any benefits in doing so, other than strengthening the network? Of course, details will be in tech paper. Full node will be sharing its rewards with the lite clients which are leasing their balance to it. Thanks for the answers mxxxxxx, I'll be looking forward to the white paper! Sounds good for the full nodes. Creating incentives to keep full nodes online is a good idea. +1 to that. What about masternodes? Or no need for waves requirements? No masternodes or minimum requirement to have full node. It will be one big network with incentives where everyone has a chance of getting rewards while having balance above 0. The bigger balance the bigger share from the reward pool you get. So everyone will need to work on their own strategies. For example user with lower balance can choose to lease balance to full node which is validating blocks more often etc.

Lite client will have offline wallet storage option and you will be able to run it on any device so it will be much simpler to use for the end-users. This sounds really nice. Keep your waves on a home pc and connect to it, for instance, via a mobile wallet? You will be able to import/recover your account on any device thanks to your own unique seed from which account address is being generated, so no need to "connect" to other locations first above having your own seed and having device connected to internet to get inside your account wherever your are. This will be very handy for example in case of hardware damage. Above your own unique seed you will be also encrypting access to your account with additional password. Offline storage wallet option for lite client and 2fa will be implemented in later phase of development.

And this Lite client is ready now or will be launched with the coin at the end of ICO ? We are testing first version atm. Should be ready for the public testing near the end of ICO. Basic functions at start - account creation, import, transfer etc. New features will be slowly added in time before and after platform launch in summer 2016. Official version will need to go through appstore submission.

We will have official Waves forum at the end of ICO with some other rules There will be new thread on Bct for updates mostly Thank you all for support That's good to know. Please make sure your "other rules" do not include heavy censorship. Too many new coins fall into that trap of thinking if they can suppress dissenting views, it is somehow better. Sure thing. Just there will be some new reputation system approach to prevent abuse and to help to be more constructive

it is always recommended to deposit from personal wallet.
Why does it matter as long as the BTC makes it to its destination I should not need anymore information (address or priv key sent from) in order to claim my waves right. Assuming that the transaction goes through, why would a personal wallet be better than an exchange wallet (after the transaction clears)? Of course transaction will go through. I mean it is always better to depend on your personal wallet that you have full access to.

One question about the ICO.
Can I send BTC from an exchange like Coinbase or Poloniex and still be able to claim my waves tokens after the launch?
or do I need to be able to know my BTC private key and must send from BitcoinQT or blockchain wallet?
You can deposit from exchange, you have your personal deposit address inside your account. However it is always recommended to deposit from personal wallet.

How long after entering your email should you be receiving an email to buy Waves ICO?
I've tried entering 2 different emails into the ICO site, and nothing has happened for hours.
Is there another way to buy these before launch besides inputting your email into the ICO site, or should I just wait until after launch and the tokens hit the exchanges?
After you enter your email and set your password, you should be logged in at once. Next you should receive confirmation email. If you used those emails in first day while procedure was being updated please use new one or write to rideon@wavesplatform.com for help.

"The token distribution to supporters will take place after the end of ICO, WAVES support team will be contacting all participants and arranging the bonus transfer."
As for social accounts, you will be confirming them on the ICO site.
As for signature campaign, you will need to send message from your Bct account with your Waves address.

Will Waves launch before the bitcoin halving ?
We are on schedule with enabling investors to withdraw their tokens right after the ICO. Platform launch with main features - summer 2016.
|
|
|
So where does it say how we get the Waves once the campaign is over? First ICO needs to end. 1) The stakes will be distributed weekly to the participants
