1001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any fun in losing while gambling on: February 01, 2024, 12:47:49 AM
I think that not gambling any longer is not a solution. For instance, if I sell my laptop and use the money to gamble and then lose it, if I stop gambling, does it take away the fact that my laptop was sold and used for gambling? Of course not. The problem remains with the gambler whether he stops or not. If he stops, he must seek another alternative, either selling another property to replace his laptop if the laptop is so important to him or borrowing money. If he borrows money, he becomes a debtor and must seek a way to pay it back. On the other hand, if he continues gambling maybe he will win. But then, instead of advocating that a gambler shouldn`t gamble anymore because of the possibility of experiencing more loss, it will be more profitable for the gambler to set a limitation and stick to it.

You are talking about extreme cases here where you say that one loses everything in gambling and he has no money left but to borrow money to gamble more. Lending money for gambling is never recommended but why the gambler reach such a situation where he has to borrow money or sell his assets ?

This means that the gambler is doing something extremely wrong that lead him to this situation. It is either he is not following any risk management or money management plan, or he to too emotional and greedy that he does not know how and when to cash out profits. Many gamblers will win in gambling but they do not handle their winnings properly, reinvest in games and then lose everything. And yes, there is no fun without money  Wink
Not stopping will make him sell another property, thereby compounding his troubles. If he stops, he wouldn't battle anymore with borrowing money or finishing his belongings for the sake of gambling. Gamblers who have decided to sell things to raise money, may not find it a happy ending if they don't win enough money. Such people are not expected to stay happy while losing. Gamblers who enjoy the process of losing, don't have anything to lose. Instead, they are winning by earning some experiences with gambling and how to manage their emotions and money. Gamblers are not governed by same mentality or aim. Everyone has his unique reason of participating in gambling. Some gamblers get the fun, while losing few funds and their time. Many others don't find it funny in any form. Differences in gambling has made it impossible for people to generalize on the effect of gambling on players.
1002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When I'm emotional, I LOSS! on: February 01, 2024, 12:30:33 AM
I have this problem, and based on my personal experience, I find that sometimes I get challenged but not too greedy because I don't have a problem quitting when I'm winning. However, when I'm losing, that's where my struggle lies.

This is a common problem among many gamblers, not knowing when to quit is the reason many individuals are addicted to gambling and constantly losing money when gambling. When you can't control you emotions, you'll be gambling continuously and end up being a gambling addict. When gambling don't get too emotional, quit when you're not winning and also stop playing when you're winning so you don't get too confident and lose money from greediness.

You're not disciplinary this is why you're having this problem, if you can learn self control you won't be over gambling or over staking money. Gamble with responsibleness that's the right way to gamble. Don't try to revenge your bets when you lose but gamble as a way of entertaining yourself and you won't get disappointment regardless of losing your bets. When gambling, winning isn't always the outcomes.

That's a trouble and requires extra help to make it out of the struggle. In this stage, it's no longer in his jurisdiction to stop those feelings. Since he's been feeling this way for quite a long time, opening up to people around him would be a best choice for Op. His emotions have clouded his thoughts, and he is having a hard time making decision on stopping. If his thoughts were sound and able to control the body, he'll easily wake up and stop gambling if his losses are getting countless. Hence, the player may not have any aim of why he's behaving the way he's found himself. Trying to retaliate for his money, wouldn't be the issue. It's a one-sided case. The player controls himself to stop when winning. That means he gets worried emotionally, while losing, and must win to be free from his worrisome thoughts of losing often his funds.
1003  Other / Off-topic / Re: Having a regular/steady income is important as a gambler. on: February 01, 2024, 12:11:07 AM
I have watched a short film like this where a person who was just a businessman slowly got interested in gambling and how ended up losing everything within a couple of months. No matter how wealthy a person is. If someone cannot control themself from gambling, it will end up ruining their entire career. It's better if you do not gamble at all. But, whoever already entered there, only a few percentage of people were able to quit gambling.

If you cannot quit gambling, be responsible. Make a target that you won't gamble today if you lose $20 in this session and you will end the session if you win $50 today. The amount could depends on how wealthy you are or how much is your gambling budget is.

Addiction knows no boundary, experts or professionals are vulnerable to it. Gamblers need to stay careful at all costs, not to fail. The income earners who get addicted along the line, will most likely end up facing a hard time with their businesses. It's one of the fastest means of crumbling a business. The gambler's productivity could be affected due to the addiction in him, which won't let him focus and do the right thing. So, if the player is lacking self-control, he's expected to stay away from gambling, unless he's ready to risk the focus he's got for his work or business. Such a bankroll management, as you mentioned, is quite good and would help the gambler to have extra funds to gamble another day, whenever he feels the urge to gamble. Although it could be hard to control, but it's better to start from somewhere.

1004  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING DISORDER on: January 31, 2024, 11:00:02 PM
Everyone should be aware of gambling, so that all his money goes to gambling. An amount of money should be budgeted for gambling, so that the joy of gambling is not lost even if you lose. Gambling is definitely a matter of fun and enjoyment, I think gambling companies never influence a person to gamble. Everything depends on yourself in gambling. Gambling companies can never be held responsible for an individual's uncontrolled gambling play. If you feel that you are addicted to gambling then you must gradually come out of gambling. However, it is not possible for gambling addicts to completely stop gambling. Gambling addicts should gamble once in 15 days to break the addiction
Not everyone plays gambling for fun most people go into gambling because of the money they want to win from it, what i have observed from most young gamblers now are days is that they come into gambling as a result of them seeing someone who have won big money from gambling and the person is leaving well with the money might have started something good and they want to earn and be like that, which could only lead them out from the fun that gambling gives and they will end up focusing on the winning aspect which they might end up losing all the time.

Budgeting is great, whether a player is focused on getting fun or not. What is crucial in a gambler's life is being able to avoid compulsive gambling. Like Op is battling with his thoughts, and what gambling has done to him mentally. It's safe to say it's gambling, and not him. But at the initial stage when he started gambling, the blame should be on the gambler. As he was in control of himself. That's the aim of gambler, not to fail during the early stages of their gambling habit. It's a matter of self-consciousness. If Op is keen to change and doesn't want to gamble anymore, it'll take him longer time, depending on the healing method and process. The gambler's family need to also join in changing their ward's lifestyle. No need blaming the casino, being focused on getting cured is the right move expected of any gambler.
1005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling game is not good and everyone should stay away from it on: January 31, 2024, 10:50:02 PM
Gambling is definitely not bad but excessive gambling can definitely have bad effects. Nothing is bad if it is not excessive. We eat and drink but excessive eating and drinking definitely has harmful effects on the body just like gambling has negative effects on people if it is excessive. If someone participates in gambling just for pleasure then it is undoubtedly good but if the gambler participates in gambling for money instead of pleasure then surely gambling will have negative effects. If someone participates in gambling, it has a negative impact on the family and society. But we have to take care that our bad habits do not have a bad effect on the family, society and the state, that's why we must always keep ourselves under control.
Gambling is not as bad as everyone thinks. And  as for me Gambling excessively is interesting because we are risk takers and we will continue to take risk. Even despite what everything everyone is saying. There are people that only survive with gambling. And when they are making money they will call them professional and when they lose money they start calling it addiction. We know that some people take it too extreme we know that. Gambling is pleasurable and also profitable. And we all know that we gamble for the money no argument about it.  And I don't think our gambling habits suppose to be a problem for our families, since am not asking money from them i don't think my gambling will affect them.

A responsible gambler doesn't have any reason to bother about causing his family any problem. He's actually focused on being a better gambler than winning. Since, as a gambler, it's certain the money won't be coming consistently. No need bothering over it. Such self-disturbance has affected the thoughts of many gamblers to think of themselves as a no lucky gambler. However, what matters is the ways of the gambler, if he's struggling with change, he'll find it hard to control his family. Gambling excessively, is not a great idea. Only few people could moderate the speed of constantly losing money while gambling excessively. The player could get lost in the journey, trying to survive from problem gambling. Speedy decisions affect the strength of a gambler's predictions. No need rushing it. Gradually making conclusion on what to do next could help the gambler to be a better gambler, that'll take care of his family.
1006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: stop the unnecessary blame on gambling whenever you get unlucky on: January 31, 2024, 10:41:18 PM
"Share your thought on how gambling has come through for you if you got any".
Firstly, gambling is not an investment. It's a game where you will lose and win. Investment is you putting your money in places/items that can make your money continue to make money. And you can't say you invest in gambling games.

Secondly, you say they should have considered the consequences. Some gamblers I know think they can make money from gambling and get rich quickly. Get rich instantly. They are willing to spend their money just to bet in the hope of getting the jackpot. So in my opinion most gamblers don't understand and can think carefully about what they are doing.

The gamblers who look to make huge money via gambling may end up blaming the casino for not providing them enough wins. Players are having a hard time trying to get the type of money they seek while gambling, instead of going for the fun, they're completely taken away by the joy of other winners around them. They forget that while gambling could be hard to win, people win every day, but listening to their stories you'd notice they've been losing as well. Hence, players who think that they could win, like any other gambler they've set their eyes on who won some money, may be lying to himself. Because that's not true. He could end up finding it difficult to accept the fault is from his end than he thinks of the casino. Gamblers have a lot to learn, which wouldn't get achieved easily, the player has to experience thicks and thins for his thoughts to balance while gambling. Such that whenever, he doesn't win, it won't cross his mind to blame the casino.
1007  Other / Off-topic / Re: Know when to stop on: January 31, 2024, 10:19:00 PM
I like the idea of stopping when you are up. Better to stop playing after a sequence of wins than after losing it all
The thing is that its hard to say “i had enough of this” specially if you are winning a lot
Takes a lot of wisdom and practice to be able to do it.

Some will probably fail on this endeavor

A lot of people struggle emotionally to know exactly when to stop their gambling session. The journey is on the gambler and how he's meant to manage his money. If a player is concerned about not losing out his hard-earned money, he wouldn't have to waste more time gambling while he's losing. The trouble happens to gamblers who think they're the parasites that could feed on the casino's money, not knowing that the casino operates with parasitism. A gambler with no goals, is like a traveler without a destination. He won't know when to stop. The goal of a gambler revolves around his gambling durations, money management, risk and strategies. However, when a player is not concerned about such things as gambling with cautions, he's free to do whatever is best by him.
1008  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling game is not good and everyone should stay away from it on: January 31, 2024, 06:40:27 PM
There's nothing bad in gambling, we ourselves find life sometimes difficult to cope with because we lack the ability to make the best decision of living it the right way, we cannot blame other things when we are responsible for the outcomes we have in them, gambling gives the people means to enjoy themselves, have fun and get excited when on it, we can still learn about the aspect we like so much and have fun, this is the plan that should be intended on gambling and not with the way some other people take it for.

There's something bad with gambling for millions of non-gamblers around the globe. What is most crucial is the personal understanding or what exactly they are doing with gambling. The truth is that the society has variety of bad thoughts on gambling, which has erased completely the good aspect of gambling in the eyes of many people. Gamblers like you and me, can hit a hand on the chest, in assurance, and say gambling is great, but would be seen as irresponsible people by nearby gamblers. Looking out Op's fury on gambling as a result of how he saw his dad struggling from addiction, is the reason he's so sad about gambling. Consider many other people who addiction may have affected the joy in their homes. They'll hardly accept that there is nothing wrong with gambling, even when you are sure of it. Experience plays a vital role in the behavior of people around us. Don't misuse some statements around people you don't know, I'd prefer using such phrases when with follow gamblers, to avoid arguments or debates.
1009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling for fun vs gambling for the financial benefit. on: January 31, 2024, 06:24:03 PM

Do you really see gambling as more of fun than a means to a financial end?

how much can you put into gambling before it removes the fun aspect of gambling out of it?
Personally I view gambling as fun in as much as I only gamble with the amount of money I can afford to lose and as a soccer fan it makes sense to me watching the game as well as placing bet on my favorite teams that are likely going to win having  in-depth knowledge on soccer and it's bettings makes gambling on it as fun especially when I accumulated many matches with reasonable odd while staking with small amount of money, though earning money from gambling also serves as alternative source of income for me, infact I read stories of some third world countries where there is high rate of youth unemployment thus those resorted to gambling to make ends met.

Those stories of gamblers in third world countries making ends meet could be myths, as gamblers all over the world hardly make a living through the game. The difference could be that when there is a win, the player will be able to settle for his bill and debts. However, the need of gambling for financial purpose is not worth it, because of the nature of gambling. The casino is more interested in money, to keep the business rolling. What matters is providing a reliable service to the gamblers who utilize the platform. Although, it may seem to the gamblers that they're winning, but if calculated squarely the player will understand how the game is run in favor of the house, not the gambler. So as gamblers, doing it for fun is better than focusing on money, which may not be achievable.
1010  Other / Off-topic / Re: You can not win if you do not risk on: January 31, 2024, 06:11:01 PM
We need to take risks to win something, not only in gambling but in every aspect of our lives and the higher the risk ratio the higher the gain if the result is achieved successfully. To give an example specific to gambling, let's imagine that a popular football team competes with a lower league team in any event or cup match. In this case, since the winning rate of the popular and strong football team will be quite high, the winning rate of someone who bets with this option will also be low but the probability of winning for someone who bets by choosing the lower league team will be higher because the risk will be higher. In the shortest way possible, I can give an example of "the more bread, the more meatballs".
The example with teams in a cup match is so simple, firstly, it will not be easy for a weak team to win such a match, so the risk in this case is too great to risk a lot of money.

There is always enough risk in gambling, every time we play, we take risks, no matter which team you bet on in this cup match, there will be a risk of losing. And in a cup match this can happen more often than usual, because coaches of strong teams often give players from the bench the opportunity to play in cup matches in order to prove themselves on the field.

Both sides pose a threat of risk, regardless of the strength of the team. But the risk takers as the gamblers who wager on smaller teams to win, have a greater reward, but lesser chances of winning the game. However, they could win, but it's rarely possible. So, if a gambler is possibly interested in taking severe risks, he should be careful about it, and endeavor that it won't ruin his gambling journey. It's not simple for gamblers to make it out of gambling, clean, any mistake could be detrimental on the long run. While taking could be so rewarding in terms of money, the impact on the gambler is not recommended. The player may get glued to those risks and may lose out huge amount trying to make it big by taking more risky predictions.

Hello coin-investor, was chess game responsible for removing the irresistible gambling urge in you, how long was it until you were able to think clearly, as stated in your response. Board games as chess have some control over the brain, it enables us to think beyond the actions of the opponent. Thereby helping the person to take for few minutes, control of his thoughts. First time reading this, but chess game looks like a nice substitute for any other game that could remove addiction in a gambler's life. What matters is the conversations with the gambling addict. He'd need to understand the interesting aspect of playing such games as chess, and how it could uplift his thinking and take him miles away from gambling compulsively. However, the reactions may differ from one player to another, but it's indeed a great idea to divest the focus of the addict of gambling to chess.
Hello, Accardo Yeah I'd like to thank my friend for introducing me to the board game chess but, besides the game of chess, it was a good opportunity for him to talk me out of being an irresponsible gambler, while we were playing chess I am more susceptible to suggestions and on the many times that we've played he had a good influence on how I become a better gambler and of course a better chess player.
The mind should have a substitute when you have the urge to gamble, and it is one of the outlets, there are other outlets like taking more work so you'll have no time to gamble date a girl, or engage in physical sports, or  anything that can stimulate the mind to replace the urge to gamble.

Your friend played a good role of not just a great friend, but a therapist. The need of sharing the trouble with some close friends is quite a better method of escaping addiction. I mean, you wouldn't have succeeded alone, and such idea as playing chess wouldn't have been anything near to your horizon. The other methods of dealing with addiction other than what you've added above could include spending time with old friends, who stay far from our state or locality. I'm beginning to notice that humans tend to change alongside with their new location. When in a new place, I don't immediately participate in some activities like in my locality, due to the nature of the place and people around me. It'll take some time before feeling the urge or comfortably doing such things. Hence, it's safe to say that the few days or months the person doesn't engage in gambling, during his traveling period, could help him deal with addiction. At least it'll revive his thoughts on what he used to do while in his house, and let him make rules on the habit, and how he'll be gambling.
1012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: January 31, 2024, 05:43:41 PM
That's right, we have to be wise in taking risks that we might get and indirectly we are ready and accept it when the risk actually befalls us and when we know that the risk is clearly very detrimental to us personally then the steps that must be taken are immediately taken what we do is avoid it.
Of course the trust factor is also very influential here, if we have trusted someone or a gambling expert then I don't think we will be able to find trust in ourselves because we are in that person's shadow and in my opinion this looks very strange, because of trust. Self-confidence appears within a person with a sense of self-confidence that a person can choose and determine their own decisions. If I clearly follow my own predictions.
We can prevent the risk of losing money from becoming greater because we are in control of our gambling, so we can limit the amount of money we spend gambling on. We cannot use a lot of money to gamble if we have a lot of expenses or daily needs that must be met, so when placing bets, we must not be careless and follow our desires. We also don't need to trust someone who claims to be an expert in gambling because we also don't know whether he is really an expert or someone who just wants to take advantage of us. It's better to follow our predictions based on what we learn so we don't rely too much on them. We can also improve our analytical skills to become even better.

That's a vital point, people can walk up to us claiming to be expert gamblers, because they may have won some significant amount in the past. Anybody can win big in gambling. Gamblers who crown themselves experts on that basis of winning, are not in any way to be considered one. Paying them for help is another means of wasting money, coupled with the losses available in the gambler's end. Hence, I'd say that gamblers who have in mind to enjoy the game should not bother about laying interest on the prediction of some other folks who think that they're good or pro gamblers. Whatever will be the outcome of a game is what it's going to become. The goal of gambling for few is to have fun and enjoy their gambling journey. Nothing much nothing less. Any other expectations such as money is not guaranteed by any means, whatsoever, be it from an expert or not.
1013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do not gamble with Loan Money~otherwise you will be in danger like me on: January 31, 2024, 03:29:42 PM
Obviously, if someone uses borrowed money to gamble, it is not a good behavior for him, but he will fall into the abyss of decline in life. Yes, that's right, don't expect too much money from gambling because gambling is not a way to make money but to spend money quickly. For people who are addicted, they clearly cannot control their thoughts and mentality when gambling, it could be that emotional feelings and greed take over them so they cannot use their common sense properly.
Returning to each person's personality, if there is 1 in 100 people who are able to control themselves in gambling then they will not experience anything bad from the effects of the risks of gambling, but I am sure they will not make gambling a form of it. work but only as entertainment for himself.
However, there are still gamblers who use loans to gamble because their mindset is dominated by greed and uncontrollable emotional control, so they only have one choice after losing at gambling, namely using borrowed funds to continue gambling. In my opinion, only gamblers who are financially rich can avoid loans but some gamblers with a middle economy still prioritize loans for gambling, although the loan amount varies but generally can be paid on the next winning bet, they do not apply for high loans, but maybe only for some low bets because they have not reached satisfaction when gambling but have experienced losses.

Don't know how fast people can take loan for gambling. From your response, erep, it sounds to me like the player has the privilege or choice of taking a loan while gambling when he exhausts his funds. However, in other contexts the gambler takes the loan due to being broke and have nothing to use for gambling. So, if a means exists for taking a loan while gambling just to feel ok for the moment, gamblers may still abuse it. I could remember a member, here, thinking about setting up such services. However, the middle economy gamblers, who take loans in bits have no trouble to face during their gambling course. Since it's not much and can be replaced with their income. The trouble starts with the low earners who borrow huge amount of cash just to gamble. That's not a great method for gamblers, though, whether high or low roller.

Is there anyway to help this person? I have given some advice to start using small percentage of the whole salary and safe the rest but still couldn't, and I don't want to help him to hold his money for him, he is over 28 years old, not a underage.

He have gotten used to this way because he started gambling all by himself and he won some money but end up even fuelling his addiction. What is next? Any tip?
There is no particular age at which you can be considered capable of making correct decisions when it comes to gambling, Age is never a consideration. You did not mention if he already has a family. If he does, then it's a major concern for his family. However, if he is single and only earning for himself, the least you can do is to keep advising him and attempt to talk him out of it. Taking or leading him to a new interest so you can shift his focus away from gambling is a good idea.
You can get him involved in sports or help him meet a girl for a date the idea is to give him a new interest, so his focus is not only on gambling.
When I was very active in betting in fiestas and losing a lot of money my friend helped me overcome this by introducing me to the sport of chess It is a mind game but it will strengthen your control and you will learn how to think clearly.

1015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: January 31, 2024, 02:45:55 PM
Not addicted but better to called them professional. Addicted gamblers can't be successful gamblers cause as they are addicted to gamble, so they can't help themselves placing bets whatever the match is! They always looking for gambling and money does matter for them and they lose most of the time. But successful gamblers are them who win bets most. As they are successful gamblers, that means they are successfully earning money from gambling, right? And so they keep visiting gambling website for opportunity and they won't place bet until they ensure about it by their confidence. I think here are the difference

I think the key to define an addiction is that it is creating something negative in your life.

If you have a great life and gamble a lot, yet you manage to not lose all your money, or affect your life in a negative way, then you are not addicted.

It's not about the amount of time you spend doing something, it's about how it affects your life.

Non gamblers find it a hassle to differentiate between both entities, but gamblers don't have to deal with the fact of confusing themselves between both entities. Addicts struggle with knowing when to stop or continue gambling. They involuntarily do their daily gambling duties and fail to realize what trouble would inevitably visit them at the cause of this daily mistake turned to a habit. Successful gamblers having similar daily activities yet controls the game and swim through the flood of choices around them, still suffer from the harsh words of critics that label them irrespective of their responsible gambling, addicts. The decision or choice is best to be discussed amongst gamblers than non-gamblers. It'll require a load of consistent advice and conversation for a non-gambler to understand the differences between an addict and a successful gambler.
1016  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When I'm emotional, I LOSS! on: January 30, 2024, 09:02:20 PM
That's a battle you will need to fight with your willpower and patience. People who have a lot of patience and self-control tend to be safe from such emotional rides because they are always calm and collected and they know what steps they need to take in every situation. Whether they are winning or losing, they know when they need to stop and when it's time for them to take a step back.

I believe every single gambler faces this situation and has this thing in them, however, a lot of gamblers manage to control their emotions and don't let them get control over them because when that happens, you lose the ability to think critically and you will make decisions that aren't good for you.
Emotional control is indeed a serious problem for gamblers.
in my opinion only wise gamblers can control their emotions when playing. not to mention the lure of other gamblers who influence us to continue playing even though we have won or even when we lose.
I myself have been like that. If you have lost, your fellow gamblers are even encouraged by fellow gamblers to continue playing and double their bets so that they can return their previous losses.

In some cases, that's not right, but sometimes the chances of choosing who is next to us is not there. The obligation of taking decision is still fully possessed by the gamblers. Nobody is to be blamed, although the suggestion of players around him can change his mind to wager more. And the gambler is sure it'll injure him on the last lap. Who then is to answer for the mistake of chasing for losses? The gambler. Players need to retain their emotional strength, not to get anxious about a gambling outcome. Emotional instability affects the player and make him listen to the statement of others. Laughing or smiling over the free tips from close by people, shows that the gambler is only there for fun. Not being disturbed, as a way of trying to please the players around him. Although experts expect that a gambler obey their contributions in the casino, yet the player holds the final conclusion. The money is his, and playing smart with it, should be the person's promise to himself and family.

Gambling is designed to be addictive, and the odds are always stacked against you. The more you play, the more likely you are to lose. It's like swimming upstream in a river that's constantly getting faster – eventually, you'll get swept away.

Chasing losses is a recipe for disaster. It's like trying to catch a falling knife – you'll end up getting hurt. Remember, every bet is a separate event, and past wins  have no bearing on the future.

Now, about your friend: questioning their gambling habits is crucial, but be gentle. Don't judge, just offer concern and support. Ask how often they gamble, how much they win/lose, and how it impacts their life. Maybe share some stories of people who struggled with gambling addiction, or suggest they talk to a professional.

Remember, gambling shouldn't be an everyday activity. It should be treated like a fun night out, not a daily routine. Set a budget, stick to it, and know when to walk away.

His friends trying to convince or persuade him shouldn't be left without answering some specific questions. Whenever, someone approach another gambler, both players need to stay active and make contributions to the discussion. We all know that in gambling, no right advice. But we can learn more from talking over some strategies. Compare and contrast the qualities, advantages, and disadvantages of the technic. The players are not meant to share their information or contribution in a convincing way, provided the player is still stable emotionally, he's not actually bad with his strategy. So, it's good to know that convincing another person to stop his strategy won't work faster than the close discussion which you suggested. It's not meant to be an argument or misunderstanding.

We know what's right and what's wrong, we stick to doing what we think is good for ourselves, as long it generates good profits, we will continue doing it without doubts. Gambling is not good, we just have to do what we think is right in our front eyes, not ever backing down from taking responsibility for life because it's literally hard to understand. We all have our reasons, we gamble because we need extra changes while some gamble because they're facing financial troubles which is absolutely wrecking their status.

The gambler's aim plays a vital role in his behavioral changes. Gambling has multiple uses, and a user need to be careful how he utilizes his chances in gambling activities. Because it's not simple to control our emotions when we are spending money. Have you noticed that when you don't have a plan in the mall, you'll buy things you don't need. Hence, it's important that a human has some plans whenever he's about to spend money. So that he'd be able to know when to stop gambling. The excessive need of money is not good for a gambler. It's better to look out for other opportunities of making money, than depending on gambling for financial aids. Gambler can't be good for everyone, but some it's a good activity. Being part of the gamblers who enjoy the process, helps in relaxing the brain and handing out analytical knowledge to the player.

This is a possible alternative to not give him money anymore, because he might be out of control and end spending that money with gambling, while in fact he should be spending money with his basic needs, school's demands and rides with his friends. However, to not give him money will difficult his life a lot, because this way his parents will have to give him the items he needs, instead of fiat. At some point it will be impractical and too time consuming for his parents as well to give him access to everything he needs in real time.

A more practical solution would be to monitor his banking account app through the history of transactions. If he deposits any money at casinos, his parents will know about it, so they can punish the son for his disobedience. It's not possible to say he is going to learn the lesson and stop acting against his parents' wishes, but that is something they must try to do, as there isn't easy alternative here for a rebel individual, who is unable to control his impulses.

That's a better alternative than not handing out some dollar bills to him. Such problems are not resolved with any form of aggression. Following up gradually and trying to discuss it with him could be faster therapy, than looking for a strict means of stopping him. Provided the child goes out of the house, nobody would be able to tell exactly what he's done. A child could be smart enough to trick his parents not to figure out he's still gambling. So, while tracing his transaction logs, it's important to check up on him and talk. His reactions when gambling is raised up, can help the parents to know how intrigued the child is towards gambling. Does he get upset and doesn't want to talk about gambling or excited to hear his parents talking about gambling. The strength of the conversations would determine the best solution for the child's gambling addiction.

It's a family rule that any woman who has at some point seen or experienced another person maltreated by a gambler, will most likely avoid any type of gambler. Responsive or compulsive. It's the main trouble the responsive gambler go through in relationships. The wife will hardly stay comfortable being with a gambler, regardless of his habits being good and coordinated. So, the compulsive gambler also has made things harder for responsible gamblers. That means every gambler would face some domestic violence, especially when the wife is not in support of gambling activities. Such people under such rules can't jeopardize it; the behavior is that way. However, good, detailed communication solves lots of troubles. If the responsive gambler is smart enough to make his wife understand he's not like an addicted gambler, they'll be peace in the family.
I agree that it could have a beneficial effect on their relationship and solve any issues if a responsible gambler is able to properly speak with his wife and reassure her that he is not an addict. It should not be an issue at all, in my opinion, if men tell their wives about their gambling habits, set limitations, and talk about the steps they take to ensure responsible behavior. Of course, open communication and clear boundaries can help partners achieve a positive outcome in their relationship and prevent chaos in the home. As with any successful relationship, transparency and understanding are essential components.
It truly is up to the couple to manage their situations and speak with one another. In my opinion, the gambler also has an obligation to protect his family and not jeopardize them. However, I believe that some compulsive gamblers are sick individuals who only care about themselves and may even be planning to harm their partner; in such cases, they ought to be put in jail.

Yeah, but people want to hide the habit from their wife, because they don't seem to know her next reaction. Hence sticking the truth into the ground and cover it up, seems like what would solve the problem. On the long run, if the player begins to develop some symptoms of addictions, he won't have the need to ask his spouse for help, since it's been a secret from the onset. A person who doesn't know the cause of a problem will find it difficult to solve. As gamblers, opening up to our spouses is the right step to follow. So, that when things begin to change, our partner would be the first to notice. Hence, minimizing the risk of the problem. The fault sometimes goes to the gambler, as the cause of the trouble. However, if he shared the trouble with close friends, he wouldn't be blamed so much. But people think the other way round, that when they open up that people won't be able to save them. On the contrary, sharing the problem, brings some negative responses, but for sure they would be a change in the situation of the problem. Two heads are better than one in problem gambling.
