1001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quick profit is the only reason why we invest in Altcoins on: February 19, 2024, 06:36:17 AM
I think that investors that buys altcoins for quick profits are the ones that buys new projects, because buying them is gambling, they can give the investors many times their ROI, or the project can be dead on arrival or won't survive to reach long term. I wouldn't categorize top altcoins like Ethereum, BNB and Solana, as altcoins that we invest in for short term profit purposes, because they're altcoins that have stood the test of time in the crypto market, and they have proven to have the potentials of hodling for a long term. This is why I advice investors that wants to buy new projects to invest the amount that they can afford to loose, because they're very risky.
1002  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Road to Bitcoin bull run on: February 18, 2024, 05:08:36 PM
With the way the country be there's need to save in Bitcoin and foreign currencies to survive the economic hardship. So if you get foreign currencies for your dorm account na good thing but the way our government dey yan dem fit covert am to naira. But if you get bitcoin e sure for you die because Bitcoin na edge over inflation and people wey buy during the bear market or wey don dey accumulate since already don double their investment and with the bull wey dey come e go really jellof for them. So no sleeping on bike, e no too late, start today dey do DCA small small and e go help during dis tough time for we nation.

Infact we wey de knowledgeable about Bitcoin matter for dis country, really de privileged, because if everybody for naija, know wetin we know about Bitcoin investment, dem no go save dem one naira for bank, because na so di value of di money go just de depreciate everyday. Especially as we de look forward to a bountiful bull season, di best place to keep your money make e de work for you na to de accumulate Bitcoin as your power reach with DCA method and jejely de hodle am. So di only light at di end of the tunnel to de increase di value of your money for dis our detoriating economy, na to invest in value and join enlightened people for di road to Bitcoin bull run.
1003  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your view and your opinion about Ethereum? on: February 18, 2024, 03:44:31 PM
This is the right time to be bullish about ETH because potential ETH ETF approval is on the horizon and speculators can push the price up by suspecting a possible ETF approval. I think ETH is still underperforming Bitcoin's performance for the last few months. The way the bitcoin price pumped from 28k to 45k ETH, I haven't seen anything like that till now. So i am expecting a similar rally from ETH as well due to the potential ETF approval scenario.

Totally agree with you, the way that Bitcoin pumped within last year surprised many analysts, it was mainly so because of the expected ETF approval then, so I'm seeing the same scenerio playing out again as we're looking to see the SEC approval of Ethereum ETF. Ethereum, is the second most reputable crypto coin, second only to Bitcoin, so I'm looking to see it's massive pump in price, hopefully after the ETF is approved in May, this year. Despite Ethereum, underperformance, I believe that it can still surpass expectations and experience bull run with Bitcoin, and giving it's investors a very good ROI.
1004  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the rules for finding wallets on: February 18, 2024, 02:57:42 PM
Like the title says what are the rules. If I miraculously got a private key to a wallet that had Bitcoin in it but was not mine originally then does that mean I now own the wallet like finders keepers and is there any legality issues with this in the usa,uk,canada, south america. Is this more of a morality should you or should you not.

I really don't see the possibilities of how you can miraculously get another person's wallet and private keys without that person gifting it to you, unless the original owner misplaced the list where they wrote it or you stole it. The former is acceptable, so far it's a gift, but the two latter that I mentioned is criminality, that's how I see it, unless you can enlighten us with the details of how you miraculously got it. But frankly I don't know the extent of criminality it'll be if my second option being when the owner misplaced it, and another person finds it, without knowing who own it? Unless the Bitcoin is in a centralized exchange, where KYC can determine the original owner, if there's no other means of determining who the owner is, the I guess the finder can keep it, but I don't know about selling it.
1005  Economy / Economics / Re: Save money today so money would save you tomorrow. on: February 18, 2024, 01:47:37 PM
The one phrase that I can use to qualify this topic is for use to live bellow our means or income, with this method it'll be easier to be able to save money, because if you plan your expenditure based on the income that you get, then it'll be very difficult to have savings. The economic hardship in my country today makes it very difficult for any average income earner to save money, because our currency is devaluing everyday while the prices of goods keeps skyrocketing everyday, to be able to save, the only option that is left for most of us is to drastically cut down on expenses, have a tight budget and be very disciplined to spend within that budget. The savings can be invested in a valuable asset like Bitcoin, which always apreciates in price if held on a long term.
1006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why mega threads always be kept open on: February 18, 2024, 12:56:30 PM
Ideally, discussions that have been answered should be locked because many discussions will be repeated. However, for discussions that continue to develop, such as discussions regarding the Serie A League which continues to present new matches throughout the season, these discussions do not need to be locked until the season is over.

However, because the only people who can lock the thread are the OP and the moderator, if you find a discussion that is considered finished, you might be able to report it to the moderator so that the discussion is locked.

I marvel too when I see mega threads, and I often wonder why they're still relevant after they've surely exhausted every areas to touch pertaining the discussion raised in the OP, I've never researched in the forum to know whether it's the moderators that intentionally leaves the threads. Although having mega threads for continuous events in the gambling section like different sports leagues is good, instead of starting a new topic on them, it'll be better to continue on the existing thread, it's also good because you can get information of previous games that have been played in the league.
1007  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: No KYC Crypto Trading Platforms on: February 18, 2024, 11:44:51 AM

Site is too slow to load and nothing new in this site. I don't know why OP is promoting as I have not seen any referel event. Domain is created in January 2024 for one year which show that it is totally new and couldn't be trusted. Mexc is best exchange so far in my view which offering vast crypto trading without any kyc.

I doubt that the OP can blame anyone here for being skeptical about this none KYC exchange that he's advertising here, due to the various scams and hacks in the crypto space, people will prefer to use exchanges that have proven their reputations and can be trusted. So far on this thread, coinhub, trust rating is low because it's been perceived as a scam, but if it's legit and can withstand the test of time, in a few years time it'll gain trust and more crypto traders will be using it's services. As you have noted mexc,  is your best none KYC exchange, because they've built a reputation and gained the trust of crypto traders, so any new exchange must go through criticism to gain the trust of crypto users or be labeled a scam.
1008  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are most scammers from Nigeria? on: February 18, 2024, 08:03:29 AM
Such affirmations only hurt the sense and perception people can have on Nigeria, which I am sure is a lovely country, despise of all the problems it could be going through.

I'm a Nigerian, born and brought up in the country and I can tell you that we have far more sincere people who have integrity and work hard legitimately to earn their incomes, so it's very unfair to categorize a country of more than two hundred million citizens as scammers, when the number of scammers are perhaps just two percent of the total population. It's true that we have corrupt politicians and we have criminals in the country, but these issues are not perculiar to Nigeria, I believe that there are scammers even in developed countries like the US and Europe, and not just in Africa and Asia. So my point again is that if just a very insignificant proportion of the population are scammers, it'll be unjust to categorize Nigerians as scammers, being criminal minded is a choice that people make anywhere in the world.
1009  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Post quality matters than replying fast on: February 18, 2024, 07:18:55 AM
I think that the time duration that it takes for a member to reply or quote in a thread doesn't really matter, what matters is the quality of post, because a person can take one hour in replying a post and it'll still be a shitpost, while another person with a vast knowledge of the topic can just reply in a few minutes. I'm not bothered about being among the first set of people to post in a topic, what matters is my quality contribution to the thread, we're not in competition in this forum, so we basically share our thoughts so others can see things from our own perspective.
1010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My wealth plan in the next 3 years from today on: February 18, 2024, 06:44:46 AM
It is better to spread out your investment specially in crypto, there are other great alt coin out there not just Tron.
Always remember to never put all your eggs in one basket, try to have other option or back up in case something went wrong with your current investment.

It's very true that in cryptocurrency market we should not put all our eggs in one basket, it's better to diversify our investment into different trusted projects, so that at anytime atleast one of them will be experiencing price pump, again you don't know when a coin can hit rock bottom and remain there, so it's not safe to invest only one crypto coin, except Bitcoin.

Personal if I must invest in only one crypto coin, then it must be Bitcoin, because it's the most trusted and reputable among every cryptocurrency in the market, and every knowledgeable person in the crypto space knows that. I however wish the OP best of luck in choosing only Tron, for his crypto investment.
1011  Economy / Economics / Re: If you can't pay your mortgage or car lease can you bring keys? on: February 17, 2024, 12:02:58 PM
I believe that banks must've figured out these scenarios where a person takes loan for house or a car lease and doesn't pay or stops the instalment payments along the way, perhaps the person drops keys as the OP said, they'll look into the circumstances to know why the customer acted how they did. I believe that the outcome of their investigation will determine how they'll plan to recover their money.

I'm not so knowledgeable about mortgages and car lease but I know that if a person takes loan from a bank and defaults payments, that the bank will do everything possible to recover their capital and interest, this is why they ask for collaterals and guarantors before giving out loans. If the borrower doesn't pay back the loan, they'll go after the collateral and the loan guarantors. Finally I know that they'll blacklist the person, so that he'll not be given a loan in another bank, until he settles his loan repayment with them.

1014  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Preventive measures not to lose your btc on: February 16, 2024, 07:52:04 AM

2. Do not be fooled with their sweet words where they keeps asking you to invest and make money your interest within 24hrs to gain about 100 percent of your investment. Note; this is purely scam otherwise no other investment platform or anyone to be trading and giving you back 100 percent of your capitals.
This should be the first red flag to let you know it's false marketing and the go-to line of scammers. What business promises a hundred percent of returns in your investment after a day? Jeez! That's bastard money if you do the math! If there's one thing common about humans, it's greed. Not everyone will be keen to share their knowledge with the public, rather they will prefer to keep making the money for themselves. I feel if most investors were not so gullible and impatient to take in profits, there will be less of these incidences.
Scammers are being innovative but some are so desperate so you'd be able to tell by some moves they make. Most times the best thing to do before indulging in an investment you've not heard of before is to make your research.

When someone tells you that you can invest money in a project and within a very short period of time, like a few days, you'll get many times over your ROI, know then that it's a shining red flag and a sign for you to flee, so you must avoid it by all means. Common sense tells me that if an investment like that is possible, it'll be kept a secret as long as the profit keeps pouring in, because they'll keep reinvesting their money without anybody knowing, although the problem is that people that you trust can ignorantly sale the idea of investing in a scam investment, because they're told that it's legit. So the answer for me is to make research and have adequate knowledge of any investment before putting money into it, this includes buying Bitcoin and knowing how to secure your wallet.
1015  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Road to Bitcoin bull run on: February 15, 2024, 06:00:16 PM
My naija people I hail una, I hope say di dollar to naira rate wey de make our beloved naira to devalue everyday no too affect una Bitcoin journey to bull run. Anyhow we wey know wetin de for crypto matter suppose try to de do DCA method to de accumulate and hodle Bitcoin, no matter how small, because in approximately one year  time from now, hopefully we go get plenty ROI. Bitcoin halving de happen like leap year, because na once in every four years e de happen, and from research, after e happen na new ATH go follow within the next year.

So dis thread na morale to us say make we no give up for our Bitcoin hodling , based on di economic hardship wey we de face for our country now. Who sow in tears go reap in joy and happiness, e no easy but make we no give up, in di end success is certain. But las las, Bitcoin accumulation to bull season no be do or die affair, if we try  but no get money to de buy Bitcoin, because of di coming bull run, make we no kill ourselves, after dis bull run other bull runs go still come in the future.
1016  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You only got what you deserve on: February 15, 2024, 06:53:21 AM
Ignorance most times make people to invest in shitcoin. They believe it can be pumped at anything thereby giving them good profit. But they never look into the negativity of it been dumped and making them lose their fund. Just like OP has said, you deserve anything that comes from your action in any investment you made.

I don't think that anybody will deliberately plan to fail in their crypto investment, people plan their investment based on the level of knowledge that they have, so in that sense I wouldn't really say that they deserve the failure of investing in shitcoins, it's just the lack of adequate knowledge. So the main reason why people with good intentions to invest and make profit fail is because of ignorance, lack of proper research to equip themselves with the right knowledge about reputable crypto coins that will guarantee them ROI , like Bitcoin and top altcoins like Ethereum. Unless you want to say that investors deserve what they get based on the level of their knowledge, then I can agree with the OP to an extent.
1017  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin Investment VS Betting 😱😱😱😱 on: February 14, 2024, 05:51:37 PM
Nothing concern Bitcoin investment and betting, di former na digital asset wey don proof im reputation for crypto market as di most reliable crypto coin wey di value go de continue to de increase, while di latter na gambling wey depend on luck for di gambler to win money. Although both of dem get risk factors but di risk of Bitcoin de very minimal and na only wen you invest in am on di short term you no go de sure of profit, because di price de pump and dump, but if you hodle am for long term, no matter how di price fluctuate, e go still de go higher during bull seasons. Bet risks de very high, no matter how you predict di outcome of di game, na by luck you fit to take win.
1018  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Europe should create their own European Forces on: February 14, 2024, 04:03:09 PM
I believe that NATO must have terms of agreement for it's member nations, if they have standard requirements that they abide by, then I wonder why this issue will come up in the first place. If it's the US that have been carrying the burden of funding NATO, then I can't really blame Trump, for making such statements, other member nations must also show financial commitments to their cause.

Although in an election year politicians will make comments to shake up political opponents, just to increase their chances of winning in the election, so I wouldn't bother too much about the trump, comments, because both the US and EU are technologically advanced nations and I believe that they can work out any differences that they might have.

1020  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: This idea will reduce shit posting on the board. on: February 13, 2024, 05:32:44 PM
We know that the best way to correct people is to do the thing you are advising them on so I'm thinking that if our snr bosses can post more in the board, he number of shit post will reduce.
This is a valid point because it is true that the newbies can learn from the established members. If many established members are not posting topics/replies (especially topics that will be more helpful) on the local board, you can visit the English boards to see how established posters are posting. It is not that different from how posting pattern should be on local board.

I want to commend Charles-tim, for im efforts for dis our local board, for my observation without blowing his trumpet, anybody wey de active for dis our local board go testify say among our ogas dem for dis board, im follow de try pass for posting matter. Aldo make our newbies no go take our ogas dem as an excuse to de start low quality posts for our board, if dem no get any meaningful topics to start discussion e better say make dem just de make contributions for quality posts wey odas start, no be by force say dem must start topic for di forum, only start if you get something wey go benefit oda here.
