You might be surprised to hear this, but I'm not aiming for the top of the log just yet; I'm just having fun with my pick while staying near to the gap. And my captaincy decision was completely based on my ST option's recent form, not on hitting the right differential. Halaand and City have the easiest draw this weekend, but Halaand has been horrible without KDB in the midfield, he's been isolated, and he's not getting enough service up front as usual, so I'm concerned about him blanking again.
Am having a hard time believing that you ain’t aiming to be at the top just yet. The weekly freebies is something you would want. I know I want that and again, the idea continues to be not staying far from the prizes but of course, that isn’t something you could predict from your picks.
Like, I wasn’t particularly proud of my team selection this week. I do baldy needed Bowen on my team because I knew what impact he could make to the game, he didn’t disappoint but then, my bank role didn’t allow it. Can’t believe just about £0.3m kept me away from getting them points from Bowen today. Mbeumo whom I acquired flopped. The whole Palace players was wack! Just few players left from absolute nothingness in the GW.

Trofo, seems our guy is Saka is back with the penalties.
1002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: August 26, 2023, 06:47:36 PM
Havertz was awful. Starting with Trossard was a mistake. If Partey will be sent I don't know why Arteta still starting him.
What was Arteta and the board thinking when they bought K. Havertz? Did they think he could be a significant addition to the team and bring about any significant change… I think not. It’s just going to be the same as it were in Chelsea. That’s just how bad he plays.

Well, they didn’t lose but sharing point was very much not the plan for Arsenal in a home game against a team like Fulham. They just had a rough start letting Fulham take the lead and Fulham managed a good defense in the game, even with a one man down at the 80+ minute, they still managed to maintain there play but, it was a long added time from the way Arsenal played. They didn’t make it look any easy, they were about the Fulham box till the final whistle. Won’t count this to be a lose for Arsenal, they just didn’t had a bad day in letting Fulham get the most of them with that equalizer.
1003  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: August 26, 2023, 03:23:04 PM
It’s gradually turning into an interesting EPL weekend after all, Arsenal loosing at home to Fulham, Manchester United just a managed to level up with Nottingham Forest and are still kicking for more chances at goal, Brentford beating Crystal Palace by a goal to zero. So far, only Tottenham as managed it to prove themselves a top tier team by taking the lead early, scoring a second goal to advance there position and maintaining there lead to the final whistle.

There is still enough playing time to change something for the games that are live at the moment and Manchester United is really pressing hard with B. Fernandez and Anthony getting dangerous balls to the box.
Arsenal is still finding there options but, Fulham has been reading them good with a packed defensive line to keep them at bay.
1004  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Do You Think Military Intervention Is Needed In Republic? on: August 25, 2023, 11:33:34 PM
Do you think a military intervention is needed in Niger Republic?
Well, e no be like say e get any of the forms of government way too better shah but then, I go ask say, where ECOWAS been Dey when e get this abd and out of hand?
The problem we Dey get at times be say, these bodies go see watin Dey bad but based on economic benefits of member nation states, them go ignore and wait until e get out of hand like this before them go reason to wan restore civilian government.

Left for me alone, I go say make Niger settle their matter by themselves. Military government fit still Favour them last last via say, this guys sabi instill discipline in its citizens and watin them Dey wake up against dey ideal to help African nations. Make we keep the foreigners way go wan buy us cheap and sell to us costly out, make we do am ourselves.
1005  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Useful information for Nigerian newbies on: August 25, 2023, 11:18:38 PM
I have a questions? what are the things newbies should do to earn more merit, and what is the advantages of merit, also and also what should encourage the newbies to get more post.we are new in the forum so we still need, some guide so that we can meet up with our daily post.
Before I start, I go say make you no just grow for forum and be empty everywhere else or other aspects to the cryptocurrency. Watin you Dey see and talk about, make e sink in you.

When it comes to watin you go do yo earn merit?
E no get any specifics to watin you go do other than to be yourself while being more active and contribute to the forum. That’s because, e no get any specific thing way Dey attract the merit and people Dey merit based on how e Dey there body so, watin sweet for one man eye no fit sure for the next. Do your thing and put yourself inside watin you Dey do.

Advantages of merit na rewarding power and e qualify you or speak for you where you no need to use words defend your quality.

The encouragement should come from people way don pass through your level and that zeal in you to be like them and being curious about how this space/forum works.
1006  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Could Nigerian stabilise naira using friendly policies through cryptocurrency? on: August 25, 2023, 11:06:58 PM
So he was ask what could be done to address this depreciation of naira. he told the government the only way it will work is to take the Bitcoin from all those people transacting online and give them naira in exchange and then government can be in possession of all Bitcoins or crypto and turn them into dollars so as to bring more hard currencies into the country and that will help in stabilizing the naira.
Firstly, I go like say I no take time to run through that link because I feel say, the OP don pick the major already and based on that, I no really think say na the way to strengthen our Naira be that based on certain reasons.

One of the thing way make our own currency weak today na;
1. Import and export as per production.
2. The way we take foreign currency and if you look well in recent times, right from the presidential election, the dollarization of our financial system done Dey too much. Atiku, Wike and Tinubu make dollar con dey too common for we nation and even the agboro for street dey carry $100 dey parade everywhere.
3. We need stop this our borrow to finance the least for we nation.

All these no dey help and to reverse am na em fit give us better result.

Fault way dey Op be say;
Government no Evelyn fit take all our bitcoin even through selling via say, Omo, men wan hodl.
Secondly, when you take a buy dollar, you wan con spend am for the nation abi to carry am go buy something abroad. In that case, no forget say you go first exchange am abi as fiat for those way get dollar account but still, the collecting na impossible.

Excellent scouting....

Gabriel ==> Gusto
On days like this, my good friend and brother Igebotz would ask me to get a Chelsea player on my team but yark, am not buying it. Chelsea was impressive today none the less but, against a team like Luton Town, Luton town!

Gusto have surely got something, always trying to get the ball forward and his assist to R. Sterling did cut just right and the Luton Town defense was awful to have let R. Sterling own there penalty spot the way he did.

Seems it’s going to be a good week for you after all brother, I want to see you winning the game week, don’t fvck this up.
Oh, oh you did! Trofo check that out, Watkins have got his band after all. Let’s see what he does with it.
1008  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Network Congestion Issue in Ramitano on: August 24, 2023, 11:59:21 PM
No be lie shah, I dey do some run around with this exchange and e happen say, na so. I send coins to them through an old address and the the coin con dey locked. E turn out say, them get some kind maintenance issue going on with there bitcoin deposit and withdrawal.
The bad part be say, these guys no pre inform there customers of any possible upgrade although, them make there deposit icon for address request dey unclickable.
This na there way to make deposit impossible at your end but, if you already had an address bookmarked somewhere, you fit send and them go lock am.
For now, you need to avoid bitcoin deposit on Remitano else, you might be sorry at the end. Other coins dey okay shah. Where matter Dey be say, the demand on altcoins no too sure and the bid price no dey pump like that of bitcoin.
1009  Economy / Economics / Re: Were Banks and Governments behind this Dump? on: August 24, 2023, 11:53:22 PM
My tale? The market reacts to several things. Be cautious when assigning blame or making assumptions. Please step back and discover more reliable sources
Thanks for the heads up but I already confessed in my topic that I am not providing any sources but if anyone has some to back my thoughts or conspiracies then I am more than ok with them. And TBH, after reading these 5 causes I did not stooped my myself for making this topic even though there are not some stats and figure other than news. But if we dig more then we will definitely find some. But, I also agreed that these might not be the only factors included in this downtrend instead in my few previous replies i confessed that the market volume dropped more than the price extracted by SpaceX only (they withdrawal around $350+ Mil dollars but the market cap loses more. Means it might be a domino effect to triggers things out or market was flat too.
Well assuming the government could be involved might be something but possibly not in the sense of them having to make any actual or direct involvement in its price dump by making withdrawals or pumping more coins into the market to over run supply! By that I mean, seized coins and all. Of course the US government is always those to look out for on this but, I think where the government can step in on this would be in the FUD they would promote and even little reactions towards the negative is a win for them.

What I do believe is the Elon syndrome that tends to follow his fans and weak hands. People tend to listen to these people and never get to do there own research because, his ways got him where he is right now, at the top of Forbes list but, that doesn’t mean you take in on all his decisions as some could have ulterior motives which you aren’t in on.

That SpaceX had to floored the market with $350m+ worth of bitcoin doesn’t mean that’s the same amount you expect to get out. People, weak hands are going to go with this energy. Still, those who have a better understanding would hodl and buy through all this period.
1010  Economy / Economics / Re: Which problem will you choose to solve? on: August 24, 2023, 11:31:36 PM
I came across this tweet, so the reference is the username. I thought it was a topic worth bringing up for discussion to see the choice that will be made by forum members. This topic is about solving problems as a service you render to make a living. Which of the problems will you prefer to solve as a service you render? the problems of the poor? or the problems of the rich? (support your choice with a reason)
Well, when you think about the poor and the means by which you could aid them, your moved by compassion to make this choices but, in the course of making a survival as well and not get to hurt anyone by doing something illegal, I’ll probably pick the poor still.
Yeah, the rich might yield me some quick cash, probably stress me less but then,
In helping the poor, you gain more than the money you would generate from the service but, respect and never forget that some of those guys might turn out to be rich in future. Some of those we call rich today actually walked their way up the stairs from little and bottom beginnings.

Life isn’t all about profit, not saying you shouldn’t get what you could get but in the bid that you could get satisfaction and continuity from helping those with less, you would be great with your life as well. Humanity needs to be a part of your approach towards duty.
1011  Economy / Economics / Re: Any business where today you launch, tomorrow you begin making profit...? on: August 24, 2023, 11:00:21 PM
So the business should be: today I officially launch it, the next day, profit start rolling in, and it would last eternally, the income stream keep coming for the next 999 years, and it would be suffice to self sustain, self reliance include financing every operational cost by itself, and only happy ending. Not a single bad ending.
It’s an all over the place and nowhere story, didn’t have a soft landing on this.

You want a business that makes no loses and just profits right from its launch?

You must have suffered severe lose and don’t want no more but, the reality of things is that, there is always going to be loses. That’s business for you and worst still, you’re looking out for a new business. This means, you’re inexperienced at it and would be learning everything about it as new, you can’t hope to be perfect in a new world where you game with profit and lose. Even the business is out there to get you, your customers and competition.

You would be better of understanding that, there are loses in and to business and that way, you could find means to avoid them or not get a lot of loses in course of running the business. It’s the most you could do but, there would be loses.
1012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [banned mixer] 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: August 24, 2023, 10:22:04 PM
^Problem is Saka, gave a way penalty, which means he doesn't really want that extra pressure and spotlight. Can you imagine Salah or Kane giving away a chance to score from the spot?
The experience of EUROS flashes before his eyes- I can't blame him but the problem is he is likely going to lose that position to Ode.
Probably that but, his taken other penalties after that and scored. I guess that was just another way of honoring their young captain whom was yet to get on the score sheet. Saka didn’t really care about the rest of us getting that point off him.

My take on Watkins
He is great player but without penalties I don't think he is worth 8M. Not gonna captain him for sure and I don't believe for one second Igebotz will do it  Grin
He is actually one of the more probable transfers out for me this week. Still a lot of combinations, waiting for some Maddison news before pulling the trigger.
Trust me when I say he'll be ahead of Halaand for the time being. I had no doubts or anything after his Hattrick last night. Watkins will deliver this weekend. Trust me on this.
Okay, that’s real funny now. I was laughing when Trofo said ain’t no chance of captaining Watkins but, you saying his going to get ahead of E. Halaand in GW3, Halaand that just couldn’t find a goal from there last game, am sure your joking on that. He’s probably going to end up with average points just like last week and wouldn’t underestimate Burnley. They aren’t looking to be relegated again to the championship and there next game would be by some means to prove that to themselves and there worth in the EPL.

I’ll be looking at for that captain bro, you might just beat your last GW 10points with another 10points. At least, Halaand only gave us 4,  Cheesy
1013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [banned mixer] 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: August 24, 2023, 03:21:27 PM
GW 2 was pure FPL, Saka not on penalties anymore was something not many predicted but it worked really well for some, like our GW2 winner Cryptofrka.
Congrats, that will be 1 mBTC free bet paid next Monday.
Saka not on penalties,,,
Can’t say that was the case for sure as it was practically a handing down based on the players on who was best to have taken the shot. Listening to Arteta speak after the game pointed that out and M. Odegaard placed it beautifully. Saka would get his chance when time.

Am wondering what this week would hold and the thread has been a lot quite on possible changes to who could make it rain. Speaking of which,

-snip
Small tip: Take Wilson out and replace him with Watkins - Aston Villa play Burnley this weekend, and he'll be my captain.

bear in mind that Villa scored four against Everton, and Watkins was not on a scoresheet
I feel that would be the best reason why his got to find a goal against Burnley but, Vincent Kompany would be looking to win, haven’t lost quite a few games and with them playing from a home side, it would be some defensive strategy to keep Watkins down and I hope they do because, I just off him from my team for average points on 2 consecutive game weeks. I could see him return but at the moment, I got a replacement.

So, am banking on your comment casperBGD, hope Igebotz is wrong on this one.
1014  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much it cost to most ALL internet with your casino advertisement? $6.2m/d on: August 24, 2023, 02:50:22 PM
19,562 places/accounts if I get that correctly! That’s a lot of places and a lot of accounts in between.
So long as it’s a team effort, it could work but, am not sure it’s ideal given that most of the promotions that could arise from this sort of large organization would be spam based and that ain’t some means to promote a good project. Not saying it would be but actually say, it could be the case.

While, the $6,234,850.00 per day might not seem like a lot to you at OP, I think you should recall that, that would be per day and your talking about six million, two hundred and thirty four thousand, eight hundred and fifty dollar if am to spell it out for you to make sense. That’s a whole lot of money for just a day’s promotion whose result is under probability.
1015  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth it to teach older people about bitcoin technology? on: August 23, 2023, 10:22:54 PM

One thing the OP failed to point out is, the age range being referred to as old and even with that, it’s of great importance that the old or aged persons be thought what is and how to use bitcoin. This might not be for the purpose of them having to invest but to secure them from the dangers logging around on the internet.

We all know how scammers prioritize or centers their scam schemes on the old, they prey on them for their fading senses and ignorance to the science around us. Hence, an aged individual with an internet enabled device is a dangerous person to himself or herself.

This backs the reason why you need to sensitize them if they are still capable of comprehension, what is and what ought to be. To protect them from those who might want to prey on any ignorance in their continued existence. There isn’t any limitation to knowledge except where you place it.
1016  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: August 23, 2023, 12:44:35 PM
El Salvador is the first country to make Bitcoin a legal tender while Binance is the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world. For Binance to now be the first to earn the full operating licence of El Salvador is never strange but a good relationship as it has all it takes. Even the country might be the initiator of this judging by the status of Binance and the love of Bitcoin by the country. By this, they could possibly get everything they want from an exchange and crypto transactions easily and it will bring about more crypto businesses within and outside the country. This will also cause more exchanges to register and be compelled to get a full licence.

Personally, I view exchanges just like banks, a fintech kind of bank, it's a win-win affair for the country and Binance, and it's another pace-setting because the world will be watching their relationship with Binance and it could be a litmus test for other countries over time.
I just wanted to dive in the space to see just how El-Salvador has handled things after they did trend a long time ago but, I don’t think I got the update I hoped to see here still.

The licensing of Binance in a partnership form of operation or perhaps am not using the best world to describe what’s the deal with El-Salvador and Binance, it always leaves me with mixed feelings as we know, this is a centralized system within a centralized system in the cryptospace and with government of nations looking out for crypto regulations and an insight into how citizens make use of cryptocurrency, this provides for them a window of opportunity although, exchange policies is there to protect user data but, there could be something done to benefit both sides at the detriment of a concerned about transaction and user. Not really that this can happen but, it’s often a thought on my mind of a scenario.
1017  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the launch of $350M crypto mining centre in Oman make a difference? on: August 23, 2023, 12:36:12 PM
Bitcoin Mining Map from Cambridge Bitcoin Electricity Consumption Index does not show Oman.
It’s an interesting site you’ve provided and I must say thanks yo that, given all the statistics it’s got set up although, the Greenhouse Gases Emission status wasn’t clickable on my end so, I wasn’t able to verify on what is or what could be on that.

Still, the possible reason as to why the states might not have been recorded is possibly due to the fact that, the project isn’t fully launched or functional yet. The OP states that, it’s got a mapped town for the purpose of mining.

that Oman the well known Oil rich city  sets aside  a mapped town for Crypto mining
One thing I know for sure is the exposure that would come to this part of the world and not just them but, the globe at large as the campaign for more acceptance and creating a space where bitcoin would be used along with everyday fiat currency for a more stable society would be the case.

Even the more better for Oman, the project is coming just before the halving and would meet a bullrun to spike the economy of its people.
1018  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't wait for the bottom without buying in the Dip. on: August 23, 2023, 11:36:52 AM
I was thinking that before the end of this year Bitcoin will spike and get to $60k or not lower than $40k or far above it and it has just been my prediction, I also did not think that Bitcoin will even drop bellow the $28k level again this year, but I believe I got disappointed on my assumption and it was really a good thing that my assumption failed, because if it had not, I will not be able to buy bitcoin around $26k and also bought in $25k.

A; you may be waiting for the bottom and the market will recover so quickly than you less expect.
This is how you tell it all. It is the reason that backs the infamous DCA strategy towards bitcoin investment. You get to invest the much you have when you have not minding the price at the time and be rest assured that bitcoin would pump some day.

The price of bitcoin is highly volatile and unpredictable. It’s the one thing that helps the keeps the coin going and the project from those who would just come hunting for profit from taking what they will and leave without any proper plan on hodling through the various market conditions.

Your best bet or proper plan would be, to buy and hodl for an indefinite time and you need a lot of patience to do that. This would bring you in luck with all the good things that would happen within the space.
1019  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you go about realizing gains? If you opt not to, what is your reason? on: August 23, 2023, 11:10:12 AM
How do you intend to secure profits once the market undergoes a turnaround? What proves to be the most formidable obstacle in executing this strategy? If your intention isn't to convert profits back to fiat, kindly explain your philosophy regarding this choice.
There are more than one approach or means to approach your bitcoin investment and most times, all are okay providing you don’t get to liquidate your portfolio. That’s where the issue always comes kicking for most. You’ll later realize that, you would have had far better chances at profit by always putting some of your coins away from liquidation. Let the bears rain on it if they would but don’t forget the bulls will also have their town and even then, don’t liquidate.
Hodling serves you better and you could as well use your coins periodically as the need applies. Don’t be amongst the tell tale people that would wish they had hodl the much they had when the price becomes something unbelievable because it will.

This was actually one of the main drivers behind my decision to leave Haaland out of my team.
90% of people had him in their teams the last time I checked - meaning that I'm in a really good position for the freebets any time he struggles.

With KDB out, I'm curious to see if people will start selling him. He'll still get a shitload of points, but the price to pay is high.
I give it to you guys, the Livecasino boys, getting to win the first and second second GW freebies but then,

What was some way to think! Living E. Haaland out based on a priced option for most. Still, it’s one way to be out of the competition because, he does comes up with interesting points at the end of the game and doesn’t flop very much. In 5 games, you could expect him to show his big boots in 4 of the games.

That means, you’ve got a lot of triers to make and there ain’t any promises about whom is used to measure up being his equal in points at the end of the day. We just trying our hands on strategies and this happens to have worked out good for you in this round. Congrats
