1001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ? on: October 17, 2016, 03:36:35 AM
Is staying away too difficult to do? Just stay away. That's it.
If you are too addicted and you feel like you can't stay away, bet all your money for good. If you won, bet it again. Then when you lose, you're gonna stop betting for sure.  Grin

that's a pretty straight forward way to do it and you have a very good point since you won't have any capital for betting anymore. but there are some people who, even if they have nothing, would loan or borrow money or even sell property just to keep their gambling activities active. it's really very difficult to stay away and you may need all the help you can get or if you're just starting to gamble, try to implement strict rules for yourself

but for me it is not difficult to stay away from gambling as we need to join other sources of entertainment if we do not need the source of entertainment from gambling and we need to earn money from any other source rather than gambling.

It is not easy to replace gambling with other entertainment as gambling can make you feel the adrenaline rush within you. Only those extreme sport is able to give the same sensation. However, try to find something that can equally excite him too so that it can provide a good diversion of his time. With family supports and interaction, he can find out that social interaction can be more attractive than gambling.
1002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and mystic on: October 17, 2016, 03:32:54 AM
LOL! This is the funniest thread I saw in my entire life, I understand that we experience big loses despite of our will to work hard to find method that would give us a steady win in gambling, but coming up with an idea of supernatural power to win in gambling is just a sign that we ran out of realistic idea anymore. I think you should quit.

Dont laugh at potential great ideas. Who knows, he may invent a contact lens that can see through objects and hence be able to gambling perfectly in dice games.
1003  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When gambling makes you cry. on: October 17, 2016, 02:37:38 AM
It happened to me when all my earnings from sportsbet got loss in one day playing dice. I earn almost .04 btc don't know but it's all my earnings from betting in sportsbet and for just one day everything was loss because of the martiagale system got 13 straight losing steak left me nothing.

Martingale system does not promise you a sure win. It is just reducing the house edge by a little but you are still at the disadvantage. Losing 13 straight streak is common if you play for long time. There are even cases of 20-25 straight lose streak.
1004  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling made for kids???? on: October 17, 2016, 02:29:59 AM
no i think gambling is not just like the other games that children play usually, actually gambling is a game of money where you can make money as well as can lost your money as well, so gambling is not good for kids and kids must remain away from gambling.

I have seen some parents let their children play gambling games and never educate them. It is very important to set the right mindset for the children. Otherwise, with their maturity, they may not be able to control themselves and addicted to gambling full time. Even adult also have a hard time controlling themselves.
1005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice Games Are So Much Fun on: October 17, 2016, 02:28:07 AM
The fun thing in dice game is we can play it at anytime. We can start dan stop whenever we want and we can change our method as often as we like. But unfortunately, this type of game will quickly lead to addiction. We need to limit ourselves in order to avoid addiction.

It is, aside from being addicted, it is also the fastest way to lose our money since the time span between betting is so close and you won't be waiting...It's also time consuming since there is no limit on up to how long you want to play as long as you still have a fund in your bankroll and are still willing to waste money...  Smiley

As long as there is house edge, people will have a likelihood to lose money. However, it is about fun and not about profit. Dice games are fun for you to test some of the strategy you can come out with. And with bots working hard for you, you can see results even without much of your own effort. It is not a cup of tea for everyone but it is fun for a lot of people here.
1006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The House always wins. on: October 17, 2016, 02:26:12 AM
Well house is supposed to win when there is a house edge. But, now there are games with 0% house edge, where players get equal chance to win.
No, not really equal chance of win would be exactly 50/50 win chance. Games with zero House Edge are usually lottery type of games.
Have you seen Dice with zero House Edge? That's right, it is not possible to maintain Dice with no HE. Lottery is different though.

I beg to diff. Even lottery also have no zero house edge. In fact, lottery has one of the higher house edge because people will still keep buying it due to the huge payout. If you calculate, the expected value is still negative and it take around 7 life time of gambling just to have an expected win.
1007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gambling Investments on: October 17, 2016, 02:24:13 AM
2 months and 2 weeks in:

Satoshi Dice and MoneyPot continue to disappoint.

On a USD Basis the $3,000 I investment I started with (buying 5 bitcoins at $600 each) is now worth $3,773 (with bitcoin currently at 641 each). Great result so far Smiley

Yah moneypot has been very disappoint for the past few months. I am also starting to grow sick and tired of it. I understand there is ups and downs but this down is getting a bit too long.

Maybe withdraw 0.5 btc each from Moneypot and Satoshidice in favor of Bitvest? Heard some people investing there. Cheesy

I think about this more and more every week... Will make a decision at the end of this month

It is will be a great choice! I also have heard of bitvest for a while now so that seems like a good site with gd rep to invest in. I would really love to see the some investment results from it. Thanks for everything.
1008  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider trading as gambling? on: October 14, 2016, 04:34:35 PM
yep gambling and trading has only a string difference, So we can say bot are same. In gambling only luck brings you profit, In trading Knowledge plays a significant role to make profit.

If trading is based on knowledge then every brainy person would have earned millions from trading and all other would have followed their strategy to trade, and finally there will be no losers. I don't think such scenario is possible in trading.

If gambling is based on knowledge and skills, then the same condition above would apply to gambling too. So to profit from both trading and gambling we need knowledge, Skill and luck, Which is in different proportion for each.

Interesting idea. However, i beg to disagree. If trading is the similar to gambling, then how come we can see world richest man consists of warren buffett and i dont see rich guy who came from gambling. As you can see, if you have the right knowledge, you dont need luck anymore.
1009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can u lose with gambling? on: October 14, 2016, 04:25:56 PM
So far i have lose about 4btc after playing different kinds of games. If you want to include investment, i would have lost like 20btc already. These happens when btc is still cheap. So the lost in fiat at that time is still consider not a lot.
1010  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The House always wins. on: October 14, 2016, 04:24:22 PM
Well house is supposed to win when there is a house edge. But, now there are games with 0% house edge, where players get equal chance to win.

But gambling houses are not doing any charity work to distribute their money to gamblers. So even though 0% house edge then know that if anyone gamble for longer period they can win at the end so to attract gamblers they will come up with these 0% house edge tricks. Gambling is not for making money so gamble carefully.

That is what i have been saying so far. Casino is not a charity. It is meant to take money away from you. So they will do things to ensure that you will be losing in the long run but at the same time let you believe you got chance to win to hook you up for long.
1011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Gambling is Fun? on: October 14, 2016, 04:17:30 PM
Gambling is fun because it is simple to learn and you will feel excited when you bet something that you may end up losing. In this way, you are connected to the outcome/results and you will have a much higher level of involvement in the bet. That is why some people dont like to play when there is no money involved in it.
1012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to quit Gambling for good? on: October 14, 2016, 04:13:54 PM
To stop gambling, you need to seek another addicted thing that could wasting your time like game or .... love (ah I talk nonsense again Roll Eyes) Yeah just think people who you love so much and what the bad effects of gambling that could hurt them. Anyway I love gambling, and I never felt any bad effect. Just bet responsibly.

You are not talking nonsense. In fact, for people to get away from addiction in gambling, the more they need their love ones to help them get over it. The love ones are the one that is going to be there for you whenever you need help and able to motivate you to quit gambling.
1013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 💰 (LIR) 💰 LetItRide Gambling Suite 💰 Gamble with LIR Soon! on: October 14, 2016, 04:03:51 PM
Okay,guys... Here is the LIR funeral proof if there is someone who has a blind trust in this project:

*This is what appears when you enter the LIR site.
Sincerely I really believed in this project when it started because it had potential. Sorry to see this concept go.  Tongue

I have a decent amount. I have to write off another one on my list. Most the new projects are trash.

If you "have to write off another one" you're making horrible decisions and aren't vetting your investments. This one was a scam from the beginning and that was blatantly obvious. Even in the infinitesimally small chance that it wasn't, it was still going to be a horrible investment. By taking part, you were only giving yourself one of two choices: lose or lose. I really wish some people would learn from this, but the simple fact is most of you are going to throw your money at the next scam and cry yet again. As long as you continue to do this, you will keep pushing forward more scams. Learn. Vet. Don't throw your money blindly at projects. It's a simple concept.

I dont think it is the same person who got cheated over and over again. There is always new waves of people coming in and there is always new target for people to scam on. A lot of people will tend to be easily get persuaded and believe what they hope to hear. They will just learn it by the hard way.
1014  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Everyone looses in the long run on: October 13, 2016, 05:07:58 AM
Most people will lose at gambling if they run it for a long time. But, most people didnt realize it. When someone lost a bunch and they keep gambling and suddently have some good profit, they will forget about they previous lost although they profit in fact cant cover all the previous lost.

A gambling addict never realizes those, I know that, I know some... They are even happy when they go home after losing and still has the guts to drink liquors and talk about their losses... The following day they will do it again and happy enough if they win even a few cents... So I think that's how gambling is... So while you are not yet an addict, better quit...  Smiley

Gambling addict does not care about winning or losing. They just want to gamble more and more. Even without money, some of them will still find ways to borrow more money to gamble. They already know they will lose but they still carry on to gamble.
1015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Turn Gambling into a Profitable Activity on: October 13, 2016, 05:04:17 AM
I have lost a lot in gambling but i am happy to say that i also have profit some from casino. And the way to do it is investment. So far, i have seen positive returns for my investment and that is surprising cause a lot of investment i made in the past all become worthless.
Oh thats great that you are getting some profit from investing in online casinos and i also was planning to invest in online gambling sites and casinos but many peoples said that it is quiet risky but if you got some good return then i may also give try to invest in there.

There is a thread here that is giving proofs about the profits in his investments in gambling. The numbers are good and I think he is doing good and got back the ROI now. You should see that it will boost your investing will.

I have tried to follow some of the people giving away their free prediction. And they have proved that they have earn quite a great amount of ROI already. However, when i try to follow their advice, i still end up losing more than profit. I dont know if i enter at a bad time or not but i decide not to touch on that again.
1016  Other / Off-topic / Re: If i give you 10 BTC what will you do? on: October 13, 2016, 04:54:34 AM
I'll switch with gold and keep it until 10 years  Cool Tongue

Lol and I think that is a smart decision to make as gold will surely give you good profits if you hold it for 10 years as we don't know whether bitcoin will survive for next 10 years or not so holding it can be risky.

Well this is a smart move but you can only that if you have other stable source of income but for those people who doesn't have stable income and just hoping to get good profit for their sources then this idea is not going be a good idea for you are just going to see the result after waiting for 10 years. Because most of the people wants a daily basis result investment.
Judging from what I am reading Gold investors are already selling their gold pieces as they know gold as of now will continue to go down, we can't predict if gold is still a good investment but my suggestion is you buy gold when it becomes more lower than today. 10 years is a big time for you not to have a mistake be careful.

Gold has gain a lot starting of this year. It is due to the potential rate hike by Fed. So a lot of people are shifting their money away from stock and into gold. This is normally the trend. And as you have known, the fed did not raise the rate in the june, so people are starting to be interested in stock again so money start to shift back into stock and that partially account for the recent drop in gold. However, we cannot use the drop in gold to say that gold is not a good investment. Anything that goes up will go down too. To me, gold is always a good safe investment while bitcoin is a good and risky investment. You can profit a lot from bitcoin but you also can lose a lot. While gold is a slow and growing investment.
1017  Other / Off-topic / Re: Any safe way to grow my bitcoins ? on: October 13, 2016, 04:49:41 AM
The safest way to grow your bitcoin is to work in real life and buy more bitcoin with your pay. That is the fastest to grow your bitcoin.

There are also other ways to grow your bitcoin is to take up signature campaign, collect faucet, sell things/service for btc.

With an interest rate of 33.3% of only let say 2 month, converting to 1 year, the interest rate is as high as 180%. And the most successful investor, warren buffet has only 27% ROI every year only.
1020  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is earning BTC can be good in the future? on: October 13, 2016, 02:56:04 AM
Bitcoin right now is like a form of investment. There is not many service that we can spend our btc on. So now it is just mainly speculation. However, bitcoin has a unique stand in this world and it can fill in some gaps that other things cant afford so there is still some demand for it.
