Salah and Haaland? That's what I initially put together and then changed it God knows why.
It was the best way to go, too many good 6,5 midfielders were on offer and you could still assemble a good team with both Salah and Haaland.

The only problem I had with this setup is that you basically have a 12,5 player (Salah) who you won't captain that often.
I don’t know if I have to rethink my decision but, I’ve hit the idea of M. Salah being over priced to leave him permanently on my team (except in the case of an injury) but yeah. I don’t find him to be making the points for his price worth. He might be a midfielder but then, his the goal scorer for Liverpool and ought to be coming up with the goals and in turn, points too.

I have them both.  Grin

But you're right... I also think Salah will be on a roll this season.
His not manifesting like he would.
His last goal for Liverpool seemed more like a consolation goal for his time on the pitch. Maybe I have too much expectation on him but his prices enough to deliver like E. Halaand is. Halaand said, his back and we can expect him to be back at goal scoring. Could it be the same for Salah…

1002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: September 06, 2023, 11:51:26 PM
Addiction to gambling is same as addiction to drugs and other substances, The first solution to this is for the individual to be ready to come out of their addictions and this could be done by having some changes in the daily habits characters and activities that could settle all the possibilities of sliding back into the addictions.

So for that, we have to monitor all our activities,  to make sure that we are not overly getting involved in gambling and other vices that could possibly negatively affect our well-being.

Although I feel that addiction to drugs has more effect on the individual than addiction to gambling, I once said that some compulsive gamblers can steal money just to bet, and this also applies to some drug addicts in our region, but the level at which drug addicts steal things is very alarming; in fact, they can sell all their belongings just to make sure they take their normal substance. Also, I think that it is more difficult to convince a drug addict to stop than it is with compulsive gamblers, but they both have the same case for resolution of their problem, which is to first of all be convinced that what they are doing is wrong and have to keep in check their habits towards that which they are doing that is not right.
Apparently there are levels to this and one is overly higher than the other. Addiction is something that builds in the subconscious act of someone having cravings for a particular thing or activity and in most cases, it’s always that difficult to quit.

The best thing is never to form or develop the addiction in the first place. While drugs might seem to pick when compared with gambling addiction is because, it’s outlawed and you doing drugs is you already on the band side of government.

Meanwhile, drug addiction plays on your metal state of being and for some, it’s an escape from time and all that goes on about them. This pretty makes it a do without as it’s tailored into their lifestyle while, gambling. It’s a view thing and how financial sufficient you are. Those who see it for a means to survival always peaks in this scale but then, addiction only takes a gradual approach to being dropped.
1003  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: How the reality of the country the affect ur business? on: September 06, 2023, 11:32:02 PM
The hardship way dey we nation don change not just how people dey conduct business but also how people dey live life. People way no sabi apply caution on cost, dey learn am now. 1005  Economy / Economics / Re: CBDCs are created for unemployment purpose on: September 06, 2023, 11:08:37 PM
It is about a Russian lawmaker that believes CBDCs will gradually displace fiat and traditional banking.

Can this be what would later happen?
I’ve tried visiting the provided link severally but, am met with a 404 error each time and as such, I couldn’t get the full story.

Still, I don’t see any much difference in having the CBDC functional from what we’ve got here with the mobile banking. CBDC doesn’t have much difference from what we already have in mobile banking.
It’s technically all fiat just in different forms and it’s going to need maintenance from time to time and some one to manage the proceedings.

I wouldn’t act like I know much about CBDC but, in many ways, people remain more comfortable with what they are can hold someone responsible and accountable for.
1006  Economy / Economics / Re: Entrepreneurship and women on: September 05, 2023, 11:57:06 PM
In terms of work as an employee, women are always superior, but men always win in terms of logic and thinking. Entrepreneurs must have a good brain to think when they go there. while women are favored usually by their charming appearance. I believe their odds remain 50:50 and neither one dominates more than the other.
Men are always ahead of women when it comes to making big decisions. A man can make a difficult decision as easily as a woman but not so easily. A man will be ahead of a woman in many ways when it comes to becoming an entrepreneur himself. First of all a man is physically stronger as well as men have more quick decision making ability than women.
I think we’ve gone way past the stage of physical strength being a determinant for anything entrepreneurship. That’s so, 20th century and below.
We’ve come to a time where leadership skills and how well developed upstairs you are, coupled with some financial capacity plays a vital role. Of course, you’re in here to get that finance but the rulings am making is that, there are eras to it and the platform is very much leveled now.

What becomes a hindrance to most entrepreneurs is risk evaluation and how willing are you to take certain risks. This you could find men doing so well and you can expect them to be a little reckless in their risk evaluation. For some, it pays off while, others gets to get a bitter taste of there bad decisions.

When it comes to women, it’s hardly the case. They try to evaluate all that can be and thought might make some wins, they would get to miss some opportunities as well. Still, both gender are doing just fine in meeting up themselves on this plain.
1007  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: imagining what he will be like the last halving on: September 05, 2023, 11:48:49 PM
Yes, block rewards won't play any major role anymore because Bitcoin is designed that way.
Even around 2100, block rewards won't play any major role anymore because rewards will be very tiny.
How about this,
How about we try to value bitcoin based on the halvings.
Like, comparing the value of the block rewards as at 2020 to the value of bitcoin in 2016. In cause of this analysis, I’ll be concentrating on the block reward and value it based on ATH for each year of the halving respectively.

In 2016,
Block Reward = BTC12.5
ATH Value = $981
Valuation = (BTC12.5 X $981) = $12,262.5

In 2020
Block Reward = BTC6.25
ATH Value = $29,096
Valuation = (BTC6.25 X $29,096) = $181,850

The difference in valuation of block reward between 2020 and 2016 would be;
Diff. = $181,850 - $12,262.5 = $169,587.5

This is just to give an idea of what the increment or dollar valuation to every sat would be in the nearest future so, to a large extent, block reward would continue to play a role. My hypothetical thoughts.
1008  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government vs Bitcoin on: September 05, 2023, 11:16:03 PM
Lately, I’ve been trying to get some different insight to the government not having to back bitcoin. What would it mean to them and in the case of a flaw with developing technology, what becomes of the government and there stands in the event of a backing. To answer that;

Having to back bitcoin or cryptocurrency is the government giving assurances to its citizens that nothing could go wrong.
It’s a government’s responsibility for the safety of its citizens and a government that isn’t able to do that is a government that have failed in its purposes. Now, it’s hard having to do that on a currency that they can not control.

It’s the one reason why we appreciate the bitcoin idea, it’s decentralized and privacy nature which is, the only reason why government isn’t so bitcoin friendly. There are a lot other reasons but still, I don’t blame them for a gradual acceptance, it’s a process.
1009  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When to invest in bitcoin on: September 05, 2023, 11:05:00 PM
Not only in bear market but the right time to invest in Bitcoin is when you're finally decided that you are a 100% sure about it.
If you or anyone wants to wait on a 100% assurance to invest in bitcoin, you just might end up not having to invest at all. That’s because, there isn’t any 100% assurance on bitcoin investment or any other investments out there. It completely undermines the risk factor of it and as such, you just might be doing it wrong.

You’ve got to understand the risk, have a good knowledge of what you’re about to invest in as well as how to safeguard your investment and that would be a green.

Those that are waiting on a bear market or a market at the dip to invest in bitcoin would end up procrastinating and never get to invest. It’s better you DCA.
1010  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Nothing compares to BITCOIN, know this and know peace on: September 03, 2023, 11:24:20 PM
Beginners, if I were you I would be less worried about Bitcoin, it's proven already, and I will be more worried about others, the journey of making money through Alts is full of thorns, stay safe out there.
They will never understand this.
The cryptospace is largely moved by trust as not many things are easily or could be verified. Most turns out to be written promises just to draw more investors into picking a package or investing in their project. Often, this turns out to be a wrong move to most. No thought there are those that benefits from the introduction of new projects but, the profits is always on the project team.

Bitcoin happens to be the safe zone for newbie investors in the cryptospace although, you’ve got to be well disciplined and equipped with a great amount of patience not yo be moved by the FUD that drags the market most times.
Many might prefer altcoins because it’s relatively cheap and if you’re lucky, you could make over 1000x on your investment but is it always the case? You guys know better from experience and with that, you know where to direct your investment funds.
1011  Economy / Economics / Re: How to developed your capital on: September 03, 2023, 11:00:01 PM
But it's too much, we also have to be realistic in managing and enjoying life. Everything that the OP said is very true, but there are some things that must be developed within oneself and that is quite important, namely working hard to be able to apply these things and working hard to try to achieve whatever.
Capital is often a problem, but not for people who have high confidence and innovation in doing positive things.
I don’t understand you when you say, one has to work hard to attain the attributes in OP or perhaps that’s not what you’re implying.

Sincerely, I don’t think having to archive certain attributes to life has to do with working hard. It’s simply one having to be disciplined and futuristic about their planning that’s all. When you become so conscious of a tomorrow and realize the fact that, what isn’t invested has a potency for decline, you would think twice on how you use your generated funds. But, before you think of managing funds, you’ve got to have something going and you need capital for that. How do youths come by these capitals,

1. Legal means: This encompasses, grants, inheritance, working a job, selling some skill or course and some petty sales. Haven’t generated some funds, it falls to you in how to manage it for increase.
2. Illegal means: As much as it remains a not adorned aspect to generating funds, some have made fortune out of illegal schemes. One thing is for sure about this though, you often have a price to pay for it and the law is bound to catch up to you some day.
1012  Economy / Economics / Re: Stable coin or having USD in bank on: September 03, 2023, 08:14:57 PM
You’re better off having USD or EUR in your local fiat banks than having USDT in some centralized exchange.
What’s the saying about USDT, it’s said to be dollar pegged and for every USDT you have on an exchange, there is a physical equivalent of it in some bank or reserve some where.
If that be the case, what’s the difference with you having them dollar yourself in your local fiat bank account!

Where the difference comes in is in its usage as, you could easily use USDT on exchanges for active trading but, not so when it comes to having money on the bank. You still need to buy USDT.
On another hand, you could easily transfer USDT to the other part of the world but not so much for fiat.
Basically, it’s about what’s your intent on this hodlings. If you haven’t got any and you just want to be safe hodling one of it, fiat dollar is much better.
1013  Other / Meta / Re: A good statistics to show Nigeria need more merits source to approved at least 2 on: September 03, 2023, 06:33:44 PM
Nigeria is a phenomenal nation and so is its people.
One thing I’ve been looking forward to is a possible grounding or creation of sub-boards to push for a more appreciation of the board and the discussions that follows there off. in the phase of looking towards what could be done in its organization,

It’s not over emphasized the activeness of Nigerians towards the forum and cryptospace as a whole. Having not just a single merit source but, merit source with a good enough allocations would serve the youngest local board and one of the most populated/active on the forum more in pushing for great contents and traffic.

Better still, we’ve got some good and active candidates that are versatile and have a face in the forum with their user. I vouch for users like CryptopreneurBrainboss on increased allocations haven’t been a great push towards the uplifting of Nigerians on the forum and the development of the board there in and the person of Igebotz who keeps tabs on users activities and coordination of the boards amongst for a merit source to the board.

The stripped white and black jersey for Manchester United don’t have that feeling like am watching a Manchester United game here, worst still, the Arsenal dominance is way high on the pitch.
It isn't black, it is dark green but looks quite like black on TV. Or maybe our mind interprets it like that, I was thinking I am watching Newcastle for first half an hour and getting surprised every time I see United player  Grin Ok, embellishing a little but it was weird experience.
Yeah, I only later noticed that when the camera zoomed in but mehn, it was so Newcastle United and the only convincing part to it was, the billboard fixtures and the style of play as am sure, Newcastle United will play way much better than  Manchester United showed in this match. They played like a scared team, always delaying the ball and were willing to settle for a draw even.
It was a lovely ball and brilliant finish from Garnacho, I feel that goal should have been given but, it was just inches off.

Saka wasn’t so impressive today. To have missed two golden opportunities, he just wasn’t in for anything explicit. Fortunately, two loosed canons in D. Rice and G. Jesus had to get there first for the team and against Manchester United.

@NotATether Congrats you are this GW winner, your free bet will be on Sportsbet account tomorrow afternoon, enjoy it Smiley
That triple captain chip really paid off for you.
It sure did. A hat trick and an assist for just a game, it’s a performance for a double game week.
Congratulations on taking the international break initiative to use that important chip. Great one pinning your name to GW4.
1015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will the transfers to the Saudi league become a problem for European football? on: September 03, 2023, 05:15:51 PM
Nope, it's not really a problem.

Not all football fans are want to watch specific player they fan especially the league is using a language that they not understand. As long as Ballon d'Or is rewarded to top league and both UEFA Champions with Europa league are popular, nothing should be worried.

The European countries must be worried if AFC Champions league is more popular than UEFA Champions league.
This is apparently the case at the moment.
Still, with the aim of Saudi Arabia trying to develop there leagues starting with getting to host the World Cup and now, actively participating in the transfer seasons to get not just players that are close to hanging their boots but, players that are still within there prime, you could say they are getting somewhere but, not one without challenge.

The development and promotions to the  European football is much more than the Saudi side could ever hope for at the time and the many history the European side have got on its fans, it would be difficult to have few transfers on elite players to change that.
A lot of barriers still exists within the Saudi culture and that wouldn’t do much to compete favorably with the European side. Europe will still be kicking at the games for a long time to come.
1016  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [banned mixer] 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: September 03, 2023, 04:39:56 PM
Not a good week to not have Haaland, eh? Roll Eyes
with Saka, Havertz and Gapko there are still these three players left, who can still get some points for me today
What point expectation do you have on Havertz to have let him future on the squad… he’s just another average player who’s point is basically based on team performance, he doesn’t have any real critical contribution to the games. He’s loosed pass gave Manchester United there goal. I guess his just an available price option for you Cygan, isn’t it?
And Saka picked up a yellow card, that was so unnecessary and I feel the referee shouldn’t have given that, he was in possession of the ball, was falling and trying to get the ball before he made that contact with B. Fernandez. Still waiting on his goal.

The stripped white and black jersey for Manchester United don’t have that feeling like am watching a Manchester United game here, worst still, the Arsenal dominance is way high on the pitch.
1017  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you risking investment in other things? on: September 02, 2023, 11:57:15 PM
Diversification doesn’t have to be equated with seasons. Nope, despite the seasons and expectations, having all your investments stocked in a single product or commodity isn’t a best idea.
The idea of diversification is you having yo prepare for the unforeseen or unknown as, your expectations could become a worst nightmare when it doesn’t play out.

Having all your money withdrawn from other investments to buy bitcoin isn’t a very sound idea. If you e hit a good investment in other commodities or products, though it might be slow, you’ve still got some assurances and insurance in case of failures in other investments. Don’t get too greedy about it but ensure you work on increasing your portfolio from generated profits and other spare cash.
1018  Economy / Economics / Re: I wonder if food prices in your country have also increased? on: September 02, 2023, 11:30:14 PM
~ But I was wondering if this only happened in my country or in your country too?

Right now it's a harvest season where I live. Consequently many agricultural products cost much less than half a year ago. But, surprisingly, some products, like watermelons, tomatoes, potatoes, sweet corn and peppers and some others, they cost less than a year ago during a previous harvest season.  In my country there are no such rules as "husband doing serious work and wife's doing buying and cooking". I love to cook and pretty often I buy products myself, so I know what I'm talking about. My advice: buy what is cheap at the moment and ignore overpriced stuff.
Apparently there isn’t any written rule as to the role of a woman, it’s just a division that is religiously driven and based on the idea of one having to be more productive than the other.

Now, it’s either you believe and take to it or not. Still, you can always choose and not having to pressure the other party to take to your beliefs.

When we talk about buying some cheap products especially during there harvest seasons, the question is always about preservation.
Still, people associate quality to price as you often don’t find the best quality cheap and this have driven the price of certain products to an insane price. It’s a sad reality but, we often play by these rules eventually.
1019  Economy / Economics / Re: Business failure among small-scale entrepreneurs on: September 02, 2023, 11:12:04 PM
Inability to maintain quality can also be a reason for a business to fail, Customer's always want the best, the moment their is lack of value it can change the mind of Customer's to go after something else and may not come back. Business can also fail when you don't know what your customer want.
That’s why there are surveys to a business.
It’s a vital yet neglected side of most businesses. Some of the reasons being that, people don’t see the need to look into just how the product is appreciated and why. Rather, they depend on advertisements to do all the job for them but, it’s not overly that.
Running surveys once in a while gives you an idea into the customer’s perspective of what they want, why they want it and what’s the line of preference between close competitors. To get these data sets, you need to go out there into the field or have customers come to you in a promotion but watch out, promotions could offer some bias as, most of those that would come by will be hoping on some price and as such, be biased in there qualifying of the product.

Of course, if we can't maintain the product quality or the quality of our service, the customers may feel disappointed. The customers always want to get the best quality, they will always compare our quality with others. When they think others have better quality, they will never come back again and totally move to another one. That's why maintaining the quality has a big role to keep the trust among the customers.
Quality is very important as much as quantity. Apparently, customers can’t always have them both but then, it’s better to deliver quality and have your customers dilute them into quantity if they do wish and be good.
1020  Economy / Economics / Re: How to avoid over expenses and have discipline on: September 02, 2023, 10:08:13 PM
1. Make a realistic budget
~snipe~
This is where the major work would be done, having realistic budgets. It defines you as per standard of living, what you can archive within a period of time, how you’re expected to raise the funds for these expenditures and when it’s expected to get exhausted. That’s way, you have a summary of what your circle would be and how to keep up.

Quote
2. Find out what triggers the cost
It's important that we know this if it's stress, boredom, pressure from friends, need to follow the trend and so on. It is important that we have discipline in these things if you want to avoid overspending. For example, if you're bored, you hang out online shopping at Lazada, Amazon, and others, this habit should be replaced with something more productive, such as cleaning the house and others where you can avoid it and do something good.
That’s another one. At the very most, we are humans and as humans, we are moved by a lot of emotions. Some of which makes us depressed, feel under appreciated, feel we aren’t doing enough and just like that, you’re pushed out of the space of what you can do, should do or shouldn’t. Peer pressure or societal norms, a not to be caught in circle.

Quote
4. Make the 24 hour rule
This rule helped me when I was building in this way. Because when I want to buy something, I put it off for 24 hours, and during this time I learn how to assess these things. Usually the excitement we experience disappears immediately after a few hours. You imagine the sacrifices you will make when you accomplish them. Like the small savings you have or sometimes we will even borrow the money we will use here. At least in this way we can avoid impulsive buying or bursts of emotion.
That’s some rule!
I haven’t really thought this through myself but, it’s definitely something worth trying out to see how my interest plays out. It just might get intense, can’t say for sure but, if this happened to have proven useful in your case, then it’s worth trying.
