I think it will still have value, look at how many centralized crypto in the market right now, and they still have value. But the value will much more different than now, the community wouldn't be as strong, and the price wouldn't be as high as of now. Though it will still be the father of cryptocurrency since you never mention to delay the launch.

But in my opinion it's understandable at some extent, not all of the citizen under the government have understanding and knowledge in financial and technology, and those people need to be protected by the government, and the easiest way to protect is to make everything under their control.
